This evening my friends and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner before heading to our local car show. We try different places and since I was here before, I recommended it. That was mistake! It's not what expected since they have Pizza flying out door. I bought, and my friend. We bought both thought it didn't taste right from two New Yorkers that crew up on NY Pizza. My pie didn't seem to taste good, or cooked correctly, and you can see I ate 1 slice and and 2 bites from another before I stopped. Sure Glad it was Personnel 10 inch cause the slice and bite I was charged in full. I also have to say I had my pet with me laying on chest away from the table when I was asked to put her on the floor. I will say not pet friendly when I asked for water and brought 12oz cup of water, not a bowl for her to drink from, good thing I brought my own bowl. We all decided will pass on return trip here, and find another place, since each week, we enjoy eating out, and have favorites just wanted to add to my short list. Ordered a large cheese pie and buffalo wings to take out. I had found a flyer on my door: For $21.95 you get the above + 2L soda. The pizza was fabulous. Having recently moved back from NY I really appreciated the chewy crispy crust, generous melty cheese, and flavorful sauce. The wings were slightly overcooked, greasy, and lacked buffalo flavor. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Didn't think it could be done but Angelo's Pizza Restaurant is the real deal. We just moved here from New York City and one of things that saddened me was the thought of not having a decent slice of pizza. You must understand that pizza is my absolute favorite food. No need to search anymore! We found the perfect spot not far from our new home. When you crave pizza you just have to have some. We decided to try Angelo's and we were not disappointed. The crust held up to the "fold in half" and see if the point doesn't droop. It did not. Next, the very first bite, crust crunchy not too thick, not too thin. Sauce had a pleasant taste and the cheese, perfect. Not too salty and just the right amount of "pull". Bite into it and you have a string of cheese to contend with. I have been a fan of Angelo's pizza from my first bite and have been back for more. It's always good, read my first review. Last night I decided to try their food. I called ahead and ordered a chicken parmigiana with pasta. I also added their house salad for two bucks more. My order was ready when I arrived. The salad is a good deal for two bucks, fresh romaine, tomato, cucumber, olives and a piece of peperoncini. The vinaigrette dressing on the side was also very good. The chicken parmigiana was perfectly cooked as was the spaghetti. The tomato sauce was not too sweet a nice marinara with chunks of tomato. They also give you some garlic knots which are very garlicky and good for sopping up the sauce. Angelo's is a keeper and a nice addition to the area. We live in Plantation and go to Angelo's for pizza. We feel that Angelo's Pizza is the best in Davie and Plantation. The pizza is thin, crispy and full of cheese just the way pizza should be made and eaten. Delicious! Their garlic rolls are also very delicious The waitress was friendly and professional, and the service was quick. My grand children will only eat Angelo's pizza! A great addition to the Davie area! Angelo's offers affordable delicious Italian food for lunch and dinner. The previous restaurant didn't have as many different varieties of offerings, but Angelo's has you covered for just about any of your Italian cravings. Today my coworker and I tried the Sicilian style pizza and a calzone. The restaurant graciously offered us some of their delicious garlic rolls since we decided to dine in. The garlic rolls rocked! Extremely fresh, likely straight out of the oven, and lots of garlic! The Sicilian pizza had an excellent crust, and there was no shortage of toppings. The calzone was perfectly baked as well. Service was exceptional. The chef came out and let us know that they would be rotating variations of the calzones and pizzas. We are looking forward to many more hot lunch dates! read more

We go to the Ft Lauderdale/Davie area only once every 90 days. We always have a lunch at Angelo's. The lovely server nonetheless recognizes us every time. Now she just asks to confirm our usual order. They have the best lunch pizza deal around - large slice of thin crust pizza which a couple of toppings of your choice, a remarkably large salad with romaine lettuce instead of iceberg, tomatoes, olives, onion, pepperoncini, and your choice of dressing, garlic knots (6 for the 2 of us with copious amounts of garlic so don't schedule your dentist appointment for afterwards) and a regular soda - all for an amount so low I'm afraid to mention it because I think they're losing money on the deal and I don't want them to get so popular for lunch it will drive them out of business! Suffice it to say you can use a Jackson for 2 orders including the tip (but please leave our server more!). Love the thin pizza, love the salad, love the garlic knots. You don't understand the love that I have for pizza and how I've been looking for a place that is New York style! On my first Yelp event I met a really nice couple and as we were talking, we realized we were both New Yorkers. He recommended Angelo's Pizza, and told me how it is a lot similar to New York Pizza. Lo and behold I ordered a pie (yes for myself) and everything about this pizza reminds me of New York. I believe the owner (may be wrong) is from Brooklyn, Ny which is where I'm from (Bensonhurst). I have never been so happy I will definitely be coming back again I just ordered a large pie for $16 which is a great price. They also offer different combos and coupons for a really great price. The cheese and the dough tastes just like New York style pizza. We moved to Davie from Ft. Lauderdale, and as everyone knows, it's tough to find a new favorite pizza place. Well, I'm going to let you in on THIS secret I found and you're going to thank me later!! The crust is nice and thin and isn't covered on the bottom with the gritty/floury stuff other places use. The ratio of sauce to cheese is spot on - Oh! speaking of cheese, they use the REAL cheese (I jokingly refer to it as the Mafia Cheese, because I'm from NJ!) The sauce isn't too sweet and the prices are better than good! Last night hubby and I decided to try a Caesar salad and the Chicken Fransaise and we loved every bite! I came here on halloween to try it out. I wanted to pick up pizza to bring home for something easy. The struggle is real when trying to find good NY style pizza in South Florida. I came here based off of yelp reviews and maybe my hopes were just a bit too high as the pizza here just didnt make the cut for me. I ordered half veggie, half supreme. They were a little cheap with the toppings, at $20 a pie I expected a bit more. The crust was good, thin a d crispy (although I did put the already cooked pizza back on a pizza stone when I got home for 10 minutes) so not sure if that had anything to do with it. The sauce was too sweet for me. I also got 10 wings hot. These were great! Spice level was perfect. read more

Tried this pizza place for the first time just a few days ago, I was really delighted with the service the and pizza that day, so much so I went again today. Unfortunately, I cannot say the experience was similar. There was a completely different staff not nearly as amicable. I went in to get my order and I planned to sit down and eat it as I arrived at 9:15 and they close at 10. When I was abruptly told I may not sit and eat because they were closing, I proceeded to say I only intended to eat outside and if that was not okay, the man said no. Moreover, it was very distasteful and disappointing, the pizza was not as good today either so I assume they're aren't very consistent. Nonetheless, not sure if I will be returning, it doesn't take very long to eat a slice of pizza and they still had other patrons seated. I surly would have been done with more than enough time.
