Stopped in and grabbed a build-your-own bowl and it absolutely delivered. Chicken was seasoned well, tender, and cooked the way you hope it will be every single time. The brown rice was fluffy, the sweet potatoes had that perfect little char, and the avocado tied everything together. What I really liked was how efficient everything felt. You can place your order at the kiosk inside or send it in ahead of time through the website, which is a huge win when your day is packed and timing matters. The line moved quickly without the food feeling rushed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean space, friendly crew, and portions that make sense whether you just finished a workout or you need something solid to power through the rest of the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're anywhere near Thomas Road and want something high protein that still tastes legit, this spot is an easy yes. My friends and I stopped by Angie's Prime Grill on a Sunday evening to pick up salads. I'm not familiar with Angie's, but they seem to be very prominent in Arizona. They had two ordering kiosks which were easy to use. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ordered our food to go but they do have a small dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of their establishments are cashless. I ordered the Cobb Salad and made some modifications: I added chicken, subbed the blue cheese with feta, subbed the blue cheese dressing with Caesar, and did half spinach/half romaine for my base. When my total came to less than $7, I thought there was an error. I've never been to a salad restaurant where entrees were under $10. With that price, you would think the portion would be very small, but it was actually very large and filling! They put a decent amount of bacon in the salad which was tasty. There was plenty of dressing for the salad and I appreciated the fact that it was in a pouch. There's nothing worse than an overdressed salad. I see why my friends enjoy coming to Angie's Prime Grill. They offer quick, inexpensive meals with healthy(ish) options.

Chicken so tough I couldn't bite or chew it

Ive been to other Angie's locations before and loved it every single time. Not this time. This chicken was so tough I couldn't even bite through it. Broccoli is both undercooked and overcooked. Rice and avocado were great. We ordered another bowl and it was the same, except cucumbers were completely forgotten. Think I will stick to the other locations I have been to. Glad this wasn't my first time trying it because I would have never been back.

For what you pay, Angie's is hard to beat--few spots deliver this level of quality per dollar. The food is consistently fresh and priced well below most competitors, and the portions are generous. While the setup minimizes interaction with staff, the team is friendly and efficient when you do need them. If you're after high-quality, nutrient-dense meals at about half the usual cost, Angie's is the place. I tried the Cobb salad with chicken and was thoroughly impressed.

This place recently had a $4.99 salad special, so I came to take advantage of the deal (only through January though)! I placed my order online and it was ready for pickup when I arrived. I did arrive 30 minutes after my scheduled arrival time, and my salad had just been sitting there on the counter. I was a little worried about it going bad, since it wasn't in a cooler or on a cold surface. But everything ended up being fine. There was parking available when I arrived at 830a on a weekday, but the restaurant is in a smaller plaza and if it's busy, parking might be harder. I ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and was really impressed with the quality of the meat. The bacon was in thick strips on the salad, it wasn't just bacon bits. The chicken was also delicious and the whole thing was just great! I would definitely order from here again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The had a really nice looking lobby to eat in at too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been sitting at St. Joseph's hospital with my hubby for a week, and couldn't bear one more day of hospital cafeteria food. One of the physical therapists mentioned Angie's Prime Grill, which is a across the street from the 3rd Ave garage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a cute black and white striped awning (I love awnings) and a couple of tables out front. When you walk in, there are three kiosks on which you order. Straight ahead are metal shelves labeled with letters of the alphabet, and a drink machine with cups next to it. There is a small dining room lined with a wood wall on one side and a mural on the other[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There is no human interaction here. You can order online or at the kiosks, but there is no person to actually take your order or your payment. I ordered and paid online ahead of time, and by the time I crossed the street and made the very short walk to Angie's, my order was done and waiting for me on the shelf. The food here seems pretty healthy. I got the Cobb bowl--brown rice, avocado, bacon, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, red onion, blue cheese, and chicken. I switched out the blue cheese sauce for blue cheese dressing. It was really, really good! Not only was it delicious, it was big (big enough for two meals for me), but it was so inexpensive! I got the meal, which includes a drink, and the Grand total was only $8.00!!!! Hubby is not scheduled to be released until the end of the month, so I'm looking forward to returning--maybe I'll have the Mexican bowl next time. FYI, you can also get your food in a grilled burrito if bowls are not your thing, and Angie's burgers are also available.

2 breakfasts 2 lunches and 2 coffees for $23 with tax!

Okay this is on my top 5 Phoenix. Completely customized bowls with protein are literally $5-$9. The ingredients are DELICIOUS, their dressings taste fresh and amazing. You cannot beat the price. This is literally cheaper than eating healthy at home and I will never shut up about this find. Order online and pickup this is a takeout spot for sure don't come in expecting amazing accommodations and a short wait time read more

Can't go wrong with the varies options and good prices here. I've tried a handful of their flavors: Asian, harvest, spicy honey ranch & bbq ranch. My fav has to be the spicy honey ranch! My partner has always gotten the mexican grilled burrito & really favors it. The guys & gals here are quick- we've ordered to-go through the kiosk before & ordered through the website. Looks like a lot of their guests does to-go orders. I thought all Angies were drive thru locations , this one is actually a restaurant, you can dine in. No drive thru. You order on the screens, no human interaction. The chicken at $4.99 right now is a great deal. Greek bowl was delicious. Would definitely eat at the concept again. read more

I've been a regular here since they opened. You really can't beat the price for a good salad or bowl at $5.99 for grilled chicken. My favorite is the cobb salad with bacon and chicken. I haven't tried the steak yet, but the chicken is good. All my co-workers love it too. The staff are friendly even though they forget the chicken with the cobb salad. read more

Amazing every time. I mean it's healthy, affordable and tasty! Depending on the time you are coming in the wait time can be long but sometimes you are lucky and it just takes 10 minutes. Great place to get takeout!! Food is a great value. Prices are extremely affordable and food is delicious. I had their Crunchwrap and imo it beats anything their competitors have produced. I also had a wrap with chicken. Their chicken and their chicken is flavorful and seasoned. Everything tasted fresh. Also when I was picking up my order, there was a lady there who was both friendly and helpful in explaining the sparkling drinks + pick up. Used to be a huge supporter of S&G. Completely messed up my order. I placed a pick up order & I ordered the Chicken Parm & Spinach Wrap. It is supposed to have Basil Pesto & Ranch. Not sure what specifically they put this time, but it is literally soaked with what I think is Balsamic Vinaigrette. Extremely off putting. I was reading up about Angie's and found out that the old owner of Salad and ago has started this concept. Looking into everything - you can see that several things are carried over from that concept. I ordered a Cobb salad with both steak and chicken, and my partner ordered a Greek salad with falafel. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service was quick and simple - and ordering was done on iPads in the entry or mobile through online ordering. We picked up our food to go and brought it home. The meal was absolutely delicious. For a stacked Cobb with double protein I only paid $12! The meat is cooked perfectly and everything was absolutely full of flavor. The location we went to had a nice sized dining area as well that made it good for people wanting to eat there. Everything was clean. You can tell that this isn't the final realized iteration of Angie's. I'm excited to see improvements in the interior as time goes on. read more

I fly they buy is what I was told...I flew, and happy I did. Angie's Prime Grill was worth it. I ordered the Mexican style bowl with Steak, and cilantro dressing. The food was very fresh and the steak had a really good flavor. I was impressed with the amount avocado given in the plate and the amount of steak was perfect. I am all in on Angie's prime. I've been to other Angie's lobster, and Angie's prime locations, which are primarily drive-through, this is more of a fast casual - sit down concept. We came on a weekend for lunch post EOS workout. I ordered a chicken bowl which I made custom. High quality chicken and other ingredients .The best $6.99 I have ever spent. And he is truly a gem. Not impressed!!! First time coming to this establishment and went to pick up my order. When I entered I asked the food prep guy that was placing food at the pickup area if my order was ready and he rudely told me to wait. He came back up and ask for the name and he said it was not ready and I had to wait. I waited about 20 mins and my order was ready. I said thank you and he said nothing. I assuming since this establishment is self -serve. I guess customer service is not a requirement from their employees. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star! I definitely will NOT be returning. read more

This is the second time trying Angie's Prime Grill. I ordered the Mexican bowl with steak twice... and twice I've had a delicious healthy meal! Fresh ingredients and the steak is cooked perfectly. Definitely going back! The ambience though, needs a bit of work. It feels cold in there. The lighting is too bright blue/white. Maybe warmer lighting in the dining area? All in all, I'm going back. I ordered a steak bowl and didn't realize until I got all the way home that there was no steak in it. I had to drive all the way back to get my order fixed. When I brought it up, the manager didn't offer anything to make it right no extra steak, no discount on a future visit, not even a real apology beyond a quick "sorry." What happened to customer service? I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice, didn't cuss anyone out. I was respectful the entire time. It's this kind of dismissive experience that pushes people to frustration and leads to customers raising their voices just to be heard. It shouldn't take being hostile to get decent service. A little effort to make things right goes a long way. Do better. read more

The creators of Salad & Go and Angie's Lobster have done it again! Pleasantly surprised with the fresh, delicious and healthy bowl I received in just under five minutes. There's certainly a lot of "bowl" competitors on the market now (Cava, Chipotle, etc) but I appreciate the unique flavors, prime cuts and generous portion sizes offered at Angie's. Love this place! You cannot beat the value! It's so easy: place online order and then run in and pick it up. You can't beat the salads for $5 and the dressing is amazing, tastes homemade. Only rec I have is to get the croutons on the side because by the time you get the salad home (we pick up in Phoenix and drive to Mesa) they're soft. read more

Delicious! Their salads and warm bowls are a great deal and so flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very small location with limited parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also a very high traffic area for lunch being right near a lot of businesses and a hospital.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would recommend what my friend did for me: order online and pickup, but plan to juggle with some tricky parking. It's worth it though! read more

A great, quick and CHEAP go-to when I'm exhausted, lazy or in a hurry after the gym. I've ordered from here at least 20 times in the past year and the only times my order has been screwed up has been due to my own stupidity, but usually those turn into happy mistakes. Flavors I hadn't tried yet or falafel instead of chicken... great! The portions are great for the price point and they continue to blow me away with their quick turnaround times with orders. Watching Salad & Go degrade over the past couple of years has been a bummer, but this concept from the founders has been a wonderful addition to the Phoenix fast-casual food scene. read more

Try it once and you'll be hooked! I tried making this at home because in my mind I thought, easy and fresh ingredients, easy to replicate but nope, it was definitely not the same! As simple as the warm bowls seem, they are far from it. They're packed with intricate and delicious flavors and the dressing is heavenly. I highly recommend the Mexican Bowl with Steak. Yuumm! As soon as I got to my table there was the cutest sign that said welcome to Sarah Sherman and guest -- it was such an adorable and personal touch, I loved that! As soon as my friend got there we immediately both ordered the cold brew old fashioned -- we thought about the espresso martini but this just sounded too good to pass up -- and we were not disappointed! This drink was so tasty and strong. We immediately ordered the bread (sourdough boule) to soak up some of the alcohol as well as some oysters and the salsa. The oysters were so well spiced and were absolutely delicious. But the bread, the bread, the bread -- the server mentioned that it took almost 9 months to develop the bread recipe and it served. It was the best bread and butter that I think I have ever had! The salsa was good but probably was my least favorite of everything and it was still super yummy. We then moved on to the octopus tostadas. Sometimes octopus is not my fav -- it can be too chewy but this was so amazing and incredibly flavorful. It was starting to be my favorite dish until we ordered the Hamachi -- OMG!! Talk about a mouth orgasm-- both my friend and I were yummming it up -- but seriously this bite was so complex with different flavors coming up with every chew -- it has coriander candied peanuts, fermented pineapple, avocado, pickled fresno, toasted coconut and aji amarillo yogurt -- The server mentioned that this was the chef's least favorite dish which I totally do not understand because this was off the charts in my book. We also tried the earl gray whiskey sour, which was light and delicious, and ended with the shrimp toast and the espresso martini. By the way the toast on the shrimp toast was like a little fried dough triangle -- sooooo gooood! The martini was good but the cold brew old fashioned really stole the spotlight for me. Other details I loved that just elevated the experience: Purse hook (very important to me), the little trays for your utensils, metal coasters, incredibly attentive servers, fantastic music, great ambiance and the cutest was the penny they put on top of your check. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. My advice: skip the chef's selection and order à la carte. Just be prepared for the food to come out quickly and all at once.

There's a sign asking you to wipe down your table when you're done, which helps keep prices low. It's a trade-off I don't mind. The restaurant is small but clean, and the process is decently quick. The food is the real highlight. My caprese rice bowl with chicken was only around $7.80 and was packed with generous portions. I ate until I was full and the leftovers were a whole meal the next day. I would have liked a bit more toppings compared to the rice, but the flavor was excellent. Overall, it's a fantastic bargain for the quality and amount of food you get. I also got a blueberry lavender lemonade, and it was an interesting ride. At first, the lemonade came out watery and I couldn't find the flavoring, as it was self serve. But eventually they fixed the machine and pointed me to where they kept the flavor packets. The flavor was good, but I wasn't a fan of the texture of the blueberry chunks. Service is essentially non-existent, but that's the model here.
