It's incredibly frustrating to spend premium grocery prices and still have to do the work ourselves. On top of that, bagging groceries properly actually matters -- especially when buying produce, eggs, meat, or fragile items. Employees who are trained to bag groceries make a difference, and it's disappointing that customer service seems to be disappearing completely. I understand stores are trying to cut costs, but eliminating staffed checkout lanes is hurting the customer experience. Long-time customers notice the difference, and it honestly makes me question why I should continue shopping here instead of going somewhere cheaper. I'm always shopping for cheese, so it's hard not to notice that the deli is a hit-or-miss depending on what time of day you're shopping. In the morning, there seems to be a few employees with good hustle -- and still manage to stay perky and pleasant. They really take "whistle while you work" quite literally. One young man really shows off his vast knowledge of meat and additives when he's available, and he never fails to asks if I need help finding anything. I see him doing the same for others as well, and I appreciate his good energy. In the afternoon, some days are better than others, but the employees are more often a sad sight, and management is clearly lacking. I usually come in the afternoon, and there's often this unkempt Latina lady at the counter who's pretty rude to waiting customers, throws objects, and picks up items she drops onto the floor before touching the food she's preparing. I sometimes like a sandwich because the $4.99 price is a steal in this day and age -- but never when she's working. Her supervisor seems more concerned with talking trash about her coworkers while giving customers the evil eye, and less concerned with running her team. That said, I assume with this management, little is bound to change. If you're not going to fire these people, then maybe consider making them shopping cart attendants or something instead? This company seems to have peaked during the first 2 quarters of 2025, and I don't think it's going to be synonymous with quality. Sad sight... but good cheese! For your next charcuterie board, I recommend getting the rolled LaClare blueberry vanilla goat cheese and topping it with some blueberry preserves and any of the sweetest blueberries they have in stock. Unfortunately, the very first person to try it was my grandmother, and she immediately said it tasted expired. When I tried it myself, it had a fermented flavor with a bubbly texture, which was very concerning. The next day I returned to the store, and to their credit, they were kind and replaced it without any issues. However, when I opened the replacement container the following day, it also tasted expired. What concerns me the most is that neither container had an expiration date or any "best by" date. For a fresh, prepared food like guacamole, that's a serious food safety concern. There's no way for customers to know how long it has been sitting or whether it's still safe to eat. I appreciate that the employees replaced the product, but receiving a second spoiled container makes me worry that this may be a larger issue. I would strongly recommend avoiding the prepared guacamole and salsas until proper date labeling and quality control are in place. Food safety should always come first.

I placed a pick up order for the weekend for chicken and wedges the week before. My order got written on a torn piece of paper, begrudgingly. On my pick up date, I waited over 1.5 hours, they said another persons order receipt/ticket was lost and they were unprepared to fulfill all the other orders because hers was a large order. Not surprising since their ordering system is so unorganized. I should've got my order comped for the inconvenience, but the management was less than helpful. Not necessarily blaming the deli staff because they seem severely short handed every time I go in. It's a shame because my family and I love the chicken, but I have already told my family to stop ordering from there for parties. We can support elsewhere.
