Our granddaughters picked this place, and we were quite surprised by how good and fresh it was, and they were happy, so thats all that mattered! The host was a little off her game, which was not a good way to begin. She told us twice she would help us, which never happened....her hoop earrings probably got her a little tired. Our waitress Tori was very pleasant and helpful... great service! We had the Family Feast mild flavor, which was very delicious. I can't say too much about the cocktail I had. All I remember about it was the jalapeño garnish. It had no flavor whatsoever. It literally tasted like lemon water, so disappointed. We will definitely be back for a 2nd time. I ate here with three friends last night. We split an order of a dozen raw oysters ($20), served with cocktail sauce, lemon wedges, and Tabasco sauce and grated horseradish upon our request. I also had a bowl of gumbo ($7), which comes with a small loaf of "soppin bread". I enjoyed everything. The menu is a mix of very affordable and very expensive; we stuck to the affordable side, but no one was unhappy with their meal. Service was good. The atmosphere is casual, as one would expect of a place with "shack" in its name. We sat around chatting for a long time after we finished eating, and no one tried to rush us out. read more

Angry Crab Shack gives you the down home seafood boil experience you're hoping for and doesn't skimp on the part where you get your hands dirty! No utensils, no plates, just butcher paper over your table and some cracking tools. Our waitress, Zaundi, was super friendly and walked me through the ordering process (you choose your protein, your sauce, the spice level, and then any add-ins). I ordered a michelada which they make the mix in house and it was amazing! My boil was snow crab with lemon pepper, garlic, mild spice with veggies and potatoes. My mom got snow crab as well with just garlic sauce and no spice. Everything came out relatively fast and the crab was delicious! I will definitely be coming back. The only reason the place isn't getting 5 stars is the environment, the place has a bit of an awkward layout probably because there's been so many other restaurants at this location in the past. The food was excellent and service was great even though we went on a super busy Saturday for dinner. Me and my wife got the Market price bag of naked shrimp with sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. The waiter was super helpful in explaining how to order. There were also plates on the menu that looked great, these ranged from salmon, crab cakes and catfish to mention a few. The only reason they are not getting a five is service was a bit slow to no fault of wait staff. They were working hard on large groups and us. Looks like they needed one more person. Other than that nit pik I would recommend this place for good food, fun, and great atmosphere. read more

Okay, so we have been to Angry Crab Shack 4 times in the last three months because it's my husband's current food obsession so I think I have a pretty good summation of the food. I almost always get the snow crab boil with the trifecta sauce in mild (still spicy enough to make my nose run) with potatoes, sausage, and shrimp with the head off. It's saucy and flavorful with tons of garlic. There is nothing generic about this crab boil sauce. It is so delicious. The only bad thing I'll say about it is it can be inconsistent with the spicing and heat. Sometimes it's truly mild and sometimes I'm sniffling because it's so spicy. My husband said the same thing. He orders it hot and sometimes he can barely eat it it's so hot and others he can't taste the heat. We have ordered a few things outside of the boil like the lobster roll and the bread for sopping and they were both super disappointing compared to the boil so now we have a rule not to order anything other than the crab boil and Cajun fries. I had the lobster roll the first time I went and it was simply ice cold chunks of lobster on bread with a cup of melted butter. Underwhelming. The drinks are amazing! I always order the Spiced Shack and love it so much I bought the ingredients to make at home. Service is always friendly, albeit a little forgetful, but they all hustle, especially the bartenders. I happen to like the vibe. It feels like a hole in the wall, it's unpretentious, it welcomes being messy with your family and I can't get enough of the 90s and early 2000s hip hop and r&b music! It just makes for a fun and nostalgic environment. It's pricey but I'd challenge you to find anywhere else close to that crab boil in this town. read more

Food was okay it was my first time having a seafood boil and the food was not terrible. Waiter brought out our sides before our food so we had finished our sides before we even got to enjoy the seafood boil... The general feel of the place was ok they've got writing all over the walls which is different. The hostess at the front young Hispanic guy, kept walking back and forth from the front to the kitchen loudly speaking with the waiters which was a bit annoying as he bumped into my seat a few times with 0 apology. This place wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't run by teenagers who have no concept of what good service is. All in all the experience was about a 1 with the food being a 3. Went on Mother's Day and while it wasn't busy we were sat right away. There was some delay in figuring out who our server was going to be, so that took about 10 mins. I will say the food came out staggered and not all at once, and my wife's food was late. Overall the food was delicious. I love seafood, and I will say the hush puppies were different, just not my liking. The crab boils were great. read more

Angry Crab restaurant, this is so much better than Red Lobster . If you haven't yet, you need to check this place out. We went for the lunch special $15 (1/2lb snow crab, 1/2lb shrimp, red potatoe, and corn on the cob) and that includes your drink, too. About the same cost as a fat food meal combo at McDonalds or the likes. Service was top notch (thank you Dapper Dan), food was good quantity, delicious and plentiful. This was our 5th time here... it never disappoints! Also, there's places to sit outside but the inside has some great decor with live crab and lobster tanks. I prefer this location because the seating is better than the other location. Food is very good, l had the king crab and lobster tail(I don't like spice, so just butter) My friend had shrimp and lobster tail. Again, the food was very good. Drinks were weak and service was rough and intermittent. Not sure what our server was dealing with, but we were underserved. Dessert was not the best and not as described on the menu. Our separate checks were co mingled, so my friend just paid me for her second drink in cash. Again, great food, not so great service. We still tipped 18-20 %. I went for lunch and had the best red beans and rice with grilled chicken I have EVER had and decided to go back the next evening and had a big seafood boil of Snow Crab, shrimp, mussels and corn. This "Angry Crab" made me ANGRY!!!!!! This was by far the WORST seafood place I have been to in my life! My daughter and I came from Seattle WA because my daughter was admitted to the university of Arizona, she was trying out for the cheer team and didn't make ot. I figured I would bring her to a delicious crab dinner here at the angry crab because she likes seafood boils but boy was wrong. Not only did they not include potatoes and corn in the $125 seafood bag that I ordered when they did bring the corn it is frozen and mushy. You can't even bite down on it. It turns too mush. When I asked if corn was frozen, he said yeah at the end of the night things get a little funky around here. I just wish I would've known what time of the day to come to the establishment I've never been at a restaurant that has a time of day where Food is better than other times so if you want to come here, I guess come before 8 o'clock. Decided to just stick with shrimp and a fish and chips basket Whole waiting for order I asked a female bartender for water. She acted like I was disturbing her. Sat the eater glass down without a word As far as the food very disappointing. Shrimp overly breaded not very many shrimp for the price. Went here opening night cuz I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it did not hit the mark. I ordered the seafood bucket, had snow crab legs, shrimp, lobster tail add on, potatoes, corn on the cob & hard boiled egg. My husband had the cheeseburger, because he does not like seafood & that was the only non-seafood item on the menu. We shared a bowl of clam chowder( which is new england clam chowder, btw, not boston, or whatever it said on menu) Clam chowder was decent. Not spectacular. My seafood bucket, was a big disappointment!! Lobster tail was so small it was barely even worth it & it was $16 more!!!! snow crab ok but not great, had to ask for crab crackers, finally brought out to me they were like scissors!!
