Such a cute spot, the chilaquiles are delicious. I highly recommend a coffee date as the atmosphere is perfect. The service was quick and efficient.

Great food, service and ambience! The place is too cute and the tacos were fancy but soooo good. My favorite were the steak and the shrimp but the waitress said try the octopus next time. Definitely nice people you're happy to invest in.

The ambiance was amazing and relaxing. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Loved all the food from the iced mazapan latte, concha, sandwich and chilaquiles. Didn't get pictures of everything because once I tasted it I was not going to stop for a pic the food was too good Waiters were super friendly and the vibes were nice. Definitely will be back

What a cozy and delicious meal! Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Everything was top tier from the latte to the french toast to the chilaquiles! Highly recommend both but if you're feeling something sweet go for the french toast and if you want savory go for the chilaquiles. The were perfectly crispy! Would absolutely recommend this place for a date, for a brunch with the girlies, you name it! There is a bar, some tables inside and two tables outside. Pro tip: this place gets hella busy but they do reservations - yay! So make sure to get one for the weekend! Parking was easy as I parked in one of the neighborhood streets nearby. It was two hour parking.

This was a great experience for comfort mexican food with modern twist! Service was excellent, kind friendly staff, and beautiful modern yet comfortable warm ambiance. Tacos: Huitlacoche - the kernels were good but mixed in with sweet corn was too sweet. I tasted more sweet corn than mushroom or huitlacoche, beans were good! Not spicy, could use a spicy salsa Chicharrón - excellent Shrimp - fresh, but too much cream sauce! The taco fell apart, more fresh condiments like cilantro and onions would have been nice vs so much sauce Barbacoa - it was good, but needed lemon, cilantro and onions! Birria especially goat or lamb is best served with fresh squeezed lemon and fresh condiments on the side for the palette's desire. Salsas and chips - fresh chips! Green salsa was good, red salsa had a flavor we couldn't pinpoint, canned chipotle maybe? Not our favorite. Tlayuda - not traditional, but the crunchy cheese layer was fun! We enjoyed it and would order one more for the table next time. Excellent and fresh Homemade Flour tortilla - yum! Homemade Corn Tortilla - a little dry, not too flavorful. Hopes for the future: I wish there could be a green salad, fish option, or other unique veggie sides like nopales, verdolagas, or mushrooms en chile that Mexican cuisine has to offer! Either way looking forward to trying lunch menu

Once again I saw this restaurant on my socials and I definitely had to stop in and try it for myself. I was not disappointed whatsoever. I was greeted with smile and a warm welcome. Very refreshing these days. The restaurant is very clean from the dining room to the restrooms.. The staff was so kind ,accommodating and very attentive. The variety of food is nice. The service was quick. The food was served at the right temperature. Everything ordered tasted fresh and delicious. I had a great experience overall. The pricing and the portions are reasonable. I will definitely come back again.

Mexican matcha (oat milk and palo santo) Light taste and refreshing Chilaquiles with green sauce delicious. We set outside. Even with the cars driving by it was very pleasant and relaxing. Friendly and relaxed service. No rush.

I was in Burbank and wanted some breakfast that wasn't right next to the mall, this was the perfect spot! It was pretty busy so without a reservation we waited about 25 mins for a table of 2. I got the breakfast sandwich without chimichurri and it was absolutely delicious! It had thick cut bacon and lots of avocado. I also got a Mexican coke and it was just the perfect meal. There's a good amount of seating inside but the place isn't huge, very cute and cozy. There's also two tables out on their patio for dining as well, making it dog friendly!

Aguachile Verde

We came to try out Amor A Mi, and let me start by saying I probably ordered the wrong item, I had the aguachiles and it came with 3 rolled up potato tacos and to be honest the aguachiles were flavorless as well goes with the potato tacos nothing special about them. My buddy order the ceviche and it was flavorless as well. My friends daughters had the French toast but they didn't like it they all left more than half of their plate of the French toast, at that they didn't offer any kind of syrup. Overall the place is nice and clean and I'll probably come back but I will definitely order something else as for the seafood it's a no go for me.

Chilaquiles

Came for Mother's Day brunch with the family and left impressed. The coffee by Civil Coffee is fantastic and the pan dulce is delicious. The inside is very unassuming much like many buildings you find in Latin American countries. The inside is really cute and makes you feel like you're not in LA. (Sometimes a plus ). The real star of the show for me was the service and the asada chilaquiles I ordered. The salsa verde is spicy and delicious! Definitely would recommend this spot, reservations encouraged.

I've been wanting to try this place out ever since it opened. I'm Mexican and I'm always searching for restaurants that have authentic flavors. As soon as I saw huitlacoche tacos on their menu, I knew I had to go. The inside was bigger than I expected with quite a few tables and plenty of bar seating. It would be a great place for a date or to have a conversation with friends. I love it when restaurants aren't deafening loud. I ordered the chips and salsa which was a generous serving and included both green and red salsas, a jamaica, a huitlacoche taco and their tlayuda norteña (skirt steak with veggies). Loved the salsa, especially the spicier green one but both lacked salt. The huitlacoche taco was tasty. The skirt steak was okay. The meat wasn't very tender, the entire plate also lacked salt. Also, it was served without a knife to help cut into the whole thing. I wouldn't order this again. Overall, I enjoyed my food and my time here and I'll probably be back. I'd love to try some of their breakfast items which all look and sound lovely.

Chilaquiles
Anthony R.

I was looking for some chilaquiles around the area and stumbled upon this cafe. I got chilaquiles verdes with carne asada added. Maybe the best chilaquiles I've had! The chips were freshly made and super crunchy. The green sauce was in the spicier side, but I still really enjoyed it! The steak is cooked medium and was very tender. The service was awesome. They kept checking up to see if we were ok. It does get busy and reservations are highly recommended. I will definitely be back!

Cute spot with great food and easy parking! The food is more Americanized but also flavorful and good. Dropped one star because the main service felt a bit flat and the workers didn't seem too happy to be working. A huge exception goes to the lady who brought out our food--she was kind, pleasant, and smiling, which made our experience better! Would recommend for the cute vibes :)

The chips and salsa were fresh, the cocktails were well-made, and the entrees were flavorful and nicely presented. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices are on the higher side, even for DTLA, and a few dishes didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the ambiance. Nothing was bad, but a couple of items felt more good than memorable. That said, I'd definitely come back. If you're looking for upscale Mexican food in downtown LA with a fun atmosphere, Javier's is worth checking out.

She had a nasty attitude and no smiles at all. I asked if they sold sopes I asked where on the meñu was it? So I can look at my options. The server told me it wasn't on the Meñu. In my head I'm like "how do you not have it on the meñu but yet sell it ?" I didn't make it a big deal but for some reason she seemed annoyed. I also asked one of the other servers if they can bring a lemonade for my daughter, she had said yes she can do that. But.. We got our food 35 mins later (keep in mind it was one plate) we were waiting on. & we still hadn't gotten our lemonade I had asked for. The cook brought us our plate & he was nice and asked if we needed anything else. I said " I asked one of the servers for a lemonade and it still hasn't been brought." & he mentioned he would let them know. Then the server comes back with an attitude and places it on the table, not even a word said. I even thanked her multiple times and nothing was said, no "you're welcome" or anything. She never even checked up on us or asked if we needed anything else. If you can't handle being a server why even work as one? Simple as that. This is what ruins a restaurant's reputation and makes people not want to go back. No tip was deserved.

My friend was visiting and had never been before, so we decided to give it a go As soon as we walked in, I was completely mesmerized. The decor is absolutely stunning and beautifully done. I've been to the Irvine and Vegas locations, and honestly, I think this one tops both of them. The ambiance, the lighting and big white booths alone makes you want to stay awhile. What made our experience even better was our server, Eber. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely kind throughout our meal. We really appreciated the little details, the conversation, and how attentive he was without ever feeling overbearing. My friend ordered the steak picado, where you get to build your own tacos, and I ordered the fish of the day, which happened to be the sea bass. It was a little more buttery than I personally prefer, but I still enjoyed it. It came with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes, which made for a really satisfying plate. TBH I always get the trio enchiladas and I'll continue getting that from now on haha. But it's okay to try new things! My friend's steak was cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful, and incredibly filling. The Mexican rice was yummy!! It was huge portions we were both so full. We also shared the guacamole, enjoyed some wine, and Eber had a cucumber mocktail made for my friend that was really refreshing and delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the beautiful space, great food, and exceptional service, this location really stood out to me. I'll definitely be back.

First off staff greeting and interior is really nice. I feel like it's a little get away from the hectic days. We had a group of 7 with reservations. Reservations are highly recommended. Chips n Salsa are great almost addictive. This was probably the highlight of the experience this and the atmosphere within. I'll get right to business. The menu isn't really reaching for anything outside the norm. I went with the aguachile verde which I split and the tomahawk pork chop. The aguachile was great. Not life changing but on point. Great amount too. Pork Chop was just a tad bit overcooked. Well seasoned. Plain n simple. This is a safe bet for a good meal. Veggies tasted good and the potato puree was light and flavorful. I'd say worth the $55. Service was a bit slow but not too bad. We had a large table. The prices are pretty high for what you get but there are some decent meals there. On a side note a friend got a "mariscos quesadilla". I think they had mistakenly got it or misread the option. Not a single person had made an attempt at this quesadilla. No one knows what was in it either. All we knew was that it smelled like the ocean. It was not pleasant at all. I believe we asked for the item to be removed but it wasnt. Avoid this menu item. You've been warned. PS - As a michelada aficionado the ones at Javier's Pasadena are a 2.5 out of 5. Very basic.
