Recently came here to treat myself to a birthday 90 minute lomilomi massage. Of all the resort spas on Kauai, this spa is far the best on Kauai, and I've been to many resort spas here. Top notch spa with tons of amenities to enjoy your day. I usually do the garden massage as the surroundings is lush and beautiful. I had Christina this time and she was fabulous, she gave me an excellent massage that was perfect in every way in pressure and technique. The only two issues was the hotel was working on the adjacent employee parking lot and there was alot of banging on metal. It was quite loud. They did give a all discount. Also my massage didn't have any music so I don't know if their music system was down. It was amazingly breezy with strong winds that made the trees rustle. It was beautiful. Enjoyed their private shower that was alittle hidden aways. I prefer it's privacy compared to the lava shower. They have new carpeting and new locks on their lockers. I think the lockers are new too. Also new towels. One thing is that they should have juice available all open hours. And snacks or food to purchase. Wish they had steps going into the pool. I don't like those vertical steps you have to climb up and down on. Looking forward to my next spa visit.

A serene oasis awaits you at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. To get to Anara requires a few twists and turns with arrows pointing you closer to Destination Relaxation. To be honest, the entire property is worthy of a walk-through. I recommend the lomi lomi, which is the closest form of Hawaiian deep tissue massage. My session, albeit brief, took place in a wooden hut in the middle of the gardens. Music filled the room with the rhythmic beat of a cascading waterfall. The Garden Isle certainly provides the perfect backdrop for a mental escape from the city. Ho'omaluhia at its best... My massage therapist Greg was fabulous. We hit it off immediately and he knew the perfect amount of pressure for all my tight spots. He performed techniques on my spine and hands that I haven't felt from any masseuse in my years of massage-searching. Impressive! The facilities are well stocked with all the toiletries you need. Excellent service, surely what you would expect for a hotel of this caliber. My only criticism is the jacuzzi that sits in the center of the men and women's lounge, with no shade from the sun or rain. It's a tragedy that there is no view to Kauai's gorgeous arboreal landscape. Def a missed mark in my book. My experience was a touch-n-go day trip, but I intend to return for a longer stay. Thank you Grand Hyatt and Anara for the beautiful memories!

On a recent girls trip to Kauai, my friends and I spent a day at the Grand Hyatt Resort's Anara Spa. We were blown away! Guests of the spa have the option to use the lap pool, steam and sauna rooms, jacuzzi and whirl pools with no time limits. I had the 100 minute Pineapple Papaya hydration. Body scrub followed by a relaxing massage. My spa treatment was done in the garden's private bungalow donning an outdoor shower and tub. By far, the most luxurious spa treatment I've ever had! After our treatments, we stayed behind using all of the Anara Spa's wonderful facilities. When you are in Poipu, do yourself a favor and book a spa day at the Grand Hyatt's Anara Spa!

Since we had a couple's massage, we were in a private outdoor area in the garden, which was absolutely serene.

The Poipu Beach Athletic Club is awesome…read more Background: We were staying in Kauai with our our group of 8 which consisted of 5 adults and 3 kids. We had a rental house in Poipu about 5 minutes from this facility. One of the perks of our rental was we had access to this facility for the duration of the stay. Our kids are twin 11 year olds and a 7 year old. I was a bit worried about not having the hotel facilities (pool) while staying in a rental house. That's why us having access to this place was so huge for our trip. We weren't here everyday, but having it as option was huge. Facilities: They have a pool with a waterslide, sandy beach area, gym facilities, athletic courts, and their own restaurant/bar. They also have poolside service for drinks and food. We ate at their restaurant the night we flew in as we were tired from the travel day. We let the kids swim then had dinner. Very convenient and the food was decent. Service: We had great service at the pool and restaurant/bar. Food/Drinks: Large selection of the usual tropical drinks. Decent selection of food. Food is good but not great. For the atmosphere though it will definitely get the job done. Prices are very reasonable for drinks. Think 11 or 12 where if you were at a resort probably closer to 20. Food Prices decent also. They had a great special on Mimosas on Saturday and Sunday during the day. Final Thoughts: This place definitely enhanced our trip immensely. We still hit the beach daily and did some activities around the island, but having this as an option was great. I would rent the same house again just because it came with access to this spot.

Kaua'i Athletic Club was exactly what we needed during our trip. The facility is clean,…read morewell-maintained, and surprisingly spacious, with a great mix of modern equipment and plenty of room to move around--even during busier times. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and quick to help with anything we needed, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. We especially appreciated how family-friendly and organized everything was. The locker rooms were spotless, the atmosphere was positive, and the overall energy of the gym made working out actually enjoyable. Whether you're looking for cardio, strength training, classes, or just a reliable place to stay active while on the island, Kaua'i Athletic Club is a perfect choice. He then had to ask if that meant he was kicked out to which she replied yes but "at least you had a good workout" in the most demeaning tone you could imagine. we had been walking around before that IN FRONT OF HER and she hadn't said a thing and there were other people there that were wearing slides in plane view, but for some reason she targeted my friend and his girlfriend and kicked them out AFTER we had paid. Overall super disappointed because we are both powerlifters and have never had this issue before definitely won't come back.
