    Prosciutto di Parma DOP Sandwich
    Star J.

I have been craving pa-shoot (Brooklyn accent) for the past month. I'm so glad I decided to satisfy that craving here. The staff was welcoming and lovely. I was fortunate enough to have a server named Arion meaning "moon creature on high." If you meet him you will understand how fitting that name is. Positive vibrations yeah! Positive! I usually don't like doing sidewalk seating but this place makes the sidewalk kinda grotto-like. When I ordered the cappuccino to go from here some time back I found it a little diluted but the one I had today was perfection. And omg that prosciutto burrata arugula balsamic sandwich! Yesssssssss...

Angelini Alimentari is honestly a breath of fresh air. We last minute yelped a spot to eat in the neighborhood we were in and boy are we glad that we did! It is a cute little cafe and very very Italian. The food itself is delicious! The chopped salad was bomb, the prosciutto toast was delicious, and the pasta was very simple yet still amazing. The best was the porchetta! Maybe you only care about dessert. Well, I am happy to say that the gelato was also great! Very velvety and caramel-y. Not super sweet which is a plus in my book. The people at angelina alimentari are amazingly nice. They have a few high chairs and the back area is very kid friendly.

Amazing pistachio gelato topped with chopped pistachios and honeycomb candy! The gelato was so delicious, not too sweet, and the perfect consistency. The chopped pistachios added a nice crunch and the honeycomb was definitely a nice addition. The portion size was also generous! It was a perfect treat to enjoy on a warm spring day.

This review is for the gelato and pastries and I have one thing to say... Ahmazing! The gelato was creamy and rich. We tried three different flavors: hazelnut, mixed berry, and mint chocolate chip. They were all so delicious that it's hard to name a favorite but I am ruling hazelnut the winner. The pastries were also delicious. Perfect sizes too. They were rich so too much could send you straight into a food coma with little chance of making a comeback. I also want to note how wonderful the employees were. I walked in with two kids and they were beyond nice to the kiddos. Loaded us all up on so many samples and they did it with huge smiles on their faces and even asked us what we though. Based on the quality of both food and service I am definitely coming back soon to try the breakfast and brunch plates. I imagine that they must be amazing. Oh and it's street parking so have change for the meter!

We came here Sunday for lunch. No dine in at the formal interior at lunch time yet. The courtyard tables were all taken; but it's equally relaxing sitting at an outdoor sidewalk table, right across the street from the famed El Coyote. Our pets loved to people watch from the comfy artificial lawn. Service was professional and brisk. The Antipasti of tricolore and arugula salads were fresh and refreshing. The Bolognese pasta was exceptional with wonderful house tagliatelle soaking up the perfectly seasoned meaty ragu. The Pasta Norma with Eggplant was equally delizioso! The breakfast eggs purgatorio came with a superb pomodoro sauce. Our side order of crunchy garlic bread was just the right to mop up all the sauces The tuna panino was very good as well. Great food, great service made it a wonderful lunch!

Ok so, everyone knows and loves the evening option...Angelini Osteria. That's a FACT. Let's now talk about the amazing day time option...Angelini Alimentari! Stopped by for a quick lunch on my way to the west side and I'm so happy I did! I had the chopped salad which was absolutely amazing. My friend got the salmon plate it's a gorgeous looking plate and so healthy. Really high quality food. Finished off the meal with an espresso and Nutella chocolate tart in the front patio seating area. Both were delicious. Plenty of street parking in the area and quick service. Can't wait to go back this weekend have brunch or lunch again! So many things to try on the menu and if I had to bet- all of them are probably delicious. Enjoy!

Perfect for this hot summer day! The pistachio is my fave but this new lemon pear sorbet is hot fire.

Now open for dinner!!! :) I have been to Osteria next door several times, but it is difficult to get reservations and is so crowded! Before they opened for dinner, I'd pass by the Alimentari space and it was so cute that I was sad that they don't open till later - I'm so glad that they decided to! They have some of the same items on the menu for dinner at Alimentari, like the lasagna verde (which I always order for people who are trying Angelini for the first time) and the tagliolini al limone. Some of my fave items (lunch or dinner) are the chop salad, porchetta sandwich, hanger steak (tastes smoky because of all the cocoa powder and dark stuff they rub it with), and meatballs! I have a strange pork and meatball obsession so my faves may be a little skewed. XP It looks like I will have to take a pic of the menu the next time I go and post it on yelp. Hope that helps people! Parking is pretty available around the area. I love the outdoor space - super cute for brunch/lunch and it's not so crowded like other brunch places. Great food, great coffee, Zumex OJ, great pastries, awesome gelato - it is perfect! The lattes are so so so good here. and their pink cups are so cute. :P I also broke my diet to eat their cannoli once. T_T

My friends live by here and wanted to stop by for a quick lunch. When you walk in, you get this cafe/diner feel to it but with a more modern and welcoming look to it. I love the open kitchen where you can see them prepping the food. I tried the Chicken Battuta Panino and it was prepared really well. The chicken breast was moist, the avocado gave it a nice creamy texture, the crispiness from the bacon gave it a nice texture without overpowering it, and the ciabatta was light enough to hold it together. I tried some of my other friends' food and it had the same style to it. We liked this place so much that we can back the next day to try some more of their food. I tried the Hanger Steak Piadina and it also did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to a nice medium, it broke apart on every bite, not leaving pieces meatless areas in the panino and the simple flavors of the argula and cherry tomatoes were complementing. The food didn't taste heavy and was very well prepared. The staff is all super friendly and they even remembered us from the previous day. The food did not take long to come out either. Seating is limited here with maybe 10 seats inside, a front and rear patio. This place is fairly new, so I can only see it getting busier as it gains popularity. i'll be back here for more when I come visit my friends.

    Best gelato in town!

I love this little extension of its parent, Angelini Osteria, right next door. You can't miss this place with the giant ice cream cone sculpture in front screaming for a selfie. Staff is warm and generous. There is a great selection of Italian food products for you to take home like the limone cream sauce. Fresh baked pastries are like little treasures, delicate and delicious. If you're craving their famous Lasagna Verde, you can grab it here for dining in or takeout. But can we talk about their gelato? I'm an ice cream queen and have been disappointed by the gelato scene in LA. All I can say is that I'm glad this place closes early and is not too close to me or I'd be gaining weight in ice cream every day. The sweet, cold dessert is made in-house by Ezio Perego. There are no BS flavors with chocolate sauce drizzles and other crap that scream American candy bar! Flavors are rich, natural with a smooth consistency. It's the BEST I've had outside of Europe. Must flavors to try: mint chocolate chip with real mint mixed in, gianduja (chocolate hazelnut) or the nocciola (hazelnut), and pistacchio. Grazie to Gino (co-owner/manager)! You know I'll be back often. Might I suggest a gelateria that's open through the night in the future?

Small dainty spot that looks nice inside. I would avoid going in a large party due to it's small occupancy. Food SALMON SANDWICH - avocado, lettuce, mayo, smoked salmon on toasted bread. This dish is amazing. Tastes so delicious and is not too salty and not too bland. The avocado definitely made it really great. Would order it again. MEATBALL SUB - standard meatball sub on ciabatta bread and cheese. Sandwich was a bit dry and did not taste too good. Was told that this is a popular item and it was disappointing. Dessert Gelato & Nutella Cannoli- Gelato was pretty decent. Would recommend pistachio and the cannoli was really yummy.

The space is bright, airy, and full of greenery, with a greenhouse-style bar in the middle that immediately gives the room some personality. We went during a busy brunch, but it still felt relaxed enough to settle in and catch up. My friend went with the mimosa flight, while I was facing the classic brunch dilemma of needing caffeine and a cocktail simultaneously. Thankfully, the Havana Espresso Martini exists. Crisis averted. I ordered The Country Breakfast with eggs, Impossible sausage, fingerling potatoes, a buttermilk biscuit, and arugula. It was a generous plate and much more filling than I expected. The biscuit was especially good, with that golden, flaky top that made it hard not to finish. My friend ordered the Lemon Lavender Waffles, and they looked every bit as good as they sounded. They came with macerated cherries, whipped vegan cream, and maple syrup. I liked that the menu had plenty of plant-forward options without making brunch feel overly virtuous. Everything still felt fun and indulgent enough for a weekend meal. I'd happily come back. Between the brunch menu and how inviting the space is, I can see why this place stays busy.

I didn't look up what type of restaurant this is but contrary to the name the butchers daughter turned out to be vegan. no worries I actually enjoyed the surfers burrito - very filling and the salsa it came with was so good I asked for extra. My server recommended what I ordered so they know their stuff. I sat outside so it was a great seat to people watch. If you're vegan definitely check it out.

It was also about 45 minutes before closing and I HATE being a before-closing person, but I was ordering a cold sandwich so I figured at least I wasn't making anyone fire anything up. I couldn't decide between the Di Parma and Verona. They asked if we were sharing, we said yes, so they recommended the Di Parma. There's outdoor seating but it's too busy of a street for me to enjoy being out there. Also inside has AC. It's so fucking hot in LA right now that this sandwich might actually save your life. The handmade burrata makes the whole thing super refreshing. I did end up taking out some of the arugula and pistachios because it started feeling like a little too much was going on in there, but after that it was exactly what I wanted. So yeah, during this heat, if you can find parking--or for some reason you're walking around outside in this shit--stop and get a refreshing sandwich.
