Mixed bag here, I'd say their overall yelp rating is pretty fair. Pros Seasoning is great - typically have a good tolerance but even the hot was a challenge for me. Finished my 3 tenders but definitely felt the burn. Can't imagine how the x-hot or angry is!! Fries/Mac - really good Rice - so so, didn't taste bad but $4 is steep for a small portion of rice. Sauce - really good Cons Tenders were not crunchy/crispy at all - not sure if an isolated issue or not, but this really hurts their overall score. The combos do not come with any sauce - each 2oz portion is $.35. I get you need to cut costs down and not be wasteful, but not sure why they don't even provide 1 sauce with each combo? The fries, when eaten soon, are very good. My sandwiches were crunchy on the edges, which I hadn't previously experienced. It wasn't over cooked. I liked it. Tried "hot" spice level for the first time. It IS "hot", at least for me. I can handle it, but will probably stick with "medium". "Medium" is enjoyable and comfortable. Normally, when a bill reaches a certain amount, my expectations tend to increase with the premium pricing. I don't mind spending money on premium food, but I do mind paying premium prices for not-so-premium quality and taste. I'm not trying to bash this business because I believe every business deserves a chance, especially when they are committed to staying open. Overall the chicken itself great but nothing too stand out compared to other chicken places that are similar. I really did enjoy the fries as they were well seasoned and was probably the highlight of my meal. Service was easy smooth and great and the ambiance was hip. It was pretty busy around 530PM and it will. Probably remain busy for a while. Overall a great Nashville chicken option that is now 1 of 3 in the area. When they mean spicy they mean it! The chicken slider here is really good. The coleslaw they have on the slider really compliments it! So many reviews about the chicken, after all it's a Nashville hot chicken place. It's also halal, which means it has more of a flavor flair than just what comes from a typical place from Tennesee. As for quality, it's delicious and tender, and I don't mean that it's a chicken tender, which it is, it's cooked tender and juicy, mine did not come out overcooked or undercooked. Came here 8/2 for early dinner with my husband from Kentucky who loves hot chicken. Ordered two Hangry Fix bowls - one Medium, one Hot. It took over 22 minutes to get our order, someone else with our name was called and there was some confusion - maybe a number system would be better. While waiting, there was very little to do as the ambiance was zero and the TVs were playing junior league cornhole on espn2.. the vibes were not it here. When we finally got our food and sat down at home I opened my Medium labeled bowl and took a bite that turned out to be Hot. They had mislabeled our orders and that was not something I expected or wanted. I couldn't taste my food afterwards - I didn't want that much spice and was having trouble catching my breath from coughing. The mac was okay but overcooked and falling apart. I did enjoy the sauce and honey but overall it was not an enjoyable dining experience. We will likely not be coming back, we'll stick with Canes since it's close and fast.
