When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.

Instead of paying the regular $20-$30 per tasting, we paid $20-$30 for two of us! Highly recommend if you're planning a tasting week or weekend. Still Waters was our first stop, and it ended up being one of my favorites of the trip. The hostess was so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We sat outside on a gorgeous day, and she brought each tastings right to us without ever making us feel rushed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, peaceful and serene. There's a little back house (now mainly used as a bridal prep space for weddings) and lovely water barrel fountains that really add to the ambiance. Both the whites and reds were excellent. So good that I didn't even need a spit bucket. I would absolutely recommend Still Waters and would happily return on my next Paso Robles visit.

I think my wife was happy with the experience. We were able to have a live band in the carriage house, and they have lots of connections with local caterers and bar services, so planning was pretty simple. Staff helped me put things together with check ins six months ahead of time and a few months out. They help you troubleshoot things like sound and table arrangement. They've got years of experience putting on weddings, and it shows. That alone was comforting.

The landscape is embarrassing and unkempt. Granted, there are a few kool old cars and antiques, but unless you want to walk around in a dusty environment, it is not worth it to me. Also, the caterer ran out of food before the tenth table and I think there were at least twelve. On the positive side, the staff was friendly to the guests.

My wife and I recently stayed here for our honeymoon and we can't wait to go back!…read more We booked the Crete room which is one of the studio suites. It's self contained with a full bathroom, a mini fridge and microwave, and a fireplace. It was a very spacious room with a private balcony that offered stunning panoramic vineyard views. The resort is themed like somewhere you'd find in Greece and it really feels like you're far away from home. They were so nice as well with any issues we had. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon! There's a tasting room nearby where you can sample their wines or purchase bottles, snacks, gifts, etc. Guests get a complimentary glass of wine for staying with them. The resort isn't very far from downtown Paso Robles, only a short 10 minute drive. They don't have a restaurant on site but you can get breakfast just make sure to let them know ahead of time, at least the previous evening before 7pm. We'll definitely be coming back for our anniversary or just a random trip to Paso!
