I really wanted to like this place, I've been following for a while on social media and everything always looks so good. That start you off with bread and it wasn't great at all. The fried calamari was really good, definitely recommend that. Baked pasta was perfect nice and cheesy. Steaks were really tasty and they served some sauce on the side. Our server seemed to also be assigned to the bar so it made our service very slow. This really impacted the review, food took forever to come out, and we couldn't order drinks.

    Stuffed Mushrooms - delish!

Super unassuming location that is well worth the visit! Always looking for gluten free options for a friend of mine who has GF sensitivities. Great to see Andrew's Bistro offer both GF pasta and pizza crust! It was a Wed night so didn't think we needed a reservation, the place was a third full when we got there. Sweet, intimate and welcoming atmosphere The focaccia bread basket was a nice start to the evening along with our drinks - would be great if they had a GF bread option as well, but I understand supply and demand =) We started with the stuffed mushrooms that were very tasty, I can't do shellfish so always appreciate when I can find a stuffed mushroom that isn't seafood stuffed. The star of the show was my chicken parm - I requested it to be doused in the pink vodka sauce along with fresh fusilli pasta. This was one of the best renditions of pink vodka chicken parm I've had - absolutely delicious and is what will make me come back!! Our waiter Tait was amazing! There was snafu with my order and he was sweet and comped our appetizer which was not necessary at all but greatly appreciated. It shows how much they truly value the customer experience (just remember to always tip on the full amount!). I brought leftovers home and reheated, was still really good! Can't wait to be back!

Espresso Martini. Fresh pressed Espresso to start these delicious Martinis

Lil recap on dinner last night at @andrewsbistro in Cumberland RI. From the fresh pressed Espresso martinis to the Caprese , The melt in your mouth Pork-belly on a bed of Creamy Polenta with a hint of Nutmeg and Cranberry sauce. On to the Chicken Francaise - Chicken medallions dipped in egg batter and sautéed in a lemon butter sauce. Served with choice of pasta or bistro potatoes and vegetables.. and the Chicken Di Carlo - Tender chicken sautéed in garlic, shallots and white wine with crimini mushrooms, cream and mozzarella cheese. Seasoned with thyme and rosemary. Served over rigaton.. Of course gotta end with the Pumpkin Crème Brûlée.. Benny, thank you for the great service... Always great to see the crew !! #solotravelereats #italianfood #foodie #foodporn #foodblogger

The restaurant itself has plenty of parking (and plenty of entrances). We went on a Tuesday night and had no wait for a booth. We were then sat and offered some complimentary bread and oil. I liked the bread- it was nice and crispy but not break your teeth hard. The oil was a little bland but free is for me. Our waiter was fine- not the most attentive but he got the job done. I ordered the chicken Rossini and my significant other had the chicken genovese. I really liked the Rossini. The price was fair for the amount of food you were given and the white wine sauce was very flavorful. I'd recommend this dish. What I wouldn't recommend is my partner's genovese. The dish had what looked like a quarter of a cup of oil at the bottom. I know it's pesto but no one realistically wants that much oil. Overall, did La Familia blow me away? No. But id consider giving it another shot at some point down the line.

They also have a wheelchair ramp, so it's accessible. Service was good. Food: I wish the oil for the bread didn't just tasted like olive oil. my pesto pasta had ENTIRELY too much oil, pictured in review, like literally drowning in it. Shrimp special was good. Mocktail was one note, but I like that they offer it. Did not get dessert. I would go back and try something else on the menu.

However, the interior itself is beautiful and I enjoyed our seating arrangements. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you choose to go. We started with complimentary bread and butter. Not my favorite complimentary bread- I found it dry and not cut very well. However, free is free! My iced tea with mango was very good though. I definitely recommend some of their flavor shots and as a helpful hint- their refills are not free. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. The wait time was long (around 45 minutes) but not unpleasant. Our waitress was apologetic but I didn't find the wait to be incredibly egregious. When the food did come out I have to say it was some of the best Alfredo I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, pasta was cooked well, and the Alfredo was creamy and perfectly thick. Almost like an Alfredo Mac and cheese. They're not giving the food away and I do think some portion sizes could be more generous for the price point. However, my dish was exceptional and our waitress was very kind so I have no issue with giving Pat's a 4 star ranking.

I've been dying to try this restaurant after seeing reviews and finding out it's chef owned (yes!)…read more We had reservations on a recent Saturday afternoon at 3pm. The restaurant is small (only seats 48) so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, there wasn't very many people while we were there so I'm not sure how loud it gets when busy. They have a full bar so I ordered a drink and my husband loves his craft beers and they had a few (but he always prefers if they have a beer menu so he can read the beer description). For appetizers we ordered shrimp cocktail and the meatball. The shrimp and sauce were delicious, and the meatball was HUGE (we almost could have a meal with that!!! The meatball came with lots of sauce and ricotta with 2 toasted bread slices (we devoured every bit!). For dinner we shared 2 entrees, we got the seafood casserole which came with choice of side (we picked baked potato) and a vegetable medley, and the southern fried pork chops that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The food was so delicious we ate what we could and had to bring food home. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was one of the best places we've tried in a while. We eat out at least weekly and most places we don't go back for a second visit, but Lucky Dog Tavern will definitely stay on our rotation of places we love.

Recently I became somewhat of a regular because the food and the service here is impeccable. Tonight, critically acclaimed server turned bartender Lilly, suggested that I try to Sausage and Bean Soup. Not only does she rank amongst the top three servers I have ever had in my entire life but she was 100% right about the Sausage and Bean soup. Get your car drive to Lucky Dog Tavern and all the time you're on your way there cross your fingers that the Sausage and Bean Soup is on the menu. It was beyond excellent. Just a giant mouthful of flavors expertly orchestrated. Otherwise, It's a gigantic gigantic menu but if the Sausage & Bean Soup is on the special absolutely have it. Take one home with you too. Before I forget to tell you everything on the menu is pretty excellent. But, Just for the record, I skipped over the lasagna. Have I ever lied to you!?

As with any trattoria, the bread and olive oil are a must--and it was absolutely heavenly. Honestly, I could've made a meal out of just that. I love the decor, deli, and the bar. It's a nice addition but I feel as though it does make the restaurant a little cramped. I stopped in last night with my partner and my dad. We had Ryan for a waiter and I think he was spread a little too thin as I had seen him behind the bar the whole night. He was by no means rude and clearly busy but it definitely seemed as though he didn't check in as much as he could have. As for the food itself it's always been nice. Not stellar and by far not my favorite Italian places but serviceable. The prices are borderline reasonable to pricey, with my meal being $25. I would say $25 is a little steep for two pieces of chicken. However, the portions are gracious enough to leave you full but not bursting and the food always does taste fresh. My Chicken Sorrentino was good but I didn't get a lot of prosciutto which was disappointing. I'll keep coming here because it's close but if you want amazing Italian food try Federal Hill in Providence.
