They have so many different food options and it's a lot cheaper than my local Ralph's. They even have a salad bar and fresh sushi section. After waiting for 15 minutes for my pizza, it is not ready. They have not made it, and I had to wait another 15 minutes for it. After I got my pizza, it was just unsatisfactory! The pizza looked ugly, deformed, and not well made. The chicken topping was very little. The whole pizza looked like they did not put in any effort in making it. I love Amazon. My husband and I shop on Amazon quite frequently. So I got really excited about Amazon fresh because that meant having quicker access to Whole Foods products. The closest Whole Foods to me is downtown LA and Amazon fresh has some of the most affordable vegan products which I'm always looking for. This is my second time going to Amazon fresh and here's what I have to say WHAT I LIKE: The electronic carts are really cool because you can really calculate how much you are spending/putting in your cart but it's not a perfect system. There are some products that the cart does not recognize and there is no code to input for some products so you have to see a cashier The layout is nice, lots of rare fruit and vegetable available. Prices are comparable to other grocery stores. Affordable vegan items WHAT I STRONGLY DISLIKE: The excessive amount of paper bag usage. Every electronic cart Is loaded with paper bags, and each paper bag is double bagged. They also automatically start bagging your groceries. Which I don't mind but I don't prefer, because I am trying to be more environmentally friendly and again it's just an excessive amount of paper bags. That's Amazon for you I guess LOL. The reason I'm giving it a lower review as opposed to a four or five, it's simply because of the professionalism of the staff. The stuff is pretty young. A lot of them look like early 20s- late high school age. They mostly spend the time talking to one another. They don't greet you, And they definitely don't know how to code the produce just yet. For example, I bought beefsteak tomatoes and it wasn't until I got home that I realized it was coded as tomato on the vine which is more in price. Same with my lettuce. I am giving them grace because it might be that they are just getting the hang of all the coding which I definitely understand for a new grocery store but they also don't ask the customer exactly what kind of tomatoes they bought or what kind of lettuce they just assume the basic. It's imperative that they start talking to the customer more, asking the customer exactly what they bought when coding, and not just rely on Alexa to do all the customer service for them. read more

I went here to return some items I bought online and the service was great there. My fiancé got some hot foods and we went to go checkout. We had this rude lady at the cashier who looked like she didn't even wanna work there. There was no hello after we said hello and she got even more rude when she said , "NO! Came here for the first time and was impressed with the set up and ease of use. I didn't get a chance to use their "cool" digital carts, as I was doing a pretty big shop (the digital carts are recommended for about 15 items or less). I was thoroughly impressed by their meat and seafood cases and the overall organized and neat feel of the store. The layout was great and the store really flows. The one thing that that I didn't like was how empty a lot of the shelves were. It seemed as if they were sold out of many items and even heard a customer complaining to a manager about this very thing. They might try to keep their shelves stocked a little better if they want their shoppers happy. You can order ahead through your Amazon account and they'll have your items ready for you! That's super convenient. I got a $10 off coupon upon checkout and thought that was pretty neat. I think they should reward prime members with some sort of point system or "spend x amount and get x amount off" type program. Everyone likes being rewarded for buying. read more

Pros: Neat, clean, easy to find items Cons: Slow service, prices higher than regular markets. I'd rather go to Target or something. I wouldn't come here again unless I had no other option because the selection of items is limited and they're priced high. Also, the employees in the Kitchen/Pizza area had no clue what they were doing. I was waiting to order at the counter and the 3 ladies working there just looked at me and continued talking to one another for a good minute until I asked if I could order lol. I came here with high expectations, after all, Amazon is a brand that we all know and love and by far the richest food retailer by market cap. However, besides the gimmicky shopping carts with screens and the easy return and exchange for Amazon orders, I was very underwhelmed. It's just another supermarket, and not even a fancy one at that. Fun! But the cart is a bit too small for me, i need at least two cart size . I opt for the fun Amazon cart. Scan my app in Amazon and off i go! The place is practically like a whole food but with more Of the grocery items. Their price is very fair. I went on opening night. 1/14 around 8:45pm. They close at 11. Not too many people. Easy to navigate. But it does get tricky the first time. There's one way path on the aisle (i don't think anyone follows them...) i did LOL (at least for the time being) When i was done i dash out of there on the designated lane(green zone) No need to take out my phone or wallet. Finally popped in here to see what the hype was. Place was nice. Everything was well packaged and presented. The electronic cart was easy to use after a quick tutorial by a very helpful employee. Easily scanning your items and weighing produce for you. Wherever you go in the store the cart would tell you what items were on sale nearby. We went at 6pm on a Saturday and was empty. The only thing was we kept running into employees pushing carts filling orders. Felt like every time I turned a corner I would almost get hit by a worker cart. I took off a star because the prices weren't great. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here. I would go here for returning Amazon items. Overall a fun experience. read more

Employees here are friendly but this bad review is specifically for the manager Jordan that was working at the time. Never again will shop here because of him. I'm a mom and was shopping with my toddler after a long day of work. Spent an hour at the market going around the store and getting everything I needed. We had a cart full of items. I left my cart for about 10 mins are so because I had to grab 1 last item from the meat area. Came back to the cart and it was completely missing. By the time an employee had found the manager that took my cart... more than half my items were gone. He repeatedly said it was left unattended and it was gonna go bad. What angers me most is that he was so unapologetic and so unhelpful. The least he could have done was to help retrieve some of the things he put away. He kept saying it was gonna go bad... I'm sorry.. I've never see. Yogurt and eggs go bad in 10-20 mins. Being a full time working mom and getting errands done with a child is enough work in itself. To have someone show zero customer service and kindness is so disappointing. I normally do this At all markets I go to.. it's too hard to lug around a cart and a child while you're getting items so I leave at the end of an aisle, grab a few things and come back and it's never never an issue. I always have a wonderful experience at Amazon Fresh Whittier store. The produce is fresh and looks amazing. The food in the food court is hot and made daily. My favorite items are hot wings and salad bar. The cashier Laz is always friendly and has a wonderful attitude. He is courteous, polite, cheerful and has great customer relation skills. He was patient and walked me through using my Amazon app on my phone to pay for my groceries. Today I went to Amazon fresh in whittier CA. I went to by meat in the meat department. The employee was helping so many customers. She was the only one working there they should have more people helping . There was so many customers that the employee couldn't do everything at one being overwhelmed. Then The manager just looks at the employee and does nothing but stand there. I understand some employees call out or dont show up but The manager knowing that there was no one else helping should have jumped in and helped instead of doing nothing. Went in yesterday, stopped at the meat counter and asked how much is the turkey patties? The two employees looked at me confused. I pointed at the turkey patties, they did not know the difference between turkey and beef patties. I again asked for the price of the turkey patties. Never got a price! Never mind,I said. asked to speak to the manager of the meat department, I explained to him, his employees didn't know the difference between turkey and beef. He said oh well, they're in training. I am in the seasoning section & I ask an amazon worker if she knew if where the garlic powder was. She replied that she was on a time-limit & as she was shopping for a pick-up. Anyhow, i asked her if she could get me some help, and she replied that she could not help me at the moment and to go ask another amazon employee for help. Sprouts, which is down the the street would have never brushed me off like that. I will never shop at amazon fresh because obviously, the workers don't help the customers. Basically she meant to let me know that she was too busy to help me (because she obvioysly didn't want to be bothered - god-forbid she does her job & help a customer find a product, right?). More dogs in this grocery store than at the dog park. I love dogs. I've had dogs all my life. I just don't think they belong in a grocery store. i was very impressed with this store. i prefer the traditional shopper method and encountered no issues. staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way. there seems to be a lot of management presence. i like the many different types of food and a lot of quick cook items. microwave or oven bake for complete meals. the deli is incredible. the prices are comparable to all the surrounding major grocery stores. the difference here is that you will almost always have a $20 off $40 purchase which is really a great savings. store is very clean and well organized. great place to shop. read more

Delivery is never at the time indicated. NEVER! For example they say we will drop off your groceries between 10am-noon. HOWEVER, come to find out they dropped off groceries at 11:30 PM the night before. Plus they put groceries in front of a busy condo so they can be stolen easily? Now what pissed me off was the employees , the cashiers . They were rude & seem like they didn't know what they were doing . I went to lane number 6 & I could see there were about 4 employees trying to help one customer . At this point I'm pissed because it shouldn't take 4 employees to help 1 customer & ignore me another customer who is trying to pay & check out . As they transfer me for the 3RD!!! Time !! To lane # 2 this other girl says "sorry only debit & credit only " & I only have cash , so now I'm furious I ended up saying "you know what I'm leaving the cart of groceries here ! & I'm not coming back again " & I left the store with no groceries. So advice to whoever helped me , make sure you take care of a paying customer as soon as possible & not ignore them . Don't leave them waiting & then shoo them off to 3 other lanes & the lanes were all empty so there isn't a reason why I should've waited so long to be helped . I was the only one . Well actually I wasn't helped , but you know what I mean . & I don't understand why lane #2 was only accepting debit/credit only .. all your lanes should accept every form of payment & all the ladies at lane #6 , it shouldn't take 4 of you girls like 30mins trying to help a customer . Horrible experience tried the Amazon cart for the 2nd time it was pretty convenient until the end. I went to check out it said there was an error with my payment the guy there took me out of there to the register had to rescan everything in the cart I paid with the same form of Amazon barcode and we kept asking did it go through he did not answer once he put the receipt in the bag i realized we were good to go he put the bags in a cart that I can take to my car.. I realized there was a couple items missing went back to the store was standing like a dumba** had to Interrupt him and ask if we left a bag since I was missing a couple items all he said was I put it in the bag. Terrible staffing. I asked the price of an advertised an item selling at discount (but no price was listed). Asked, cashier (at empty line) the price but after minutes of searching she turned from me and helped another customer. After finally getting the price I asked stock clerk for location and he pointed me in direction but I couldn't find it. I left frustrated. The place was a ghost town and prices seemed high.
