I don't know Baton Rouge very well but I should've found a Denny's or something to go to instead. We had a party of 6 and wouldn't have minded the $100 ticket except it just wasn't very good. My wife ordered an omelet that was really overcooked and she said it tasted metallic. She only took a couple bites. Everyone had the potatoes that come with their meal and agreed they were overcooked. I had the biscuit and gravy and it was pretty good. But my potatoes were hard too. My mom had to make herself something to eat when we got to her house bc she said her portion was too small and tasted funny. Our waitress was very nice but had too many tables so the coffees and drinks went empty quite often. Definitely won't eat here next time I'm in town. read more

We got our favorite table and our waitress Nekia asked me when she came to the table if she could put my order of steel cut oats in for me. This was amazing not only did she remember me but that I put my order in early of what I wanted, because I know it takes longer to cook. Good food to wake up with and it's nice to be remembered. Yummy food, but SLOW service. Came for breakfast on a Tuesday morning at the Perkins/Bluebonnet location. Restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and they appeared to have only 2 servers. Took us 20 minutes to be seated (not sure why??) And then once we were seated it took forever to be greeted. Food took 40 minutes to arrive to our table (again, not sure why with a less-than-half-full restaurant.) We've been here for 90 minutes and are waiting on our check. read more

My husband I normally love to go to Another Broken Egg and we usually thoroughly enjoy the food. However, today was a different story. We made it at noon today, a Friday, and it wasn't busy at all. Maybe eight tables sat. After we were sat, it took a few minutes for us to be greeted by a waitress who was confused because she had just been let off the clock. We were then approached by Stephanie, who did not introduce herself (We found out her name when another server called out to her). Stephanie engaged with us at the bare minimum only to take our drink and meal orders. She looked like she was also ready to get off of the clock. Stephanie returned with our meal less than 5 minutes after having taken our order. Our meal was not freshly prepared, was cold, and looked like it had been sitting in the back for a while. We were hungry, so we begrudgingly ate it. We also didn't want to have it returned and have an upset chef possibly do something to our food. Not once while we were eating did Stephanie stop by to check if we liked the food. She only stopped by again to give us the check. We asked for the manager to let them know what type of food was coming out of the kitchen. He said he would comp the meal even though we told him we would still pay for it because we ate it. Stephanie then came back to the table and gave us attitude. She didn't apologize for the meal. Just said "He took care of it. Y'all can go" and walked away from the table. We haven't completely given up on Another Broke Egg because of this experience, but we could've went to McDonald's for what we ate there today. Maybe our next experience will be what we're used to getting: a great meal with great service. read more

I enjoy Another Broken Egg in general, but its nothing special. With all the other local establishments offering drink specials at brunch, I have a hard time spending over $7 for a single mimosa. The location is usually packed on weekends but the layout always makes it feel cramped. I have had good and so so meals here, but have never been blown away. Its nice to come here with a group but overall, there are better options nearby. read more

I guess I was just unlucky catching the "after rush hour", around 1:15-1:30 today. My guess this is the time the rush hour is over and so now everyone sits around and jabs. Only myself and a couple more tables. My order consisted of two cold pan cakes which butter wouldn't melt on and two over easy eggs. The egg whites ran more then the yolks along with cold bacon. My wife's order consisted of about the same with cold skillet potatoes. I saw the hand writing on the wall when we had a hard time being seated or waited on. My wife agreed with me as well when we compared the condition of the rest rooms....a horribly filthy night mare. Our fifth time eating at this location and each experience a little worse with this being our last. I've seen much better eateries close down for much less. read more

This is my first visit to this location. I've been to other ones before and they put this location to shame. First off, I was told they don't make muffins here. Walked in 30 minutes before close, so I get it, everyone is "ready to go". The hostess had an attitude. The French toast was dry, the bacon was old and burnt. Everything was old actually. And like I said I get that I walked in 30 minutes before close. I suggest that if you're going to serve sub par food and have sub par attitudes I should only have to pay a sub price for the meal. If the store closes at 2pm, but everyone's mind closes at 1pm, close the restaurant at 1pm! read more

The one in Mandeville is infinitely superior in terms if quality if food, atmosphere, and wait times despite being the smallest one I've ever been to. The one on Perkins is okay. Three stars for really long waits (30-45 minutes) despite there being several constitutively open tables, plus under-seasoned and slightly runny omelets. Their eggs benedict are always spot on though, and I love the mugs and the service is quick and friendly once you sit down. read more

Late breakfast, 3 of us. Mimosa was good as was the bloody Mary. Ordered the Beniets to be brought out before the main breakfast and they did not come until after the other food was served. My over medium eggs were over hard but I suspect they sat a little longer than they should have and finished cooking on the plate. The food here is good and the service is very good. I think they were little busy today and it showed in their overall performance. I'll still go here but perhaps not if there is a wait and they are busy. read more

The wait times aren't worth the level of food and service you receive here. The snotty attitude of the female hostess is a huge turn off. If you have a service like "call ahead to have your name reserved" you should add those to your list and tell your guests as the arrive. You can politely explain options like this instead of rolling your eyes and having a bad attitude. I don't like coming here and my husband does. My husband and I have eaten there twice during the past week. We hadn't noticed that it was open. I've never been to the other locations but we were hungry and thought we'd try it the first time. The second time we went back because we loved it. Food is great. We have tried eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy special, hamburger and salmon. All excellent, well prepared, and reasonably priced. Their lattes are a bit on the weak side and at almost $5 way too expensive. I'd stick to regular coffee next time. A bit cheaper. Nice attentive waiter. No wait to be seated although we were there during the week. Clean, nice decor. All in all a great place. Would highly recommend. read more

I just simply think it's just broken. The food was average and the service was mediocre at best. I consistently had to ask for a fresh cup of coffee over and over again. The waitress was nice but just wasn't very consistent. My food was just average not extremely hot. I could have gotten a better breakfast at the State Police Headquarters for about 1/3 the cost. I went to Another Broken egg to meet up with some friends from out of town. We wanted to "brunch," but with it being the middle of the week, there weren't many options in town. We came in for what I suspect to be rush hour. We went to the bar to grab drinks before being seated. Angel, the bartender was excellent. Even though he was clearly busy, we always felt like his top priority, also, he makes a damn good Bloody Mary. Once we finished our drinks, we were seating in Katheryn's section. She was even more delightful than our meals. It was clear that this girl understands service! I'm not going to say that the food is the best in town, but where else can you get good breakfast/lunch and drinks on a weekday morning? I will certainly be eating here again. read more

This location seems to be struggling. My last two visits we received obviously burned beignets. The "honey marmalade" it comes with was really just honey. Our food was okay but just not great. Basically, it wasn't the quality I came to expect from Broken Egg. I doubt we will be returning, especially since Ruby Slipper will be open soon. read more
