    Combo vermicelli

I used to pass by this place all the time when I'd hit that Roosevelt LA Fitness but this was the first time actually checkin em out. Dined in and ordered a large brisket+meatball pho, which was pretty solid (esp factoring in size + quality + price). Definitely a better option than a lot of other pho spots in the u district area. They also offer other dishes e.g. bunbohue, rice dishes, banhmi, vermicelli, etc etc. almost got their bunbohue but the worker said it doesn't include that good ol blood so I opted for pho instead. NGL, towards the end of my meal, I saw someone order a vermicelli bowl and so I had to get one to go lmaoooo. IMO their vermicelli was a bit better than their pho but. Go try it for yourselves!

Wonderful service and great prices. The veggie broth is some of the best I have had. Very affordable and nice ambiance. The chicken fried rice was a little oily but still good. Would come again!

My order: Large Steak Pho ($13) Fried Rolls ($6) Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($8) I walked past this place a couple times and finally decided to try it last week. I'd say for the price and quick service this is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Roosevelt area or need a good hangover pho for cheap. $13 for a large pho I feel like is a great deal for prices these days. Fried rolls were okay but not something you absolutely need to order. The Banh Mi was really good for the price. I forgot to see if you can add egg which is probably extra, but for $8 and a good size to eat then or save for a late snack I would recommend buying with the pho. Overall rating: 8/10 Attached some photos of the food as well (Forgot to take a picture of the Banh Mi but I was also hungover and tired). Hope this helps anyone looking for cheap and decent Pho.

First time coming here and the portion was huge! Pictured are two large pho, only $14 each. I love how there's different broths to choose from. They even gave us complimentary fried egg rolls which was nice and fresh and had taro inside. This place was clean and quiet. Only downside is that sriracha comes in packets rather than the bottle.

This place is really, really good. Everything you want from a pho joint. Classic decor with fish tanks, dim lighting and excellent food. We came on a rainy day and there were about 5-6 other tables occupied. I got the steak and brisket pho, my partner got bun bo hue - we also split some spring rolls. Everything was excellent. The pho broth was good and spicy (I asked for it that way) and the spring rolls had a good crunch. I'll be coming back whenever I want some pho!

$17 after tax the portions just not matching

I usually prefer this place over papas kitchen due to their high price but when you get a poor portion like this it's almost better to just bite the bullet very disappointed it wasn't hot I had to put it back in the microwave but their customer service is always great. Not sure if I'll go back

Nice hearty pho and bho ko! Super fresh spring rolls with shrimp and grilled pork! No complaints!

Special Roll Pork and Shrimp spring roll
    Amanda ..

Ordered small brisket pho and pork and shrimp spring roll. The pho broth was good, however not enough meat portion to amount of noodles. So much noodles, not enough meat to balance. I was excited to try the "special roll" which is pork and shrimp spring roll, but was disappointed. Again, the not enough meat. The meat is very skinny and tiny... not worth it

Nice spot around the roosavelt area Really good food here and great staff. Everything was well prepared.

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

Oh, and a vodka lemonade - you can get cocktails delivered via DoorDash! Everything was super good, especially the chili cheese dog. They were really generous with the chili (a full cup of it) and it was delicious. The lemonade is made from scratch and I really enjoyed that, as well - not too sweet. When we did takeout, we each got a sandwich, and we also got a Chicago dog, "chum bucket" w/ tots, and a handful of cocktails. I'd had kind of a bad week and was basically like, I don't even care, let's just get whatever we want even if it's an insane amount of stuff, haha. They do single serving craft cocktails for takeout in little cans, which is pretty cool. And they were SO GOOD (all with very clever nautical-themed names). I think our favorite was the "No Ship Sherlock" seasonal Moscow mule. The Chicago dog was amazing - based on this and my previous chili cheese dog, I can say without hesitation that their hotdogs are 100% 10/10. The "chum bucket" tots were also really good, and again came with a very generous full cup of chili. I hate to say it because everything else was so good, but the sandwiches were pretty disappointing for the price, we both thought. I had a tuna sandwich and my bf had a veggie sandwich. They used fresh, quality ingredients, but both sandwiches were kind of bland, and a lot smaller than we were expecting for $14 apiece. That's the only reason I dropped a star, but aside from that, they are 5 star all the way. So, we would not revisit the sandwiches, but hotdogs and cocktails HELL YES YES YES!! Anything involving the chili is also highly recommended. And although I didn't really go into detail about it, chicken tenders were good, too (there were more in there than what the photo shows) - crispy and well-seasoned, and more than what I was expecting.

Katsu is one of the finest fried items known to humankind, and even though eating fried food makes me feel like I've been punched in the stomach recently, I was willing to take a rocket to the gut for some stellar katsu and fries. Daruma has the set up of a no-frills establishment that knows they're going to be churning out orders. The kiosk order system isn't that common in the US because it seems ridiculously unfriendly, but Japan is about efficiency with a focus on the food. They only had two people working here so it was slow, but absolutely worth it. The spicy chicken katsu was incredible. Everything that was on this sandwich had a reason for being there. The cutlet itself was incredibly juicy and crispy. The right amount of sauce was applied so as to not make the sandwich itself soggy (critical on a sandwich with fried elements), and then the cabbage on top gives it a bit of freshness. I'm pretty sure the bread was fine, but that isn't why we're here. It's a vessel for fried food. The fries seem to need a bit of work. I think they may have gotten soggy because they came in a to-go box, but the seasoning was fantastic. They also come with whatever sauce you want, and there is a plethora to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy mayo, which I then added to the katsu sando as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Fremont area.

You order at the kiosk/tablet, pay, get your order number, go get your drinks, find a table. They will call your name or number when your order is ready. We tried the promo Oyako Sando(egg salad and Chicken Katsu together) sandwich. It's a honker of a sando, messy, hope you like mayo, katsu wasn't as crisp as I liked, bread does get a bit soggy at the end, napkins are your friend. We also tried the regular Pork Katsu Sando. Same here, wasn't as crisp as we thought it would be, pork was ok too, pretty classic sandwich. Made these into combos, which comes with a choice of fries and a drink. You get to choose your seasoning on the fries, we got one Nori and Spice style. Combo comes with a fountain drink, or pay a little extra for a bottled drink. FYI: They go heavy on the seasoning for your fries. You get a choice of dipping sauce, we chose their Katsu sauce and the spicy mayo. Another FYI: Spice fries with spicy mayo gets a little heavy in your mouth with the spice. Don't forget to clear your own table when you are done. Prices are about $20/person if you get a combo. Overall, glad we came by to check it out so we know.
