Been here twice and both times were excellent. The restaurant is nice, the music is just right, and the crowd is chill. Service here is exceptional. So far we've had the chilaquiles, the chicken tinga masala taco, huitlacoche taco, frenchicano toast, tortitas de papas, avocado toast a d china poblana. The standouts were the tortitas, frenchicano toast, chicken tinga tacos and chilaquiles. Just very well done dishes with balanced flavors. For me the avocado toast and china poblana were things I wouldnt order again, but not because they were bad. Just not my personal preference. The avocado toast was nit as toasty as I expected and it was sliced avocado which I was expecting more of a mashed avocado. Still a good dish. The china poblana was like a steamed bun using blue corn tortilla. The braised pork belly wasnt as flavorful or tender as I expected. Maybe it was just a one time miss? In any case, this place is pretty amazing. The coffee drinks are amazing. Wife got iced latte with palo santo syrup and I got a cold brew with mazapan syrup. Tasted fresh, strong and tasty. Amor A Mi is fantastic! I had the chilequiles rojo with asada and a fried egg on top along with an iced mole mocha. My girlfriend had the breakfast sandwich. The chilequiles had a slight spice to it that I loved and the asada was both juicy and tender. The over easy eggs were a little overdone but that wasn't even remotely close enough to bring the meal down, the ensemble slapped extremely hard. My girlfriend enjoyed her sandwich immensely, and the bite I had featured a soft bun and fresh ingredients. She also really enjoyed the decorations and overal vibe of the place. At the moment they're still in their soft opening time, but it was wonderful! Street parking during the weekday was easy and we got parking right upfront (I believe it's only street parking). When entering, the environment felt welcoming as they had good music, nice decorations, as well as having some natural lighting coming from the ceiling. The person who brought our drinks and food was very nice and was attentive to us while we dinned in. Breakfast sandwich: very good! Only thing I personally felt was missing was something spicy, I asked for a hot sauce which I believe they brought out an avocado based one that goes on the chilaquiles, and I wasn't mad about it. It had a good kick and it added a good flavor to it. Mexican French toast: I was surprised to find out the topping was lemony, but it was good. I shared it with my sister in law and we tried it both when we had just gotten it and when we finished our meals since we decided to have it as a dessert. I recommend eating it as soon as it comes out as it's warm and the flavoring is fresh. Not pictured- green smoothie: I enjoyed it! Subtle hint of coconut and matcha and it paired very well! Unfortunately, what made my experience negative was the service from a young man who took our order and brought our food. It was my first time here, and he was rude. When I asked what latte flavors they had, he rolled his eyes, pointed at a menu on the counter, and said, "They are right there." My sister and I ordered the chilaquiles, which do not come with an egg like they usually do at other places--you have to pay extra. We sat down, and I got the cajeta latte while my sister got the matcha latte. My sister didn't like her drink, so I asked the same young man if we could exchange it for a different latte. He sighed and, in an exasperated tone, asked why we wanted a different drink. I explained that my sister just didn't like it. He rolled his eyes again and asked, "What do you want then?" Frustrated, my sister told him to just take the drink away and that she didn't want a replacement. I support small businesses and really wanted to like this place, but the service from that young man was horrible. The food wasn't bad, but I didn't like that the chilaquiles didn't come with an egg. Decided to try this location out since my friend and I were in the area and I must say the ambiance was amazing. We both had their chilaquiles and it was so delicious. Their matcha drinks are quite unique in which the creator of the drinks shared about his take on creating authenticity with non-traditional tastes like matcha in Mexican culture.
