Every time I'm in the area I will stop and so should you!! Pizzas are amazing and "oh my" to the pasta dishes. Fan favorite is the ziti . It's a hole in the wall gem. Service has been great every time . So satisfying. I highly recommend!!

There's a lot to unpack here. Angela's definitely has a cult-like following in Islip. It was always a little far for me growing up, there were just 12-13 closer pizzerias. But I remember hearing great things. I've gone a few times now. I enjoy it, my wife does not. Which hinders my ability for repeat visits haha. Many people rave about the sauce. I think it's pretty good, not my fave. But sauce is a highly subjective business. Where they really excel is the variety of options. They have tons of specialty pies. A cornucopia of pizzas to pick from. Garlic knot crusts? You got it. A half pizza half calzone monstrosity. No problem. The tough thing with a pizza calzone hybrid is it takes a while to cook the plump calzone half, usually resulting in an over cooked pizza half. That was the case with this bad boy. The bottom was rough at best. But it was fun! A novelty item I wanted checked off the list. Will I get it again, probably not. Am I glad I did, hell yea.

Whenever I come across a consensus best restaurant I can't help but hold them to a high standard, in this case Angela's lives up to the standard set. This place is situated on a relatively quiet local road, it's rather small with about 4 tables inside and maybe 4 outside and 3 employees running the show at the time I was there. I went with their hot honey pepperoni slice and their chicken bacon ranch slice. The hot honey pepperoni pizza I noted has been trending online lately so I wanted to give it a shot. The crust on this thing was THICK so if you like bread you'll love this. I however wish the ratio of topping to crust was a bit more equal, aside from that this slice was a total flavor bomb. Salty pepperoni, sauce, and hot honey. Sweet and salty. A tried and true combo. I will note that there wasn't much spice at all but that may be for the better. The chicken bacon ranch was LOADED and tasted superb, I loved that the chicken was not dry at all as opposed to some places I've been to for a cbr slice. Oh yeah and the slices are MASSIVE. It took me a while to actually finish these slices over the course of the day but I did and I enjoyed every bit. I was super impressed with this pizzeria, so much so I think it might be my new go-to spot.

Okay this has been one of my go to's since I was a child and I completely forgot about it until the other day when I stopped in for a plain slice. Their sauce is just PHENOMENAL. It's sooo sweet and tangy I love it! Their plain slice was thin and just slightly burnt, how I enjoy it, maybe grandma allá vodka was lacking a little in flavor but the dough and the service well made up for it. I haven't been to this spot in forever but will eh dragging my boyfriend towards coming here over Gio's from now on.

This was the coolest and most unique pizza I've ever had and I want more! The service was great, super friendly and got the food out quick. It's non stop busy in here and it's fantastic. Place is cash only and used to have good food, but now it was just overpriced and okay. I've had better pizza, although, I haven't found a better place nearby yet. Pizza Parm is on Main St. in Islip and their pizza is horrible. I would recommend Angela's over Pizza Parm. read more

Definitely one of the best pizza places in the area, I've never seen such a big selection of slices, from the chicken bacon ranch to the vodka pie, the rainbow cookie ice cream is to die for and you gotta try the Islip avenue slice burrata vodka sauce and Prosciutto it's like a piece of heaven on a plate read more

I have been coming here for the past 10 years. This family owned pizzeria is a highlight of Islip. We love that they're old fashioned, from only accepting cash, to the use of the old fashioned cash register. The pizza never disappoints and their chicken parm hero is huge and delicious. For a passer by this little mom and pop pizza shop may not seem like much but what this place lacks in looks it more than makes up for in taste. The amount of love and care they bake into each and every pie and dish is incomparable to anything my mouth has ever had the luxury of tasting. This is a straight up pizzeria. Nothing Fancy with pictures of an Italian Village no stucco walls or ivy hanging from cabinets. Its just motha effin pizza. The Sicilian was 5 stars regular more like 2. The sauce was probably top 5 I have ever had. You can tell it was made by the lady behind the counter...no doubt about it. The Dark kind that's not sweet. Thats my kind! CASH ONLY! and no Fancy slices for you fancy people....."UMM Like can I get a Taco Slice no dressing?" Been coming here since I was 10 and it hasn't changed a bit. Heavy pizza has lots of sauce and cheese on nice and crispy dough. The flavor of the sauce is awesome and, like I said, hadn't changed after all these years. Definitely one of my favorite pizza places. Just note it's cash only. read more

There has to be hundreds of pizza places on this island but thank god I live down the road from this one! I could eat here every night there's not one thing on the menu I haven't tried and loved the regular slice and silican are the best on the island the sauce is fresh you could just tell one you bite into one. What gets me once a week is the eggplant Parm hero tho it's not deep fried and breaded tho it's in dipped in olive oil which is rare to me, most places are fried. The calzones are huge easily a three night meal so when in doubt I'm always going down to see Sal and the family at Angelas. read more

This is probably the best pizza place in Islip and its surrounding area. The Sicilian pizza is awesome and the sauce they use is great. Almost everything they make is fresh to order. Just watch out for the garlic knots, even when you ask for easy on the garlic, it comes smothered in it. read more

Let me preface my review by saying that I consider myself a "Pizza Snob". I actually get frustrated when I eat sub-par pizza, which is definitely not the case here... My sister turned me on to Angela's pizza when I got home from college back in 1989. Angela's Pizza has remained my favorite pizza for over 22 years mainly because of their sauce - it tastes like no place else!!! My regular order is always one "regular" and one Sicilian slice (from the middle). This gives me the full effect. Not to discount the regular, but I save the Sicilian for last because I like it better (I am salivating as I type this). The Sicilian crust is about 3/4" thick and sponge-like. Some might consider it undercooked, but it's heaven to me. Sal and his family have owned the establishment as long as I've been going, and it's their consistency for making great tasting food that has allowed then to stand the test of time. PS - I'm not a fan of eggplant, but my Mom and sister are IN LOVE with their eggplant parmigiana as well as their pizza. read more

Been coming here for the last six years and every time I decide to order a traditional pizza parlor pie from any other place in the area I immediately regret it. There is love put in their sauce because it's just a distinct taste that I can't get over and their CRUST seasoned to perfection. They don't carry any frills with a ton of speciality slices but the sausage they use on their pizza is the best I've ever had. Thinly sliced and the edges crispy when it's right out of the oven. Yikes I want a slice right now! To boot the father son duo who run this place are the sweetest guys ever. read more

Our usual Friday pizza spot. Amazing variety of slices to go with their regular which is great as well. The owners are fantastic. Ordered spaghetti carbonara today and added chicken, which was mistakenly left out. Instead of just giving us the chicken, which we would've been fine with and suggested ourselves, they insisted on making us an entire fresh dish. Just goes to show how great their customer service is. Highly recommend to anyone. read more

As Yogi Berra might have said....If youve been here before, youve never been here! Ive been coming to Angelas for 30 years and thought it was great, now its AMAZING! The new owner Vinnie and his family have done such an awesome job....every kind of pizza you can imagine and each one better than the other. The decor has been vastly improved and its become such a great, cozy spot to enjoy high quality, top notch food. In addition to vastly expanding their pizza selection, the awesome garlic knots and calzones that the previous regime was known for are still there! The heroes and dinners are fantastic as well. Has the MOST AMAZING SCILIAN PIZZA & SAUCE TO DIE FOR!!! I've been loving and eating that pizza since 1994 and the recipe has not ever changed! Even when I moved out of the Islip area at least I would pick up in the area and bring it out East. Now that I'm in Connecticut whenever I'm down visiting I always have to stop in and get at least a slice of Sicilian to remind me how amazing that pieces and what I'm missing and how I cannot wait to move back to Long Island! Ive been eating Angelas pizza since i was a child. I moved away to West Babylon where a good pizza is very hard to find. Recently i moved back to Islip. Im so happy that they are still in business. Brought a tear to my eye that first bite of my first slice in years. Every bite reminded me of my childhood. It was so awesome seeing the family still working together. When ordering to receive delivery usually wait time is about 45 minutes. Every order I have placed with them has been great. Pizza is good but the customer service given by the owner is despicable. He has to be on coke or some form of substance to treat his employees and customers with such little regard and respect. Disgusting human being tonight was my second encounter with his nasty animosity towards an older Hispanic gentleman he was very demeaning, disrespectful and made myself and the gentleman uneasy. I've witnessed him degrade his own staff, told the gentlemen you come here for pizza do not ask me where I'm from it doesn't matter. Not sure if he's racist or so far gone on his coke but I will not be supporting a small business as long as he's running it. Small business rely on community and the relationship with his staff and customers speaks volume to his character. I feel bad for his wife and family members if this is who they have to live with and deal with. read more

This is one of the best pizzerias you will find on Long Island. The pizza sauce is so amazingly good. The crust on the pizza is always crunchy and actually has flavor not like other pizzerias were it's all white flour with not taste. I love how they do not have 50 different kinds of pizza sitting out. Every topping is put on freshly! The pasta dishes are big enough for 2 -3 people. The homemade pasta sauce is again, delicious. The people that work there are the nicest family you will ever meet. Sal, Joe, and Mama Francesca will always greet you with a warm smile. Cash only is the only downfall but does not stop me from coming here!! Trust me - Angela's will not dissapoint you! If you're looking for good food and GOOD QUALITY! This place is seriously the real deal. A real gift. One of the last unknowns. You like Ray's? Try it. On long Island no less. Islip of all places. Back off pizza police. Few drive 60 miles for a slice so for walking distance. Yum yum but bring extra coin. Definately worth it. Order one slice. You can always go back for more. Oh...and you won't see them out but try their garlic knots you never had them like this. But hurry up family can't get their shit together just like all families without light. Oh and being cash. Not only is their pizza delicious, but the catering service is great as well. Last minute changes in plans for a family reunion led me to contact Vinny, the owner of Angela's Pizza and ask if they can come up with two full trays of food, which they did for me. I ordered half redsauce and half reg sausage and peppers, and a full tray of meatballs. They were a hit at the party. I can't thank them enough for coming through in such short notice while still offering me quality food. I definitely recommend Angela's pizza, you won't be let down. read more

I agree with the other reviewer, easily the best pizzeria in Islip. The owner and his family speak a Sicilian dialect of Italian to each other so it really adds to the authenticity of what is already really great food. The sauce is incredible, not too sweet and they use a decent amount unlike some other places where you can't even tell if they put any on the pie. The heros are honestly the best I've ever had. The pizza itself, regular or Sicilian, easily rivals anything in NYC. read more

Cool guys and old school owners. Fantastic pizza. Probably one the best on the Island, especially in Suffolk County. The sauce is distinct and sweet. It's different and saucy. The crust is crisp and crunchy. Make sure you hit up an ATM because it's cash only. read more
