Yes for the location, the beautiful decor, and some of the food. It's not the most authentic restaurant, it has its own flavors, nothing that amazing, they are trying too hard with certain dishes but missing the authentic seasonings that already give dishes all the flavor. This place is awesome! Made a reservation for 8, including 4 kids 4 adults. Arrived at 5:15pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. Glad we had a reservation! The high ceilings and decor make for a fun ambiance without having to shout to be heard. We each tried a margarita and loved them. Lightning fast, like 2-3 minutes from order we had our drinks, wow! My wife and I split a mixed fajita with shrimp and steak. Delish! Our friends got tacos and an empanada special which they all enjoyed. Kids all got kids meals, no complaints! They all got the kids churro ice cream dessert which was awesome and fun to eat. One of the best parts is the value! My friend and I took guesses on the bill. I said $225. He guessed $250. Came in at $177. How often does that happen? $22 a person including drinks, meals, and tax. Not sure if you could get out of Chipotle for that. Fun night, we'll be back! read more

We were excited to try out this new restaurant. The decor is fun and the music is upbeat but not too loud. The sofa area at the front of the restaurant is super cute with cheerful pillows and comfy seating arrangements. The chips are hot and fresh but the salsa is a bit odd - not to our liking. We ordered a side of green salsa then - also not great. The server brought our party, which consisted of three people, two plates of food that he put down on our table that were intended for another table. He took them away and went back to the kitchen then brought them back out to the table next to us. I felt bad for those diners. When our three plates of food came out of the kitchen - two of the three orders were wrong and had to be remade. One we could tell immediately and sent it back right away. The other one we didn't realize until the burrito was cut into. We then waited a good 5-10 minutes before we could get anyone's attention to send it back. We basically ate in stages. The steak and chicken burrito was served in a pool of inedible sauce. Plus it was just a tad warmer than room temp. The chicken enchilada had the same funky sauce but it wasn't swimming in the sauce and the enchilada was super hot temp wise which was nice. It was the one dish that came out of the kitchen correct. We were never offered chips or drink refills. Server was slow and inattentive and no apologies for the staggered service. She was pleasant when we had her attention. They took over 10 minutes to bring the bill after we asked for it. I think the server wrote our table off after two of the three meals were wrong. Ironically, we would have still tipped 20% because the server can't be held accountable for kitchen mistakes and stuff happens. But we reduced the tip to 15% after we were consistently avoided / ignored. The bill was $75 before tip for three meals with one extra salsa and no alcohol (2 sodas and a coffee and no appetizer and no dessert) Sooooo..... wondering what the next type of restaurant will be in this space a year from now cuz subpar food and poor service doesn't bode well. read more

The food was delicious especially loved the steak and chicken bowl with black beans and queso. The margarita was perfectly mixed. The environment was great with the music loud enough to hear but not so loud it interrupts conversation at the table. The service from Caitlyn was superior. Brand spanking new & crowded on a Tuesday night. Very large attractive space. Noisy but because we sat against a wall in a padded type booth, we actually could hear one another talk. Three of us tried different house, margaritas, mine was a jalapeño and quite good with a kick. One of us had beer we started with a trio of different guacamole. The chips were pretty boring. I ordered two tacos, one Nashville hot chicken and one pork belly. Five dollars each. Two bites each. Good/not great. One person had shrimp and steak fajitas, one had tacos - I don't know what kind. One I don't remember at all. This place feels very corporate. It does not feel like an authentic Mexican restaurant. If you are in the area of Deer Park, I highly suggest La Hacienda which is far more authentic and you get a lot more for your $$. read more

The steak was over cooked and dry although they do give you plenty of veggies. The chicken was ok but the flavoring was just off. The queso is gritty. The service was not great. The carafe of water was not refilled the whole service. Overall, not impressed and I can tell this place won't be around long. There are too many good authentic places within 20 mins. Underwhelmed! I was expecting much more since this is the same owner group as Biaggi's and we love Biaggi's! Unfortunately, Ancho & Agave is a complete miss. The service was soooo slow. Considering it is a new restaurant, it could be expected, but we arrived at 5:30pm and the restaurant was fairly empty - no excuses. It took forever to just get our appetizer of guacamole. The guacamole is fair to poor with nothing special about it. It almost tasted out of a bag versus homemade chunky. I did like the crisp tortilla chips served with the guacamole and salsa. The salsa had a nice smoky flavor, but there was an underlying store bought flavor (think Pace Salsa), that made it very ordinary. My wife found the Skinny Margarita very lacking! I ordered a glass of Malbec...bad. Again, the service was so slow! We were constantly asked if we were ready to order our entrees when they never even brought the guacamole. Once they did bring the guacamole, there were no chips left and we had to ask for additional chips (not very attentive to the table's needs). The entrees were below average! They say they are proud of their tacos, but they were mediocre at best...no flavor, small, flavorless and not interesting. If you want a good authentic taco go toTaco Guanajuato down the road. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Do not order the shrimp fajitas, unless you like small undersized shrimp (I've seen bigger shrimp come out of a can), for $22.75 with a lack for grilled veggies. The sides like guacamole come in small containers that maybe hold a tablespoon of uninteresting guacamole (I am really starting to wonder if they make it in-house), sour cream, and some queso cheese. Also a very small portion for you what you normally receive at a typical Mexican Restaurant (especially on the grilled veggies). Needless to say I will not be back, but I do hope the ownership group reads these comments and adjusts their menu, staff and kitchen. First time at the restaurant and we bought our son and family with our grandson. The service we had was the worst and our server never came Back to check to see if we wanted anything additional. We were seated at five o'clock and didn't receive our Food till after 6. I would of thought the Server would have informed us of any Delay, the food we received looked Like it had been sitting for awhile. We Really wanted to like the restaurant however we left with a bad impression. I must say the Server was not friendly and made me feel uncomfortable. We Had to hunt her down to get our check. She never asked if anyone wanted dessert. The other concern was with the tables being so close and the music so loud that you couldn't have a normal conversation. Always wanted to try this place and decided to try it today, service was mediocre the ambiance was gorgeous on the other hand. Food was not great at all, seems like they just threw every spice they could onto it. Taco salad was so spicy and drenched in salsas tacos were okay but again so many flavors happening at once could barely taste what I was bitting into. Checked out the new A&A restaurant in Deer Park last night but left disappointed with the quality of the food and drinks. We opted to try the signature margaritas but they turned out to be mostly ice and seemed watered down. The complimentary chips and salsa were served warm but they were rather thick and heavy vs light and crisp a d taken away promptly without asking once the main food arrived. We both ordered samplings of tacos from the menu which all sounded delicious but when the food was placed in front of us you couldn't even tell what the items were. One of my husband's tacos was completely not what he ordered and my first one which was the Baja fish taco was completely bland, under salted, and lacking flavor. The second one was the kung pao chicken and the chicken portion was tiny and the taco overall just tasted like salt. My husband tried the sweet potato taco and the steak asada taco after being the wrong taco and he was very underwhelmed with his as well and was really turned off when he bit into the steak asada taco and it had cold - not cool but cold sauce on it. Our waitress also was disappointing and actually rolled her eyes when we pointed out the wrong dish had been brought to the table. Perhaps there are just kinks to be filled out but being a foodie and an accomplished home chef I feel there are better options for quality Mexican food out there so not feeling this place measured up to the hype we had heard about it. I swore never to come here after my first experience last year when I got my meal remade several times and it was cold each time and had to go next door to eat but was with a group of people and they chose. My soup again was barely room temp and Taco was also barely room temp. Their salsa is very bitter and sangria had chopped limes and lemons with peels! Usually you can eat fruit in a sangria but try eating lemon and lime peels! Their food is subpar to begin with, nothing had a great flavor. The only good thing is the atmosphere and the chips. The Ambiance is Fantastic! Servers and staff were great. Friendly and attentive. The disappointment came with the food. So much that yesterday we wanted to go back because it's a fun place but the food had us going to Fat Rosie's instead. I ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was extremely disappointing. They were really little shrimp and did even seem deveined. I can't eat non deveined shrimp. That was gross. The Chicken was not chicken breast that you normally get with chicken fajitas. My wife could not eat that. Also had steak tacos, and the steak was mediocre. So for all the money they spent on the ambiance and the building; I suggest, they upgrade the food! Ordered drinks and after a few more minutes we found ou that they did not have the white sangria that was on the menu. Came to find out the white wine order didn't come in. :( Ordered some chips salsa and regular guacamole. Chips are very good salsa too. The guacamole was good too but we had frozen large chunks of avocado in there. Avocado chunks are always good, except if they're frozen. Could be cause it's new. I've been here several times since it opened and have had a great experience every time! Love the Tex-Mex style food, but my favorite dishes are the nachos and Birria Tacos! There's usually a wait when we've gone, which is a good sign, but the bar and cute waiting area are awesome for grabbing a drink and hanging out beforehand! Insane, I can't believe this place just opened and runs so smoothly. I've dined here twice and both times the hosts were welcoming, food came promptly, and the drinks were great. There was a slight wait but it gave us an opportunity to grab a spicy margarita at the bar, huge win! They also have a cute lounge for taking pictures or just relaxing. Two visits -great food, super service, lovely decor but undrinkable cocktails. First time, the margaritas were unlike any margarita ever, nobody at our table liked them. Second time we tried Mai Tais, again just awful. As soon as I saw the brown color of the drink I knew it was a problem. We complained and server was apologetic but didn't offer a solution. I suggested she add simple syrup to the drinks and that did make them drinkable but not enjoyable. Such a shame because I love the street tacos! read more

This is possibly one of the worst meals that I've had in a restaurant. We were eager to try this and went for my birthday. I think the only thing that we all liked was the iced Horchata coffee. It ended there. One of the appetizers we ordered, the esquites, was oily. The guacamole was watery. We asked for the jalapeño peppers on the side and they said they couldn't do that because it was already mixed in. It was premade; it was not fresh. I had the fajitas, which were the worst fajitas I ever had. They did not serve them with shredded cheese or lettuce. You had to pay extra for guacamole and sour cream, which I can understand except they gave you about a tablespoon of each. They served about a tablespoon of pico de gallo with them. The flour tortillas were stiff. There were no rice or refried beans served with them- you had to order them extra as a pricey side dish. The steak in my daughter's steak enchiladas was dry. My son and daughter-in-law did not like their enchiladas at all. They were served with mole sauce on them (which the menu does not state) and they said the mole sauce tasted bad. I ordered the Tres Leches cake and it was saturated with caramel sauce that was so strong that it completely took away the taste of the creamy milky taste that I associate with this cake. When I got the bill, there was seven dollars of added charges. One I was aware of was the tablespoon of sour cream for the fajitas. The other six dollars must've been for the shredded cheese I asked for for the fajitas, however, The waitress did not tell us there would be an extra charge, and I do prefer it when they mention that. At any rate, I was not expecting a six dollar charge for that amount of cheese. They don't do anything for birthdays, unless you order a dessert and even then they serve it to you with a candle on it and walk away. Not that I am particularly fun of the rowdy birthday songs, but it does feel more like a celebration. All in all, none of us enjoyed the meal, as a matter of fact it left me nauseated. read more
