I brought my wife's car in to get two new rear tires. I arrived about an hour and a half before closing. They had a top quality tire at a good price in stock, which usually is not always found in stock at other places. They not only got the new tires installed on time, but noticed one of the front tires was installed backwards as they are a directional tire that has to be installed in a certain direction, and corrected it at no charge. so I went over to American tire cause I had a nail in my tire. It was in the center of the tire not on the edges so I was 100% confident they would just patch it up because they offer free patching of nails in your tire! long story short they tell me they couldn't do it without me purchasing a new tire. They stated that my tire was too low on the tread and it would be illegal for them to repair it, which was BS because I have a gauge myself that can determine that anyhow I went down the street to another tire place not mentioning what happened at this tire place they patched my tire up no problem and then I asked them, how does my tire look on the tread? I bought a new set of tires a few months ago from Americas Tire and reluctantly bought the tire warranty. Not because the warranty isn't a good idea... but because I hadn't had a tire issue in the last decade so I figured why start now. Well wouldn't you know it! My rear passenger side tire starts losing air faster than the titanic took on water! Now I'm no DiCaprio, so I'm not going down with the ship. I decided to flip the script, I took my wife's Jeep to work and told her she needed to go to Americas tire and get the tire fixed! Fully expecting the run around I was ready for the bad news when she calls me from the shop. Here it comes... be gentle... what's the damage? Do I need a whole new set? She tells me that they were already finished! I had a nail and they patched up for free and topped off all of the air in the rest of the tires. 15 minutes, the situation was resolved! Now I don't leave a lot of reviews, but when I do they really deserve it whether the are just the good are just that dang bad. The world needs to know! I appreciate how well the three gentleman took care of my wife today.... Wait that didn't sound right. I appreciate how professional the crew at Americas Tire were today. Amazing customer service and professionalism. I called before hand to see if they were taking walk-ins. They told me yes but the wait would be about 1 and a half hours. That was fine with me given my tires were really worn down. When I got there I interacted with 3 different workers during my time there. All of them were pleasant, kind, and had good manners despite them being completely booked up and busy. Given the amount of people they deal with I'm sure they deal with some difficult people, but it didn't show. Small gestures and good customer service goes a long way. As stated in my previous review I brought my car here to have two front tires put on they destroyed three of my wheels. In the end their insurance company did not even talk to the people who fixed my wheels. I had photos I took of the wheels in perfect condition before they worked on them, and photos after with the damage they did. Their insurance company said all we have photos of the wheels damaged before they did the work. This was an out right lie and they failed to produce those photos which they claim they have. I spent over $16,000 with this company. It would've cost them $525 to have my wheels fixed and they failed to do so. The manager of this particular location is a scumbag and a liar, if they do damage your car they will not make it right they are not careful go somewhere else. read more

I took my car in today due to the low pressure light. I paid $40 for the tire rotation & balance. It was done in less than 15 minutes. I'm thinking that I got ripped off and they only put air into the tires. Most of the tire places that I called told me it would take at least 30 minutes. Beware of this place! I've been here for flat tire repair, tire pressure check, and today, installation of the new set of tires I bought from their website during labor day sale. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It was amazing. I've also been here a few times due to some nail kept puncturing my tire (TPMS light came on). For those times, I was out in a bit under an hour. The main downside from my experience is when I came here for the free air check 1) Air check is in the last bay area. There's no formal line, like what they do at another location, so you either loiter right outside (and potentially block other cars trying to get by while you wait for a long time because there's no one dedicated for air check) or loiter in a parking space (and risk getting beat by another car in driving into the air check bay area). 2) They make each person wait a long time before helping them. I was left standing around for a long time and same goes for the people before me. Overall, I would come back again for any flats or new tires, but maybe not for tire pressure check. read more

Assistant manager Brandi says they don't do tire rotations for free anymore. Customer have to pay $60 for rotation and balancing. She said that was a nationwide decision. I called Costa Mesa location and they said that is false. Tire rotations are free. Balance is $60 but they don't force you to do balancing. So why did Brandi give me wrong information? read more

I searched online and called several places in search of Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4. I had no luck and some places even suggested to use a 215 just to make a sell....when what I want is a 205. I contacted this place and was lucky to have Poncho on the receiving end. He was helpful and informative. He was able to go out of his way and contacted different places to have all 4 tires I requested delivered to his location. He honored the sale prices from another location too. From start, I am already pleased with the communication over the phone. Once my tires arrived, I was pleased to show up at a shop that is clean and bright. The staff who greeted me ( unfortunately, I forgot his name) was helpful and friendly. He made sure everything was charged correctly and what I requested is accurate. He informed me the time frame it will take to install the tires and so on. The technician who installed my tires ( forgot to ask his name) did an awesome job and he was very professional. Amazing! Yuri came out and was super happy to see me. We had an appointment and my name was written on the board. We have a tesla model y and I asked him if I needed new tires even though I bought them online already. He didn't seem to mind if I ended up returning it and was honest with my values and showed me. We ended up getting my tires replaced after 32k miles. He was shocked and said most teslas only last 20k and was surprised mine lasted that long. I'm still shocked and amazed at this place. All my tesla buddies use americas or discount tires and I never knew why. I've been a Costco tires guy all my life and was so used to making an appointment but waiting 4-5 hours. When he told me it would be done in 40 min I was shocked. I was even more shocked when it was done in 30 min. If you value your time this is the place Interior was large and clean with plenty of seats. Starbucks walking distance but it's a drive through with no inside seats. When it was all done chris told me to fill out a warranty form and asked me if I had any questions. And it was done. Fastest most enjoyable experience with tire purchases ever. I had to get 2 new rims on my Audi, and I had an appointment at 515. Well, when I left work, it started to rain, so it backed up the freeway. So when I got there I was told you're too late you can make another appointment. I really only had time to do it today. Brenda told me well I'm sorry we can't help you." So I was upset but went outside. I was actually about to leave a yelp, but Brenda comes back outside and says I talked to the manager, and I will work on your car myself." TLDR: Great service but check your bill for "Certificate for Repair, Refund, or Replacement" tire fees. They are supposed to explain this to you and ask for your permission, not just charge you flatout for something you didn't ask for. Full Review: Had to replace all 4 tires and brought my car here. Uri assisted me through the process. AT offer a wide selection of tires but only certain ones are in stock (not sure if website is always up to date with store inventory so best to call first). Overall it was a smooth experience and it only took 1-2 hours to replace all 4 tires. The only negative was after I reviewed my bill later at home. I was charged for the "Certificates for Refund, Replacement" when I was not told about it nor did anyone get my permission to add it on the bill (my fault for not going through each line but still shady). At $13 per tire ($52 total), this wasn't some small $3-4 additional fee. On their website: "At the time you are buying your new tires, we will ask if you want to purchase the Certificate for Repair, Refund or Replacement for your tires." This place deserves a NEGATIVE star! We called to ask for pricing to replace our tire pressure monitoring system. They quoted us $18 per tire ($72 total). We made an appointment and brought our car in the next day. When we were there, they raised the price to $135 total. And that's after we corrected them for almost charging us an even higher price for 19" wheels while our car only has 18". (Good thing we knew how to read their pricing code.). A slight difference is understandable but that's almost DOUBLE the original quote! Was it a BAIT AND SWITCH tactic??? The employee who worked with us seemed unhappy, but he managed to practice his upsell training by asking us if we wanted to replace our wiper blades because they looked very dry. Get out of here!!! Were you even helpful??? When we spoke to one of the managers and asked why there's such a big discrepancy in the pricing, he gave us an easy answer. "It's hard to give pricing over the phone." We then pointed out there were some coaching opportunities for the employees who gave pricing over the phone. It's misleading and we just wasted 1.5 hours from our work without results. The problem I found myself dealing with started about two weeks ago when the tire pressure monitor in my vehicle came on indicating there was low pressure in at least one of the tires. I made an appointment and took my vehicle to my local tire shop, America's Tire Store in Orange, California, to have my tire pressure adjusted and my tires checked. It was during this visit that the person helping me noted that the tread my rear tires was low measuring at 4 mm and that I would need to replace the tires sometime soon. The tires were otherwise functioning properly and holding pressure well. I inquired why my tread had diminished such an extent since I haven't owned the tires for that long. A quick account check revealed that I've only been driving on these tires for 34,000 miles and they had a rated guarantee to 50,000 miles. We briefly discussed if there was any kind of rebate or prorated cost adjustment for new tires given that the current tires have not lived up to the full duration of their lifespan and use, but no decision was reached. My immediate problem began two days ago when the tire pressure monitor light came on again this time while driving, indicating very low pressure in one tire. I pulled off the street into a parking lot and changed the tire only to find there was a metal sheet screw deeply embedded in the mid-tread portion of the right rear tire. I made an appointment to take the vehicle in the next day to have the tire repaired, but I was informed that because the tread is so low, and the tire not repairable, that not only will it have to be replaced but I would have to buy two rear tires so that the tread would be more even. Again I inquired about the cost of the replacement tires and based on the guarantee that came with my current tires if I will be getting a prorated cost adjustment or rebate when purchasing the new tires; after all, these tires lived up only to 70% of their full potential. The assistant helping me, his name was Luis, told me that the warranty no longer qualified. Because my vehicle had staggered wheels, which means the back wheels and the front wheels are of different sizes, and this serves to enhance the performance features of my vehicle, and therefore the tires cannot be rotated front to back but only side to side. He further stated that because of this, the 50,000 mile guarantee is now only 25,000 miles, and since I had exceeded this, the warranty is no longer applicable. This was the first I ever heard of this. It certainly was never brought to my attention when I made the purchase or when I was told of the guarantee that came with the tires. Had I been made aware of this, I might have chosen a different brand of tire altogether. Finding this hard to believe and feeling that the assistant I was working with was being less than honest and forthcoming, I elected to go to another tire store and get a second opinion. So I went to another store, Big O Tires, also in Orange, California. The young assistant helping me there was named Jay, and he was very forthcoming. The first thing he did was point out that indeed the tread on my tire was very thin in the center where the nail had punctured and embedded itself. He also pointed out that while the center tread was thinner the tread on the edges of the tire was much more intact and this indicated that I had been driving on overinflated tires probably for several months now. The first thing that I began to wonder about is how come at America's Tire, they never pointed this fact out. Because of the location of the embedded metal screw and how thin the rubber material is in the center of the tire, it was felt this tire should not be repaired as there may not be enough rubber substance to ensure that repair will hold. There is a risk that if an attempt is made to repair it and it does not take hold, there could be the failure of the tire on the road or a possible blowout. So a change of the tire and purchasing an entirely new rear set was a better decision. I then asked Jay about the tire warranty. If the tire is guaranteed to run 50,000 miles but shows excessive wear and tear at lower mileage, would I not be entitled to compensation? Was it valid to claim that because tires cannot be rotated front to back the mileage warranty is reduced? Did the assistant at America's Tire Store confabulate an answer or try to avoid doing his duty? Jay reassured me that he had never heard of these terms before. He stated that if a tire is guaranteed to have 50,000 miles of road wear, then it should provide useful life close to that many miles. I have been a customer at America's Tire Store for over 15 years and I will not be returning there for future business. I will also be filing a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs. read more

I had a good experience coming in to get a new set of tires. I knew what I wanted and to my surprise they had a deal that weekend so I did luck out so I was even happier because I saved the extra haha. But they got me in and it was moving nicely. With COVID everyone is kinda just spread out not lining up which is wild when you people watch for a bit waiting. They gave me a time that I was cool with just waiting. The price for an Uber for 30 bucks for 2 miles..... and it would go up so I was like ehhh I can wait. The associates were efficient and got everyone in and got everyone out. Damn if only other places moved in this manner. The outside are all moving their ass and getting you on your way. I don't even remember if it was after or on time so it was an over all good experience and feel a lot safer in the road having these tires. read more

Sometimes it's best to go to one of those smaller unknown shops and they won't try to take you for all they can get. Small shops don't have the overhead and don't charge you for waste tire disposal. I called and got the most spirited and helpful guy on the phone. His name is Sampson. Sampson answered all my questions, there were many! He did so as if I was the most important customer in the world. I had concerns about wear on the tires and he was really easy going about them standing by the warranty of the manufacturer. I brought my car to him and he was diligent in examining my old tires and getting me a refund for them because they wore too fast. Sampson was a no pressure type of guy who seemed focused on making sure I got what I wanted. We discussed some pros and cons of different tires and he let me decide. I don't do well when I feel like I'm being directed to buy something someone wants me to buy. I want to buy what I want to buy. He then got my tires installed in pretty much the exact time frame he quoted which was surprising because it was really busy. I was thrilled with the service. The next morning I heard a tire noise and I brought it back to him and he gave me a few options and I selected to replace that tire and he got the new tire about 5 hours later and installed it and rebalanced all the tires within a very short period of time while I waited. Sampson and the Americas tire crew who worked on my car were exceptional. I won't even consider getting my tires anywhere else next time as long as Sampson is there. It's super rare to find a human who takes customer relations as serious as he does and props to the company for allowing him to spend time and effort and resources to do great work and make me feel so happy about a new tire purchase. read more
