Beautiful restaurant with delicious foods! I came here with my girlfriends. I heard the wait time is usually pretty long, so we made reservations. Service was excellent, attentive, and efficient. All foods were good and flavorful, but the standout for me is actually their dessert. Definitely get the Osmalieh ice cream!!! 10/10, I never knew I liked dates until I had this dessert. Haven't had anything else like it either. I would come back just to get the dessert again. Yummy!

We arrived at Ammatoli around 6 pm on a Tuesday. Yelp listed them as closing at 7, but we were told last orders were at 7:30, and we never felt rushed during our meal. Our server Francis was very upbeat, kind, and helpful, especially since it was our first time visiting. He walked us through some of his favorite menu items and explained the different flavors, which made deciding what to order much easier. We got the 3 Way Mezza with Spicy Hummus, Roasted Beets Hummus, and Mutabbal, along with Housemade Pita, the Cheese Sticks, and Spicy Garlic Lemon Chicken. The fresh pita was one of my favorite parts. It was so light and fresh that you could tell it was made in-house. The Spicy Hummus and Roasted Beets Hummus were also standouts. The Cheese Sticks were crispy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the flavor of the chicken, although it was a little dry for me. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really nice atmosphere. There's also parking just down the street, and we were able to park for free during our visit. Overall, I had a really good first experience at Ammatoli. Between the welcoming service, fresh pita, and mezze, I'd definitely be interested in coming back and trying more of the menu.

Delicious Mediterranean food, kind service, and a gorgeous spacious restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is right by the street though, so it could be noisy. I chose to sit inside. The food is absolutely stunning in flavor and presentation. We had the Brunch Menu and ordered the Roasted Beet Hummus, Mini Shawarmas, Mediterranean Fries, Mint Lemonade, and Orange Blossom Latte. I loved all of it. The food is more filling than I expected, so if I come back, I know to order a little less. But I'm not complaining at all since the food was so good!

Ammatoli has been on my list for a while and finally got a chance to stop by. I got the following: muhammara, pita bread, kibbeh, and Zataar manousheh. As someone who has family from Syria the kibbeh had some curry notes and I wasn't accustomed to that flavor profile with that dish. The muhammara had a decent kick, solid dish. The Zataar was decent. I ended the night with Turkish coffee, I like the presentation. Overall, I think this spot showcases Levantine food well and if you are trying to expand your palette it's a good introduction to Levantine food. Give this spot a try if you are in the area.

Such a beautiful experience at Ammatoli in Long Beach! The food was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and felt very authentic. We ordered several dishes to share, which is definitely the way to go here. The hummus topped with tender meat and toasted pine nuts was rich and creamy, and the baba ghanoush had that wonderful smoky eggplant flavor I always look for. The falafel was another favorite--crispy and deeply golden on the outside without being dry inside. I also really enjoyed the fattet hummus. The combination of chickpeas, yogurt, crispy bread, toasted nuts, pomegranate, and herbs had so many different textures and flavors in one dish. Even the pickles and bright pink turnips were delicious and a perfect contrast to the richer dishes. The shakshuka-style dish came to the table in a beautiful skillet, still bubbling in a rich tomato sauce with eggs, herbs, and spices. It was comforting, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. What I especially appreciated was the attention to presentation. Everything came out looking beautiful and colorful, but it wasn't just about appearance--the flavors delivered too. As someone familiar with Middle Eastern food, I'm usually pretty particular about these dishes, and Ammatoli did a wonderful job. It's a great place to come with family or friends, order a table full of dishes, and share everything. Definitely one of the Middle Eastern restaurants in Long Beach I would happily return to.

We came back to Ammatoli because, since we were already in the area, we just couldn't pass by without going in. Once again, we had an amazing experience! This time Anthony helped us out, gave us some great suggestions, and was very friendly from start to finish. The food was impeccable! I honestly don't know how they do it, but every bite is better than the last. Of course, we had to finish everything with the same dessert we had last time, and I have a feeling it's going to become our tradition every time we come back. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in the area. We'll absolutely be coming back more often!

Visited here with my husband and son for a vacation dinner while we were in town - and my oh my we were not disappointed! Our waitress Kiara walked us through the menu and provided recommendations on what to order - we decided to take her up on her suggestions! We started with the three mezza - falafel, spicy hummus and muhamara, with a side of batata harra. We also got msakhan chicken, two meat skewers (chicken and shrimp) and a side of pita. Coming from NY, my hopes for food are extremely high, but wow Ammatoli gave my fave NY Levantine place a run for its money - every single bite was just fantastic! Since Kiara gave us such fab recommendations for dinner, we told her to surprise us with dessert. She brought out the date cake. I don't think we've finished a cake faster - I don't know Kiara personally but after tonight's selections, we would trust her with our entire lives. 10/10 all around. Service was amazing, food was phenomenal, vibes were immaculate! Plus points for a clean bathroom!

I finally tried the brunch it was sooo tasty! I got the mint lemonade for drink (delicious and refreshing) and the Levantine chilaquiles- fiiiiire. Roughly $6 for the drink and $18 for the plate. About average pricing for downtown long beach. My friend got the chicken plate and it was $44!! But! it was quite a lot of bird and it was beautiful. I've had dinner here before as well and it tasted amazing. The service has always been lovely. The decor in here!!!! It's so beautiful! You feel tranquil and pretty just sitting inside. They did an amazing job. I love that they also have an outdoor patio for the fresh air downtown vibe.

Service and atmosphere were top-notch. Parking is iffy - the nearby parking garage is $20/hr if you come on a special events day, otherwise, it's free for 2 hours! Mutabbal and pita were great together. They make the pita fresh so it's super warm and fluffy. Zaatar manouche is a bit dry but otherwise the seasoning was good. Palestinian msakhan was good. The only downside was that it was hard to cut up. Walnut baklawa was the best baklawa I've ever had in my life.

Food was very good with a personal highlight being the zahra mezza. The cauliflower is satisfying to eat with the freshly baked pita and hummus. Pistachio was excluded due to tree nut allergy, which was much appreciated. Jilane was a great server, she was informative and easy to talk to regarding food that may impact my food allergy. She even informed me that sumac on the onions may trigger a reaction so we opted to leave it out to err on the side of caution. I am grateful that she is someone who takes allergies seriously! My only critique is that I ordered medium rare for the ribeye steak but the pieces I got were a bit too chewy and tough for my liking. The seats are also a bit close to other tables so when it is busy, your seat may be more prone to people accidentally tapping it if you are too closely seated to your table.

Food was delicious. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, well cooked, and flavorful. Our waitress Mary added to the experience with her passion for the food and her courtesy while serving us. The decor is classy and cultivated to enhance the Mediterranean feeling. Thank you Ammatoli!

Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday. Good service where server had recommendations. I felt the price was a bit high for the items we ordered. Food wise it was ok for me as nothing really stood out so surprising to see such high ratings. Inside is nicely decorated with an upscale feel.

I believe this is family friendly.

Do they have kids menu options for brunch?

I don't think so. I don't remember seeing anything specific for a kid's menu, but I think the flatbread choices would be ideal for kids.

Do they offer vegan options (if any)?

Yes. I was able to find some!

Walk-ins are most welcomed! However, it will be extremely difficult to accommodate parties of 7 or more due to limited space and other reservations which also need to be honored.

Yes, you can order any of the food items from the bar that you would be able to get from a table.

Hello, when we previously asked about your chicken shawarma, we were told that you make it with only chicken breast. On my last visit, I noticed some dark meat mixed in, so I wanted to make sure and ask if there was a change? Thank you!

Thank you for your question! As we started to make the chicken shawarma on the spit, we have been adding chicken thighs in addition to the chicken breast. This makes the chicken shawarma more flavorful and more juicy. Previously, we used to make it…

That first experience is what made me come back. On my second visit, I ordered the same salad with chicken and lamb because I wanted that same experience again. When I got back to work, I realized the chicken was missing. I did not complain because I still had the lamb and the rest of the salad, and I understand that mistakes happen. Still, it was disappointing because I specifically came back wanting the same complete meal I had the first time. On my third visit, I drove from Gardena to Signal Hill specifically for that salad. After driving back to Gardena, I realized there was no dressing in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained what happened. I was told, "I'm sorry." At first I accepted that, but then I thought, what am I supposed to do with a salad with no dressing? I called back because I wanted to know what could be done. I was told that if I wanted my money back, I would have to bring the salad back to the restaurant. That meant after already driving from Gardena to Signal Hill and back, I was expected to make another trip because of something the restaurant forgot. When I explained that I was disappointed with how the situation was being handled and that I planned to leave a review, the woman on the phone responded, "All this for a dressing?" That comment bothered me more than the original mistake. Yes, it was dressing, but that misses the point. This was already the second time something had been left out of my order. The first time, I let it go. This time, the missing item affected the whole meal. What I would have appreciated was simple customer service. Acknowledge the inconvenience and make an effort to keep the customer. Something as simple as, "We apologize. Unfortunately, we cannot refund you without the food being returned, but on your next visit we will make sure we take care of you," would have completely changed the experience. Even offering a drink next time or simply saying they appreciated my business would have shown that they cared. I also tipped on my takeout order because I believe a tip is a way of showing appreciation for good service and attention to detail. I understand that a tip does not guarantee perfection, but it was disappointing to tip and still receive an incomplete order. There was also something I observed during this visit that concerned me. Someone spilled a drink, and one of the cooks helped clean it up. He wiped the floor while wearing gloves and, from what I could see, appeared to keep the same gloves on when returning to food preparation. That made me uncomfortable. I would have expected the gloves to be changed before handling food again. To be fair, the restaurant itself looks clean, organized, and well maintained. The tables, chairs, counters, and furniture appear to be in good condition. That is one of the reasons I kept giving this place another chance. I wanted to like Pita Pitaki. After my first visit, I thought it might become one of my go to places. Unfortunately, I never really got that same full experience again. My first visit was good. My second visit was missing the chicken. My third visit was missing the dressing, followed by customer service that made me feel like my concern did not matter. You can have good food and a clean restaurant, but customer service still matters. Sometimes how a business handles a mistake matters more than the mistake itself. My advice for anyone ordering takeout here is simple. Double check your order before you leave. Open the bag and make sure you have everything, especially meats, sauces, and dressing. Unfortunately, after giving this place several chances, it is no longer one of my go to spots.

There are so many different kebabs to choose from, and I've yet to have one that wasn't delicious. My personal favorites are the steak and the chicken--both are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. One thing you absolutely cannot skip is the edamame hummus. I had never even heard of edamame hummus before coming here, and now I can't believe I went so long without trying it. It was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor while putting such a unique twist on traditional hummus. It's one of those dishes that completely changes your expectations and has you thinking about it long after you've left the restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and perfect whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or having dinner with friends or family. The menu is packed with so many dishes that I still want to try, which just gives me another reason to keep coming back. Panini Kabob Grill continues to deliver an incredible experience, and I can't recommend it enough.

My husband ordered Jumbo Shrimp Ka-Box. The description read "4 charbroiled jumbo prawns with grilled vegetables, broccoli, and pita bread. Served with your choice of rice and spread. The vegetables in his order looks over charred and He did not get broccoli in his order. And the shrimp did not look jumbo and it was overcooked. I ordered the Falafel Ka-Box. The description reads "Six falafels, traditional garbanzo hummus and tzatziki. Served with warm pita bread." On the app You choose your rice - I choose basmati rice. Not sure why they let you choose your spread when the description reads you get hummus and tzatziki. I just selected hummus. My order was missing the hummus and tzatziki. I wish they would have given me my spreads cos my meal would have been dry without it (imo). Since I had no spread, my husband ended giving me his which meant he had no spread for his meal. I wish they would have done better because I was craving food from here for so long and other locations I have been to, I have never had this problem.
