    Crab roe over rice
    Jaylene L.

Great spot with solid flavors across the board. The pan-fried dumplings are a must--crispy on the bottom and juicy inside. The curry beef pot stickers really stand out, packed with rich curry flavor and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend the chicken and crab roe served over rice or noodles--the crab roe adds an extra layer of umami that makes the dish feel indulgent without being heavy. Definitely worth coming back for these dishes!

Horrible service and full of trash waiters here. No one is taking care of us even we are waiting for more than 45minutes. Only three people in the restaurant include all the staff in the back and they can't hold more than 5 tables. Don't know how to open a restaurant without enough people.

I'm originally from Shanghai, China, and xiaolongbao is my favorite dish. I've tried it everywhere, and this place has the best crab xiaolongbao in California.

A friend recommended this local XLB / Shanghainese restaurant located at Chino Hills, California. Please make sure to make reservation or you have to wait 20-30 minutes. The restaurant offers buns and Shanghai style cuisines and it is popular with locals. It is a modern Chinese restaurant. However, they have limited staff only two people managing the whole front of restaurant. They are friendly. We have a party of four with adults and 2 kids. We order crab XLB (juicy, soup inside, sweet, and yummy), pan fried crab & pork bun (juicy, soup, sweet, and tasty), deep fried salt & pepper pork tastes like pop corn chicken! And Shanghai shredded pork fried thick noodles is savory, sweet, and not too salty. Overall the food is good for Shanghai style dishes like XLB, buns, except for the fried salt and pepper pork is off.

If you're looking for tasty Shanghainese cuisine in the Chino area this one of the few options. It's located in a very random strip mall in the corner near Turner's Sporting Goods. So there is plenty of parking in the huge lot. The restaurant itself is a large size but for some reason they decided to close half of it. Likely from staff shortages, at least when we came here for lunch over the weekend. They do speak english for the non-mandarin speakers but it absolutely helps if you do speak native or bring your friend to help order. The menu is very classic Shanghai foods with popular XLB items and stir fry and large table dishes. If you don't know Shanghainese foods are sweeter in profile. Note the service here is not great as with many HK/Shanghai restaurants but it's almost expected you need to be aggressive to get any service. We got the pan fried pork baos. These were super delicious and one of the best in the SGV area for sure. The bottom is perfectly crispy without being burnt, and it's filled with super HOT juice so be careful with your first bite or the the juice WILL spray out and potentially burn yourself. The safe way is to bite a small hole and drain some of the juice into the soup spoon they gave you. Don't say you didn't get warned or sue them for burning your own mouth lol. The meat filling is well seasoned and pairs well with the black vinegar. The cold Shanghai style shredded chicken with house special chili sauce is a very classic side dish. The paired chili sauce is delicious with the good amount of sweet and savoriness of the soy. You do have the option of a spicy vs non spicy version. The boiled chicken is served ice cold and super tender. Yes the meat itself is only very lightly seasoned so you must use the dipping sauce. Yes you can pour the entire sauce onto the dish if you so desire too. The final dish we got was Kung Pao Chicken as a measurement of the chef. This version was very heavy on the diced white onion but very tasty. They do skimp abit on the chicken vs the veggie ratio. So overall the dish itself looks abit unbalanced since all you see is bell pepper/onions. Like where's the chicken? The sauce is tasty but just ok. They did finish it with a classic splash of black vinegar as you can taste it but just enough sweetness/soy. Overall a good place for a variety of Shanghai style foods or just to come for your XLB, pan fried baos. We will be back again to try other items.

Food was really good and the portions were decently sized. We left with a full belly! Our favorite item on the menu was the braised beef noodle! Very delicious especially when it's cold outside. The interior is a bit empty but the service was very quick and everyone was friendly!

I'm surprised that their food are pretty good. We ordered sheng jian bao, xie fen lao main, drunken chicken, xue li hong. They are all pretty good. Customer service are very good too. The servers are friendly and willing to help you. I recommend it.

When we entered the restaurant at around 12:30pm I was surprised to see many chairs still left upside down on a few tables. Kind of gives an off feeling that the restaurant is not ready for business. The few staff that are there are nice and friendly. The Pork XLB dumplings were excellent! I ordered a 2nd order as everyone enjoyed it. The Fatty pork with eggs was tasty, the dry noodle with green onions are also good, the sticky rice with shrimp Siomai is so-so. Their Beef fried rice is also so-so. Our first experience having a Shanghai dim sum cuisine. The restaurant is clean.

Authentic Shanghai flavor. Xiao long bao is really yummy (the dough is very thin!) Reservation is required. Highly recommend this place.

They have since expanded to San Gabriel, Chino Hills, Monrovia. Chino Hills location is the newer one with modern decor, clean and seems to offer more items. It offers plenty of seats. Service is friendly, but they are very shorthanded. The kitchen and counter will have to help clean up. It's around 9am, I ordered iced soy milk which is premade, you just grab from refrigerator. It tastes good, but fairly standard. I think hot is the way to go for fresh ones. And for breakfast I picked salty rice ball with pickled vegetable; for $7.50 this is more traditional type. And more expensive. It's wrapped with soft and warm glutinous rice, crispy chinese donuts, pork floss, preserved mustard greens(extra cost), preserved radish. Taste is more savory. They offer and push for purple rice type, I will try it next time. My suggestions are to install order kiosks at all locations. And have help with cleanup and other tasks of location is busy. I didn't have picture of inside with tables as the tables are still not clean yet except for my tiny table.

Intoxicating, mouth watering aromas from the kitchen, I am impatient and cannot wait for the dishes to arrive at my table. This is my fifth time coming here alone and with friends. I've never had an issue with the wait or the service. Everything is tip notch and I just absolutely love this restaurant. Today I ordered, the green beans and it's simply the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of salt and garlic, and what a crunch. The hot and sour soup, authentic and better than Chinatown. It's salty, spicy, vinegary, bamboo shoots was crushy too. The roasted duck was spectacular, crunchy skin and flavorful meat. Perfect seasoning. The orange chicken is a must. Crunchy and so so tasty. Every chicken pieces were crunchy and no bad pieces in this batch. This is not your panda Express orange chicken or Panda Inn, this is your Mr Chows Beverly hills orange chicken. The quality is un-matched. I don't know what these noodles are but they are crunch and delicious. I am so satisfied, and I also love the prices too, very good for this quality.
