-1 star because I waited forever and a day for my car to be finished! Other than that, service was amazing and the gentlemen here were really accommodating towards my budget. The potholes a few months back were just wild. Messing up everybody's tires, you know? I had to come in here because I copped a flat one day. I had work that day as well. I come in early in the morning on a super rainy day and of course there were already people inside so I was already knowing that I was going to be here for a while. I thought maybe I ran over something or whatever and that's why my tire was flat. Yeah, wrong. Those stupid potholes bent my wheel, smh! I will take partial accountability just because I do drive a wee-bit fast so that's probably why the damage was as bad as it was. I didn't have much money to my name and I had to have family members send me money through an app! Ugh, embarrassing... I can't remember everyone's names, but they were able to work in my range and I thought that was just extremely kind of them. I can't thank this place enough for helping me out. The people here are extremely professional, friendly, polite, and just good people in general. If there are any issues, they ALWAYS do their best to resolve. The Dublin store in particular is the best!! Great management and employees. Always had great customer experience each and every time. Recently had special order tire issues for my Jeep Wrangler, but this team was all over it to resolve as soon as possible and called me right away as soon as they arrived. Got a flat tire in a new AWD vehicle of mine. Turns out based on the manufacturer recommendation needed to replace all four tires. America"s Tire to the rescue. I was away from home and they steped in replaced the tires and did it within 2 hours. Great service, decent waiting room, and friendly service. My only complaint was that they did not properly inflate my tires and I was already back on the freeway when I noticed that one of my tires was very low...so back to the store and another 30 minutes of my time so only 4-stars for now. If you are looking for a place to find the best value, best prices for tires, this is definitely your place to go to. This is simply because they do so much volume and thus, other body shops and mechanics aren't able to beat their prices, almost ever. Now lets talk about the customer service. It simply, consistently is horrible. Whether its your first time in the store or 10th, it feels awful to go in the store and see all the staff continuously taking calls, simply ignoring the customers standing in the store. Its so annoying to see them put the person they are talking to, on hold, time after time again, to take all these calls where every employee takes their own sweet time to have elaborate conversations. Now I am not against them providing great customer service over the phone, but there needs to be separate people attending the calls vs customers in the store. I Drive a 1 Series BMW which is known for eating tires. Small trade off for the fun of the car. American Tire in Fremont has been my go to place for years - until today. They are trying to tell me that my front tires are 6 years old and are not covered by the warranty. That is physically impossible as these tires still have tread on them. I had to go to the Hamilton store to get the tire (not in stock in Fremont) and they have been no help. I am having work done on the car tomorrow and now I am stuck paying an extra $100 because they either 1) put really old tires on my car, 2) didn't rotate them as they told me they had done. PLEASE be warned - ask lots of questions, make sure they put on the tire they told you they did and get the manufacture date of the tire - so you don't end up screwed like I did. These people are idiots. I used to live in the area and had my tires done by them regularly. I had to change my tires very often, as in every 6-7K miles!!! One time, my tires blew out at 500 miles! Needless to say, me being a customer made them very happy. I used to complain about why I had to buy new tires so often. They would even lecture me about owning an expensive sports car (AMG Mercedes), and how it just comes with the territory. Well, that is not the case. These tires were expensive. Granted I had really big, low profile tires (305/25/20), but these people repeatedly sent me home with my tires filled up to 32-35 PSI. 32 for more traction, they said ;) They insisted this was the industry standard, and that it was normal for me to replace my tires this often. Come to find out, they've been wrong. The correct PSI for low profile tires is 45-50. This was probably their tactic to have me ruin my tires and come in a lot. It just sucks that they would risk my safety just to earn a buck. read more

I came here to get my tires rotated after coming to this place and they tell me that my tires "need to be replaced immediately because they are extremely thin." I asked them, how much longer can I have these tires before they need to be replaced?" and they said "oh, we can change them today." I'm not an idiot and knew that they did not HAVE to be replaced that day. After going to the Santa Clara location and talking to David, the manager, he said that my tires could go for another 10k miles. I cannot stress enough how bad my experience has been with America's Tire in Dublin. Quickest possible summary: 1st visit: Purchased winter tires for my new car and had them swapped on. Instead of putting winter tires on, they ordered (and swapped) the EXACT SAME TIRES I already owned (that had 1500 miles on them). Resulted in multiple visits and lost time to finally get the correct winter tires that I'd asked for over the phone swapped on. Scratched rims when mounting. Cool. 2nd visit: Not bad. Swapped winter tires to summer tires. Cost = $60. 3rd visit: Waited in line 10 minutes with an appointment to drop my car off. They told me my total was $150. 2.5x as much as last time? I don't think so. The "best he could do" was $90, even after looking at the invoice for the same thing from visit #2 that said $60. They called me and said my "BMW M3" was ready (which is not my car), got to the shop, waited another 10 minutes in line. Manager says, "So they told you we only swapped 3 tires on," matter of factly. "Excuse me?" "Oh yes, there was damage to one of the tires...we left you a voicemail." No, they did not leave me a voicemail, and they did not mention any problem when they called me to say my "M3" was ready. Frankly, I didn't even trust them that the tire was damaged, so I asked to take a look at it (It's been stored in my garage for the summer.) At this point, options were to spend $175 to buy their stupid warranty on FIVE tires (one for the damaged tire, 4 for the new/remaining tires) or spend $225 for the single replacement tire. I opted for the former with little intention of ever going back again. Then today. OH TODAY. I had yet another appointment to get that 4th tire swapped out. Bring it in, usual routine...5-10 minute wait. Get a call saying it's ready. Go back, wait, pick up the keys. The correct tire is now on the remaining wheel, so I drive home. Start to unload the summer tires into my garage when I notice THERE ARE ONLY THREE. Drive BACK to the shop, wait another 10-15 minutes until someone finally asks "Do you have a question?". Yes, I have a question...where's my 4th tire that you swapped off and took? Guy goes into the shop to locate the tire and comes back with it 5 minutes later. All in all, they've wasted multiple hours of my time, scratched my rims, had poor communication, and been utterly incompetent with everything they've done. read more

I had a flat tire, my AAA guy told me to go here, as the repair was FREE and also this had a 4 star yelp review. (Nothing is FREE I know that!!) So I went there, and left the tire. I get a call and was told that the tire was bad and needs to be replaced as it has damaged the sidewall. How is that possible?? The nail was right in the center of the tire and all it required was a patch, but instead the sales person wanted to sell me new tires. When I went to pick up my tire, the sales person told me - where else will you go to fix the tire? He was that desperate!! Not Honest...Not coming back!! Came here because I had a small nail in one of my tires, but drove over 400 miles before finally getting it checked out. Saw when the tech pulled out the nail - straight out, and less than an inch long. Had a very small air leak, so told them to patch it up, made an appointment and came back several hours later. No loss of air during that time. After dropping it off, was told the tire was too severely damaged to be replaced. I disagreed and decided to take it elsewhere. They refused to put the tire back on! Told me it was unsafe, and instead I needed to buy 4 NEW tires since I had a 4wheel drive SUV! Are you kidding me! While waiting to decide what to do, heard another tech tell someone else the SAME story! Come on guys, this is a scam to sell tires. I had a very small leak that needed a patch. Any other place would have simply fixed it and I'd be a happy customer and on my way. Instead, they're telling people they can't fix tires and that instead of replacing one, they need to replace all four. Too bad. In the past this has been a good place for service. Apparently not any more. I will not return. Update on 5/15: - Got another nail in a different tire (gotta watch where I drive!) and decided to give these guys another chance since they've been good to me in the past. This time things worked like they're supposed to. I was treated courteously and they quickly resolved the issue. I made an appointment because 2 of my tires had slow leaks. I waited a little over an hour and may car remained in the parking lot the entire time. OK. I get it. They were busy. Here's what happened afterwards: About 2 hours after I arrived for my appointment the guy tells me there is a cut in the sidewalls and it can't be repaired. So I agreed to buy a new tire.($190.00 total) I got in the car and noticed the tires had different pressures. (34, 24, 45, 28 psi) I went back and the guy was very apologetic and corrected the pressure (Why I gave the extra star) Here's the punchline. They replaced the tire that wasn't leaking and did nothing at all to the 2 with issues leaking air. I had to fill them both the next day. Buyer beware of unnecessary up sales. read more

I have had low pressure on one tire for a while. Finally, look at that tire and found a nail stuck in it. Brought it to America's Tire Co for a repair. I was pleasantly surprised to be told that they would fix it for free, even if I didn't purchase the tire from them originally. The tech (Luis) inspected my tire, and said it could be fixed "at $0 cost, and would be ready in an hour". "Hooray, what a place!", I said to myself "it seems too good to be truth". While having my lunch across the street, to wait for my car, I got a call from the sales guy to say that "found two nails, and a cut to the side" What's it wasn't there before? Say they couldn't put the tire back as it's against company's policy. Wanted me to buy 2 or 4 new tires. Now I was held hostage, so I reluctantly had to buy one from them $125 + all the added crap.... Total $181 and change. This place is a scam. They lure you in to leave your car with them, then scam you into buy tires from them. I will not come back, ever! read more

Made an appointment for a slow leak a@and was told it would be done in 1 hour. The staff was trying to tell me I needed new tires but they had only put on all new tires for me less then a years ago. When I mentioned this, he backed off. I witnessed him giving the same speech to other customers. Went back in an hour and my car was still sitting in the parking lot and nothing had been done to it. I had a bubble in my tire. Don't know how it got there or how long it had been there but there it was, front right tire. Since hubby had purchased the tires at America's Tire Co. sometime last year he told me to go there for a replacement. When I arrived the waiting area was about 2/3 full and both clerks were helping other customers at the computers. They did however acknowledge me and told me they'd help me soon. When one employee came around to help I told them about the bubble. He astutely said," A bubble in your tire? That's not good." Suspicions confirmed. We walked out to my car and explained the nylon in the wall of the tire broke. "Hit any pot holes lately?" he asked. Could have, we just came from the driving down to OC on Hwy 5, otherwise known as Land o' Potholes. He checked the tread on the rest of the tires, checked our account and gave me two options. First, replace the tire straight out for about $80. Or second, he could go back into the system and change our account to have the replacement service for only $110 which included a new tire. No brainer! I purchased the certificate, had the tire replaced and all four rotated in about an hour. Hardly took up any of my day off work. Highly recommended for prompt, friendly and cooperative service. I felt very well taken care of. I kind of have the urge to run over a couple nails to take advantage of the free replacement, though. read more

Made an appointment to install 4 new tires I purchased from their website (discounttiredirect.com) and got out of there in a little over an hour. Could have been quicker but one of my TPMS seized up and they had to cut it out and they didn't charge me extra. Great service and one happy customer. Turn out one of my tire was ripped during the install and resulted in a leak. Brought the car back the next day and they replaced that one tire free of charge. Only took 15 min and I was on my way. I have purchased a few sets of tires over the years from America's Tire and have always been satisfied with the price and service but never felt compelled to write a review until today. I noticed my tire was almost flat and since America's Tire was closed on Sunday's, I took my car into the "Certified" Goodyear store in Dublin. They told me I had 2 nails in my tire which were unrepairable and then tried to sell me 2 new tires on the spot. I decided to wait for a second opinion from America's Tires and I'm glad I did. I only waited about 15 minutes until an America' Tires tech took my car back to check it out. Yes, I did have something in my tire, but it was totally repairable! They also said I had more tred on my tires then what Goodyear said and didn't need to replace them yet. Best of all, the service was totally free since I purchased my tires there! Yay! I am so glad to have found a tire company who is honest and provides excellent customer service. Thank you! read more

I used to order all my tires online since they were usually $20-$30 cheaper, for a set of four tires that equal $80-$120 in savings which is a pretty big saving, but since i discovered americas tires price matching policy, this is my go to place for tires. I only gave three star though because: cons: 1) When i told the sales associate i could order the tires cheaper online, he looked it up through the website, and wanted to add on the $20/tire for next day shipping. This was never as issue the last few times i got tires. 2) Its best to call in a week in advance to make an appointment, and if your lucky you will be in and out within an hour. I was told it would take 1 hour to change four tires because there was a line. i ended up waiting 2.5 hrs. Im not sure why changing four tires take that long considering they had something like 4 technicians, but ive gotten 4 tires changed in 30 minutes before, and there was not that long of a line. i counted 5 cars before mine was finish. pro: 1) I actually saw the technicians use a torque wrench on the lug nuts, i dont know if they use the correct torque settings but it beats using an impact wrench i guess. 2) sometimes they have coupon for $100 off a set of 4 tires which makes it a really good deal. read more

For those who thinks america tires give refund, you,d be mistaken. They do not give refund, they will swap out for another tire. So think carefully before you purchase from them. Otherwise their service is good. I purchased a set of carry out tires for my Tahoe and after ride on them for a few day I've found them to be too soft. I've ask for a return and they will not return them, they will only to a swap. Reading through their return policy online they seem very up and up, but not quite so. I've purchased tires from them before. I will not go back to them and I would make sure all of my friends and family know this. read more

It's been one of those months when the car needs some lovin' - first some new brakes and now new tires. HA! Perhaps I should lay off the racing down all of the major highways in CA. I came across America's Tires after a previous experience with them in the South Bay and after frantically looking on my iPhone for a cheap tire place since the dealer was about to charge me an arm & one leg for new tires. I had worn a couple tires down and another tire had a bubble, so I guess it was time. I called yesterday afternoon and spoke to a really nice guy named Jason. He knew exactly what I needed when I mentioned my car model and type of tires I needed. Recalling info from my service guy at the dealership, I mentioned that the rear wheels were slightly larger than the front, but Jason already knew that. He said that he had all 4 in stock and when I asked for a bit of a cash break, he managed to take some money off of each tire. I managed to get all 4 tires changed for what I'm going to call an investment. I gave Jason my info and told him I'd be arriving in the morning. I arrived at America's Tire in Dublin promptly at 8am and the nice guy that I talked to on the phone was there to help me. He got my paperwork processed, credit card swiped and keys to my car. It took them under an hour to change all 4 tires including instaling the sensors (which I got for free). I decided to go with the free replacement or repair plan since I'm always somehow damaging the tires. I guess it's the racer in me ;). They did such a great job - explained to me that I'd hear a weird noise for the first 50 miles and the indicator light on my dash would soon turn off! I'm really happy with the service and I didn't mind that everyone who helped me was nice looking as well. Car repairs aren't fun for me, but eye candy certainly is. I definitely recommend America's Tires - especially the Dublin location. You'll get good service and quality work done on your tires. I'm recommending them to friends :) Cheers! read more

Recently, I took my car into America's TIre in Dublin as I had slow leaking tire. Before even leaving my car at the shop, I asked the sales guy if he can confirm tire is repairable. Well he didn't do it but instead started looking to see if he had new one in stock and if he can sell it to me. I told him it's slow leak and no apparent damage to the side walls so I think it's fixable. I knew this as earlier in the day I had taken thorough look at the tire along with my roadside assistance. No big holes or damage to side walls. After leaving car aat the shop for few hours, i received call from the sales guy saying there was big hole on side of the wall and I will need to buy new tire. The size of the hole is so big there is no way tire would leak slowly. Besides, 2 people would not miss noticing it. I spoke with the manager about my thoughts but he was rude and started arguing. I asked him if he can show me some data on what % of tires they actually fix vs not. Be careful if you go this place .. make sure you take good pics of tires before you leave ...
