I arrived here based on a recommendation of a coworker. When I came in, the staff all just kind of stared at me. I was seated at a booth by myself. I ordered a mango margarita. It was not super tasty, but it was strong. I ordered the chicken taco plate and an additional Al pastor taco. The menu said it came with "cilantro and onion or cheese and lettuce." I wanted cilantro and onion, but my server didn't ask me which one. She just took the menu and walked away. They dropped off my tacos with cheese and lettuce. I sat there for about 10 minutes with the food untouched before anyone checked on me. I was clearly looking around for help. Eventually someone came over, and I sent it back and asked for the onion and cilantro. Server seemed annoyed. She brought me the tacos back. I ordered another margarita. The tacos were the most bland and unseasoned tacos I have ever tasted. I could only take two bites. Someone brought over my margarita- the wrong flavor. I sent it back for the right one. I finished my margarita and sat there for an additional 30 minutes with plates full of food. Someone finally checked on me again. They asked if I wanted a box. I said absolutely not. Chips and salsa are complimentary (although it would be nice if when they drop off the chips sans salsa, they'd tell you there is a self serve salsa bar) Salsa bar: There were 2 types of red salsas, one more "tomato-ey" and less spicy and the other more spicy. The green salsa was flavored well with cilantro and lime and spicy! The bar itself was clean and well stocked. Salsas were nice and cold. My husband enjoyed his large chimichanga. It was crispy but not "break your teeth crunchy". Perfect texture served with rice and beans (black or refried). I got the enchilada plate, serve also, with rice and beans. I chose refried. I opted for one red and one green enchilada. J wish they would've told me (or stated in the menu) how spicy the green sauce was! I haven't been to their physical location yet, I've only had their food through bite squad. But seriously though, the food is some of the best Mexican I've had on Maui so far. I usually get the Chicken Taquitos (4 with some lettuce on the side) and they do a good job of filling me up. I also order a Carne Asada nachos which is also delicious, I can never finish it by myself. My husband loves the California burrito which also fills him up, and it's usually pretty hard to fill him up on just 1 burrito. They always give a generous amount of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. To me it's a big deal cause it always seems like there's never enough!! Overall I like the food a lot. Service and quality of food (consistency) seems to have gone down over the years. They used to have a very friendly atmosphere but now does not. (there seems to be a high turnover in some of the staff which may contribute to this). Also Recent policy changes (Such as charging exorbitant fees for substitutions) makes it very difficult for someone with allergies to eat here and also adds to the cold business feeling. If you don't do any substitutions the food portion for the prices are good, however the quality of the food is not consistent. Sometimes (more often than not) it's good and other times it's not so good. Be sure to look over the bill before paying because that does seem to be something that needs to be chronically corrected. Also, if you have sensory sensitive children, definitely bring some headphones because it gets extremely noisy and the wait for the food can be lengthy. They rushed us to order the second we sat down saying the kitchen could take 40 mins. The huevos rancheros was unrecognizable and we felt it was inedible. Pros: -Prompt seating -Impressive selection of dishes -nice selection of margaritas -Tasty complimentary chips and salsa Cons: -Forgetful staff -Small "kids cups" of water/seldom refills -Food descriptions (al pastor) do not match the actual product -No condiments on tables (salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc.) I heard good things about this restaurant, and because my mom and I love Mexican food, we decided to try it out. As we first arrived, we were greeted and taken to a booth that had been cleaned and watched as they thoroughly wiped it (which was a great first impression). After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we both decided on the al pastor burrito and I ordered a top shelf margarita. After about 30-40 minutes of waiting and watching the bartender cash people out, make other drinks for other customers (both at the bar and at the other tables), we received a single refill of our water and our burritos. I've had "al pastor" several times on both Maui and Oahu, and it normally would consist of slow cooked shredded pork in a mild to spicy citrus (pineapple) sauce (spicy-sweet). Much to our surprise, the pork in our burritos was charred, dry, hard, cubed, and lacked any seasoning. We were very disappointed, considering that we were parched after not receiving neither my margarita, nor adequate refills. Before leaving, we received one more refill of water and the bill (after we had asked another waitress for the bill and to make sure that we weren't charged for the missing margarita). I am a waitress and understand not being able to check on customers during "rushes." But forgetting about a drink order, not checking on a table after delivering food (within 15 minutes upon delivery), not refilling water promptly, and not acknowledging any mistakes (e.g., forgetting about drink order, food being over cooked, food taking 30+ minutes) is simply unforgivable. I don't think that we will come back in the near future and am sure that we will share our experience to others. read more

It's a seat yourself restaurant then you get serve complimentary basket of their house chips and they have a salsa bar you can choose your poison. I had the Carne Asada burrito and wow.everything inside was evenly spread. Not so filled with beans, right anount of Carne asada perfect amount of all the other goodness. They don't fill their burritos up with all lettuce like some places. My fiance had the wet pork tamales. That was amazing. Wet meaning she had it with the enchilada sauce on the tamales. And I was shocked that are 10am ish, they already busy. The servers were all very friendly and even though it was busy they still was friendly with a smile on their face.
