The pancakes were cooked perfectly and taste great with the sausage. The contrast of sweet and savory in the same bite was a winner. This place never disappoints. While there's always a wait it is worth it. The unique food choices like cinnamon bun French toast is just a tasty treat. Having a cocktail with brunch is a nice touch too. Love sitting outside as often as we can. Food was lukewarm, daughter had to send eggs Benedict back as it was cold to the touch. Service was less than subpar. Manager did a table visit and offered a coupon for free pastry and an orange juice refill as compensation. What a joke. She spoke to my daughter while I had to take a phone call at the table and never returned. So I spoke to her after paying the check in full and let her know that how a recovery should go when the food and service is really bad. The wait time was not that long but the time waiting for our food was much too long. our waitress was exceptional as usual good wait staff abound. I would say the prices are very reasonable. The best bloody Mary's! They have a good selection of Gluten- free options. I love the GF pancakes. Sunday's have 2 hour wait, so make sure you check in ahead if you plan to go. After being seated, and a considerable wait, I had to find the hostess and ask for a server. A server eventually arrived and took our order. We ordered drinks and our meal at the same time. It took a very long time to get our breakfast and it was terrible. The omelets were burnt on the top, bottom, and edges. It had taken so long to get our breakfast we ended up having to ask for to-go boxes. Another Broken Egg used to have the best steak and eggs anywhere. This entree is no longer offered. We came here about a month ago and sat for over an hour with no food ( french toast and eggs were ordered) finally we ended up telling the manager we were just going to leave. He never offered anything, said sorry, just said to my husband oh are u sure? This was one of our favorite places to come to and it's fallen very far, service isn't where it used to be and the manager seems to be flirting with the girls more than managing.... Came here for the first time and was impressed! I ordered their shrimp & grits which was PACKED with flavor! It comes with 2 small pieces of bread that compliment the grits well. They don't skimp on the shrimp and it's very hearty. It was just a tad bit on the salty side but I still enjoyed the combination of flavors. I got an appetizer of beignets for being a 1st time customer. Wasn't impressed (maybe it's because I just got back from NOLA?) but it wasn't bad. It's as good as a sugary donut but it wasn't quite a beignet. I ordered a ham as a side and I'm not sure if it's the restaurants style of cooking that I didn't like or it was just not cooked right but it was too over-cooked and came out too dry, WAY too salty, and the cut wasn't great. There was a huge hole in the middle. If you're a ham lover, I'd probably stay away from this one if this is the way it's supposed to be cooked each time! Overall I enjoyed this cafe. Just don't. It's not worth the money, at best it's passable food, at worst it's inedible. Service is great but that's not what I care about. They get you exited with the pictures and the descriptions but everything is a letdown. You make your own choice but whatever you do AVOID FISH ANYTHING! Every time we've gotten any of the fish type of dishes (crab, lobster, shrimp) it's been horrible. Insanely over fishy tasting, to the point where we couldn't even stomach it. I like fish. The food was really good, I had the B.L.A.S.T which is like a BLT but with fried green tomatoes and avacado. They give you free Beignets if it's your first time. The waiter was fast, and really knew the menu. Why the 3 stars? The menus came out wet, maybe it was just cleaned? Maybe it was in need of a clean, but that's not the sort of gamble I care to take at a restaurant. In addition, the plates they brought out for the Beignets were dirty, at least 2 were unusable, food crusted, water and smudges. The guy who brought the plates (not the waiter) even wiped one on his clothes because he saw it was dirty. It's a shame to lose 2 stars over easily avoidable issues, I encourage the management keep in mind that cleanliness on the floor is just as important as what's done in the kitchen. read more

I would not recommend this place we did not have a good experience. We visited here about three weeks ago and I've been meaning to leave a review. So we got seated and it took a while for someone to take our order. We ordered and ended up getting our food after Palma the were just sat after us. My fiancé ordered the the shrimp and grits and found a dead spider in his food. Granted it's hard to notice with all that black pepper in it but still that's crazy. I made a reservation in the app. We arrived on time- there was no line but the place was busy. There were 3 hostesses- we were told to wait... we waited 10 minutes and a group of 6 walks in, no reservation, and are directly seated? What? So we voiced our surprise- and suddenly there's a table outside: they walk us there, but wait- for a moment I thought we were gonna have to share a table? We were delighted to beat the crowd and get into this popular place midmorning on a Saturday and enjoyed our breakfasts. But, just as we experienced at another location of this chain, the servers don't really understand the concept of hot tea with milk. But the most obvious negative characteristic of our visit was watching a busboy who so clearly displayed to the entire dining room just how much he hates his job and did not want to be there. I used to like this place a lot but today's visit was beyond bad. We were waiting for our food for an hour after we were seated! Our hungry toddler was not happy to say the least... we had one order to go and I guess they were getting all orders ready at the same time? Including to go!! This could've wait until we were finished because it was TO GO !!! Mimosa was room temperature. I ordered an avocado toast and here's the picture below of what I got. I've never seen anything like that. Just the toast out of the toaster and plain sliced avocado on top. No salt or anything. Not even smashed avocado.. This is embarrassing. Our waitress seemed nice but she was ignoring us almost the whole hour while we were waiting on our food. One more thing. We wanted to switch tables because the fan was blowing too much on our son, and since our waitress was nowhere to be found, I had to get up and go to the hostesses station to ask for that. They prefer large parties to couples. This became clear to us as we were in line with other parties which had the same wait time as us and the larger parties kept getting seated and couples being pushed down the list, way past our wait time. Just for reference 2 families and 2 sets of couples got similar wait times (35-50 minutes) back to back. Families got seated, couples did not.
