I've been here a few times now and wanted to leave an honest review based on my overall experiences, especially tonight. The pizza itself is actually pretty good, which is why I kept coming back and really wanted to support this small business. Unfortunately, the customer service and wait times have consistently been disappointing. Tonight, I stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged or greeted me. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

This is my favorite NY style pizza in Seattle! The crust is thin and crispy on the bottom but has just the right amount of chew. What differentiates this place from other pizzerias is the interesting topping combinations. They used to have a Lao sausage pizza that was my favorite but they recently got rid of it. My usual order here is the half and half pizza with Magic Mario and the weekly special. I love a white pizza and the Magic Mario is packed with cheesy mushroomy goodness. The mushrooms are super meaty and earthy and packed with umami which complements the cheese and truffle oil really well. I usually like getting the weekly special because it's always interesting and different. Despite the name of this place being ananas (meaning pineapple), I cannot recommend getting the pineapple pizza. I already don't like pineapple on pizza but this was a whole new level of bad. It was like they poured a whole can of pineapple juice on the pizza. It was soupy and the crust was soggy. Everything else is really good though.

Customer service was great - had an issue with DoorDash and called and they were very friendly. The pizzas - next level crust. Flavorful on its own, chewy and crisp. Love the flavor combos esp the Birds Eye honey. We devoured the pizzas!

If you're not a non-meat pizza believer you have to try the greenhouse pizza! Ultimate flavor bomb. The herby pesto drizzle pairs so well with the tangy red sauce along with the creamy ricotta. I also tried the garden of eatin' pizza; this one was alright as it reminded me a lot of a typical supreme pizza (very flavorful cremini mushrooms though). A little overpriced for what it is, but would say it's for those who want to "stick to what they know." Decent pizza crust; fluffy but borderline overly floppy. Wished the garlic knots had more of a garlic, vampire-defying, punch to them like the knots at NYC pizzerias. Much more pizza-crust-taste-forward; would say order these if you just want extra carbs for your pints of beer. :p Great service! Gentleman who assisted me with my takeout order was super welcoming and friendly. Pizzeria has a casual low-light chill bar ambiance. Overall I'd say it's worth checking this spot out if you're curious about the greenhouse pizza. Also not a bad choice if you're in the neighborhood and have a hankering for some pizza in general.

Cool vibes! We came here last Tuesday and the building was tucked away in between two tall buildings! We also came at a good time, closer to 5. There were only 2 ppl and by the time we left, it was packed! The place has that red mood lighting and the decors are pretty out of this world. We got slices off the happy hour menu and tried a twisted tea along with a strawberry rhubarb margarita! The garlic Parmesan chicken wings were the HIT! Along with their made-in-house, dill ranch! I did like the pizzas and they're served on paper plates just an fyi. The staff is friendly and you can find all kinds of ppl here. We even had an elderly couple next to us!

This place is so good! The ambiance is great. It's intimate and cozy. They have a few tvs, one had college basketball on. They have some bar seating and lower tables too. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The pizza was delicious! So many flavors and paired really well together. They also let you split the pizzas which was great because we didn't need to order way more than needed while still getting what we each wanted. We'll definitely be back!

Found this neighborhood classic on Yelp after arriving downtown at 10:30pm and about 12 hours since my last meal. This is one of those places you walk in and it feels right. The Manager Josh had a room full and welcomed me and had an epic Hood River Oregon Japanese style lager from pFreim that is epic. I had a salad and several slices. Pizza is spot on. Pizza sauce and cheese is perfect blend of tomato and silky mozzarella. I love the rock and roll playing at just the right volume. Not too loud so you can't have a conversation. Everything about this place is quality and thoughtfulness. This is a yelp all star!

We love ananas!! We ordered online driving back from Tacoma (it was super easy), and it took about 30 minutes. It was hot and ready when we got there! We got takeout pizzas here after recommendation from a friend. Their pizzas are massive so great to share with a group, and between the 6 of us we got 2 pizzas which was pretty much the perfect amount. We chose the birds eye honey and greenhouse, both of which were so delicious! They were loaded with toppings, and the crust was thin yet sturdy. I especially loved the birds eye honey - it was the perfect balance of salty and sweet. The abundance of veggies on the greenhouse was also delicious! My stomach did hurt after but not sure if that was because of the pizzas or something else. They were yummy though!

A great place to eat when it's later and other places have closed. Fun menu and we were super excited when we saw the Kostco chicken bake there. My favorite was the bird's eye honey though. I just really like a hot honey on a pizza. All had really good crusts and while a whole pizza basically hits $30, we were able to happily share 2 pizzas and an order of garlic knots between 5 people. All the flavors are great, the kostco chicken bake tasted better than an actual chicken bake for sure, and the magic mario was biiig mushroomy. Early Friday dinner with a coworker and we got in before the crowd arrived. The vaulted ceiling gives the room depth, character, and the lighting reminded me of the Venetian in Las Vegas. Had a slice of Ananas signature pie: yes it has pineapple and it's a good crunchy thin slice. Tried the hot honey wings with ranch. Loved the honey glaze: not overly sweet and the carmelized bits provided a nice crunch at the end of each wing/drummette. Would have enjoyed them a little spicier but that's personal preference. Not a typical/fast food ranch, maybe house made? Distinctive taste but it doesn't pair with the honey. Garlic bites with marinara were yummy! Cheese evenly distributed and not super heavy on garlic. Marinara could have been bolder.

Did we just heard Laos and pizza in the same sentence? Laos pizza, whattt?! Of course, had to check it out. There are 3 type of pizza that you can get by the slice, but it's pretty basic favor such as cheese or pepperoni, if you want to try more specialties which I feel like is the whole point of commuting to Seattle and coming here, you'd have to order a whole pizza. I'd say that it can fill maybe 2-3 people? There are vegan cheese option. Chill, casual, probably a good place to drink on any day of the week on top of eating great pizza. We ordered the Laos. Everything on it is good, except I don't think Laos sausage is my thing, it has a rather strong acquired taste so I'll just make sure to try other ones on the menu next time. Fantastic happy hour! 3-6 and after 10pm daily. All day Mondays. Super great deal!! And the cocktails are excellent. I usually get a margarita or the old fashioned. I tried a new one this time, Spirit of Ananas. If you like a good margarita, this one kicks it up a notch. The pizza is also delicious and the Ceaser salad. Birds Eye Honey is out go to pizza, always. Highly recommend this place. Great bar, food, service always! read more

We stopped by today and everything was awesome. We had the Birdseye Honey and it was outstanding. Ceasar salad was very good as were the Manhattan's. Our server and bartender Austin was ever friendly, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere is very interesting and inviting and not too loud. Overall a great evening out. Thank you! read more

Such an amazing pizza place. The service was phenomenal. We had the Magic Mario and the Greenhouse Pizza. Both pizzas weee excellent, but the Magic Mario was everyone's favorite! The Caesar salad was good. Their ranch dressing was so tasty. We also splurged, and had dessert. The Elephant Ear did not disappoint!! Casual but cool atmosphere...we enjoyed the outside seating. Ordered the Lao pizza TO-Go and only half the pie made it home. The picture below is the half that made it to share. It was THAT good. The Lao pizza is topped off with Lao sausage, bamboo shoots, onions, cheese, and red sauce. The crust is what it's about for me. That thin crust with the chewy texture and crisp on the outside. That perfect crust melts your heart and takes over your tastebuds. Definitely give it a try! I popped in to pick up my order and the vibes were cool with a full bar. They didnt have the laos pizza when i went so we got the birds chili honey and the ananas pizza. Tbf im not a big fan of pineapple on pizza lol so the ananas one was okay to me. The other one was pretty good! If anything a bit oily. The elephant ear dessert was something ive never had and was also pretty good read more

I came across Ananas because I was craving a very specific kind of pizza - white sauce with mushrooms(specifically not just button mushrooms). And lo behold Ananas was the only place around me that had one (called the Super Mario pizza). It was amazing. They only have one size (16in) but I split it with my partner and it was perfect amount. For that alone, I would come back to this place. I feel like with pizza, you either go for the quality type (like thick crust or wood fired or etc), or a specific combo. And if I want a combo pizza, honestly dominoes or a frozen DiGiornos will do. But if you're ever craving a white sauce mushroom pizza, THIS IS THE PLACE. It has shiitake, shineji, and oyster mushrooms, and truffle seasoning! 5 for our favorite plumber's go to pizza read more

Ordered 3 different pizza flavors. The crust is pretty nice- thin and light. Definitely more crispy when you order by the slice (which I enjoyed). Also got their version of a Hawaiian pizza, which the group thought was tasty but a little bit too much sauce for us. We also tried the Lao pizza as it seemed like this was the pizza "unique" to them and I was really interested in a good fusion pizza. It sounded good in theory. Unfortunately this was not a hit. 1) the flavors were odd and overpowered by all of the bamboo and lots of dill on the pizza. 2) really really saucey and barely any meat. This made the pizza just feel soggy with lots of bites of bamboo and dill. Sadly this is not a repeat for us. But I would go back to try their other flavors, as the other two were tasty. read more

The pizza is really good and the only reason I'm going with 4 stars is because of the price. $30 is a bit too much for a pizza. We've had the Laotian pizza, the hot honey, and the meat one and they can run a bit on the salty side especially the meat pizza but still really good. I can't speak for the service in the restaurant itself but the pickup is always pretty fast and everyone has been really nice. The inside is cute though, maybe one day I'll sit in but for now it's my go to pickup pizza place when I'm feeling like an expensive one. read more

We really enjoyed their unique pizzas. We had the popular ananas pizza, and the second was - I think - a gyoza pizza. Perhaps a special, because it's not on the menu. It was quite delicious. We stumbled upon this restaurant after doing a yelp search and were so glad we did! This restaurant is in a quiet part of Seattle and enjoyed the feel of the neighborhood. The building and ambiance is unique and fun. The pizza was fantastic and we had a wonderful server who was attentive and friendly. They also serve non alcoholic beer which my husband appreciated. BEST PIZZA IN SEATTLE. If you like classic pepperoni, they got it. You want specialty? they got it. Meatballs? elite. Ceaser? Delicious. New pizza in First Hill is a must! As you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful bar and a friendly staff. Great spot to grab a bite, a drink and catch any sports on one of their 3 large TV's. The Lao pizza! It was amazing! The Khao Soi pork had a wonderful umami flavor that was baked on with the cheese around it. After you get hit with the flavors of the pork, the bamboo adds a bit of freshness for your next bite. I usually get tired of pizza crust but their dough was so fresh that it had crispness but yet also chewy on the inside! My friend had the chorizo and olive pizza with arugula. He loved it. Definitely a must try. Both pizza were amazing! I will definitely be back! read more

Live a few blocks away, had meant to go for a while but was holding off since it seemed a little expensive for pizza. Just went to today and I was very wrong. Best pizza I've had in Seattle. It was loaded up on pepperoni, and the crust was incredible. Solid hold while being thin, great chew while still being soft, with really good flavor. Nice color but not burnt anywhere. Can't wait to try some of their fancier/fun pizzas. I had take-out but inside it was much bigger than it looks from the outside, and has a really fun interior. Will definitely be getting a drink there soon. Also felt a little unsure where to go when I walked in but the bartender greeted me immediately and was very friendly. read more

We did not order one of their signature pizzas, and ordered their meat pizza. It was basically a Costco pepperoni pizza with bacon and ham, in taste and appearance. Got the caesar salad too, and Costco's is better. Very disappointing for $40. Here in Seattle and was enticed by good reviews on yelp and Google, and got let down. read more

Best lactose/dairy free pizza I've ever had. Try dipping your pizza in their homemade ranch ($2 a cup). Inside has cool lighting and good date spot. Drinks are solid, I recommend the tito's mule. read more

Cool little place. Service was excellent! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately they were out of mushrooms and I was really craving mushroom pizza. We ended up getting the Birds Eye hot honey pizza. It was good but it had a little too much honey. It tasted really sweet. I love hot honey and thought it would be really good. I think less is more with honey. Sad I missed out on the other pizza. read more

In town visiting for a conference and this was a close walk. We were overwhelmed with how good EVERYTHING was! The Magic Mario mushroom pizza was the best pizza I've ever had. Every bite I just kept saying, "this is so good, so good!". My husband also got a slice of the ananas pizza just to try and he liked that as well! We got a coconut sticky bun for dessert which I figured would be fine, but it was another "this is so good" moment! I can't say enough about the meal. We will definitely be back before leaving town! As I tried to get her attention, I felt like she repeatedly looked at me with annoyance and made me feel unwelcome. Rather than simply explaining the reservation policy herself, she went to get the manager instead. She had a problem with Hispanics. She refused to engaged at all. The way I was treated left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as someone who was genuinely excited to visit. A beautiful venue can only go so far when the hospitality doesn't match. I would have happily accepted that reservations were required if I had simply been treated with basic kindness and respect from the start. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the location itself is stunning, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, because of my interaction with the bartender I've added in the photos, I don't see myself returning. Sadly they have a Prejudice bartender.

Seattle's pizza scene has stepped up big time since 2017, and Ananas Pizzeria is proof. The name means 'pineapple,' though I still haven't tried their Hawaiian pie yet. But I did have their cheese and, for the first time ever, a cheeseburger pizza--and that thing was legit. The flavors are bold, fresh, and taste like they came straight out of New York. I haven't dined in yet, but from all accounts, the vibe is cool and that pineapple logo really pops. Plus, their direct delivery saves you from crazy third-party fees. Ananas is not a destination bar but it's a great neighborhood bar. I often stop in just as I'm passing by for a drink and a snack. The customers are the people in the neighbourhood. The drinks are pretty good and the pizza hits the spot and is New York style. BUT, and this is a big BUT...who is working makes all the difference. Some of their staff is friendly and personable while there is one woman behind the bar that is just short and rude (like tonight). I hope she leaves soon as they do seem to have a lot of turnover.
