Called in for a large pie during dinner hours and it was ready in 15 minutes. The sauce is sweet as stated by previous reviews, and am sadly not that big of a fan of that. It also lacked that NYC flavor that I love. It did however have a ton of Italian spices on the pie which was nice. $15 for a large pie. They also only accept cash. If it wasn't for that specific NYC flavor that I crave, this place wouldn't be to bad. read more

It was a great spot, nice place clean with a great staff pizza just didn't meet my qualifications crust was a little to crunchy for me and I didn't like the sauce. Maybe next time when I'm in the area I will try it again and have better experience. read more

I come here every time I leave my dentist office which is across the street. The slices are great, but I am in love with their spaghetti and meatballs. They are a little on the slow slide but definitely worth it. You can tell that all of their food is made from real ingredients and with care. Love! read more

I spend time in this part of Long Island for work once a month or so and we end up here frequently. I have to say, the pizza here is very good. Last time, I had the meatball parm sandwich, which was excellent. Fresh and chewy with lots of gooey cheese. I would not hesitate to return! read more

We moved to Islip in 1984 and on that first night of moving in, hungry and exhausted, we stumbled on Angela's. We've been a fan ever since! The pizza is the best! When I get pizza elsewhere I am reminded of how good Angela's actually is. We are also huge fans of their heros, particularly the meatball parm, with the tenderest, tastiest meatballs! I ordered an eggplant parm hero and a meatball parm hero. The eggplant parm hero was the WORST of my life. The eggplant was not breaded like a traditional eggplant parm, it lacked cheese and the bread cut the roof of my mouth. Because the eggplant was not properly cooked and breaded, the hero was extremely watery and oily; the eggplant was mushy and slipped off the bread. It almost seemed like the chef ran out of breaded eggplant and threw raw eggplant on bread and smothered it in oil to make a mock parm hero. I worked at an authentic Italian pizzeria and restaurant for years, the cook would never let a hero like that leave the building. The meatball parm hero was extremely dry. The meatballs didn't taste right and the sandwich lacked adequate cheese and sauce. First time ordering from here and it will be the last time. read more

Awesome Pizza. Really nice owners, fluent Italian spoke there. Literally awesome. I live in the Holbrook area, and when I order pizza from around here, I always have the parmesan cheese, and seasonings ready to go with the pizza. I ordered half meatball pizza, garlic knots and a pizza hero. from Angies, I was out in Islip. This pizza did not need any added flavor. The slice of meatball was like eating a meatball hero. The garlic knots, totally delicious. The pizza hero to die for. From now on it is only angies pizza for my family. My all-time favorite pizzeria! Started going there when I was a kid. I brought my children there, too. The sauce is divine. Asked the owner for her recipe and the only thing she would tell me is that she imports her tomatoes from Italy. Her husband told me once that he lived in Rome before coming to America. Definitely my favorite pizza place. Like other reviews say, their Sicilian pizza is THE BEST I've ever had! The crust is absolutely perfect, lightly crispy on the bottom with a nice layer of sauce, topped with perfectly browned cheese. There are countless pizzerias on Long Island but I've yet to try one with a sauce as delicious as Angela's. I must say, the sauce makes a HUGE difference! Ever since I've tried this place, anywhere else seems the same! Their round pies are great too. Plus the calzones are huge! The heroes are delicious as well, I love their eggplant Parmesan.
