My family and I ate at Anna's Polish Restaurant for the first time for my birthday. It was Sunday a week ago around 5:00 P.M., and we had 10 people in our party. We should have called ahead and made a reservation the day before. They had room for us, but Anna and her son were the only ones working the restaurant. Her son told us that they would have had someone else report to work if they had known we were coming. It worked out, but I know it made for a very hectic evening for Anna and her son. Anna makes all the food herself, and her son is the server and host. They bring you bread to start. I got the white borsch for my appetizer. It was amazing - very flavorful, a pleasant surprise. I had the Polish Platter for my entree. It was very good. My family kept comparing everything to Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe (a German restaurant in Sanford). They like Hollerbach just a little better, but everyone enjoyed the food at Anna's. Of the items we had, I would recommend getting the white borsch, the pierogi, the kielbasa and the Warka beer most of all. I do hope to go back to Anna's very soon. I have been wanting to try this place for more years than I can remember. Thanks to Uber Eats, I was finally able to last night. I HAD to get their pickle soup and also got the staples of pork schnitzel, wazinki, potato pancakes, dill salad, and mashed potatoes. The order took over an hour to fulfill and I was a bit concerned that the food would arrive cold but to my surprise, it was still nice and warm! I was so excited to try everything and it was as delicious as I had hoped and lived up to the hype. Everything was absolutely delicious, seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The place is very homey feeling. Large and spacious so sound doesn't travel. Please note that it takes a while for food but it is worth the wait!!! We were a larger group so we were there for three hours. The food was close to my Polish cooking. The food had great flavor and do not knock the pickle soup it was really good. Anna's was so good it made my non-pierogi eating partner want to frequent this restaurant often just for their pierogis. This cute little hidden gem was great find for my first time trying Polish food. We had combo pierogies (mushroom cabbage, and cheese and potato). They were absolutely delicious. For my entree I got the Chicken Crakovia - the chicken was tender and very well seasoned. Got potato pancakes and Wazanki for my two sides. They were both amazing well! Had the yummy coffee cake for dessert. Every item was flavorful and portions were huge. Had plenty of left overs. Service was great as well, very polite and helpful. Will be back! read more

We love this place. We've been several times over the years and it has always been a great experience. Our most recent visit I had the kielbasa plate and the hubs did the pierogis with a side of potato pancakes. Everything was delicious and I love their cinnamon apple sauce for the potato pancakes - different and delicious. The staff is always very nice and they are super helpful if you aren't sure about anything. The restaurant was clean and they were spacing the tables to give room for distancing. The food here is really good and authentic! We have been here several times and it is consistently good and we never leave hungry. Can't go wrong with anything here but the cabbage noodles are a fave! The homemade apple sauce is so good and very cinnamony! The schnitzel is delicious but I was not happy to have to pay $2.50 extra for a little ramekin of mushroom gravy! That should come with it IMO. Anna's was a pleasant surprise here in Florida. Being from Michigan, we have quite a selection of Polish restaurants and look for any in our travels. We had a Polish Platter and Polish Trio. The stuffed cabbage comes with either a tomato based sauce or mushroom sauce. I highly recommend the mushroom sauce. It gave a really nice flavor. I had a side of the cucumbers with sour cream and it tastes just like my Polish grandmother made...so delicious. The sauerkraut as well as the pickle soup were both good but different from what I'm used to. All in all the food was great. Our waitress was attentive even though she was super busy. A friend of a friend from work raves about this place so we came in to see what all the hype was about and we weren't disappointed! I would highly recommend the "Polish Platter." It has enough food for two people to share and is an excellent starter pack of Polish delights. The kielbasa explodes with juicy flavor in every bite, it comes nestled on a bed of sauerkraut. It gives you a few pierogi and a yummy stuffed cabbage (I recommend having them drizzle the mushroom sauce over it, it is a great boost to the cabbage and the pierogi). Wash it all down with a Baltic Porter. You won't regret it. This place has a quaint atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dining; it's a great spot for a date night. *The team here has been struggling with the fallout of the Joecession but they've continued to strive to provide outstanding food, even if everyone is proactively told that the waits will be long and the amount of people the can accommodate for the time being is low. read more

Great spot with a neighborhood feel. We went on a Wednesday night & the place was fully servers, which I'm guessing are a husband:wife team, seemed a little in-the-weeds. We weren't allowed to order our food when the husband came for the drink order, even though we were ready to do so. We were told that a large order just went into the kitchen & he was going to get our drinks first. When each meal arrived, they were not all brought out at the same time, but when each one was finally brought out,they were piping hot, super tasty, and presented well. Had the opportunity to visit Anna's for a special Diversitastic event this week. The food was delicious. Hearing the words "Pickle Soup' made me imagine something that shouldn't even exist. Boy was I wrong! That soup was delicious! Rich, creamy, with a slight tang from pickles. Just proves that we shouldn't judge a food by its name. We sampled cabbage rolls with mushroom sauce (amazing), kielbasa, pierogies, and lazanaki: noodles with cabbage (another highlight.) As amazing as the food was, the service was even better. Wow! That is a one word that sums up the meal. This is a Polish restaurant that tries to bring you traditional Polish food. To the best of my knowledge they succeed. I ordered a Polish Sampler. It included 3 Perogies (potato, meat, & cabbage varieties), beef stuffed cabbage, polish sausage and sauerkraut. I would not over state if I claimed this is one of the better meals in town. Everything was extremely flavorful and fresh. The cabbage was topped with a savory mushroom sauce which was a perfect way to accent it. Typically, I'm not a sauerkraut guy....but I am one to give it a shot....very pleased that I did. The sauerkraut had a nice sweetness to it that was delightful! It was all gone at the end of my meal. We also ordered the potato pancakes for the table. They were thin and had a nice crisp to them. The thinness ensures that the potatoes were cooked perfectly. They included a homemade applesauce topping that I could have eaten a whole meal of! One of the best applesauces that I've had! There was close to an hour between the time we sat down and the time we were served. It was notably long enough that a less-patient customer would be upset. We were chatting and had nowhere else to be, so we were not all that bothered. The waitress came over once and assures is that all of the food was fresh and that's why it was taking long. It's notable that more of these table visits from the waitress might have helped ease the wait had I been one of those less patient customers. I'm still giving this review high marks on the merits of the food itself! The restaurant is oddly placed in a business center. It is small but a nice environment inside. There is outdoor seating, but I'm not sure if the parking lot patio would have been as nice as it was sitting inside. The restaurant wasn't overly busy. A few folks in there - more than one couple were regulars - made obvious by their entrance and subsequent seating of themselves. Bottom line. Yes. There is a reason this place has high marks. Go here for the food experience. Go here with friends, family so you can spend time while you wait. Relax, chat, and enjoy. read more

TL;DR - Go here. The food is homemade and one-off-a-kind, the atmosphere is homey, and the service is excellent. Taste - Incredible, incredible, incredible. Our server informed us that his mom is legitimately the one cooking in the back and it tastes like it. I can't decide whether I love the soft, savory, cheesy perogies or the tasty stuffed cabbage more. You cannot get this kind of high-quality homemade Polish food ANYWHERE around here and us Orlandoans are blessed to have this restaurant in our city. Atmosphere - I felt like I was at my grandma's house. Lace doily-like table covers rest on deep red tablecloths, photos of their hometown, Cracow, line the walls, and the sounds of old friends getting together filled the air. Service - Exceptional. Yesterday was the day to try Anna's. Our server was very attentive and very nice. For being the only server in the afternoon, he did great. We ordered potato pancakes and two bowls of borscht to start. I love beets and i love borscht. My friend said it was a little sweet for her, but i liked it. I could've used a bigger dollop of sour cream but i understand times are tough - our server brought us a little more. The potato pancakes were good - the apple sauce and sour cream definitely complimented the dish. Next, we split the 8 pierogi dinner...these were my favorite. We ordered half steamed and half sautéed...both were delicious. i enjoyed the steamed more while my friend enjoyed the sautéed....different palates i suppose. I will definitely be returning for the pierogis and the borscht...and dessert! The dessert list is impressive! We tried the papal cream cake...delightful! I would have tried the poppyseed cake since i used to love the poppyseed cake from Polonia, but i refrained since I have a drug test pending...those poppy seeds will get ya a positive. Anywho. I went here with some family that came into town on Friday and the spot is a hidden gem! It was a very quiet restaurant and the ambiance and decor was very nice. We had Joanna as our server and she was the daughter of the owner and was very sweet! She made sure we had everything we needed and also made recommendations on some items we should get! This was the best Polish I have had! My partners family is Polish. He and his Mom also loved it. It's all home made so do not expect it to be fast. Lunch was 1.5 hr long. Knowing they are slow we had no specific schedule and could just relax and enjoy. We started with the Potato Pancakes with home made apple sauce. They were great 'Very tasty'. Then we each got one of the Trio items (a Trio Appetizer & a Trio Lunch Portion) YUM! The cheese and the mushroom Pirogies were so good. I got the cabbage wrap with the mushroom sauce but the tomato sauce is just as good then the Third item was Polish sausage and sauerkraut. I am not a big sauerkraut person but I liked theirs. It had a sweetness to it to counter the sour. We decided on doing desert. I got the Walnut Delight (Pychotka) and it was fantastic!! We will be back again! read more

I knew this place was legit as soon as I walked in because the waitress was chatting with a table of customers in Polish. Taking that as a good sign I had a seat and ordered everything on the menu. . . . Ok not really but I WANTED to order everything since I was starving! I did wind up ordering the Mini Platter which is a sampler of 3 of their most popular items. It has stuffed cabbage, pierogies, and kielbasa with sauerkraut. You get to choose your pierogies flavor (potato and cheese, mushroom and sauerkraut, or meat) and can choose between a tomato sauce or mushroom sauce for your stuffed cabbage. And because I was starving I also got a side order of potato pancakes. Everything was soooooo good that I literally ate every single bite of food on my plate. And I ate 2 of the freshly baked rolls that came in the bread basket. (don't judge me.... i'm on vacay) The food did take a while to come out but it was worth the wait! 4 Stars for what I trust is good Polish food (a cuisine that I've since realized I'm not that big a fan of...), a lovely server wearing a folksy Polish outfit, and themed decor (which I've since realized I AM that big a fan of). We stopped at Anna's on the way back from a strenuous hike, so I was a bit worried that the dirt-smeared sneakers and 'eau de sweat' we were rocking would get us a Pretty Woman-esque "We don't have anything for YOU here." moment. Alas, Polish folks must be pretty tolerant because we were seated immediately in a booth and a beautiful blond server in the aforementioned themed outfit began to take our drink orders. First thing food-wise that we tried were the bread rolls. I believe they were yeast rolls, but whatever they were we devoured them in seconds and I probably could have eaten another basket-full if given the chance. Sweet, small, and fluffy perfection. To start we got the Polish Trio consisting of two perogies, two potato pancakes, and polish fresh sausage. The perogies were your choice of cheese, meat, or sauerkraut and mushrooms. We got the cheese and the sauerkraut/mushrooms. The platter was a great intro to Polish food and, I'll admit, there is nothing like a perfect potato pancake. Crispy, salty, and ready for sour cream/apple sauce. Nothing like it, amigos. For my main, I ordered the Stuffed Cabbage. You can choose between a tomato-based sauce or a mushroom-based sauce. The server saw my extreme inability to make a decision and to my relief offered the option of both. When I got the Stuffed Cabbage I was a little unsure of the appearance, texture, and overall concept, but it was pretty good. The sauces were probably the least memorable part (a shame because according to their menu the sauces are homemade). The truth is, they seemed a bit too smooth, which made them taste/feel less natural. The stuffed cabbage themselves were good but, again, I'm not sure I'm the best judge given my lack of enthusiasm for Polish food in general. My fella ended up also getting the Cucumber and Dill Salad choice with his meal and this was a highlight. What a refreshing drink! The thin-slice cucumbers sat in a bowl, lathered in tons of creamy dill sauce. My husband was in tastebud heaven. Finally we finished the meal with the Papal Cream Cake. It was a tad hard to cut through the puff paper with just the spoons, but we straight demolished it. It wasn't pretty in the end, but we were going to eat that cake if it was the las thing we did.
