My Samsung washer was really messed up. It was difficult to diagnose because it had to be taken apart to find all that was wrong with it. It even required that parts be taken back to the shop because they couldn't be repaired in the field. Once all that was fixed and new parts are placed including the seals barrel supports, the plastic shroud covering the barrel and motor shaft, a difficult repair the washer runs brand new. I never thought this thing could be fixed based on what I saw but the technician did it. Marvelous job. With my home warranty it saved me hundreds of dollars. Absolutely terrible experience. We opened a claim through our home warranty because we thought our fridge was failing. Before the appointment date, we realized the issue was resolved, so I called Ancient Services and canceled the technician well in advance. No one ever came to our home. No services were performed. Despite that, they charged the $100 service fee upfront and told us it would be refunded in a couple of days. My home warranty company confirmed the work order was canceled and closed the claim -- again, without any technician ever showing up. Ancient Services never issued the refund. When I disputed the charge with my bank, they claimed they had a signed invoice, which is impossible because no technician ever came to our home. This behavior is extremely dishonest and slimy. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Extremely shady business practices. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I recently engaged Ancient Service for two separate service calls related to my gas dryer. During the second visit, which occurred 75 days after the initial service in December 2025, I was assured that the same technician would be dispatched to review and address the recurring issue. Unfortunately, this did not happen; instead, a different technician was sent who spoke very little English, making communication challenging and leaving me uncertain about the nature of the work performed. Since then, I have left several messages requesting a callback from a supervisor to discuss the repair and clarify what was actually fixed. The recently replaced parts had already been changed during the previous service, raising concerns about a potentially undiagnosed underlying issue or the use of inferior parts that failed in less than 90 days. Given my experience, which aligns with their current one-star rating on Yelp, I cannot recommend Ancient Service and will not be using their services in the future. read more

This company was called out by my warranty company, American home shield, and after three visits to my house they told me my refrigerator was not fixable and they were going to recommend a new refrigerator. Long story short, they never recommended that to my warranty company so my warranty company is telling me now that I have to defrost my refrigerator for 24 hours which would make me lose about $500 worth of food and I'm not willing to do that. So ancient service is a horrible company because the technician told me to my face my refrigerator was not fixable (after calling GE to confirm ) and they walked out and gave a different report to the warranty company. I am canceling my warranty company and I would absolutely not recommend ancient service to anyone. read more

They were dispatched by AHS. They sent a nice young (and inexperience) man driving a sedan to repair my microwave and refrigerator leak. He didn't know how to remove the Microwave. I had to tell him there was a release lever. He was able to repair the microwave but had to return two more times to repair the refrigerator leak because they don't allow him to carry parts. So it took over a month to repair the refrigerator leak. read more

Second time they told me it was installed incorrectly which they've already had it out once the third time they canceled the appointment. In mid Feb, my home warranty dispatched this company to repair my washer. The first time, the technician, who seemed unskilled, said that he needed to order replacement parts because he couldn't fix it. Upon receiving the replacement part, he came out again to complete the work. Again, he could not repair it and said he needed a different part. Upon receiving that part, he came out again (3 times in total) and, after several minutes, seemed unable to resolve the issue. He spoke in a whisper to his supervisor on the phone, asking for help with troubleshooting. After getting off the phone and taking another minute or two to work on the washer, he informed me that it was now working, and I should wait 24 hours to allow it to reset before plugging it in for use (this response seemed ridiculous, but I humored him nonetheless). I waited 24 hours, plugged the unit in, and the display screen was blank, and the washer made a clicking noise. It is now almost the end of March, and I am STILL without a washer, and I am battling with the warranty people to get the issue resolved. These people are completely incompetent. I unfortunately was sent these guys through my home warranty. The guy who came out, didn't speak English so it was hard to describe what was wrong. He tried over a month to fix different things but to no avail. The home warranty wanted to send them out for a third try to pay for someone else who quickly came said everything they did was wrong and issue right away. Good luck if you get them. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I was told on 23 Dec my dishwasher likely needed a new motherboard. After 2 service appointments and 20 days without a dishwasher the part was ordered on 12 Jan. The company will not allow me to make another appointment to install the motherboard until the part comes in 19 Jan. We will go over a month without a working dishwasher. No supervisor available via phone, they say you have to email them and they'll call back at their convenience. read more

Worse company ever. I am canceling my home warranty with AHS because of their use of this company paid for a noncovered service fee and they never fixed my refrigerator when I try to call them my phone number comes up on the caller ID so they pick up the phone and hang it up so as not to answer. Then call from my husband's phone and they answer and then when they realize it's me, they hang up again. They refuse to get back to AHS regarding the non-covered part and why they have not fixed it yet. Seriously worst company ever do not use them. Avoid them at all costs. I had a home warranty with American Home shield. Terrible company. I will be canceling my plan with them again. They sent this useless repair company to my house to fix my fridge. They took for ever to get the parts and then said my fridge was fixed. 35 days later I'm having the same issue and they want me to pay again because it's over 30 days. The fridge doesn't freeze in one day. I would not recommend this company or American home shield to anyone. read more

This company has been to my home four times and things get worse and worse. The biggest problem is they literally said they noticed a problem with the fridge but said they didn't think it would matter. I went from a slow leak on the floor from a clogged drain hose to water pouring out of the water dispenser and guess what, they NEVER answer the phone. They are impossible to get ahold of outside of the warranty company who wants me to call them before scheduling another service call. My dishwasher started making noises. I checked the filter and found two screws and a piece of metal. My Lowes protection plan that we paid $129.97. For referred me to this company, I saved the screws and piece of metal to show the technician. He ran some test on our dishwasher and said that it needed a new pump and their company would reach out to us in 3 to 5 days a day and a half later I received an email saying that the technician found the screws and piece of metal in our dishwasher and that our claim was now invalid because of misuse and damage by us which was an accurate. I called ancient service to have them update their paperwork and speak to the technician and they said they would. I still haven't had our dishwasher repaired and it's less than two years old and I filed multiple dispute emails as they told me to do to get it repaired. It is now October 3 and still it has not been repaired. It seems like the protection plan through Lowe's is a scam. All their phone numbers are automated and direct you to their website to file a claim, you can only chat through the website. I called Lowes spoke to the manager Brian there who seemed like you could care less. He gave me a phone number to call which is the same phone number that just takes you to their website and he told me that their system only goes back six months so they are unable to locate our dishwasher purse purchase even though I have the receipt and all the paperwork maybe they assume that most people won't keep any of that stuff and they just can keep the Lowe's protection plan. Do not purchase a protection plan from Lowes and do not use this company looking at all the other comments. It seems that it all is a scam. read more

MY warranty company hired them to repair my ice maker in the refrigerator and their technician came to looked at it and turned the temperature down. The next day he sent a report to FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY stating there is nothing wrong with the refrigerator so the warranty is not repairing it! One of the worst experiences of my life. My warranty company contracted this company to fix my refrigerator. It has been a month and the technician has been to my house 4 times and has literally said he cant fix it. He said to me this last time he would report it cant be fixed and a replacement for the fridge would be recommended. That didnt happen and I dont really have anything I can do. American Home Shield is my warranty company and it seems clear they are working together to not replace my fridge and make me go away. I have a family of 5 and 2 kids under 2 and these people have been torturing us. I get a reasonable effort to fix the fridge but this is blatant abuse from both Ancient Service and American Home Shield. I am amazed these companies have the ability to get away with this and there is zero protection from the consumer. I have spent $300 on ice living out of coolers the last month and still no sign my fridge will ever be replaced or fixed. Criminal. read more
