This is my all time favorite place for pizza . I've grown up eating here ....the family run place has the best. When I moved out of town I would have paid a fortune to have one mailed just never figured out how to keep the cheese right side up. ...another good reason to move back to Corning. My endless craving and inability to find anything close to Aniellos ...their subs are soooo good...love the rolls...hot ham and cheese...yummmm....have yet to order anthing that I don't love...now after this...I am needing a pizza ...better place an order to be delivered....and for those who say it takes too long...perfection is timeless and always worth it...I order accordingly....try it..you'll love it... read more

I'll agree to disagree with my fellow Philly reviewer on here about Aniello's. I LOVE IT! I'm from Philly and have had my share of pizza, but Aniello's is still one of my favorites. Their dough smells and tastes amazing, definitely fresh from the tossing you can observe while dining there. Especially love their Spinach, Brocolli and Ricotta mix, but their regular is to die for too! I also tried other menu items. Their salads are great with homemade dressing and slices of cheese. Chicken parm sandwich was also delicious and filling. Anything with their bread or dough is good basically! read more

My wife and I always make a point if stopping in for pizza when we are in Corning. The pizza is delicious, tending toward the thin, floppy, NY-style that we both love. Good sauce and good toppings. The garlic knots are also very good. Our only critique is that the interior frequently falls behind in the clearing and cleaning of tables, particularly during the lunch and dinner rushes. read more

If you go to once place in Western/upstate NY.. it should be Aniellos! I grew up in corning and now live in the south and literally crave this pizza daily. I've never found anything as delicious with maybe the exception of pizza in Italy. I like to go just plain cheese or throw some tomatoes on there but their specialty slices are just as delicious (chicken wing is a favorite for sure). I've driven a half hour out of my way for this and have known many other people who have done the same. I can't sing their praises enough! read more

Pretty fab pizza, and great atmosphere too. Such an authentic-feeling throwback local favorite, with friendly staff who don't make you feel like an awkward outsider if it's your first visit. The slices are simple thin-crust, cheesy affairs, but exactly what I was craving so I was quite happy with the lack of fancy frill. Plus, you can add toppings for just $0.25 each, including usually pricey items like artichoke hearts (my one concession to fancy frill). At $1.90 each, the slices are probably actually better value than ordering an entire pizza for $12/$16+. One slice was pretty satisfying, two would be completely filling, unless you're really hungry. There was a rather reasonably priced hot sandwich menu, too, but I suspect most people come for the pizza. read more

Delicious NY-style pizza, huge tossed salad. My wife and I were in town to try the Finger Lakes wine trail, and walked in for dinner. They provide efficient service with the speed of a NY hole-in-the-wall pizza shop, blended with the seating and ambience of a suburban restaurant. Very nice combination. If you like sausage pizza, my wife absolutely loved her slice. I had a slice with pepperoni, mushroom, and garlic -- great. We would definitely do this again. Went on a Sunday in 2010 and it was noisey. Cheese Steak Sandwich was so-so. Meatball sandwhich is still great! Antipasto salad was huge, salami, cheese, tomoato, olives, peproni, ham. Tasty and a meal in itself. We split a slice of pizza and it was good. Crunchy crust and flavor some sauce and toppings. Meat ball sandwich was excellent, and huge. I started eating at this place after baseball games when I was a kid living in Corning. It was my favorite pizza then and remains so now. Every time I travel back to Corning, I make sure to stop at least once (and usually more) so that I can get my fix. I usually just get plain cheese pizza, because the sauce and the cheese are so delicious. The restaurant has a great casual atmosphere on historic Market Street. It doesn't get much better than this. I go here every time I go home, before seeing mom, before seeing friends and before using the restroom! Italian family has been running this place for years. Homemade bread for subs made fresh daily- it gets no better. Whole curd Mozzerella cheese and a 4-500 degree oven is the key. Everything is made fresh daily. Pizza's, subs, it's all freaking delicious. Nice busy pizza place, especially fun to hang out on Sat evenings. The pizzas are quite good, they have a nice selection of specials & toppings. I've never tried he other stuff like calzones & subs - the aroma of freshly baked pizza is too overpowering to consider those options. The specialty of this place, however is not just the food, but the super-energized staff - the good spirits of the guys across the counter is totally infectious and rubs off on the customers as well. For a pizza place, I'd give this 5 stars. For a dinner, I'd go with four. Perfect for a quick lunch. Pizza was really good, thin crust and just the right ratio of sauce to cheese. I've eaten at Aniello's countless times since I was a kid and it's always a decent choice for pizza and subs, but nothing amazing. The pizza is excessively greasy and has gotten a lot tougher to bite through over the years. I always grab a stack of napkins to blot of the lakes of oil on my pizza. I also don't recommend saving any leftovers because if you thought the crust was tough when it was fresh, just wait until it's sat a night in the fridge. The salads are large and full of meat. The subs are decent, but the chicken isn't anything special; just frozen chicken fingers fried, stuck in some bread, covered in sauce and cheese, and stuck in the oven for a few minutes. If you're in Corning and looking for great pizza, I'd definitely recommend Atlas over Aniello's. Atlas as a MUCH greater variety and the pizza is less greasy and easier to bite through. read more
