Came here tonight with 3 friends! And boy oh boy we loved it!!! Everything we ordered was delicious!!! The roasted goat cheese Bruchetta was my favorite apps! Along with seafood tower perfect for table share! I enjoyed a lobster ravioli for dinner and my friend's dishes were also delicious! Happy the menu caters to more than just Italian food so if you're like me that loves options this is the place to go!!!! Andrew was our server and he was right on!!!! Chris the manager checked in on us a few times you can tell this guy believes in his business and cares for his customers!!! Def recommend this place! By the way the coconut dessert is delicious!!! I was so impressed tonight!! I had a really good red sangria .. fresh warm Italian bread .. Portuguese style calamari .. chicken parmigiana which had amazing flavor! I loved the tomato sauce! My husband got chicken marsala. Brought home a chocolate cake which the waiter mentioned it was new and hands down it was the best chocolate cake I've ever had!! I've only been once for an early dinner but I was very happy with my experience. The service was friendly, efficient and accurate. Our server offered her suggestions, which is always nice. We were at a table near the bar and in a party of 4. Everyone enjoyed their food. I personally ordered a flatbread pizza - don't recall the name but it was chicken with avocado dressing of some kind. It was delicious!! I ate more than I should have of it. Prices are reasonable. Location is the only reason I can't give 5 stars. The strip mall setting next to a children's playhouse and dollar store somewhat dampen the atmosphere. So we came here for date night. With hopes this place would live up to the hype... First of upon walking in the host had his back turned to the front door and was talking to the little boys standing around him. Were seated in a middle table in the middle of the dining room... Which was fine except the windows were not covered and every car driving by would shine their lights into the dining room.. Kinda felt like the the car was about to drive into drive into the dining room... Get some drapes!! We sat at the table for about 20 minutes BEFORE our waitress even came over to greet us... The place was running at about half capacity and her section was maybe 3 tables including us... The whole time we were waiting for our waitress to notice us; we had a great time debating why on earth the owner mostly hired baby boys to work the dining room... Literally a staff of about 12 people and only 2 women (waitresses) and 1 male server who looked like he'd graduated high school already... It looked like junior prom or homecoming was happening full force in this place! I ordered a glass of wine (malbec), waitress took my order 10 minutes later she came back and asked me what wine I had ordered THEN informed me they no longer serve that at the restaurant. Then brought me a glass of merlot in a dirty glass... Great start to dinner... Ordered calamari.... It was pre-frozen restaurant depot rubber hunks drenched in vinegar\garlic sauce... Simply disgusting! Ordered a breaded chicken over pasta with marscapone cheese... This was pretty good but overly sauced. I ordered the lobster shrimp sweet English pea risotto... First of all risotto should be creamy not the gritty mess I was served... Bland is giving it credit and the peas were shrivelled up pebbles mixed into my dish. My most recent visit to this establishment, on 12/12/19, could potentially have been my last... I was there with a group of 8 other women to do our annual Christmas exchange while enjoying the restaurant's "Ladies' Night Bar Specials" which included discounted martinis and appetizers. The service we received from our waitress, COURTNEY, was hands-down the WORST SERVICE I have ever received in all of my life. Four of us showed up to the restaurant first and figured we would order drinks and appetizers while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Because we were not at the bar due to the size of our party, we immediately asked if they would be able to honor the specials even though we weren't physically sitting at the bar but were in the bar area. The response we received from our waitress COURTNEY was "Ugghhh, I don't know. I just got called in 2 hours ago. Let me see." She came back and said that they would be able to honor it - this was at about 5:20pm and the specials only ran until 6pm. The four of us all had ordered martinis in the meantime... COURTNEY brought them to the table with empty glasses and shakers (totally fine).. except as she poured them she shook the shaker into the glass and literally sprayed drinks all over the place. She did this with EVERY drink she poured and did not clean it up nor did she apologize for it. The next couple of ladies arrived about 10 minutes later and received their drinks almost immediately. At this point it was 5:35pm and we figured we had plenty of time to order appetizers before 6pm. About 5 minutes later the rest of our party arrived. At this time, we all decided that we would put in some apps when she came around to get the last drink order - it was 5:40pm so we thought by the time we would see Courtney again we would still have plenty of time to order... by 5:47 she wasn't back at the table so one of the ladies in our group went looking for her... she found her BARTENDING AND SERVING ---- not only was she waiting on tables, but she was also making drinks... By the time she came back to our table it was 6:02pm. I said to her, "we would like to put some apps in now please". Her response was, "well what time is it?" I said, "it's 6:02." She said "well it's too late now." I said "right, but we've been waiting over 20 minutes for you to get back to our table." She had been very rude up until this point, but now so more than ever, her attitude reached new heights. She told us that we should have asked to put in appetizers during one of her previous SEVEN trips to us and that there was nothing she could do about it now. We expressed our dissatisfaction with this response ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING she knew exactly what we were there for from the first moment we arrived and should have made it a point to get our order in before 6pm. Furthermore, the fact that she was tending bar AND serving meant that she was not able to give her full attention to us (we later learned that she was called in SPECIFICALLY for our party of 9 reservations and should have only been waiting on us). She continued to stand there and argue with us for a few minutes until she decided to get a manager involved. While we waited ANOTHER 10-15 MINUTES for her to return with some kind of solution, the ENTIRE GROUP OF 9 OF US were beside ourselves with the terrible service we had received from the start. We all chatted, and at that point we all decided that we were going to leave and go somewhere else to enjoy our Christmas exchange. Immediately when she saw us all stand up and begin to put our coats on, she ran over to the table. We told her we decided to leave because the service was absolutely terrible and her response was "Ok, great." This was the first time we saw a smile from her the entire time. Clearly she couldn't care less about us leaving or about the terrible service we received from her. We waited another 5 minutes for the bill because she put the drinks on 9 SEPARATE TABS - the 9 tabs came to a total of about $72. One of the woman in our party handled the tab while the rest of us made our way to another restaurant. When she went to pay, COURTNEY told her the total was $180!!! After analyzing the bill, she found that COURTNEY had added other people's orders to our tab. After another 10 minutes, she finally received our revised tab that totaled $56... so our bill went from $72 to $180 to $56... strange. Prior to one of the ladies leaving, she asked to speak to a manager, to which she was informed that the manager was in a meeting. Of the two gentleman who run this establishment, one was in a meeting DURING DINNER RUSH, while the other one was gallivanting around the restaurant making sure to stop and say hi to everyone he knew. However, did not ever make himself available to the party of 9 who ended up leaving extremely dissatisfied. Needless to say, we will not be returning for quite some time, if ever. read more

Despite living in Cumberland my whole life, I haven't been to Andrew's Bistro until recently. I went there for dinner a few months ago and it was excellent; the calamari was tasteful and the lobster ravioli was great. During my most recent visit I ordered the same thing. They were nice... One example: took about 15 mins to get the wrong drink. And then she got mad when we told her it was wrong... mad at us... crazy right?. There was three more awful incidents. We saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to try this place for our anniversary. They told us on the phone beforehand that they had high tops so we could eat in the bar area since it sounded like they were fully booked. When we got there, they took us to a table in the back of the restaurant. It was nice and quiet. We ordered the bruschetta and a Caesar salad to share. My husband and I ordered the short rib with a croquette. My daughter ordered the chicken Marsala. The food was AWESOME!! The waiter was super nice and very attentive. The only complaint I have is that my husband ordered a glass of wine. It was $16.50 for a 9oz pour. I found that to be a little expensive since we buy that wine at home. The bottle is usually that a little more than that. Otherwise, we look forward to coming back in the future. My fellow Yelpers were right about this place. Try it and don't be fooled by the location. Initially I was a little scared when my boss picked this spot for a team dinner (20ish people). The reviews were scattered and walking in the decor was aged. However I had the best scallops and risotto. Ever. Rice was cooked perfectly and the taste was Unami. It was delicious. Also my meal came with steak that was cooked perfectly. So my wife and I decided to give the Bistro another shot. Its been over 2 years and really reluctant as be experienced poor service and entrée flavors were over powering on several occasions. Tonight we ordered white clam chowder, Chicken Parm, chickem venezia. Holly smokes, the food was amazing. The clam chowder was hearty and delicious. The calamari was perfect. We ordered the sauce on side so we could regulate the amount on the dish. The sauce was good enough that we poured it all on. The two chicken dishes were outstanding. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the portion was giant. It reminded me of Coachman Inns portion before they cut them back. I will definitely come again and hope the quality is consistent. Tonight my wife and I went out for dinner at Andrew's Bristro's like we have done many times in the past. My wife ordered the Clasic New York Sirloin and I ordered the Chichen Marsala. Well the sirloin was fantastic but!!! The Chicken Marsala ??? If that's what the chef wanted to call it was so soupy that I ask for a small bowl to drain the excess gravy out so I could eat it without dripping all over the place!! It was ok but way to soupy. They should of served it with a spoon! So I did complain a little but it was good after I drained it and I ask to talk to the chef about it or at least the manager. Nothing! To busy! We received the bill and I figured they might have compensated for the complaint on the meal with maybe one of our cocktails(just one not both)or maybe one of the desserts we took to go! Wasn't looking not to pay for the meal. But to my surprise NOTHING! So basically for not even caring about one of their customers here I I'm writing this bad review. If someone would of cared to come talk to me or take a $10 drink or dessert off the bill they lost a customer that would of given them over $1,300 to $1500 in a year. Oh well just saying. Very disappointed went in with high hopes. Left extremely unimpressed. My wife and I went in on a Thursday night at 7pm we were told we would not have to wait for a table if we sat at a high top at the bar . No problem except that of the 4 empty tables all hadn't been cleaned from the last patrons . We go back to the host and he seats by the front windows. On our Right is a couple who have just finished eating their dessert The waitress comes and takes away their dirty dishes and they ask for their check turns to us and says I'll be right back to help you. At 7:25 three people are seated to on our left within 5 min someone is taking their drink order . At that point we left. Update to all my earlier rave reviews. Sadly we have been huge fans of this place. Referring and bringing friends, but the food and service have been spiraling the last 2 months. It would be easy to blame covid, but over salted food and salty wait staff can't be dismissed with the covid excuse. Tonight the service was pathetically poor. Sitting at back bar only 2 other people at bar, and 15 min wait for drink, 20 min wait for salad, etc.. Asked the bartender if this was a staffing issue, but he fluffed it off. So, all I can say is ownership needs to get their act together, because your customers we only tolerate sub par so long, then they will go support some other business! They deserve ZERO stars. I went there for a family Xmas dinner. My brother and I sat at the bar, had one beer a piece. We were laughing rather loudly....Yes, laughing, God forbid. I lost my son and my brother recently and the holidays are difficult for me. I RARELY laugh this time of year. They actually stopped servicing us beer AND called the cops like we were common criminals!!! You know......suspicion is sketchy. You don't know what goes on in people's lives. My girl friend introduced me to Andrews. I try to get there anytime we are dining in Cumberland. My first impression was the awesome personalities of the wait staff. The food is top notch! My favorite appetizer is the eggplant rollatini....sliced very thin but so tasty. I have been trying something different every time I go, but so far my favorite is the filet. Last time we were there they had a surf and turf special with lobster over the filet. Wow the sauce drizzled over the top was to die for. Lastly when you see them walk bye with the desert tray, you have to try one of them. Never disappointed. Me and my wife were seated and given menus and water. There three parties in our section (that included us). This restaurant is fairly small as well and not very busy this evening. The waiter stayed very engaged with a party of five having a great conversation. He left their table and didn't see him again for about ten minutes, bringing them a reorder of drinks. During this time, one hostess came by to say our waiter would be right with us. Yeah, no he wasn't'. I found it funny how he was so engaged with this party, saying how he had been in the restaurant industry for over 28 years, yet couldn't even have the courtesy of a simple acknowledgment of the two of us or take our drink order. We left and a member of that party noticed; I doubt the waiter did. Maybe in 28 years he could've learned that every customer should be treated equally. Expected more from this place. read more

This is my second time visiting a bistro for some good eats. Although, it did take a while for me and my boyfriend to be seated. The place wasn't too overly populated but there was a waitress and waiter on duty. We are seated by the window at a table for two and was given the lunch menu. It took a bit for me and my boyfriend to decide what we wanted to eat but we ordered two appetizers and two entrees. There's also a bar in the bistro so my boyfriend ordered me a shirley temple (which is one of my favs). For our appetizers we ordered: Bistro Crab Cakes and Mozzarella Caruso. And to be honest here, I wouldn't order these again. The Bistro Crab Cakes weren't all that great, and they aren't actually what you're thinking when it comes to a traditional crab cake. It's crab meat rolled into a ball, tossed into some bread crumbs and deep fried. I was expecting something near clam cakes but I wasn't a big fan of these. The Mozzarella Caruso was an okay dish, I preferred eating these instead of the crab cakes. It's what you imagine it to be, mozzarella that's deep fried topped with some vinegar and marinara sauce. Feel free to order these on your own accord, but I definitely wouldn't order these again. Now, the reason I give this bistro 4 stars is because of the entree. We ordered: Chicken Cordon Bleu and Chicken Parmigiana. They're both pasta dishes. I fell absolutely in love with the chicken cordon bleu, I've had something similar at the Cheesecake Factory but this dish here at this bistro has put down the Cheesecake Factory's. This dish was absolutely amazing and I was so sad that I had gotten full halfway into eating the entree. The Chicken Parmigiana was a basic dish my boyfriend ordered but he was really jealous of my Chicken Cordon Bleu. :) If it wasn't for the entree, I would've rated this place a bit lower. What a hidden gem. Andrew's Bistro located in a shopping plaza on Mendon Road, has it all. The dining room is cozy and reminds me of a cafe in Italy. The server was welcoming and so willing to discuss and recommend several dishes on the menu. Most importantly the food is fantastic, fresh local ingredients are apparent in the flavors and preparation. Presentation are appealing and plentiful. Don't be fooled by the formerly destitute looking strip mall this place is nestled into. They've recently made it much more welcoming. A friend had mentioned this place to me and after a bit of reluctance, I went for a visit. The inside is very nice and welcoming and the food was very good! I tried the unique "Goat Cheese Bruchetta" and was amazed. As an extreme goat cheese lover with high goat cheese standards, this passed the test with flying colors. It was absolutely delicious. I think about this dish often at work. Sadly, not much time to get out and head back here but mark my words-- I will be back here again. read more

I work on the CVS hill (not for CVS) so we have limited options for close sit down eating establishments...which blows my mind! When I was coming up for interviewing/woo-ing they took me to Andrew's for lunch the first day. It was so long ago that I can't really remember being impressed or not....I guess I would say I was whelmed...not over, not under. This last time, however, we had people in from our corporate office in Indianapolis. I made the call to take the small group to Andrews. The restaurant was moderately buys, but nothing they shouldn't have been able to handle based on the amount of employees that were there. The drink order happened quickly, but the rest of the show took entirely too long. Quite honestly the food was....eh. Again, I guess I was whelmed. For the price on Federal Hill the food would have been much better, but it's all about location. I think Andrew's is a inconsistent restaurant. One day it will be relatively good and the next may be not so much. If you're visiting CVS HQ and don't know where to go for lunch I would say that Andrew's may be worth a shot. Wow, don't judge this place from the parking lot or the fact it's in a beat up strip mall. 100% 5 Star food and service! The minute you walk through the door you get a sense this place is special, and it is. Clearly the owner took all he saved on rent and put it where it matters; food, and service. The food was fantastic, I had the sole in lemon sauce - and this dish (only $17) beats any top San Francisco or Seattle Seafood Fancy High Dollar chop house hands down. I came here for dinner with my co-workers. While sitting at the bar before dinner, we learned about their loyalty program which gets you half priced bottles of wine on Wednesday night. You earn points every time you drink or dine there and when you reach 500, you get a $30 gift card. They also have a lot of happy hour specials and the service at the bar was excellent so we'll definitely be back at some point to take advantage of that. For appetizers, we had the mozzarella caruso and the calamari modo mio and we all loved both. We loved the calamari so much that we ordered a second plate of it. For an entree, I had the orange honey mirin glazed salmon, which was also really good. I got talked into splitting a dessert, which was a warm blueberry pie. It was only okay. I really really wanted to write a good review of this place. Sadly, we weren't impressed much. We arrived after 5pm, the restaurant was EMPTY. After some banter with the somewhat lonely staff, we were seated and presented with menus. The waitress attempted to explain the specials, but obviously had no idea what was on the menu as she had to fetch her handwritten note and read from it. Not a big deal, moving on. Bread was fantastic! Garlic infused dipping oil, drooled over! Water was poured, alcoholic drinks offered (no thanks). So, our entree order was placed. A couple of other tables became occupied. I then noticed, there was only one waitress working, sadly. She did work her butt off, but you could tell her once friendly demeanor had faded away. At any rate, my wife and I still had high hopes. This place was raved about by some of our friends who had eaten here. So, here we go.. The salad? Not too bad, greens in the center topped with shredded carrot, on the side are olives, sliced grape tomato and cukes. They offered a couple of dressings (none house made, NO Italian?) they had a balsamic, ranch, blue cheese and honey mustard. I ALMOST went to the abutting dollar store (a 20 second walk away) to buy a salad dressing I'd be happy with, but my wife talked me down. I remained calm and kept a smile on my face. Ok, we're at a raved Italian joint right? So we both ordered the chicken parm. This is my staple, nobody can beat my homemade chicken parm (so I have high standards). We like fish, we love steak ( but ever since I've started using my sous vide immersion tool, I will never order restaurant filet mignon again). Chicken Parm tells me a Lot about a restaurant. Fresh chicken, check.. Hand breaded, check. Burned under the salamander, check! Plain Panko breading lacking ANY flavor, check! The sauce was thick and just ok. Nothing to rave about. I ordered capellini, arrived on my plate refrigerator cold! And I'm not exaggerating. My wife ordered penne, it was just as cold. Yet pulled about 3 minutes prior to al dente. Yep, raw pasta. Gross. I did complain about the pasta, they did bring new pasta on the side (just as cold). Sad. Idk. Pasta is on sale at stop and shop this week for $69¢ a pound. Cook it to order, PLEASE? Ramsy would have smashed that plate! We ate what we could. Both of our chicken cutlets were severely overcooked, dry and woody. Ugg. We took the rest home out of pity. We wanted dessert to go. Now, when we first ordered, I had asked to see a dessert menu, but was told that a dessert cart would be brought by after dinner. Yay, I LOVE the dessert cart! Yep, this NEVER happened.. We asked for our desserts to go, and we were told about maybe 4 desserts we can get to go (because they're "to go"). Um. One of them was cheesecake and one was a fricken ice cream sandwich! Really? What could they have offered that we could have eaten in that I couldn't have driven 5 minutes away from this restaurant? It wasn't 200 degrees outside. We both compromised with chocolate cake. We do love chocolate. (we'll get to it, it's in the fridge) Now, I understand that our waitress was overworked. I get that. And thank goodness we weren't in a hurry (or choking because it took a half hour to get my water refilled). The bill took another 20 minutes to show up, and an eternity for it to be processed. Nothing was comped (not that I was "expecting that") but I've had better meals that were taken care of because they sucked less than tonight's. And no, we don't complain often. And I do only write reviews like this when I feel it's necessary. (perhaps I should start writing when I have better experiences) duly noted. Well, Happy Birthday to me I guess. We get out maybe twice a year now and after tonight I don't want to chance it any more. I'd rather just cook at home (culinary trained) AND wash the dishes too. I still tipped 20%. Perhaps instead of attacking your customers with your whimsical replies, may I suggest that you offer an apology and maybe even find a creative way to make your disappointed customers want to revisit for another try. Ohhhh the chicken Florentine is fabulous! You wouldn't know it from the looks of the surroundings but this little hole in the wall is awesome. Some dinner selections are pricey but there's something for everyone. Large drink selection, menu is extensive with lots to choose from and they have tasty desert!? My girlfriend and I headed to Andrew's to have a girl's night out. It was very busy due to multiple Christmas parties, but happily there were two seats at the bar. Although he was super busy, the bartender Nate did an excellent job pouring us two fantastic martini's and serving us our delicious dinners!
