I was very excited to try this new place in Delray and was not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. We were greeted by the owners son and then spoke with Ana herself (I'm guessing). Her mom was in the back making fresh empanadas. They were all very welcoming and friendly. We tried the Argentinan beef and pepperoni pizza empanadas and they were both delicious. The service starts right when you walk through the door! I went on a week day and I've actually been waiting to try this place out for a year or two because I don't live in Florida. I didn't get the chance the last time I was here. The girl behind the counter was friendly and answered our questions with ease. She even labelled the empanadas for us so we knew which one was which without asking. Not a lot of places or people do that unless you request it, so I was impressed! Love how full these empanadas are! We tried the brisket, arroz con carne & philly cheese steak. My favorite was the brisket! I felt the arroz con carne could use more flavor. Also would love kid friendly options such as cheese, ham and cheese, or pizza flavored. Also tried the dulce de leche and apple pie dessert empanadas. They were yummy and would've been even better if they were kept warm like the other empanadas. I was going to buy Pierogies next door and saw Ana's empanadas which I've never seen, so I took a chance. It was INCREDIBLE! I bought a brisket and beef empanada and they were both amazing, the brisket was sweet, juicy, seasoned to perfection. I will 100% be back very soon and will show it to everyone I know. I live across Congress Avenue from this store and it is kept immaculately clean and you can see directly into the food prep area. the Best Buy is three for $15.00 or the family pack of six plus rice and beans. really enjoy the philly steak and the brisket but we have enjoyed everything we've ordered from Anna's. Even ordered from here for Mother's Day and we ate by the pool in our development. A much better choice and way more enjoyable then joining the crush on Atlantic Avenue. read more

This shop is cute, clean, and totally home grown. Pretty sure that grandma was cooking the empanadas while mom and son were running the front counter. We came in with a big lunch rush of customers - I think they are still a little surprised by their popularity. The service was friendly, bilingual (Spanish and English). I heard and read good things about Ana's Killer Empanadas and happily it did not disappoint. The store is small and clean and the young guy serving us was friendly and helpful. We tried a few Empanadas and while the Chicken was good it was the Brisket Empanada that was the winner - it was great. I placed my order online which was easy and seamless, picked a time for my takeout and when I arrived, my order was ready and still warm meaning they actually pay attention to the desired pickup time. Cuban sandwich empanada? Damn right! All the flavors of the classic sandwich is a perfectly baked dough that was smooth, shiny and not the least bit oily. The more classic beef empanada was filled with a perfectly seasoned and cooked ground beef in, again that awesome pastry. If you think you are done at that point, you aren't until you have the incredible dulce de leche mini empanada for dessert This is a great place with some very unusual empanada flavors including the Cuban and one I will try next time: meatball parm. My family loves empanadas and we were excited to try this place. The empanadas are a bit higher in price then we pay at other establishments, so we were hoping for something special. We ordered the beef empanadas and the brisket empanadas. The beef empanada was dry and tasteless. In addition, we purchased multiples and they were not uniform in size. The brisket empanadas were slightly more moist but had no taste. They included commercial bbq sauce and a chimichurri that tasted terrible. I understand that the empanadas contained a lot of quality meat and the price reflects that but the taste was sorely lacking. read more
