This place is amazing! Parking lot is rough, but the restaurant's interior in no way matches the exterior. It's an old school restaurant that's well kept and clean. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. The drinks were good, with a decent selection of bourbon. The fried pizza was more epic and amazing then my wildest dreams, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking for a novelty. My table got pasta and seafood. Those were excellent. There are a lot of great places in Naperville, even Louie's in the same parking lot, but I'm coming back here for my birthday. read more

We hag a great experience recently at Angeli's. I made reservations for 7 adults and asked if they could accommodate a person with a wheelchair or walker. They were very nice about the request and when we arrived it was obvious they had thought thru where to seat us. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make the experience good for all of us. The food was very good and we all have a wonderful time. read more

My husband's car broke down and I went to pick him up. While we were waiting for AAA to tow, we decided to seek shelter here down the street at Angeli's. Unfortunately, after having some bread and water- as soon as the waiter came to introduce himself and take our order, we got the call that the tow truck arrived. We had to leave in a rush but offered to pay for the bread. He was so nice and said it was alright but probably thought we were lying or crazy. Luckily the guy towing just took the car and keys to drop in an overnight box at a local shop so we were able to quickly return back to the restaurant since I was eyeing their caprese salad. They were so friendly and brought us right back to our original spot. It was Wednesday so we got half off apps and tried the caprese salad and toasted ravioli- both amazing! The mozzarella was so smooth and the tomatoes were thinly slices and served with mini tongs for us to share the dish. The toasted ravioli was like a delicious adult mozzarella stick. Loved it! Then we shared a penne vodka which was extra creamy and cheesy. Paired with their table side bread- perfection. We will be back- on purpose this time and we promise to stay. read more

From the moment we walked in and asked for a table we didn't feel welcomed. The tall blonde hostess was upset we didn't have a reservation and didn't want to seat us at all. It was 4:30 and only 2 tables were sat. The other hostess found us a table with no problem and was very nice. We were going to leave but we were in a hurry. Every time we go there that lady has an attitude. She needs to sharpen up her people skills. The food and waiter were great though. read more

If I could give Angeli's 10 Stars I would! The food is out of this world (especially the tilapia piccata, meatballs, pasta with peas, grilled calamari, shrimp dijon, eggplant parm, pasta sauce is on the sweeter side and Oh, so yummy)! Their wine list is great too! The creamy garlic salad dressing is homemade and best salad dressing u will ever taste! I promise! I am hungry just thinking bout their food. We went to Angeli's for the first time last night. We've driven past this place a million times, but thought it was just a pizza place. It's not! And it may now be our favorite Italian restaurant. The fried calamari was good and the marinara sauce was outstanding. I had the crab ravioli. The ravioli was tender, the lobster cream sauce was rich and flavorful and it was loaded with scallops and shrimp! Hubby had the veal marsala. He loved it. The portions were large (we both brought home leftovers) and the service was great. We'll definitely be back! read more

Only complaint has to do with bottle wine prices, had a bottle of Joel Gott Cabernet, it retail at Jewel for $15.00, Angeli's charged $49.00, seems extreme. Most restaurants mark up bottle price by 2X retail, not 3X+ retail. They do have some $30+ alternatives. read more

Many pretty hanging flower baskets outside. The Restaurant is located in a strip mall so it helped... made it more welcoming. Inside... Lights strung up... Murals of Italy... red and white checkered tablecloths... Lots of loud conversation... very charming. We were greeted by Abby. Great server... Friendly and professional! All that said... The main reason for the 5 stars was the food!!! Everything we ordered was excellent... From the salad/soup... To the entrees... To the desserts (see pix). The prices were fair... Recently had a baby shower at Angeli's and it couldn't have been better. When looking for a venue I wanted to find somewhere that would hold over 70 people but did not want the price of a banquet hall as well as I wanted a more intimate setting. Angeli's was able to host my private event during a Sunday early afternoon before the restaurant opened. The staff was so accommodating, the food was great, & they made great suggestions (like changing the tablecloths to white). Would definitely recommend Angeli's for a private party. read more

Fantastic first time experience here. Classic casual Italian atmosphere, kind of an old school vibe. Our waiter Justin walked us through the menu really well (because everything sounded so good we didn't know what to order!) We started with the appetizer trio, the bruschetta was very good, classic. The toasted ravioli was great with melted mozzarella in the middle and the calamari had a nice thin breading. Soup comes with pasta so that was next, clam chowder was excellent! Very flavorful. Then the 3 pastas, we went with the recommended cream sauces. Fettuccine with creamy pesto, very good but very pesto-y so you've got to really like that. Pasta with peas had a fantastic vodka sauce. The carbonara was the best of the bunch. So rich and delicious. We will be back! read more

This is such a great hidden gem! I didn't expect such a cute and warm restaurant in this little strip mall. It has an upscale vibe without being too fancy or pretentious. They can substitute any pasta dish with gluten free pasta which is really nice! I had a really good salmon dish but the capers were too strong. This is a go-to date spot for my boyfriend and me. The service is unbeatable and it often feels like you're being treated like family. Our favorite dishes are the pasta and peas and the chicken parmigiana. While I've also had the delicious chicken vesuvio, pizzas, and other pasta options, I personally can't pass up the pasta and peas now. read more

I get it, you're understaffed. Instead of compensating us for waiting 1 hour for our kids pizza, we are simply told that the manager didn't know if it was the servers fault or kitchens fault and couldn't not compensate us because of this. All I know is that it wasn't our fault. The sever said buying us ice-cream for the kids was the absolute least they could do and when we declined the ice-cream, because it is past our kids bedtime, NOTHING was done. Angeli's was "my" pick for our monthly dinner with the MIL. After last month's disappointing experience, I was apprehensive about my selection. Luckily for me, our expectations were met and my choice was validated. We arrived around 7:15 or so on Friday night. We had a brief ten minute wait, so we stood in the bar. The bar area is beautiful, and was full of patrons enjoying appetizers, drinks, and the Blackhawks game. When our table was ready, a nice gentleman (who I presume to the be owner) escorted us to our table. Now, yes- the dining area is extremely crowded. You can almost brush elbows with the neighboring tables. Luckily we had a table against the wall so it wasn't so bad. And yes, it's a bit dated. But I loved the lights strung across the dimly lit room; it created quite a cozy and romantic atmosphere. Our waitress was Tiffany. We browsed the menu (which contains more items on it than the online version), ordered our drinks and decided to place our appetizer order at the same. We tried: Artichoke Alfredo - a HUGE platter of artichoke hearts and Parmesan cheese in an Alfredo sauce, with slices of garlic toast for dipping. This was so incredibly good! The garlic toast was perfectly crisp and the dip itself was flavorful and the perfect temperature. Antipasto Della Casa - a nice assortment of green olives, peppadew peppers, cheeses, and meats (salami and capicola, I believe). There was a small bunch of purple grapes as well. The fruit was fresh, the quality meats and cheeses were savory, and the peppadews were amazing. They were the mild variety, so they were sweet with barely detectable heat. Grilled Calamari - Oh. My. GAWD. This had to be the best appetizer I've ever had. The calamari was grilled perfectly and was garnished with capers and tomatoes in a lemon butter sauce. I could have eaten this stuff all night. Highly, highly recommended! All of the appetizers are large portions, no stinginess here. It's easy to fill up on them alone. Tiffany returned to take our entree orders, and although I had my eye set on a particular menu item, I decided to try something off of their "Sneak Preview" menu, which are new items to be introduced this year. Entrees: Chicken Giardiniera -Two enormous breaded, boneless chicken breasts in a garlic wine sauce. Sitting atop a large bed of angel hair pasta, the dish is generously sprinkled with a house made giardiniera. While the giardiniera was described as semi-spicy, I thought it was very flavorful but not spicy. But that's my taste buds. I opted for the house salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing over the soup choices. Filet Pepe Verde - a grilled filet sitting in a beautiful pool of Brandy cream sauce and garnished with peppercorns. This was M's pick, and he chose the pasta e fagioli soup (no "rabbit food" for him). Crab Ravioli - this was my MIL's entree. The ravioli is topped with shrimp, scallops, and peapods in a lobster cream sauce. She decided to have a house salad with a garlic dressing. The salads and soup arrived and we dug in. The salads were fresh, crisp, and refreshing. M stated the soup was quite good, but didn't finish it, trying to save room for his entree. Our meals arrived about ten minutes after we finished the salads and soup, which was perfect. We managed to eat as much as possible, but thanks to the appetizers, we hardly put a dent in our meals. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers the next day. Tiffany was wonderful. She was didn't hover over us constantly but didn't disappear for periods of time, either. The busboys kept our waters filled and promptly removed our spent appetizer dishes. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Angeli's and I look forward to returning soon. read more

I've been to Angeli's a few times now and while the food's been good, I haven't been clamoring to go back nor was I notably impressed by any dish. My first time there I got the lasagna which was good but rather plain actually. The ingredients were good but they came together to really not taste like much. It didn't help that the dish came with some steamed broccoli and carrots - plain plain and more plain. It was a decent portion, but I couldn't recommend getting it because it lacked flavor. The next time I was there, I had the penne vodka which was much better than the lasagna. It was a very good vodka creme sauce and the penne was cooked well. I would definitely get it again. I also want to comment on the atmosphere - it's really rather strange. On the one side you have a bar which is small but nice. On the other side you have these tables that are trying to be formal but end up rather strewn about the room because they are so easily moved. You also end up sitting awkwardly close to everyone around you because it's a small place. I suppose that is the homey Italian feel, but Angeli's doesn't actually have that homey Italian atmosphere, it just doesn't. read more

I have found my new favorite Italian restaurant. I can't believe I have come so long living so close to Angeli's. Quaint little place in a strip mall. But that really doesn't matter. We met a friend for her birthday, and she started by ordering the Bruschetta. Garlicy, a bit spicy, and perfect. Some of the best I have ever had. Then we ordered dinner. First of all, Toni was fantastic. She is wonderful. Her descriptions of the daily specials were great. I started with the New England Clam Chowder. AMAZING! I love Clam Chowder, and this is truly the best I have ever had. Not to thick, just right consistency, and the flavor was amazing. Just the right amount of clam and perfect amount of chowder. My dinner was the Maytag Bleu Cheese Filet with Asparagus and cheesy mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked just the way I wanted, the Bleu Cheese was perfect, and the potatoes were smooth and creamy. My wife split the Chicken Caprese with our friend and they loved it. Not too much tomato, just enough garlic, and the chicken breast was tender and juicy. We all shared a half order of the Butternut Squash Gnochi. Sweet, tender, delicious. We will definitely return. read more

A Very Good traditional italian restaurant. We ate here on a very busy Saturday night and had to wait 30 min for a table which isn't unusual for a good place like this. I would've even given it 5 stars but the food was real slow to come out. Everything else was great. Love the old world feel of the place. The wine list is a good one, waiter was excellent. I had a ravioli special which was great, not a huge portion like some places serve but just right. She had a shrimp broccoli dish in red sauce that was delicious. Having delicious food was one of the most important aspects of our wedding and we could not have been more satisfied with our decision to use Angeli's Restaurant for our wedding. We had the opportunity to work with John from Angeli's Restaurant and he was a complete pleasure to work with! He was kind, responsive and very organized. We felt completely at ease when we met with him and could tell that we were in good hands! The day of the wedding, the food was even more delicious than I remembered from our tasting! We chose 4 appetizers to serve: butternut squash gnocchi, asparagus and prosciutto, bruschetta and bacon wrapped dates! Each of these was mouth-watering good! For dinner, guests had the choice of ordering either eggplant parmesan or chicken margarita. We also served family style pasta at the dinner table. Friends and family came up to us throughout the night and exclaimed how delicious the food was and some even said the eggplant parmasean was the best they ever had! I ordered this for my meal and would have to agree! Throughout the evening John checked up with us to see if we needed anything and just made sure we were having a wonderful time. I thought this was a nice touch. His staff was also very professional and courteous. One of the staff even brought an appetizer platter out to us while we were taking pictures during our cocktail hour! Angeli's is one of our favorite restaurants! We love the food, especially the lasagna, pasta with peas (and sausage), and chicken Parmesan. The seafood choices are extensive, too, and there are always specials. Also, you have the option of choosing your pasta and then your sauce; you can't go wrong with bolognese sauce and any pasta, or with spaghetti with carbonara sauce, which is my personal favorite. One of the nicest things about Angeli's is that each entree is served with your choice of soup or salad. And, you have an option of two soups: Either minestone or pasta fagioli. That is a real value because so many restaurants today serve everything ala carte. The salad is always fresh and crunchy, and the soups are excellent, too. AND Angeli's serves wonderful, crusty, delicious, hot Italian bread with your meal. We always eat way too much of the bread, but it is so good! We usually split an order of spumoni for dessert; Angeli's has particularly good spumoni, which contains the appropriate little candied fruits that make spumoni special. There are other desserts such as a bread pudding with chocolate chips that we have not had but has been highly recommended to us (we are usually too full by the time we get to dessert to try it). The service at Angeli's is excellent, with friendly hosts, waitpersons and buspeople. And at Angeli's, they always wrap up your leftovers for you, too, which to me is kind of a classy, old-timely touch (how many restaurants do that any more?). The decor at Angeli's is perfect for an Italian restaurant - red and white checked table cloths and lovely murals on the walls depicting Italian scenes. In warm weather, you can dine al fresco at tables on a little patio area in front of the building. There is also a large bar with TV's that always seems busy. This place is amazing! We took new couple with us to Angeli's Saturday night. We came in at 6 pm with a reservation and got seated in the bar just like we asked. The server was fabulous and our experience exceeded even our expectations. We dropped $320 at our table including tip, but why I mention that is because for the money we couldn't have been happier. Let me say we had excellent grilled calamari, warm bread, four amazing entrees, a couple of bottles of wine and a cordial after dinner.
