Buyers Beware When my wife and I started looking at Toyota Siennas, we decided to take our business to Andy Mohr. We had purchased our last two vehicles from the Nissan dealership and had positive experiences both times. Unfortunately, the similarities between the Toyota and Nissan dealerships end with the Andy Mohr name. I spent a Saturday test driving a higher-end Sienna model than what I was looking for and discussing with the salesman the process of securing a vehicle. I was a little taken aback by the numbers the salesman began throwing out, as I'd done my research and knew the fair price value of the model in which I was interested. Nevertheless, I put down a deposit to reserve an incoming vehicle and was told we would negotiate a price at arrival as the price could fluctuate. The next day I received a survey asking what they could do to ensure the sale. My response was related to the vehicle's worth. The sales manager reached out to discuss my response. I attempted to return his call on three separate occasions and was unsuccessful. Two weeks passed, and my emails and texts were going unreturned. When I did finally get in touch with someone, I was told that they ASSUMED based on my survey response, that I was no longer interested. They sold the vehicle I reserved without contacting me or refunding my deposit. The sales manager was unable to give any satisfactory explanation. She also stated that the price being significantly over MSRP (8k) was standard, and that's "what they are going for everywhere." I've since spoken to two dealerships in the area that sell the same model AT MSRP or below. We have started the process of purchasing our vehicle at one of those aforementioned dealerships. I purchased a Rav4 Hybrid from Andy Mohr Toyota and I'm now very sorry I did. $6,000 was added to the price of the car - they showed it as an 'upfit' charge on the window sticker. I asked what this was for but the salesperson and I were interrupted by someone and the question remained unanswered. I'm now financing that $6k but I've not received anything for that $6k. The way I see it, Andy Mohr simply stole $6k from me. I spoke to Keri Price (sales mgr) later that week and was told that ALL hybrids have an upfit charge but this is not true. Just this week I've found two Rav4 Hybrids on Andy Mohr's Website that do not have this chg. After the fact, I was told two different answers as to why that chg is added - the gal who answered my call said it was because of low inventory. Keri Price told me it is b/c it's a hybrid - all hybrids are charged with it, which is a lie as noted above. I was also told by Keri Price that the Buyers Order that I signed shows the breakdown of the total price. It does not. It shows only the higher price as the 'selling price' with the $6k already added in - it is not broken down anywhere on that form. She outright lied. My call w/Keri ended with her hanging up on me - nice! One more thing I'd like to mention, after realizing I'd simply 'donated' $6k to Andy Mohr, I checked several of the other Toyota dealerships in the area. Of all that I checked only one was charging a dealer upfit charge - but it was $2,000, not $6,000. Not one of the other Toyota dealerships I checked were charging this upfit chg at all. And yes, I realize I went ahead and purchased the vehicle without getting an answer to my question re: the $6k - I get it, that's on me. But sales people have a way of distracting a customer and engaging them in other topics about said vehicle and before you know it you're in the finance office, unknowingly financing an add'l $6k for which I had nothing to show. I woke up the following morning realizing the numbers didn't make sense and immediately called Andy Mohr wanting to return the car. I was told by Branden, the finance guy, that they would not take the car back - he had already filed the pprk w/Toyota Finance which I question that he'd really done. It was close to 7:00 pm by the time I'd left the dealership the night before so I question that he'd filed the pprk at that late hour. Perhaps he did, but?? Needless to say, I will never again do business with Andy Mohr Toyota. No one should. Nor will my kids - we have all driven Toyotas for years and we will likely continue driving Toyotas. But we won't be purchasing them from Andy Mohr. I have purchased many cars over the years but never have I had the ugly experience that I had with Andy Mohr. And they couldn't care less - their customer's satisfaction is NOT a priority. Once you drive off their lot, they are done with you! A very unethical, deceitful outfit to put it mildly. read more

I went in at 7:30 before work to get the battery in my car replaced. I told them EXACTLY what was wrong with the car and what needed to be replaced. It's a simple replacement that takes 10 minutes. And then an hour and a half later, I was still waiting and I went back to check and they hadn't approved the replacement yet or started working. All they had done was figure out what was wrong with it, which I told them from the start. Ended up taking them 2.5 hours to do a simple fix. Trying to buy a car from here and it took me an entire 2 days of waiting to finally get numbers and they tried to charge 1000 in garbage accessories and 4k for a certification that should be free to customer. I work as a Sales Rep at a Dealer and them refusing to sell a car because I won't take all that crap and 4 grand less than what my car is worth is just ridiculous and terrible business practices. Tried to buy a used car but after I got the car inspected by my technician they would not fix the problems that were found. So they wasted so much of my time. I also wish they would stop saying it is a used car and will have minor issues. These are not minor issues and need to be fixed for safety. They also tried to sell me a different car but when I told them I always get my cars inspected before I buy, they told me that the car might need $3700 worth of work done that they were not going to do. Be very careful when exploring your options with this dealer. Several reviewers commented on Amdy Mohr Toyota's price gauging practice; pricing vehicles well above the sticker price & claiming all dealers are doing it. As other reviewers have also noted, Andy Mohr's claim is a falsehood. And this was my experience as well. Additionally, an internet search disclosed a class action lawsuit that included Andy Mohr Toyota. The lawsuit alleged that AMT improperly charged document preparation fees to their customers (AMT charges their customers to draw up the paperwork!?!?) AMT denied doing anything wrong but did agree to the cash settlement. There are too many great dealerships around to put up with AMT's chicanery. And AMT's reply to negative reviews is pretty standard; "sorry to hear you were disappointed, please call our general manager." What a nonsensical response, the General Manager chose these practices! You have 1 and 1/2 stars out a possible 5 as I write this review. You also have all the information needed to correct the problem, just do it for goodness sake. read more

My husband and I got a car from them that had issues with the axel (a Nissan XTerra). Everything seemed fine when we first bought it. My husband grew up in a family of mechanics and even checked everything out before buying. The dealership told us that the only thing not working was the air conditioning. We even got the warranty. Fast forward about two weeks from now, we are almost left stranded in Nebraska because the car's axel is broken. We didn't do anything to the car besides take a road trip. The car dealership is still having us pay out of pocket for the repairs despite the warranty (which I guess doesn't cover the most expensive parts of the car). I tried to reach their managers about the issue but no one is picking up the phone. Would not recommend. read more

However; upon completion of the oil change the dealership added $6 for shop fees onto other $75.99 then added sakes tax, thus making their oil change more expensive than the other Toyota dealerships the surrounding area. read more

But, asked for detail on the car and for a used 2019 RAV4 they wanted about $4k over new and they wanted $200 Doc Fee's and they had the ### to ask for $3,893 for Accessories on a USED CAR. Way to go Any Mohr...jacking up prices and screwing everyone that comes in during this awful time. I hope you enjoy! I did find a car from a Toyota dealership and they did not charge doc fees and as they said Toyota does not want their dealers to jack up the prices. Bought my son's first car at Andy Toyota in June 22. The experience at the dealership, besides taking well over 4 hours, was pretty standard and no real complaints. We test drove, and purchased, a 2013 Subaru Legacy. Everything on the drive checked (I am an old hat at buying used). Tires looked good, lights, powered "things" all worked. The issue started when I took the car to work one night and upon leaving realized the low beam Headlights did not work, the daytime lights had been on when I did my check. After hours of reached and some help from my local Subaru dealer in Lafayette, oh and tearing off the entire front of the car, problem fitted. No response or help from the dealer. Second issue came upon closer inspection of the tires, two of which had to be removed to get the headlights fixed. The tread on the inside of all four tires was 99% gone. Both of these issues are huge safety issues that the dealership should have caught during their inspection. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I purchased my vehicle in January 29, 2018, I was led to believe that the 2013 Toyota Prius 4 passed inspection and it was certified, the vehicle had 37k miles one it, one owner and a clear car fax. Jorge the finance manager treated me very well as well as the salesman, Nick However, upon driving 3 1/2 + hours back home to Chicago; I noticed a wobble while driving. I informed the sales manager of Andy Mohr, and the salesman Nick. I took the vehicle to get inspected at a local Toyota dealer and they informed that the tires were very low on thread wear and one of the tires was defective. Causing the wobble while driving and that I needed to purchase new tires. Also, the thread wear on the tires was below the passing standards of inspection. I also took the vehicle to get a second inspection by my mechanic who took a gauged and measured the tire thread wear, and it fell bellow the red line on the gauge indicating that the car needed new tires. Now how in the hell this car passed a quality inspection "certified pre owned" is beyond me. Needless to say that I had to purchase new tires on the car at quite significant cost. The new tires purchased were Michelin, specific to hybrid vehicles, not cheap! Upon further inspection of the sale contract I was charged a fee of $299 for "other accessories" I was never made aware that I was going be to charge an extra fee due to the fact that I purchased the vehicle at a set price and whatever the accessories, etc. should be already be included in the purchase price. But not that's not a fact that I find this action misleading by the dealer. The salesman neglected to inform me of this "extra fee" for some service that I didn't ask for or requested. The fee was for some "etching service" on the vehicle. A service that I never requested. Also, I was charged 10% sales tax that was collected at the time of sale when I was out of state purchasing the vehicle residing in Illinois. Come to find out that I was overcharged by over $337. The sales tax that should have been collected should have been .0725 and not 10%. I was informed by my local DMV service that since I was out of state the dealer should not have collected such tax due to the fact that I'm not a resident of Indiana but Illinois. I couldn't transfer my license plate without a form called the ST-108 that was "NOT" given to me at the time of sale. So, $337+299+400+ in new tires= $1,036 out of pocket expense that should have been saved at the time of sale if I wasn't mislead by the sales team at Andy Mohr. Lastly, when I purchased the vehicle and transfer all of my belongings from my trade in into my newly recently purchased vehicle I left behind a Weathertech floor mat that was "supposed" to be delivered to me by the salesman's. 2 months later I have yet to receive my $300+ floor mat! I find that the actions of misleading a consumer of inspection (bad tires) which can lead to driving an unsafe vehicle and risking peoples lives, excessive unnecessary fees, collecting excessive taxes over charges when they're not supposed and having me to jump through hoops in my State is reason enough for me not to give this dealership any good review. I don't recommend Andy Mohr so buyer beware and read "EVERYTHING" and question everything! read more

The Andy Mohr Toyota team is a well oiled machine! I called about 30 mins ahead of time to give them a run down of what I was looking for on behalf of my mom. The sales manager Brian assigned us a sales rep on the phone and when we arrived, Musa was waiting having pulled two vehicles up already. Long story short, we were in an out in about 3 hours and my mother loves her car! This is car #2 our family has acquired from this dealership and we'd recommend them to anyone! I would give them a zero star. As others said DO NOT TRUST THEM-THEY LIE! My wife and I went there because, at the time, they had 3 Toyota Highlanders in stock in the color we wanted (& other features). This was from Toyota's records. Upon arrival, we were shown 1 and told that "it was the only 1 he had seen on the lot" We saw the sticker price and asked if there were any hidden charges. Response: "I don't think so - I'll have to check." When we went in to do paperwork the paperwork had a $2000.00 upcharge on it since "it's a high demand vehicle and there is a shortage. " I said no. He returned and said to meet us halfway for $1000.00. I said no again. Then the sales manager Keri Price came out and said that we have to charge you at least $500, the "vehicle is in short supply, it's the only one we have and we don't know what we are getting next month if any." It was all a lie. They had 3 on the lot, 1 for 25 days, 1 for 12 days, and 1 for 3 days. I also knew they were getting 4 next month (March). This was confirmed by another dealer. I have to say, I never get online to review businesses, but we have received such terrible service that I just have to do it. I dropped my car off for an air conditioning repair last Friday. We were told one day, then two days....it has now been a week. Every time we call for a status update, no one ever picks up the phone in the service department. We get pushed to an operator, who can never find our car in the system and can't give us any information. She encourages us to leave voicemails with the service department, and no one ever calls us back. We have been told several times that someone would call us back by the end of the day, and have not once received the promised call. We still have no idea if or when our car will ever be ready, and the general air of annoyance that we would dare to ask for an update on our expensive repair is insulting and frustrating. We are dedicated toyota drivers, but we will certainly never be returning to Andy Mohr, and I will tell anyone I know to avoid it. read more

I bought a vehicle from Andy Mohr Toyota in Avon. My sales rep was Brandon. I bought a Highlander from this dealership, trusting I was buying a decent used car for the price. Barely have had the vehicle for a month and already having issues. I took my car to another Toyota dealership, O'Brien, for an oil change. They came back and told me everything they found wrong with me car. . . said it didnt pass inspection and these things should have been taken car of at the dealership before it was sold. The tech said that if I would have bought the car from them they would have replaced everything free of charge and that I should call Andy Mohr so see if they can get me in to fix these issues. I called Andy Mohr and they told me there was nothing they could do for me. What a shame! Poor customer service, quality, and professionalism. The 2017 silver Toyota Corolla from Andy Mohr Avon was advertized at $17,111. My car had been totaled by another driver. I was injured and had cellulitis. When the total came it was over $22,000. I didn't understand but the added expencet was anti theft measures. They couldn't include that in the advertisment because it is different in every state. They will mail me papers later but I did not receive the paper that detailed the extra. I told the salesman that it sounded like a bait and switch. I am sorry I signed so many papers. When I walked out the door with the car, their responsibility was over. I should not have been asked do you want to take it to your own mechanic? Are they selling cars they haven't checked. The salesman was polite and friendly and drove me home because I wasn't well enough to drive at that time, An Uber driver brought me to Avon. I do feel something was wrong. First off just let me begin by saying that I have been in customer service, my entire life, so what I'm about to say, isn't said lightly. Andy Mohr Toyota (especially Stephanie and Deanote) were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating with my needs. I purchased a 2022 Sienna that Stephanie had to work with me on a special order. The van came in exactly like I wanted. I have a mobility lift in my van for my scooter and the Mobility Center couldn't accommodate my needs until a week after I purchased the vehicle. They told me to keep my old van with the lift until I could get it transferred over. Then they told me about a $1k rebate from Toyota for putting the lift in the van. Then they allowed the Mobility Tech to work in their bays since it was so cold. Again above and beyond! I definitely would recommend this great dealership to everyone!! My Toyota Camry would speed up to max speed when I put my foot down on the brake. This happened several times and almost killed me and my mom. Andy Mohr Toyota tried to blame me instead of fixing it. Do NOT recommend this dealership at all. We purchased an older used car from them, it had a clean car fax but it did have the check engine light on. We were assured it was just a cylinder misfiring and adjusted our purchase cost accordingly. When we took it to be fixed, none of the air filters or fluids had ever been replaced. There were leaks that would not have been visible without getting underneath the car. Our sales associate Ibrahim was nice enough but both he and the manager stated they "didn't know much about cars" ... just seemed like an odd thing for car salesmen to say? Certainly wish we had walked away from this purchase. The cost of fixing this car was nearly what we spent on it. Totally unacceptable. When I called them to express my concerns I got an apology and an offer for 35% off to have them fix it. Total scam, clearly they do not care about the cars or customers. Yesterday 03/26/19, I bought a used car, the salesman, Wayne Kidd, was very informative, helpful and friendly, nothing but "kiddos"! On the other hand Mr Potter, Sales Manager , was NOT at all friendly. I had a very hard time trying to make him understand why I had to pay $299 for a thief insurance. I had already bought the required full comprehensive, per their insistence if I wanted the car. I am the type of person who's loud when agitated.
