    Thai B1. Thai Milk Tea

Nice quiet place just off the main road. It was across the street from my hotel. Service was quick and very friendly. I got drunken noodles and Thai tea and they were excellent. There was a large portion and I couldn't finish it all. I'm here for a couple days an hopefully I can make it back before I leave.

Found this place when I was across the street at Sherman Williams. I hopped over across the street to checked this place out for lunch. It's a small quaint place, a little warm inside but the hubs and I was the only one in for lunch, so that helped. The waiter gave us time to look over the menu and we ordered the chicken teriyaki and chicken pad Thai. Chicken Teriyaki- nice flavor, not too sweet. They use chicken thighs which made it flavorful and it came with plenty of rice. Very yum! Chicken pad Thai - was plentiful, made with chicken breast. It had a lot of sauce; which I prefer mine on the drier side. It was also a bit too sweet for me but overall it's still a solid dish. Both dish had great presentation as if you are sitting in a 5 star restaurant...well yeah you are :-) Come try out this spot as they have both Thai and Japanese dishes.

Recently I've been craving Pad Thai. It was a night that I couldn't go out to eat because I needed every hour for taxes. So ordering in Thai was a must. Amaz Asian was my choice. It was close, a small business & had been reviewed by friends. My Chicken Pad Thai arrived quickly. But it was packed into much too small a container. The noodles were clumped together & had to be separated to eat. The dish was good but the chicken pieces were completely flat, which was puzzling. The container was marked Mild. I don't remember there being a choice. Mine would have been Medium. Should I ever order again for delivery I would include a lot of special requests. And I think I would choose the Vegetable Pad Thai. I certainly want to give this business another chance.

Small place off shore drive near Little creek Rd. Wouldn't know it was there if the sign on shore drive was not there. Asian fusion menu but when I came here I was craving Thai food. It was completely empty when I went which is a red flag sometimes especially during meal hours. The food came out hella quick and well presented. I was pleasantly surprised it tasted as good as it looked. Not the best pad see ew I've had for the price I paid. I would like to try the other dishes my next visit like the sushi. It was a bit "sticky" in there on a day when it's hot outside which can be uncomfortable for some people.

This restaurant is cute, inviting, cozy. There's a patio sitting area with inspirational decor (you are beautiful inside out) The entrance has cute faux foliage and wicker baskets indicative of the Asian touch/decor. More inspirational reminders are in the foyer/main area (love all, etc) There's an alcove to the side for the dining area, cooled by window AC units which I think adds to the simple charm. I ordered the Massaman curry with chicken, mild. Other protein choices are tofu, pork, beef, salmon, shrimp. Two small notes: It was supposed to be mild, but it lacked another level of spicyness (is this a word?); to me it wasn't even spicy. The sliced carrots in the curry needed to be a little bit tender, they were more on the crispy not cooked side. Wish they were as tender as the potatoes. For dessert, I chose the taro custard. If you're a taro fan, you're in for a treat! Real chunks of taro give that earthy yummy taste. I'd order this custard again, maybe ask for a little sprinkle of coconut milk to bring it up another notch! Can't leave this review without mentioning the great polite service. Appointments were great: napkins and straws were in a cute container, silverware tucked in folded paper napkins, cold tap water served in its own carafe.

Pad Thai w/shrimp. The classics never go out of style. I will definitely order again!

I love this place. The food is amazing. I've been pleased with everything I've ordered. And I want to try everything on the menu. Great service. Beautiful presentation. I am particularly fond of the new private back patio seating. You're away from traffic noise. We actually had the back yard to ourselves. Check this place out!

Second time coming here, the food was just as good as I remembered the first time. It is a small spot, most likely run by a family. Staff members are always kind and if packed may have a little bit of a wait time but your food will always come out nice and hot.

Was in the mood for seafood but passed their sign and decided to try it. I went with the green curry with fried chicken. I don't normally order curry dishes but Amaz Asian Cafe Bistro has changed my mind. I should also add that Pan was helpful and very gracious. Thank you for a nice casual dining experience.

We stopped in for a bite of lunch and were impressed again! This time we had their Thai 'scotch egg' and red curry. One with chicken and the other with crispy tofu. They were both so good, just so so yummy. This place is seriously good! I can not wait to come back!

This place was exactly what I was looking for when traveling to Virginia! Very cute and aesthetic place with amazing food. Truly a hidden gem and surprisingly wasn't busy when we stopped by. The plating was also such a pretty touch. You can tell they pay attention to detail. I wish I lived in the area so I could try everything but I will be coming back!

Visited Amaz Asian and had an exceptional experience; it's among the best Asian restaurants I've tried. Greeted warmly, ordered via tablet, and enjoyed fresh, flavorful food served promptly. Everything was a 9/10, with the Thai Tea standing out for its perfect balance of sweetness. Ordered Thai Tea, Veggie Rolls, Deep Fried Chicken Wonton, Pad Kee Mao, and Chicken Teriyaki. Highly recommend visiting if in the area.

Drink Ordered: Thai Tea Appetizer: Wings with Fish Sauce Main Dish: Katsudon Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet) Dessert: Taro Ball Coconut Milk TL;DR: AMAZ Asian Cafe & Bistro is a must-visit for those seeking authentic Asian flavors in a modern, welcoming setting. From the classic Thai Tea to the perfectly crispy Katsudon Tonkatsu, every dish is crafted with care and genuine taste. The Taro Ball Coconut Milk dessert rounds off the meal beautifully, making this a memorable dining experience. Would I return? Absolutely! Ambiance AMAZ Asian Cafe & Bistro offers a modern, inviting cafe ambiance that makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The decor combines clean, contemporary lines with subtle Asian-inspired elements, creating a space that's both stylish and comfortable. The welcoming vibe and attentive staff set the perfect tone for a relaxed dining experience. Drinks I started with a classic Thai Tea, which tasted as authentic as those you'd find in Thailand. It was perfectly balanced--creamy, sweet, and rich with that signature Thai tea flavor. The drink had just the right level of sweetness and an appealing orange hue that made it both visually enticing and enjoyable to sip. Appetizers The Wings with Fish Sauce were a fantastic choice for an appetizer, and they showcased a real commitment to authentic flavors. Each wing had a crispy exterior and tender interior, with a slightly sweet and savory glaze from the fish sauce that was deeply flavorful. The umami notes were spot-on, delivering that traditional flavor profile you'd expect from this classic dish. Main Course The Katsudon Tonkatsu (Pork Cutlet) was another winner, with every detail echoing traditional Japanese preparation. The pork cutlet was golden and crispy, topped with a perfectly balanced savory-sweet sauce that brought out the natural flavors of the meat. Paired with fluffy rice that absorbed the flavors, this dish was as authentic as it was delicious, offering true comfort food with an Asian twist. Dessert To end the meal, I had the Taro Ball Coconut Milk dessert. This dish captured the authentic flavors of Asian desserts--lightly sweet and refreshingly creamy. The taro balls added a unique, chewy texture that complemented the rich coconut milk, rounding out the meal with a traditional, satisfying finish.

I noticed there was a line at Pei Wei so I figured I'd try it out. The food looked similar to Panda Express. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got the fire shrimp, the hot chicken, stir fried string beans, and rice and noodles. The price for 3 items came to about $14, which seemed reasonable. I wasn't thrilled with the portion, it looked like more than it actually was. But it only looked fuller because it was piled up on top of the rice. The plate looked appealing. The chicken was very bland and it seemed a little questionable when I bit into it. The first 2 pieces I ate were like weird grissle so it turned me off. The shrimp was better, it was ok, but definitely soggier than I liked. The string beans were lacking flavor. I did like the sweet n sour sauce and the yum yum sauce and the noodles were ok. They had a few chicken options, veggies, egg rolls, shrimp, and etc. I wasn't the biggest fan of this food unfortunately. But people were buying it. I don't see me buying it again, but it wasn't the worst I've ever had. Meh!!

I called earlier in the day to see if we should make reservations, but was told they wouldn't be busy. Well, we got there and while they had plenty of tables at 6:30PM, but 7PM that place was completely packed! They had lots of carry-out orders happening too, which all made the kitchen a little slow. We ordered many dishes to share and all started coming out one after another over the next hour until the beef & broccoli was the last dish. Again, I attribute the slowness of the kitchen to their being so busy. At least all the food that came out was very fresh, tasty, and piping hot. Some interesting items that were quite good were their potatoes and green peppers. This dish is something I've never seen before but was pretty good! It features long julienned potatoes that they clearly soak in water before wok'ing with the peppers - that was all that was in the dish, but it was still tasty. Their Fish in Chili Oil & Bean Sprouts was really tasty and fresh! The fish is flounder. Their spicy wontons in chili oil were very popular with our group too. Service here was friendly too and helpful. Like I said, we tried many items, so many more than I just outlined and all were nice. I'd definitely return for a slightly more elevated Chinese menu from what you get at the typical Chinese-American joints.

I had the Ebi (shrimp) curry ramen. The curry was very flavorful but different than both Jamaican and Indian curries. I don't like that they keep the tails on the shrimp even though it's in the ramen. I also had salmon rice balls as well as Shumai. The shumai was good and so were the rice balls, but never having had rice balls, they weren't what I was expecting. I expected them to have meat in them but it was just rice with salmon flavored powder. We also added hot green tea to our meal. While not anything special, I do like to end my meal this way. The service was pretty good but we didn't like that our waitress stood next to our table from the moment we sat down. We felt pressured to hurry up and order, and it just made things awkward. She was very attentive though. This restaurant is your typical local Japanese style restaurant. Very authentic in its feel and decor - nothing fancy, basic service. But if you like more authentic type dishes vs chain restaurants, I think this is a place to try! Oh, I will also add this place was alot less expensive than places like Domoishi! I give it a 3 star because I feel neutral about it - not because anything was super wrong about it!
