The service was great and friendly, 5 star. This venue is also good for groups. I also like the ambiance. However, the cheese enchiladas were terrible. They were swimming in a pool of red amole sauce which I've never had and found sickeningly sweet. There were a few grains of white rice underneath them. And they did not come with refried beans. I ordered refried beans on the side and they tasted just like what I would get out of a can. The sauce for the chips wasn't that good. Tha margarita was just ok. Others in my group said the food was 'ok'. I noticed that their nacho plate looks completely different than what one would expect. A lady next to me ordered it. Really cool looking place. Would return strictly due to good vibes and stylish decor. Had to wait about 10 min for a 5:45 reservation. Not a big deal but not perfect. Chips and salsa upon being seated were fresh and bottomless. Ordered prickly pear margarita (pretty, kinda weak flavor), Pacifico, and horchata (son said was tasty). Took a bit for drinks to arrive. Ordered esquites (kind of like elote) to start, and that was a table pleaser. We ordered various tacos (pork belly, carnitas, crispy fish, crispy shrimp, salmon, cauliflower, etc.), and some were tastier than others. The batter on the crispy ones was very light, but all lacked some needed salt and acid. Our server was pleasant and attentive enough. The whole place seemed about 1.5 ticks away from being awesome. I constantly was driving past this location while on my way for other appointments and meetings. The place is new construction, and I noticed it always looked to be somewhat busy. I absolutely love any type of Latin food especially Mexican food. The moment that you walk in the restaurant is set up in a very new modern style. There are many tables so it could accommodate large crowds. There are some tables that are attached to large leather booths and couches. While looking over the menu, I saw some pretty standard fair but one thing that really caught my eye was they offering called the taco board. They offered for $57.99 every single one of their tacos that are all specialty tacos 14 and all to come out on one platter so you can taste of every single one of their taco offerings. I was there with my wife. I knew this would look absolutely ridiculous but I wanted to review this place thoroughly and leftovers I would bring home. They serve us some warm chips at the table. The salsa was mild so mild and my wife actually love that she is not a fan of spicy food. We sat and waited for about 15 minutes, our eyes nearly popped out of our head. a large platter the size of a ski holding 14 tacos started coming to our table. It was quite the spectacle. Everyone in the restaurant began to stare in point in fact, one patron came up to my table and said would you mind if I took a picture that it looks insane. I made my way with one bite of each taco sharing with my wife. My favorites were the fish tacos, the shrimp tacos the pork belly taco the Asada taco all were pretty much absolutely delicious. I can't say that I did not like one over another. we were able to polish off what accumulated to, about half of the tacos, but we were able to bite at least one per taco I would be excited to come back and try their other items on the menu. But it definitely gets my stamp of approval. I definitely say everyone should go check this place out. The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. I was really looking forward to eating here. I finally had the opportunity to go to Ancho on the Friday after Christmas. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I was alone and opted for a seat at the bar. I sat between two couples who had already ordered. A female server brought appetizers to the couple on my left and a few minutes later entrees to the couple on my right. She did not acknowledge me on either occasion. It was if I was invisible. I sat for a total of 30 minutes and finally decided to leave. It was about five pm when I arrived and while the place was busy, it certainly wasn't swamped. A zero star rating would have been more appropriate. read more

We wouldn't eat here again. It seemed cute and the menu had lots to offer, but it was dirty. The silverware and plates had food crusted on them. Some of us liked our food, others didn't. I know it's a higher end area but you can still have great authentic Mexican cuisine but this is far from that. Had a reservation, waited 20 minutes to be seated. Ordered jalapeño poppers that were ice cold in the middle. Chips and salsa were funky. We ordered 4 margaritas for the table and never got them after being seated for 20 minutes which was 45 minutes after our scheduled reservation. Heard mediocre reviews but we thought we'd try it out anyway and form our own opinion. Should have listened to the reviews. The chips were the only "warm" thing I had that night. Both my tacos were cold and my Sangria was pretty much bad red wine with lemon and lime rinds in it. Sangria is supposed to have fruit (edible) in it. I asked for some water chestnuts to accompany my Kung Pao taco as it was supposed to have, but didn't. By the time it came out, my taco was almost eaten. I have been to this location 3 times, but this was the most unsatisfying experience I have had. In fairness, I arrived an hour before they closed but... Not child/family friendly. I have had issues with bringing my child here to eat every time. Tonight was not different. Made a reservation including my child in the head count. When we arrived we waited and then a table became available. They placed us in the bar section in to high top? I asked if a high chair will work here.. they said no and that it wouldn't be allowed for her to be in one at this table. I said well this isn't going to work then. They said we could wait 30 more minutes for a table that would work... seriously?! They then moved us outside to the heated patio area. Which was okay until it became freezing. I was told that I would need to call ahead to accommodate a high chair in the future. Seriously?!? No other restaurants do this. Don't bring your children here. A fantastic meal from start to finish. Yummy chips and salsa, tacos were delicious and the Paloma I drank is my new favorite cocktail!! Way too expensive for the food you get. A fish taco was $5. The protein was less than half the size of the tortilla and had no flavor, as well as the slaw on it too. The "smoked" pork belly quesadilla was extremely salty and didn't taste of smoke at all. Some of the pieces of pork were tender but most were dry and tough. Our waitress didnt come check on us after our food was delivered and it took all night for a refill which has to be requested. The house salsa was very bland. The first bowl of chips had no flavor to them and we had to add salt to the salsa. But then our next bowl of chips had the complete opposite amount of salt. The bartender made a mistake with the glass my margarita was served in (sugar rim vs salt) and she didn't take my drink away to fix it, she just brought the correct glass over and poured it in the right glass. I checked in at the front desk with someone who looked like a manager for our 5pm reservation. I told them my name, and mentioned that I had my baby as one of the 4 people in our reservation. In a passive aggressive way, the manager told me that next time I should let them know that the reservation included a baby in the total number. (I assume so they can prepare ahead of time? Although, the restaurant wasn't busy at all at that time. And I've never had to do this at any other restaurant with my children). This comment and attitude really soured the overall experience, and really didn't create welcoming environment from the getgo. Terrible service as I had to ask for a wedge of lime 4 times and chips are made only with salt early in the morning. No wonder chips were stale at 2pm! We did not like the very loud pop music. Not a Mexican restaurant vibe at all. The menu does not include any sides, adding to cost. Tacos are small street tacos. I had the Baja Fish and AL Pastor. The fish was tasty but way too salty. Why add that much salt? Use spice instead. The AL Pastor had the tiniest portion inside the taco. Their Bean Soup was good. My friend ordered a side of rice and said it was inedible. Others liked the Taco Salad and Quesadilas. So, a mixed bag. Even though the place wasn't busy, our burritos and queso dip came out cold. The "house" salsa had such an unpleasant taste it felt like a trick to get you to buy their other equally bad salsa.
