Oh my goodness! I have been longing for, craving, searching high and low for really good, high quality, authentic, incredibly tasty Chinese food for (like) ever. And I found it at Andy's Kitchen! I travel a lot on business and happened to be staying in Folsom for the night hen I came across Andy's Kitchen through Yelp. I ordered vegan takeout and was in Nirvana while dining on their food. Everything was prepared exceptionally, with the highest quality ingredients. And the flavor! Over the moon. One of my favorite dishes before becoming vegan used to be Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Andy's had Salt & Pepper Tofu on the menu and it was incredible. The cubes of tofu were not coated, but somehow crispy on the outside and delicately creamy inside. The seasoning was perfection! Just the right amount of salt and pepper, jalapeno slices and delicate sauce (perhaps mild vinegar). It was wonderful! Oh! And I had their Veggie Chow Mein. It was spectacular! Both the veggies and noodles had that delicious and delicate hint of charred flavor that is indescribable and haunting. Again, seasoning perfection. I have been back twice now and have tried many of their vegetarian/vegan dishes and loved each and every one. Now I'm making excuses to stay in Folsom, or at least pass through as much as possible. And lastly, the staff have been so friendly and kind. It is so fun to see them each time. This is perfect Chinese takeout to me!!! We got shrimp fried rice, chicken chow mein, salt and pepper ribs, green beans, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour pork and everything was perfection. I felt like the ingredients were a step above the usual takeout quality and crispy things stayed crispy even using door dash and letting it sit for awhile. We're from Oakland so we have plenty of Asian eats but I wish we had a place as good as this nearby! read more

There's not much good Chinese food in Folsom but I must say hands down Andy's kitchen is the bomb! I've never had smokey fired fried rice but now that I've been exposed to it, I don't want any other fried rice. They are on point every time. You wil not be disapointed. This was our first time here and we had no idea what to expect. I was told great things but the ambiance is that of fast food. I thought it was going to be a sit down restaurant. But that's fine the problem was the food. Never have I had such oily Chinese food. Flavor was bland. And when I asked for chili paste they told me they didn't have it but when I went to the bathroom I saw two huge bottles of chili paste on the rack. We were on the way home from Lake Tahoe, and the kids were getting hungry and angry when we stop by in Folsom getting gas, so we want some Chinese food! I just want some rice! Bz I won't expect that we will get any good Chinese food over there! Surprised!!!!! We found Andy's Kitchen!!! And I will say they have the best Chinese American food which I had ever try! My wife and I were craving some Chinese food, and since I had not tried Andy's Kitchen, I thought we'd take a chance. We both thought the food was really not very good. The Sichuan beef was VERY salty, practically inedible. In fact, we threw it out. The Kung Pao chicken was rather bland and the sweet and sour pork was passible, but very heavily breaded. Andy's Kitchen is amazing! I have lived in the sacramento area for 17 years and my husband Devin and I have not been able to find a great Chinese restaurant. We found an outstanding restaurant in Andy's Kitchen! We went all out and tried a bunch of items. The wonton appetizer was delicious, as was the wonton soup. Also, the chow mein, sesame chicken and general Pao chicken were incredible, the best ever. My husband loved Andy's egg foo yung, totally beautiful and even better than our bay area favorite. Tried Andy's last night for take-out. We did not phone ahead and were walk-ins. Service was fast, friendly and well packaged. We had the garlic noodles, salt and pepper fish, shrimp broccoli and pork buns. Everything was hot and very delicious. Loved the salt and pepper fish!! Top quality Chinese food you can get! Quite the higher price but it's worth every penny. I got the sesame chicken and it was delicious, only downside is several pieces are on the smaller side so it's more crunchy than meaty. Mapo Tofu was even better, was tasty and had a nice spicy kick to it but is not that spicy and there is no Sichuan peppercorn in it which isn't that important. They use silken tofu so it falls apart in your mouth. It's a great main or side dish to share with others. read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant yesterday. I have been looking for Dim Sum and "real" Chow Fun. We found it. Andy's makes their own Steam Pork Soup Dumplings, Shumai, Har gow and BBQ Pork Bun all of which we tried. (They have lots more Dim Sum dishes). We can definitely say that the Shumai and Har gow was the best we have had. We used to go to San Francisco for Dim Sum, but we found the best here in Folsom. I finally found "real" Chow fun noodles which Andy's has delivered daily. We had it prepared with Black bean sauce with chicken. Don't miss out on this fantastic restaurant. read more
