We definitely don't come here for the service. Always get excited to eat the crab here but then instantly regret it when we arrive. Out of 10 times, I'd say we had a good server twice. Pretty good food, fun environment staff was friendly. The wait was long and our order was not correct and it was a little pricey.

The service and ambiance is fun and fantastic here but I didn't really care for my crab. I like a simply prepared steamed crab with a side of butter. I don't know what they put on it but it was orange. I had orange residue all over the place. Also, the butter isn't drawn so the fat separates and gets waxy leaving a very unappealing flavor. I'd go back to try some of the other menu items though. read more

The angry crab large variety of seafood options we tried the snow crab was delicious also had calamari sticks and fried clams my favorites some of our party had the shrimp basket they said they were very good and priced right. We also tried the BBQ pulled pork, chicken, and brisket, did not have ribs ready yet meat was tender and had a nice smoke flavor I did not like the BBQ sauce but that's just me it was good that it came on the side.The sides were good my favorite corn bread and baked beans others liked the slaw and seasoned fries service was top notch. Yes!!! My new fav place!!!! I think the seasoning was my favorite part! The Trifecta is a mix of garlic, lemon pepper and Cajun spices. I got the mix bag special which had shrimp and clams in it. It's also included corn, sausage and a potato. All of that was $13! The prices are great here. I expected something like this to be so much more expensive. A non-happy hour house white wine was $4!!! My husband got the barbecue brisket and also liked it. For two glasses of wine, my seafood, two beers and the brisket... Our total bill was $49! For super large portions and flavorful food... The only reason I am giving such a high rating is because of our wait assistant Justin! It was his first day and he was so attentive, smiling and enthusiastic! Our server Tammy on the other hand was rude, eye rolling and we rarely saw her. She just couldn't be bothered with us as she must have been trying to get out of there. This place is great!!! We ordered King Crab in the Trifecta Sauce with Corn, amazing! We went wimpy because the sauce creeps up on you, with just one pound of Crab we got stuffed! We also tried their alligator bites in a cajun breading, my first time trying it and it was good as well, like chicken and not too chewy. Cant wait to go again! read more

Never been to an angry crab before but they really aren't family friendly with 3 choices on the kids menu 2 of them being fish so that leaves 1 choice chicken tenders which my kids didn't like, if you have kids that eat fish your good to go, blue crab and crawfish outta season, dang, got shrimp and mussels, shrimp were awesome mussels were a complete joke, the mussels had barely anything in them half of ours were empty, told the waiter he didn't care, considering mussels are super cheap that's where this rating comes in plus kid unfriendliness and your gonna walk out paying about the same or more thsuishi check, will return without my kids someday when blue crab is back read more

I've been dining here for about three years now and I will say that I absolutely love the food. I have never had an issue with quality or taste of food. I guess my reason for reaching out today and giving my review is based on atmosphere. Atmosphere? What do you mean Graig? Working in restaurants as long as I have you grow to appreciate certain restaurants that have that small town, Mom and Pop feel or unique niche that separates them from the rest. Unfortunately over the past year this location of Angry Crab has really lost that type of attitude. Used to feel like you were really in Louisiana and you were part of their little restaurant family and everybody was having a good time. Now it is starting to feel very robotic and Incorporated. Ate here right around the time restaurants were allowed to seat again and I asked who the new manager in the corner glaring at all the diners were and was told that its a new "Corporate" manager. Whoever he is he definitely made us and other diners around us feel very unwelcome (I heard the table across from us make a comment). If he made the diners feel uncomfortable I can only imagine how he makes the staff feel. Place is starting to have a corporate feel to it. Like I said earlier, the food is Amazing enough to keep us coming back, but if it doesn't start feeling like the good ole angry crab we were used to, we may have to stick to takeout..... or try another location. read more

Just opened so will cut them some slack. Bbq was good, but they didn't have a few of the seafood offering. Also, had at least 30 instances when someone would come by and ask if everything was good. I know when you open a new restaurant you schedule heavy, but don't have them ask me every time of everything is good/ok. We will be back and I'm sure it will get better. read more

So here we are going on our fourth official dinner date, still testing the waters to see if we're compatible or not. He's raving about this Angry Crab restaurant so I figure why not give it a shot. We get there and he can't stop talking about how amazing the Mac n cheese is . He's describing it in immense detail, "so cheesy you literally have to wrap it around your fork" and saying "wait until you get to the crunchy bread crumbs". We place our order and shortly after they present the Mac n cheese. I'm quite excited to try this life altering food. I stick my fork in and take my first bite... my heart sinks. It tastes just like your average pasta with a cheap cheese sauce spread over the top of it. Now I'm questioning everything. How does he think this is the best Mac n cheese ever? Is he really the guy for me? He's got horrible taste, but at the same time he did ask me out so at least he's got good taste in one thing. I'm seriously considering just walking out right there. I look up at his expression and can tell he's not entirely pleased either. The waitress returns and informs us that management had just changed the recipe a week prior. I guess he's safe, for now... I'm still heartbroken over the fact I didn't get to try the real Mac n cheese, but the rest of the meal (shrimp, sausage, and potatoes) was absolutely delicious! I ate at the Guadalupe location and the food is so freakin awesome. I had the shrimp with sausage and corn and my wife had the muscles. Prices were reasonably and the food was so good. I only recommend being cautious when ordering the spicier option. I think I got the second hottest option for my shrimp bag and it was way too spicy for me, and I can handle spicy. I have to say the first time we came here our main server was just ok but after coming here again (the food is too good not to come back) and having Noez I believe his name is help us- wow! He is an excellent staff member, very fun server and he even took the time to show a table near us how to eat their shrimp and crawfish after asking them if it was their first time there. I am very impressed. Thank you Noez for a great experience and excellent customer service. And like always the food was amazing of course. The BBQ here is just as good as the seafood, too. So I'm going to start off with the fact that the food was really tasty!!! However the service was terrible. We were seated right away and then the greeter got us started with drinks. She told us our server would be right with us when she dropped off our drinks. We sat there for approximately 20 minutes. I have gone to this location many times and the food is always delicious so please note this review is only related to the shocking service experience I received and not the food. I took a friend here last night and we decided to sit at the bar and received two drink menus. After ordering our drinks we actually had to request two food menus. We ordered our food (2 lbs snow crab legs and 1 lb of EZ peel shrimp). Food came out very quickly and piping hot. As I began to crack my crab claw, I searched for the nut crackers and saw there was only one delivered to us which my friend was using. Waiting patiently, I then had to ask if I could use his while seeking the bartender to request an extra one I could use and not hinder my friends dining experience. After receiving my tool, I began to crack the claw and unfortunately I cracked a little too hard to reap the reward of the solid lump claw meat. Unfortunately, I needed the little pick tool but could only find one which was delivered and yes, my friends was using it. Again I raised my hand to catch the bartenders (Marco) attention and asked if I could have one please. He looked at me dazed and when I explained to him for the second time that I would like a set of tools so I do not have to share mine with my friend, he said, "Yea sure, guess no one ever showed you how to crack crab" and walked off. A female bartender brought the tool to me (not Marco who had the snide comment) and at that point I was still aghast at Marco's comment. Please note another customer was sitting next to us that overhead Marco's comment stated something to the effect of "Wow!" when the comment was made as it was quite rude and sarcastic. I then asked the female bartender to speak with a manager. Sitting at the bar, we were able to see the female bartender speak to the manager and Marco along with other "staff" personnel and all five of them look at us before the manager approached me which was a good indicator that Marco knew what he did was not acceptable nor warranted. When the female blonde manager came over, I placed all my food and mixed drink in the bucket ( I had eaten one shrimp, no crab and taken two drinks of my cocktail ($56.00) and handed it back to her advising I did not wish to give them by business based on whatever was being projected by Marco. The manager immediately began telling me that she was positive that Marco meant nothing by it and I may have taken it wrong or misunderstood. Thankfully for the customer next to us that witnessed and overheard the exchange (I later found out he is there at least once a week and knows them all) he too advised the manager that in fact the bartender was snide and sarcastic in his own opinion. The manager tried to debate the other customer's view of the situation as well. I finally shared that I eat out a lot and do witness those customers that want to complain and be difficult and I assured her I am not one of those folks however feel she came to me thinking I was. I advised in this rare case, the customer is actually right and not sure why the need to be unkind was necessary The manager simply kept repeating that she couldn't believe I was so upset over this and shared that they only have FIVE of the tools and they are "on order". Well, please let me know in the future when you don't have the tools necessary to eat the food you are selling to me. At no time did the manager ask how/if she could make it right. While my friend didn't want to stay either, I insisted and sat with him while he ate I proceeded to crab all his crab for him while he ate. The bill came for his food only, we paid, we left. So, moral of the story.....always ask if the have enough tools on hand for the food you are ordering, should you need them and Marco needs a hug in hopes it changes his disposition:) Be kind folks! read more
