My family's experience at Andy Mohr Nissan was great until it wasn't. We were originally met by a very kind and helpful salesman named Matt who aided us tremendously. I have nothing but great things to say about Matt, but that's the only positive thing I can recall from our experience. The car was absolutely filthy, like it had been driven through a field of dirt, both on the outside and inside. This is after we received a paper about the car claiming it had been detailed both inside and out. We were also given the car to test drive with 11 miles in the tank, almost as if they didn't want us to go very far. Keep in mind I had scheduled this appointment 4 days prior. There was plenty of time to put even a little gasoline into the car. When we asked about hearing the engine of another Kia to compare the sound of the one we were looking at, we were told that there were no other 4 cylinder Kia models in the lot to test this with. I instantly spotted one in the parking lot and had them pull it up to test, which ended up coming back okay. Our worst part of the experience was meeting with the general manager CJ, who absolutely ruined the deal for our hardworking salesman. He was flat out condescending and rude to both me and my father, in one instance saying that we shouldn't be worried about what's wrong with the brakes of the car, even though they couldn't tell us what's wrong themselves. It's a shame that a dealer like Andy Mohr Nissan has a general manager who treats his customers like this while actively trying to make a sale. It's even more of a shame he turned us away when we were leaning towards buying the car because of Matt's great service. Confusing pricing experience. Part that was part of the repair was Part # 34935-ZS02A. $169.82 on the repair estimate. Every dealer in town including ANDY MOHR NISSAN IN AVON is selling this for $140.68. Not sure if this is super secret special pricing for this location. I had to question it and was sent to parts. When I told them I called Avon and they gave me that price they said, "Someone in Avon is going to get in trouble." Ultimately they gave me the fair price, but somehow I wound up paying $10 more than I should have which included the $50 online coupon. Please share: Story time on how I took my truck to the dealership and got played: Long post, but I just want everyone to be aware of how some of these dealerships treat women when you are by yourself. They tend to take advantage of us...ok so here we go On October 8, 2024 I took my truck to Andy Mohr Nissan at 4302 Lafayette Rd to get my truck serviced. My truck needed front struts and my rear brakes fixed. I got them fixed, after getting those fixed and riding my truck for about a few months, I noticed that my truck was still doing the same thing it was doing before I got it worked on so I took it back to Andy Mohr Nissan when I got off work in the morning to get it checked out again. I spoke with David (A advisor). He told me to leave it and they will check to make sure everything was ok and still in tack. They text me after having it for a couple hours and said I needed new tie-rods and this was on 1/7/25. I got tierods put on and an alignment. When they were done with my truck I picked it up, drove it for about a few weeks and noticed it was still having the same issue before my struts were supposedly replaced. I took it back to them and spoke with David again and he said they will check it again to make sure everything was ok. I get a text after they check it stating I needed new shocks and it was going to be $661. I declined the service and picked my truck back up. I continue to drive it and as I'm driving it daily I begin to say to myself something isn't right and I know it's not because it shouldn't still be having the same issues before my struts and tie-rods were replaced, so I took it back up there and spoke with Victor. He said he will have his technician to look at it and let me know. They looked at it and first he said the technician said they have to warranty out one of my struts because it's bad so I'm like ok thinking to myself I don't understand why my struts will go bad after just getting them put on. I trusted his word and said ok no problem. He then calls me and say he had his more higher technician to look at it and he said my struts looks fine and that he couldn't warranty out something that isn't bad, that's when he went back to it being my shocks again and I'm like ok I'll get it fixed when I can. I just took their word for it and trusted they knew what they were talking about. I made an appointment with meineke to get a second opinion. Upon them doing a diagnosis they told me my struts were bad, just to be clear I didn't let meineke know about me getting struts put on recently. I just let them check and to see why my truck was having those issues. I declined the service with them and took my truck back up to Nissan to let them know my struts are not fixed. I went there calmly until they tried to play in my face as if I wasn't suppose to be upset about my truck after spending so much money with them. The manager came out and I showed him the paperwork I received from meineke showing pictures of how my struts looked and paperwork stating my struts needed fixed. I also explained to him what my truck was doing and he ask if I can leave it with him and I told him no because I didn't trust them anymore. He said well if you not going to leave it with me then I can pull the door open and you can pull out!!!!!! This is when the conversation gets heated because I went up there upset about my truck but I wasn't rude or disrespectful. I got treated horrible and bad because I called them out on their lack of work and why my truck wasn't done. They took my money and never fixed my struts on my vehicle. David tried to blame it on Brian who is no longer there why my truck isn't fixed but I don't believe that. Brian is who I worked with prior to working with David. It really doesn't matter who I worked with. I left my truck with them trusting they will do a good job and get it done correctly but it didn't go that way. My money was stolen and I was left with an unfinished truck. The manager at Nissan kept telling me they put brand new struts on and I was telling him they didn't. As we were going back and forth I told them it's ok I'll take it to court. He walk away and came back out and said well I have a deal for you, we going to give you a refund with the intent you can never come back to us. I said good and thank you cause why would I want to take my truck back to someone who stole my money and didn't fix my truck. Please get second opinions if you can before getting your vehicle serviced by anyone. I could've avoided all this if I had shopped around. I trusted them because it's the dealership of my vehicle so I thought I was making the right choice, but turns out that choice was a horrible one. I will never go back or refer any of my friends or family there. Andy Mohr Nissan gets 0 score from me. The sales experience was great when I bought my car. But getting my car service here has been a different experience. They go through service managers like McDonald's would employees. I had to contact Nissan several times and when I do the managers get very defensive. Then, they try to blame the customer as it's their fault. When I go to an appointment to get my oil changed it's takes two hours. I want technicians to take their time when servicing my vehicle, but two hours on a scheduled appointment is absurd. There was an issue with my ecm originally, I thought it was the transmission. They would not let me use a loaner, their excuse was there wasn't any to use. My car was under the manufacture warranty. Which, I believe a loaner is provided in that case. When I got my combination switch diagnosed and replaced; they did not put interior panels back correctly. Not only, my car was acting as the computer was destroyed. My car was showing every light. It's was pulling teeth just for them to fix it. I have a 2022 Nissan Frontier. I have taken this in serveral times complaining about the transmission. This time they had it for 3 days. I had an appointment at 8am on Thursday. They called at about 3:30 4:00 and said they had not looked at it. I did not hear from them on Friday. I had to call at about 2:30 Monday and they said they had not gotten to it. 15 minutes later I got a VM that the car was in the shop. an hour and a half later I got a call they did not find anything wrong. I am not happy. I strongly recommend not visiting this dealership or buying a Nissan product. Believe the reviews of these vehicles. I took my fathers Pathfinder to Andy Mohr near 38 th st for a water pump. I knew what I wanted. I am a car guy. I was told I could get that done by Ron. A simple water pump swap. Ron confirmed it would be done. I recieved a call the next day at 7:54 am from Ron telling me I needed to appove a diagnostic fee for $180 to have a water pump installed. I told him I didn't need a diagnosis, I needed a water pump. He said OK and he'd call me back with the estimate. He called back 3 minutes later and told me that he could not do the water pump because I needed a diagnosis. I told him I wanted a water pump, nothing else, he said it probably needed a timing belt too. I knew it was a LIE as the car has a timing chain. I told Ron I would be in later on. I asked to speak with the service manager, Randy Bennett. I explained to Randy how I simply wanted a water pump didnt need a diagnosis, how his employee lied to me about what it needed as I am not a fool. ( I have all of this on video as well) Randy told me they do not do water pumps there, its on video twice and told me he'd get my keys so I could leave. Randy also informed me that Ron, his empoyee, had a stroke recently and they felt bad for him. The were doing him a favor by giving him a job and I should understand that he makes mistakes, he went on. I didn't need to know medical history of the employees nor did I care to hear about thier HR policies, but Randy shared it all, I just wanted a water pump. Randy was upset and I have it on video. Randy was very rude and shared way too much. Ron's mistake could have cost me thousands of dollars if I were not knowledgable about my own vehicle. I emailed the GM of that dealership, Nick Burd and Nick has not responded. I asked Nick where he suggested that I get my water pump replaced at, as they didn't do water pumps at thier service department. I let him know about all the personal information sharing, the HR talk I got and the lies about my timing belt. This dealership wasted over an hour of my time by posting a car on Facebook market that is not actually for sale. I inquired about the car through FB and then was asked to be contact via email. One of the dealers got back to me about the car and I told him that I wanted to come in an take a look at it. It seemed too good to be true, but you never know, sometimes you come across a good deal. I wanted to get in quickly as if it was a decent car, I knew it would get bought quickly, so I planned a visit 2 days later with my teenage son. It is a 30 minute drive to the dealership. When we got there they said that the car has "all the lights on it" and that it is not operable and they lost the key. So they had the car, but the couldn't sell it and it wouldn't be sellable anyway. Then WHY ARE YOU ADVERTISING IT?? And why couldn't you have sent me a simple email stating that the car wasn't available before I wasted an entire evening driving out to take a look at it. I do not recommend this dealership. They wasted hours of our day on nonsense. My fiancé and I went in here to look at a car that we saw online. The car looked perfect in the pictures but when we got there, there was a large dent on the front bumper that wasn't shown online and wasn't mentioned. That put me off and then we opened the car up and it was disgustingly dirty. Looked like they emptied lawnmower clippings in the back. The center council still had the previous owners wrappers inside and it was so dusty. We drove it and liked it so we went in to talk with someone and haggle on the price. It was listed for $16,400 and they told us that was a special price they do online and that there is no wiggle room because they really wanted over $18000 for it. I made it clear that that wouldn't work and then he decided he could work the price. Finally, he comes out for the 5th time or so and gives us the monthly payment that looks like it will work until I look closer and I see that to get the monthly payment to work he took away the GAP insurance and warranty and the new total for financing was going to be close to $20000. That was shady and they DO NOT have the customer's best interests in mind. read more

I have always had good service at Andy Mohr and I am a repeat customer because I have bought my last 3 Nissan Sentras there and the only place I had my cars serviced. Although this was back in September I'm still disappointed because it's time for another oil change and I did not like the way I was treated. I had called mad an appointment because my backup camera was malfunctioning and was going in and out, I left my car the night before, completed the white envelope, I also wrote on the envelope if they could change my oil since my vehicle was there. Jennifer Russell is the service person that started texting me about my vehicle, I was told they had to order my camera and when it came in they would let me know. I asked if they were going to be able to change my oil and she said yes. A little later I called to see if my car was going to be ready about 5pm and she got a little testy and said something smart and said yes because it's in there being changed now...yes it rubbed me the wrong way and I could not wait to see her when I got there. However when I went and asked for her cause I stated she does not know me...they said she gets off at 4pm so she was gone, I told the lady my name and said I need to pay for my oil change the receptionist asked Carlos if he knew about my car because she could not find my paperwork...he said yes I have her keys and her car will be in the bay, I said what about paying for my oil change? He stated she just told me to give u the keys...I said oh my I don't have to pay...but when I get to my car the usual oil change sticker was not in the window and Carlos said he didn't know. Sooo a couple days later my camera comes in and I go to take my car and I ask about the oil change AGAIN...and they are going to give me paperwork from when I had my oil changed back in April...so my question is...so are you telling me my oil was not changed when I bought it in last time? No one could answer this question and then Jennifer tried to say she didn't tell me it had been changed I said yes you did. After going back and forth about this it really angered me cause I don't like lies. I decided to called the manager Randy Bennett to explain to him what happened and the situation and how Jennifer was talking..he was very defensive I thought and had the nerve to say well when you come again just ask for Carlos to help you I said why would I have to do that? But 8 days later the loyalty manager Alise Taylor sent me an email to see if my service was a 10? I emailed her back and told her it was not and how disappointed I was and if she could give me a call....that was 5 months ago and I still have not heard from her....so disappointed in you all Andy Mohr because even after that incident I stopped by the dealership because my tires are locked and I had a nail in it and could not find the key loch they said I was given and Carlos said everyone in service was gone for him to use their lock....it was approximately 4pm and service had a couple more hours to be open but no one there... Anywho he told me to come back Friday morning.....I go up there early because I was going out of town Saturday and I needed my tire fixed...well guess what I got there and he says what are you doing here I said you told me to come he said no I did not because we don't have any appointments until next week ....REALLY??? I was disappointed by the service department after my car was towed there a couple weeks ago. My car sat all day waiting to be worked on because they said they couldn't get it started to move into bay and had to wait for a tow truck. They told me it was on the lift already but when I arrived it was still in lot. I was told they would be able to service it in the first couple of hours when I first talked to them and they told me they would keep me posted and keep on it since I was from out of town. I had to call them repeatedly for any progress. I ended up having to get a hotel room and when I asked for a loaner car to get around they first told me they would have one and then when I went to pick it up they said they could rent me one for $30.00 a day. Basically, they talk a good game telling you what you want to hear but very little follow through. My car was ready at the end of the day after hotel and car rental costs on top of service charge. When I asked the manager to drop the $30.00 charge for car I was told he couldn't. When I finally walked into the bay to get my car I overhear a very disgruntled manager talking down to one of the employees. I imagine no one enjoys working here and as a result the service is compromised. read more

Drive it off the lot, it has a BOLT (Black on Beige) holding the drivers side door panel together, which lasted a week, heated seats button DEAD. Power locks to other doors, DEAD. Now, only after the first cold snap, allllll 4 door locks (and back trunk) DONT UNLOCK). I was only inclined to write this AFTER their generic automated "Happy Birthday/Hows You Doing? Email" which happened to be on my birthday, on CHRISTMAS Day. I'm NOT saying not to purchase here. I'm only suggesting, CHECK EVERY INCH of your car. If THEY suggest one, CHECK IT 3X. If youre there more than 2-6HOURS, question your own sanity! Happy 2019. I am a female Army Veteran of 33 years. I have been a loyal Nissan customer since 2004. I own a 2004 and 2016 Maxima. I also own a 2006 and 2020 Murano. I have referred several individuals to Andy Mohr Nissan and they have purchased vehicles based on my firm belief in Nissans. I have always serviced my vehicles at Andy Mohr Nissan Lafayette Road location since 2004. I have never had a reason not to trust this location with my vehicles even though they have had a tremendous staff turnover. This has now changed since my experience on Oct 30 and November 1, 2021. On Friday, Oct 29, I had an appointment for an oil change on my 2006 Murano. A few hour later I received a call from the Technician Advisor, Jennifer Russell that my car was ready for pickup and she informed me of what they found and their recommendations. Air Filter, Cabin Filter and dirty brake fluid. I asked her was that all that was found and her answer was yes. Since it was so close to closing time, I let her know I would pick my car up on Saturday, Oct 30. When I picked up my car and pulled off I discovered a "Shift to Park" light was on. I immediately turned around to find out what that light was. Carlos, one of the Technicians that check your car in for service pulled my car back into the Service Department and asked the Head Technician Advisor why the light was on. He stated they only changed the oil and he did not know. I explained to both of them that the light was not on when I brought the car in for the oil change and neither did Jennifer mention anything referencing a light being on when she called me to let me know my car was ready. I was told Jennifer would call me on Monday since she was the one who checked me in. On Monday she called to tell me that it was my Instrument Cluster and the cost would be $1870 and that included labor. I explained to to her that the light was not on when she checked my car in for the oil change and neither was it on when she called me to let me know it was ready. At that time she stated to me "IT IS A 2006 AND PARTS DO GET OLD". i was very shocked by her insult! I am fully aware that MY vehicle is a 2006 and it should have been very obvious to her that if you can only find dirty brake fluid and air and cabin filter needed, I must keep my 2006 up to par. That comment was not necessary and very insulting to me. I strongly felt I should not be responsible for the cost of the maintenance BUT if I was going to pay, Nissan should be able to reason with me in some respect and maybe I pay for the part and they not charge for the labor since I am a very loyal customer and the light just happen to appear while the car is at Nissan. I informed Jennifer that I was on my way and would like to talk to the service Manager. When I arrived, I asked for the Service Manager, Randy Bennett. When he appeared, I informed him who I was and he immediately was on defense. He turned his back and started walking toward his office. Never once did he say "follow me or lets go to my office and discuss this". I walked behind him to his offfice. I explained the situation to him the same as I explained it to Jennifer. He stated, "we are not paying for it and the cost would be $1870. if I wanted it repaired". At that point, I asked for my keys and was told Jennifer had them. I left Nissan and called a friend of mine that I served in the Military with for 30 years that was a mechanic. I took my car to him and he disconnected the battery. Left it disconnected for a couple of hours and connected it back and the "Shift to Park" light went out. I was in total disbelief that Nissan was going to charge me $1870 to fix something that was not even broke. At this point, I do not trust taking my car to this location ever again. I feel that they were very dishonest with me and it was obvious that I was being ripped off. I have always purchased Extended Warranties on all my vehicles. The Warranty I have on my 2016 Maxima and 2020 Murano, I will request to use at another Nissan location and hopefully my request will be honored. I have referred several people to this location but the customer service there is definitely not the same. I have overlooked it several time but NOW, I am accepting the change. Its too bad, but the turnover of staff in the Service Department is not the same customer friendly as it was when I first started going there. I do give KUDOS to Carlos because he do try. I've used this location since 2009 and have noticed a decline in the quality of service over the past 12 months, which is unfortunate. It has been hit or miss. When a person brings in a vehicle, a little more care and consideration should be given to what they say they are experiencing versus what the codes say. A customer can experience an issue long before the system actually throws a code. My latest saga: I dropped my car off at 7:30am and told them I would need a ride back. I called at 2:00 because I had not heard back from anyone about what's going on with my car. Left a message. No returned phone call. Called again at 4:17pm. Still no answers about what's going on with my car and now I have to wait for someone to pick me up because it was not communicated that I needed a ride back (even though it was expressed but would have been re-stated had someone called me back). Someone was supposed to finally come pick me up. At 4:37, they still hadn't left the dealership. To boot, they said it will take 2-3 days to tell me what is wrong with my car because they only have 2 master techs and apparently, only the master techs are smart enough to use a code reader (no, I know how to read a code reader, which is why I was able to tell them what was wrong with my vehicle when I dropped it off). I have NEVER, in 10 years, had to wait 2-3 days just for them to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle. They don't have enough real techs to do the work. With all of the cars they have to repair, they should have more qualified and certified techs on deck. I'm not sure what the issue is with Andy Mohr Nissan, but they need to fix it fast. I have been extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service. They used to be so good at it. Where did Kevin go?? Why do they have 8 useless techs in the back who can't even read a code reader? What an absolute joke. read more

Customer service is awful and really bad at communicating with their customers. My car has been in the shop for a week longer than what was originally told to me. When a new problem arose with my car, no one called to inform me;I found out only because I called for an update. I tried calling for another update yesterday and no one responded all day. I took my car to this location for a simple collision repair on my Nissan Armada damaged from being rear ended. Shane completely lied to me week after week that they were gonna pull my car in and and tear it down to see extent of damage as well as noise I was hearing underneath my truck. A month and a week later, I get a call my vehicle is ready and when I get it the noise still existed underneath my car and it was apparent they never checked to see what it was or tore down vehicle as promised. Instead he stated he used his "professional" opinion and ordered just the bumper and hitch assembly as that is all he saw but admitted to State Farm no tear down was done nor did he test drive car to check into concern about noise. After taking my car back, they attempted to call police and refused to work with "my kind" and refused to look into correcting issue. Please do not do business with them as a 5 day repair turned into a month and a week of lies and deceit. None of their estimates matched the insurance estimates at all and it appear they kept revising it to make it match the insurance preliminary estimate. They are scammers and overbooked at this shop and not able to maintain control of the number of repairs they have and are apparently overbooking. The only excuse I could get from Shane is that he was on vacation. Ended up taking my truck else where the same day and within 15 minutes they identified the issue as being my tire wheel bearing which was very loose as shop advised I was lucky it did not come off on highway as it was very bad and he immediately heard the noise just by backing up my truck and pulling it forward. If the shop had of tore down car and put on lift as they stated, there is no way they should have missed that my tire was this loose due to the wheel bearing. My car sat for 4 weeks and they did not start repairs until that final week they had it. It is very sad the poor service provided. Be cautious as they will get over on you if you don't know the business. I will file a complaint against them as well as State Farm to open an investigation and hopefully they will be removed as one of their preferred shops as they are trash. read more

I have always had a very pleasant experience here. I purchased my car here and was able to work with Financing to get a great deal. The Service department is superb. They always go above and beyond to offer great service. For example, I used a $5 yelp coupon and he doubled it. He even went so far as to gather information on another Nissan location out of town where my summer internship will be. As someone who has gotten all of my service work done at this location, I was never pressured to purchase something unneeded. I have always been in control of what is done to my car. Also, I have utilized the drop off service when my car needed to be worked on all day. They dropped me off and picked me up in a timely manner. Lastly; the Service reps are so polite and thorough with their work. I always have an enjoyable experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have the worst customer service and staff in the entire world. Seriously, if you want a new car go anywhere but this place! I bought my very first nice new car here in May 2020 (2019 VW Atlas). We signed a contract stating the car would get repainted and dents repaired since the body was not in new condition. Mathew Brodnick was our sales man and told us due to Covid the painters were not coming in just yet, but they would call us as soon as they returned to get scheduled. We never received a call. I called them in June, July, August, and September asking about getting the car repainted. Each time I was either sent to voicemail or was transferred to the "correct" department where they picked up and then immediately hung up on me. I still never received a call back. I talked to another associate again in January and April who both promised a call back, and again we never received anything. I was also rear-ended at the end of May (yes, couple weeks after buying the car) by a new teenage driver. We were both fine and the insurance took care of everything. Geico promised to have my car fixed (needed new trunk door & backup camera) in 3 days. The body shop fixed everything in 2 days, but needed the dealership to program the new camera.This horrible dealership left my car for 2 weeks without even looking at it. Geico would call them everyday for an update and all they would say is we'd get to it tomorrow. Eventually, everyone gave up with their pathetic excuses and took it to Tom Wood Volkswagen, where my Atlas was fixed the same day and I finally got my car back. Please save yourself all the troubles and go to a better dealership. Literally anywhere is better than this place. They don't care about you, just solely making a sale. And if you are looking for a Volkswagen. Go to Tom Wood! They're amazing and complete angels on earth! read more

Terrible service! Was told 3-4 day's and it took 15 days. I only got my car back by threatening to take it elsewhere. Finally got it back and had a warning light on for a bad tire sensor which they said they replaced. Will never go to them again. The collision center is a contracted service not really apart of Andy Mohr Nissan. Too bad. I have always loved this location. Perhaps you should re-think allowing them to use your good name. read more
