No wait for my party of 5 on a Saturday evening. We shared the black pepper garlic noodles, shrimp laksa noodle, roti curry, Singapore chili crab cracker, salty egg yolk fried rice, salt & pepper wings, pineapple fried rice, and garlic bread. Food was served quickly. My favorites were the black pepper garlic noodles, shrimp laksa noodle, roti curry, salty egg yolk fried rice, and garlic bread. These were all flavorful and delicious. I was ok about the Singapore chili crab cracker because I was felt like the chili crab dip was overly salty. The rice crackers were good though. Salt & pepper wings were ok and on the dry side. Pineapple fried rice is usually one of my favorite Thai dishes but it missed the mark for me here - it was quite dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. Overall fun restaurant to eat at and glad I got to try. Ambiance is great, nicely decorated, spacious, and the menu has huge variety so there's something for everyone.
They have a pretty big menu. It took a good amount of time to decide on what to order. I contemplated between the Thai boat noodle & khao soi. You can choose the type of noodle for most of the noodle soups except khao soi. Decided to go with the Thai boat noodle, it was okay. I think I just prefer other types of noodle soups more, but still worth the try. Both dishes had good portion with the noodles & meats. I wish they offered the wide rice noodles! The garlic bread was good. You'll see garlic bits on it and it has such a nice crunch. Crab fried rice was decent, definitely taste the pepper. Good customer service. I was brought to a table & let the worker know it was my first visit. She shared some recommendations & provided some helpful input. I dined in around 12pm, so it kept busy with people coming & going. Pretty flower wall decor at the back of the restaurant, brighter lighting in that area too. Easy parking at the plaza.
Lots of flavor. Everything tasted great. Garlic bread was just garlic bread but pretty good. Fried eggplant has nice texture but cocktail sauce on it was odd. Attentive service. Fair price. Modern and clean dining area.
It was not too busy between lunch and dinner. We came in and they seated us promptly. The decor is very cute and fanciful. Like a wedding party. You order from your phone from a qr code website. It is very hands off and convenient. We got roti with curry sauce as the appetizer and it was yummy. A bit expensive, but good. Don't get pho noodles with the noodle soups. They are overcooked and too soft. We got Tom yum soup and chicken Laksa. The soups were OK tasting.
After a year in my bookmarks, finally got around to Amazing Basil in for their lemongrass chicken laksa noodle soup which does have a kick but not unbearably hot. The basil pork with rice and egg wasn't what we expected though so was a bit disappointed. Being under the BBQ special section, was expecting grilled pork slices vs. ground pork. But would be back for their different laksa and drinks like their mango mojito made with mango puree and pure sugar cane juice that was so good, I got a second one to go. You do order by a QR code so if you want to add more food or drinks, they have to reopen your tab for you.
I've been to Amazing Basil a few times and surprisingly really like their pho. The broth is a little sweeter than what you'll usually get at other Vietnamese restaurants, but I actually enjoy it. The portions are generous for the price, so I think it's a really good deal overall. This time I tried the laksa and bone marrow. The laksa was flavorful and had a nice richness to it, and the bone marrow was a fun addition to the meal. Everything was pretty satisfying in my opinion. The servers are also kind and helpful, which makes the experience better. The interior is really nice and well decorated, with plenty of good spots to take pictures. Overall, it's a solid place for Vietnamese/Thai/Malaysian style food, especially if you're looking for good portions at a reasonable price. I'd definitely come back for the pho.
The interior is such a vibe! The decor is super cute, and the servers are very kind. Parking can be a nightmare in this very busy plaza, but if you get there early, it's not a problem. I met up with my non-vegan best friend, and we both loved our meals. We shared two vegan appetizers and each got our own entree. I appreciate that they have a separate vegan menu with lots of options to choose from. Here's what we ordered: Mango Mojito, Vegan Thai Tea, Roti Curry, Vegan Crispy Eggplant Strips, Vegan Shrimp Laksa Noodle Soup, and Premium BBQ Combo. The presentation of our dishes was on point, and the portions were generous. Everything I tried was super flavorful and delicious. The curry sauce for the roti was incredible, and the breading on the crispy eggplant was really flavorful and tasty, though I was a bit surprised by the ketchup on top. Next time, I'd ask for the ketchup on the side. The laksa noodle soup broth had an amazing depth of flavor. I didn't try the mango mojito or BBQ combo, but my friend said she absolutely loved them! Highly recommend checking this place out; we're definitely going back to try more things!
I've dined in a handful of times over the last few years but have ordered Door Dash or takeout from here another handful of times. When I've gotten takeout I have almost always gotten the premium bbq combo with garlic noodles. The portions are hearty with flavorful meats that last me for 2 meals. This latest time my friends and I were able to dine in I got to sit on what I would call the "pretty" side where the wall was decorated beautifully. In the past I have only sat at the side closest to the door. We decided to order a few of their appetizers and small dishes to share instead of what we normally opt for. I really enjoyed the papaya salad, clams, and fried eggplant sticks. We got there pretty close to when the restaurant opened and were able to enjoy a very leisurely and comfortable lunch catching up. I know I will likely order the premium bbq combo again in the near future for work lunch and maybe try a few other dishes when I dine in next.
Great ambiance and delicious food! Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Restaurant has beautiful floral decor which added to our celebration! Food was delicious but the service was a bit slow since they had only two servers on the floor. Most dishes were awesome but few were a miss. For a Thai place in Bay Area, their spice level is pretty much on a mild side. They have QR self ordering on the phone so it was quick but if you have questions then you had to wait until you could get the server's attention. Their drink menu is mostly boba teas & few sake based cocktails. Overall a great experience! Had a nice dinner at Amazing Basil in Fremont. The Pad Thai was decent, and the papaya salad had a great kick that really hit the spot. The ambiance was one of my favorite parts. Beautiful atmosphere with cute decor throughout that made the place feel warm and inviting. Overall, a great place to enjoy Thai food, and I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.
I want to start off by mentioning the location--it's in a great spot with plenty of things to check out nearby. I stopped by a bakery and a Japanese grocery store before coming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We were seated right away and able to place our order quickly, which I appreciated. However, I was a bit bummed about the food. My soup had little to no flavor--I understand it may not be their specialty, but it could definitely use a bit more seasoning. I also ordered a Thai tea with 100% sugar, and it still tasted a bit bland. Overall, the place is really cute and has a nice vibe, and parking is easy since there's a large lot available. I would come back, but I'd probably try something different next time.
This place is my friends' post hike go-to place. There's usually no-wait for getting a table, even for big group of people. The service is super good - the servers are super attentive in refilling the water jugs, and the food is served super quickly after ordering. There is a wide variety of south east Asian entrees on the menu. I've tried the laksa and khao soi curry noodles and both were great. My friends also really like the rice plates and the soft crab bread bowl. The drinks are also reasonably priced and tasty as well.
The food here is seriously tasty. My sister and I started with the Singapore Chili Crab Crackers, and they were incredibly addictive--crispy, savory, and packed with flavor. For mains, I had the Salty Egg Yolk Fried Rice with tiger shrimp, which was rich, fragrant, and super satisfying. My sister ordered the seafood laksa noodles. While it was still good and flavorful, we've definitely had laksa elsewhere that was creamier and a bit more indulgent. We also tried the fresh sugarcane juice, which was light, naturally sweet, and really refreshing alongside the meal. Service was solid, and everything ran smoothly. There's no physical menu--you scan a QR code and order straight from your phone, which was easy and convenient. The space itself is huge, with tables nicely spaced out, so it doesn't feel crowded even when it's busy. Overall, a great spot for bold flavors, with a few standout dishes we'd happily come back for.

Great value for the taste, ambiance is casual with nice decor. Great: grilled pork chop, salad, wine with clams, and grilled pork shoulder. Two huge pork chops for the rice plate for $13.5! Service was friendly and attentive. Ordering on QR code was easy. Menu is comprehensive! Can improve: rice is little soggy, green Thai tea a little too sweet and can be stronger on the tea. read more

Such a Beautiful, Pleasant, and Charmingly lovely atmosphere! Quite A Beautiful Setup here!!! They offers some mouthwatering dishes that includes Thai Flavors, Southeast Asia, Vietnamese Malaysian Styles, Asian Fusion recipes in their wide variety of Flavors on the menu. The drinks options were definitely delightful as well! Great flavors, Refreshing, and lovely Aroma!!! The store atmosphere is awesome, very festive and decorated with artificial flowers perfect for taking photos. Service is ok. You order from the QR code on your phone. Once you submit the order, a waitress came by and check on our order. I wanted hot thai tea boba and my friend wanted hot coffee. They did not serve any hot drinks, very disappointing. My friend end up cancelling her coffee drink. I asked for no ice for the Thai tea and was able to get that and the drink was not bad. Out of all the foods we ordered, we liked the fried egg plant the best. The rest were just ok for me. I didn't try the soups, but my husband and brother-in-law did and they liked it, but note that it has msg. Overall, I would only come back for the fried eggplant and maybe try a soup dish. We came around 11:40am and place wasn't packed yet. By the time we finished eating, the entire restaurant was packed with people and people waiting near the front entrance for a table. read more

Nice ambiance and large menu selection. They request that you pull up the menu with your phone via QR code. I like that so I don't have to touch a physical menu, but some people may not like that. As for the food, mussels with basil wine sauce had good flavor, but at least 3 of the mussels had the chewy seaweed that can't be eaten so I had to spit/remove them. The order came out fast! -Tomato crab soup was really good and lots of shrimp and fried tofu. Great broth! -Lemongrass tofu was good flavor, nice appetizer to share. -Pineapple fried rice was good, my 4 year old loved it! The only negative was that it was hard to get wait staff for water, boxes, bill, etc. Wanted to try dessert but they were out of the coconut pudding. Wanted to try the fresh sugar cane, but they were also out. I like that the digital menu let you know what was sold out. Came here with friends and the staff was very kind and thoughtful. Recommended what was best for each of us. Cute floral decor that goes well with the theme of the restaurant. We came for a casual night, craving pho, and left with a date night. First of all, when i walked in i was shocked as to how incredibly aesthetic the space is. We waited no longer than 10 mins to be seated even when it looked like it was packed. Love that they have seats for 2, 4, 6+ people. Like i said i came craving for pho but took a chance and ordered the Thai Boat Noodle which was their best seller. I was positively suprised! Loved that thai herb taste of fish sauc-y, type of soup base. It could be an acquired taste but i was there for it! My wife didnt want soup so she ordered fried rice and we love everything salted egg-flavored so we tried the salted egg fried rice. It was soooo tasty, umami, you dont even need a side dish. Something craveable indeed! Not pictured but we also ordered salt and pepper fish which was crunchy, right amount of salty, Was good with the fried rice! Cute place and very popular with the locals. You write your name on the clipboard for first come first serve basis. Food was really amazing! I didn't get to take a lot of food bc we were hungry and just wanted to dig in ;) We ordered the seafood laksa, squid legs, premium bbq combo w/ garlic noodles, papaya salad and boba drinks. Extensive menu selection for vegans! My group and I shared the Vegan drumsticks (just look at their presentation!), and I tried the Shrimp Laksa. The portion of laksa was quite generous, and it was easily two servings for me. Wish the soup were served hotter, but otherwise the flavors were great. Definitely worth a shot! read more

Been here a handful of times now and the food is consistently aesthetic, fresh and flavorful (just the green Thai tea being a little less bold than other places where I've had it). As someone with spice tolerance in-training, most of the foods here have a bit of a kick to them but none have been overwhelming yet. It's been a great place to introduce to friends/fam; everything is easy to share family style and the kitchen/staff are quick with service even when we come at peak hours. read more

Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. The clams with basil wine sauce were a standout--perfectly cooked and incredibly savory. One of the best dishes of the night! The tom yum noodle soup and seafood laksa were rich, comforting, and full of bold, spicy flavor. The bone marrow was huge and decadent--definitely worth ordering. We also enjoyed the crab fried rice and fried eggplant, both solid sides that paired perfectly with the mains. Drinks were great too--the sugar cane juice was super refreshing, and the strawberry matcha boba was just the right balance of sweet and creamy. Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. This spot boasts a wide menu with lots of options for drinks, soups, BBQ dishes, and apps. You order via QR code and have the option to customize and upgrade a lot of the plates. I went with the premium BBQ combo, which was absolutely the move. The dish came with chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and was topped with an egg! I upgraded to garlic noodles, which were fine, but not super garlicky. I liked all of the meats that came in the combo, they were flavorful and not overcooked or rubbery. I think the chicken and pork were my favorites, and I'd definitely order this combo again next time. My coworker got the crispy lemongrass chicken and was nice enough to share a bite. The chicken was so crispy, but still juicy, it was great. I never find myself in this area, but if I happened to be over here I'd for sure come back! read more
The first time I tried this place I gave the food rating 5 because I had their vegan drumstick and vegan shrimp salad which was surprisingly really good. The "fake meat texture (both drumstick and shrimp) was pretty tender. What I like about the drumstick was that they used sugar cane as the "bone" (ie stick to hold the drumstick). Boy the sugar cane was sweet and juicy. That said I went back this week for a second visit. This time we ordered the pork knuckle with rice, vegan puff and vegan shrimp laksa noodle. The laksa noodle was so diluted and has no rich curry texture or taste. One of the worst curry dish I have had unfortunately. The vegan puff was even worse. It was sooo oily and they shouldn't have used a "wonton skin" as a wrapper for the puff filling as that gave way to the greasy look, feel and taste. So food wise was a 3 out of 5 this time. It's pretty pricey too for the puffs. So taking the quality and price into consideration, I have to give it an average 3.5 rating. Service 4/5 Ambience 5/5. read more
The interior of this place is very beautiful and nice. The service was decent and the staff was friendly. There is alot of variety in their menu items from Vietnamese food to Malaysian food. I tried the Seafood Laksa Noodle, bone marrow, garlic bread, and their mint mojito. Their mint mojito and their bone marrow weren't anything special. Their garlic bread was mentioned as a "must order" on their menu and it was enjoyable. I don't know if it's a must order though. I really enjoyed the seafood laksa. It was very filling and flavorful. I also enjoyed their roti curry. I would pass on the ton Yum since the broth tasted more lemony than expected. Popcorn basil chicken was delicious. Definitely would come back here to try out their other food times. read more

I didn't look too much into this spot and was just trying to find something good for dinner with my friend. We were absolutely wowed by this place!!! Good food, good drinks, beautiful decor, and great service - hit all the marks! As soon as you walk in all the flowers greet you and make such an inviting ambiance, we also took some pictures afterwards near closing and staff were not rushing us at all. We ordered the sex on the beach drink which was SO yummy and had such sweet tropical fruity flavors. Love that these are low alc cocktail options so you don't feel bad after but can still enjoy a beautifully made drink. We got the vegetable laksa soup and the tofu curry, both were delicious and filling and I have leftovers too! I'll definitely be coming back and showing this place to more friends :) read more

What an interesting place! The decor is very nice and atmosphere is great. I love the mix of cuisine. The food was good. Definitely get a roti to start and try one of their plates. The amazing basil with pork was good but wasn't anything outstanding compared to other restaurants - I did love the sauces that it came with. The shrimp tasted like normal and the garlic noodles could use more garlic. I really enjoyed the ribeye - it was so tender and flavorful. I was surprised to learn that they couldn't make the food extra spicy, considering this type of cuisine is typically very spicy in Asia. The service was so friendly but the way they served their food was inefficient. I noticed all of the tables only some people had their food while a lot of people were waiting. I understand the lunch rush but I think most people would rather have their entire tables food come out at the same time. There was about a 15-20 minute gap between my food and the rest of my party's food which made it a bit awkward as you don't want want your food to get cold but you don't want the other person to just watch you eat. I think it would be best if they worked on a table at a time. I would have rather waited longer so our entrees could come out altogether (or at least closer). read more

Basil Clams are huge and juicy! Delicious We also ordered a thai noodle bowl, which was nice as well. However, their naming of the noodle type was a bit different. If you order "Rice vermicelli" they would give you "bun" noodle. So if you actually want real vermicelli, order "thin rice noodle". read more

I have been seeing this place all over social media, so I got curious and tried this place with my housemates. I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt because I'm not sure what kind of ethnic food this place is, but it looks like it's a mix of multiple ethnic foods in one place. This place is nicely decorated which was cool. We did not get much service as we had to self-order on our phones. For the food, we got the basil lime wings, pho, bun bo hue, laska noodle and thai tom yum noodle soup. We also got the green thai tea and coconut juice for drinks. Unfortunately, we were disappointed of how the food tasted. The basil wings and pho were bland. The bun bo hue did not taste like the real thing at all... it tasted like pho with chilis in it. The tomyum moodle tasted like mama noodle but mama noodle tastes better. The laska noodle was the best thing out of all the things we got but it also did not taste like the real thing... The only items that were satisfactory were the drinks. Overall, this place isn't so amazing... Will not be returning again. read more
Overall experience: 8.2/10 I came back with a group of friends for july 4th. The restaurant was packed with people but we were able to get a table without a wait. The food: I got the pad thai and it was a little underwhelming in the sense of flavor. The portions sizes are great and all but the dish seemed a little one dimensional, as I got the spicy version and all it mostly tasted like a dull spicy flavor with lemon. The shrimp were juicy and cooked well, and the peanuts added a great crunch, but it was missing the umami flavor. I was also able to try the vegetable eggrolls which were good, but nothing special. It had a crispy tightly rolled exterior with a flavorful interior. I also tried a little bit of the bone marrow and it was good too. The main flavor profile was the seasonings added to the marrow with the melted fat on the bread. The marrow itself was a good taste with the seasonings, and it was cool seeing the them blow torch the marrow. Overall: It was a good experience, but the pad thai was a little bit of a miss to me. I would definitely still come back and try other things on the menu but maybe pass on the pad thai. read more
Amazing Basil has great potential and maybe we just ordered the wrong items, but I found my experience there quite underwhelming. My husband and I ordered the beef skewers, roti laksa, laksa noodles with lemongrass grilled chicken, and pad thai with chicken. The beef skewers were completely flavorless and the roti was too oily. The laksa noodles did not have much flavor and just tasted like sugar, while the meat was overly cooked and very chewy. The pad thai was probably the best thing, but that isn't saying much since the meat was poorly prepared and it lacked in much flavor. I noticed other tables had their rice dishes and BBQ plates, which is probably what we should have ordered. Considering how busy they were and the aromas from the nearby tables, I would come back to give the rice and BBQ plates a try. read more
Stumbling around this strip mall looking for a place for lunch. Outside it is unassuming and inside it's quite the opposite. There's a QR code to scan to browse and order from the online menu. It's quite extensive with plenty to like. Lately I have been fixated on Thai's Kham Sol curry dish with chicken. It has a lot to offer from a single dish, ramen, regular ribbon noodles, pickle radish, along with a very generous portion of fried chicken in the curry broth. The initial taste of the broth was very pleasant but I found during the course of the meal, it lost its staying flavor where I wanted more intense curry. The fried chicken was good eventually the crispness gave way to the soup. It might have been great had I had the presence of mind to ask for the fried chicken served separately. I did enjoy noodles, crispy noodle (ramen) eating them with each bite of chicken. I had the coconut juice and it was served with little bits of coconut meat. There's nothing more refreshing than ice cold coconut juice. Service was dependent on self serve model in ordering via the QR code but the system failed to accept my order so I had to flagged a service person who manually input into their system. Similarly getting the check at the end required waving a service person or paying at the counter. Interesting process. Nice and inviting environment, generous meal portion, presentation was very appealing but flavoring may need some assistance. Since the menu is extensive, I'm interested in trying some of their other unique dishes. read more
I love the Laksa Noodle Soup here! Incredibly creamy and flavorful broth. Soooo addicting. It balanced well with the lemongrass chicken. Perfectly tender and well flavored. I highly recommend this dish! Chase it down with some sugarcane juice since it contrasts the rich laksa broth. My boyfriend got the Grilled 5 Spice Pork Chop Rice Plate, which was really good too! The pork was thinky sliced and tender. Well seasoned! It came with rice and salad. The egg roll wasn't my favorite though. read more
My first visit there like 2 yrs ago, I would definitely gave 5 stars of this place. That time I ordered the Thai basil clams, and pho and beef bone marrow. I guess really depends on what you order at this place. Today I order her crab meat fried rice, basil chicken wing and tomato crab meat soup. So disappointed! I rather I never order these food before. Did they change the chef? First the crab meat fired rice, oh my gosh, they just fired the egg white (yes, no egg yellow at all) with some onion, and then they just put that on top of a scoop of rice. Not mix or fried them together at all! When I tasted the egg white, is that even by rhe real egg? Tasted very fishy and stinky. And the onion is not even cooked. I have to re-cook the fried rice by myself. Why such simple dish, restaurant cannot cook it well. And tomato crab meat soup tastes very plain, no special flavor. And the crab meat looks like garbage, I cannot taste any crab flavor. Why I even ordered that. The basic chicken wing is so dry, the skin are very hard? Obviously overcooked, and when you try the chicken, it has some very smell, I have one bite and spit right away. I really don't understand how the quality change so much. Huge disappointment! I think if I revisit, I will only focus on the food that I am confident with. Definitely no fried rice from this place. read more
