The Location of this restaurant is very convenient as I drive by it daily. It appeared clean and well kept to us. We found the service here to be prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, my family all felt the food was not good and very expensive for what it was. I strongly advise not ordering fish and chips as they were really bad. My family and friends come here for the amazing diner atmosphere and service. The food has always been amazing. Today we ordered the deluxe burger and an order of fish and chips hi eat review this was not the best order we have had. It took longer than normal and both were a bit over cooked but still good. We absolutely love angaleas breakfasts and especially the monte cristo! Aside from today we absolutely love the food and service. And it wasn't horrible today. One of the best places for fries chicken, if not the best I have had. If you are having a party you can pre-order large combos of chicken, jojo's and biscuits for a specific time. I have done these orders multiple times and they are always on time with getting them complete (within 5 or so minutes of their estimate). Anglea's is a staple of Tacoma's east side. They boast about having the best fried chicken around but many people go there for their all day breakfast options. I've actually never tried their bone-in fried chicken. I did have the tenders once and they were just okay. Every time I order breakfast here, it is always on point. Of course they use the standard FSA pre-packaged, delivered food but they know how to make it sing. My only issue and I take this with all restaurants these days is that they lack in the Keto and Carnivore options. Subbing toast and hash browns for more bacon isn't an option but a side of bacon for $8 is. If cinnamon rolls are vice, they have you covered, and the soups and pies are really good too. No matter what, Anglea's is a great value and the food is worth the money. read more

The fried chicken is some of the best my wife and I enjoyed. The staff are extremely informative and very friendly even though we ordered carry out. Back to the food. My wife is very culinarily experienced and she said the chicken, the "Joe's" or potato wedges, and even the biscuits were amazing. The breast, which can be a challenge was cooked to perfection. Came back for the holidays From Vegas, had to bring my kids to a restaurant that I always ate with my parents growing up every Sunday. Everything was delicious and the fried chicken is still very delicious with the Joe's I had the chocolate pie also and everything is still good. I heard about their cinnamon rolls on a Facebook page. My fiancee ordered a 4 pack for my 40th birthday and I have to say these were the best I've ever had. The density was perfect, just the amount of cinnamon and the icing wasn't too sweet and they weren't drowning in sweetness. It was not a busy time they had four booths active with most of them having their orders....a local restaurant that I used to adore went back twice the first time over $50 chicken take out it was delicious they didn't include any condiments or plastic where the second time I gave them another chance as I felt it was going downhill customer service wise we had to leave because my son forgot his flip flops and so I ordered a quick to go for my twin granddaughters 5 years old ...mac and cheese and a side of fruit for a package deal apparently almost $12 with tax for a 5 year old each I waited 45 minutes told them I was going to want a refund as I had to pay in advance if it was going to take longer she went back to check same waitress that had not included the cutlery for the to go order weeks ago (when I called to complain about not getting honey butter etc with our order she said napkins silverware and condiments had to be requested because they cost money, you think a $50 order for two people would have covered that) and she came out with my order there was nothing special about it like a cup of canned peaches diced and a cup of boxed mac and cheese I was mortified as we had just been to the Black Bear diner the day before and for under $5 we had cub pancakes with strawberries and chocolate chips and an apple juice. I will never return to anglia's again after two attempts and failed service 45 minute wait for instant mac and cheese almost $12 for one order 5-year-old child menu. given I did not check the price because I didn't not think a child's mac and cheese order would be that outrageous. The Jos are delicious, nice a big slice. Not to crispy on the outside just right & soft on the inside. Now for the CHICKEN!!! It was cooked to perfection. Stayed on the bone nicely, when you bit into it came off very soft. As for flavor I've never experienced pressure cooked chicken to be bursting in flavor & this chicken was no different. I'm not sure why but that's always the case. Over time as the chicken sat there it seemed it got more and more greasy, becoming very oily which was odd. Nonetheless it was good chicken.
