Extremely long line even if you have an appointment. I have been treated rudely each time. Why did I go back there?

After trying out their free tire rotation service, I will never go back. You get what you pay for.

Mixed feelings. Clean shop, good prices and friendly people are the plus items. Lack of technical skill, tho seems to be a consistent problem. One time, they broke a wheel cover as they made a mistake, thinking the fake wheel cover lugs were real and twisted one off. They fixed it, but still, it happened. Yesterday I got four tires replaced. I noticed the psi was way off per the onboard display and went back in and told them. They assured me I just needed to drive around on them, and it would relearn. Didn't think much off it but noticed the ride was harsh. Drove about 30 miles, still showing way off psi. So...I manually checked and they car system was actually very correct and they had put 51 psi in a 36 psi tire on one corner and between 38-41 in the others. Not a huge deal but I do have an expectation that they should have decent gauges and that psi would be high on the list of things to check. Obviously telling me it will "relearn" is not appreciated as well when if they had just checked themselves yesterday it would have been caught. Good shop just lazy standards at times. I will be back in the future but DO sweat the small stuff with them. They are so busy that they make mistakes. read more

I've heard of America's Tire through the Tesla forums and heard they offer free rotations (which is what my car needed). I scheduled an appointment with them and ended up doing a rotation and balance. The balance wasn't free FYI. The entire process took about 15 minutes which was quick. I overheard one of the employees say the walk in wait would be 1.5 hours so I recommend the appointment! read more

Who said California was more expensive than Texas?! My sister just got tires for $250 each and somehow I found some great reviewed tires (4.6/5) for $106/tire here. Costco quoted me $250/tire. Really feeling like I hit a lick and I kinda live for that. Someone who's name starts with an "A" put them on hold for me (word!!). They told me 2.5 wait time and my car was ready in 1. Great service. No games played. They had the exact tire model i was looking for. Their other location said they don't have the tires for couple days but their campbell location said this place had them in stock. Service people do not thoroughly check car before working on it. They rely on a phone-like device to measure tires, not listening to what the customer is saying what the problem actually is. In the process they mis-diagnosed the car, wasting time. When you question them they say you can go somewhere else. read more

Today was the second time they fixed a different tire that had a different nail in it. And every time they hand me a receipt and it says $0.00. They are willing to repair anyone's tire if it has a chance of making it back into one piece. Bought 4 new tires at America's Tire in Mountain View, CA . Driving home noticed vibration. Took the car back to have the tires rebalanced. Driving home noticed same vibration. Took the car to my mechanic whom I've used for 15 years--he test-drove the car, inspected it, and said one of the rear tires is not balanced (red flag: the left rear tire had no balancing weights). Took the car to a different America's Tire (Stevens Creek Boulevard) for rebalancing. Problem solved. Now all 4 tires have balancing weights. Will never go back to America's Tire in Mountain View. read more

The moment I walked in to this store my salesperson Thorin B was amazing from start to finish. We started by assessing the wheel and seeing what could be wrong. He then took me back inside to locate my tire. There wasn't any in stock so he had to source one from the San Jose warehouse. I totally understand because my tire isn't a normal tire and not common one to have. The day it was ready he called right away so I could come pick it up. I hate being a typical girl at some stuff.. but yeah cars is def one of those things where I don't know much about at all. I'm always paranoid about going to mechanics or whatever and being ripped off because they know I know nothing and realize that I HAVE to get whatever they tell me.. so what I do to make sure they realize that I am not to be messed with.. I question everything. haha. So I went into this America's Tire on El Camino across from the beautiful smelling food of Inn N Out. My mom has used them before in LA and so she told me to go there. They have FREE tire inspection but I mean most likely you're going in because your tires are suspect and you need to get something done anyway. Its just nice that its "free." I was helped by Miguel. It actually got really busy at about 5pm because they close at 6pm. I'm glad I called earlier that morning to make an appointment. So my tires ALL needed changing and we know how expensive that could be. Of course as a good salesman Miguel recommended me top of the line Michelin tires that were totaling close to 800 bucks and I was like yikes. These were 3 star tires. i was like. okay what are some other 3 star tires, and what are the warranty difference etc. Also what are some promotions you currently have. With all this questioning I ended up getting the same brand tires I had before which worked fine to great- Pirelli's which were still considered 2/3 stars and it was under 500 bucks. So with that questioning I saved almost 300 bucks. Thats what happens when you ask questions! So I had a 50k mile warranty. As was said I was in and out of there within 45 minutes. There was a neat waiting area with public bathrooms to use. Also a bunch of different updated magazines to look at. Don't think about stealing them either! They are bound like the library one. I saw one lady eyeing one magazine TOO hard for my comfort. Not sure what the price comparisons are but they were fast, efficient, and I'm getting a 40.00 online rebate in a couple weeks. I've been a customer here for almost 30 years. I get the air checked in my tires fairly regularly and today happened to be one of those days. Unbeknownst to me, the left rear tire had a cut on the side. Fortunately the employee pointed that out to me since I wasn't comfortable driving anywhere. They had a tire best suited to replace since it had been over 5 yrs since I replaced both rear tires. Anyway I had wait for the tires to be replaced and they did warn me that there was a cue. About 2 hours. I sat around and then took a walk to the mall across the street. While it was a wait, I didn't expect it to be done sooner. I waited for it to be my turn. I had a 2PM appointment and they said to take a seat and they will let me know when they could take care of my care and take my keys.At 2:45 I finally asked them what's going on and they said that they are busy and that I have to wait another hour for them to service my car .At this point I had enough so I just asked them for a refund. Waited an hour over the time they told me my car would be ready. Mind you, they told me to be back in 3 hours so that's a total of 4 hours to change 1 tire. Normally I wouldn't be so upset about it, but when I came to check on my car at the 3 hour mark, they had my car still parked in the parking lot where I dropped it off! I never got a call back from Price of Americas. But I had my refund issues sorted out by PayPal. I had to go back as TPMS indicator lit up on the new tires after driving for a few days and had tires rotated on my other car here. This location is very busy (which is a good thing) and the guys work very hard and probably need more hands on deck and not rush the job. Disappointing experience today, I had an appointment for a tire rotation at 11. When I arrived on time for my appointment, I was told it would take 2 hours. He asked if I would like to reschedule. When I asked if there is a chance there would be another delay, he said there is always a chance. Disappointing to not see appointments honored. On my way to work, my car alerted me that my left front tire's air was low. I had a feeling something bad happen; either it was a nail or slashed tire. I booked an appointment online and got a spot on the same day! During lunch time, I had to stop by to the nearest America's Tire in Mountain View. This location is a lot bigger than in Brokaw Road. There was many parking available. The gentleman checked the air on the tire and noticed it was definitely flat. So I left my car there and Uber back to work. In a few hours, I called them. The gentleman told me the tire had a nail. They were able to repair the tire without replacing a new one. As a loyal customer for a few years, the repair was free! read more

They give you an appointment time and you still wait almost an hour! Then they say free rotation, but then deny you because you don't want to buy new tires... First they told me I was one level on tread until I said I would talk to my husband then it changed to much better and only 1 tire was kimd of bad.... Not a good way to keep loyal customers.
