Let me say.. this was the PERFECT hidden gem. The food was AMAZING!! My family and I had Birria…read moretacos, and honestly I think they were the best that I have ever tried! All the food came very fast. The service was also amazing. Our server was Jenny (sorry if I spelt that wrong). She was so kind, and very welcoming. She also checked on us a good amount. The setting was very nice but, the music was a little repetitive. The decoration was amazing though. Would definitely recommend this place!!

We heard about this place from our friends so when it was time to get the gang together- I said hey…read moreshould we go to Zacapa? She said YES! On arrival, the staff remembered my friend. They're like- cilantro allergy right? Hahahaha. Then they say us at two large tables in the back. Thank goodness because everyone had their kids so there were 5 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of room back there for the kids to be kids. Our server was great. I had no idea they would tack on 20% tip to our bill, but she wasn't slacking. She was still earning that tip. She brought out chips and salsa and then got our drink order. That helped keep the kids occupied. My friend suggested the margarita flight- so I went for it. The menu is an iPad with pictures of everything but it's also a lot of clicking back and forth and kind of overwhelming. My friend loved the carnitas fajitas and got that again. She gave me a bite- the pork was in chunks but it was so flavorful and tender. I had the shrimp tacos- wow! There were four huge shrimp in each taco (3 tacos) so it was about 3/4 of a pound of shrimp or maybe even a pound! Mine came with a side of rice and beans- which you can adjust a little but not too many options exist. I did not want beans but I also did not want double rice lol. Hers came with the usual fajita stuff- lettuce, guac, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. Both dishes came with your choice of corn or flour tortillas The guys got the chicken fajitas and the molcajete, which came w the same platter of sides and tortillas. There was food everywhere. The kids got chicken tenders, black beans, refried beans, rice, white queso dip and macaroni and cheese. They all kinda shared and of course didn't finish their food. I think they got full on chips and salsa. The margarita flight I had has many choices for flavors. I got kiwi, coconut and blackberry. All were very good but all very sweet. They put a lot of syrup in there. I think you'd be better off just getting a regular margarita or one flavored one because the flight cups are smaller than typical margarita glasses. So if they're putting one squirt of syrup, it's probably too much for that little glass. So next time I'll just get the coconut margarita. They have churros and what not but we opted against dessert. The kids wanted ice cream from the place down the plaza (Violet's- it's great! See my review). We boxed up our leftovers (I couldn't eat all three tacos; I had one left, plus my rice and beans) and paid the tab. She was nice to split it up by family and I'm sure that was not easy! I did not use the restroom but most of us did. The restrooms look like singles but they're not. The women's has two stalls behind that door so don't get caught waiting in the hallway. Go inside. My friend's kid didn't wanna wait or couldn't wait so they went straight to the men's, thinking the women's was a one stall. Hahahaha. Parking is hard to find because it's a busy plaza. We had to park all the way down by Fishbones where the parking lot is a lot bigger. They have a front part of their restaurant which also has some bar seating and then that more quiet back room where we were seated. I would recommend this place. It's a little pricey for Mexican food but it's really good. (Also it's hard to mess us Mexican, I get it). I was impressed by the amount of shrimp in my tacos and the amount of pork carnitas and chicken fajitas they put on their platters. They also have quite a selection of flavors for their margs.

I wanted everything on the menu. This was more than southern comfort. I was very impressed and each dish had the perfect balance of flavor. Portions were perfect and it's always nice to be satisfied without feeling sick after like so many "comfort" foods can. I got the Korean seabass special and it was slightly pan fried with a crisp I the edges and meaty center. The pickled peaches were excellent! The ice cream is house made and very unique. We had the popcorn, buttermilk and brown sugar. I liked the brown sugar the best. :) The drink selections were great. I really enjoyed this orange beer that had over 5 % abv and is a good contender to OBP! We will be back next month because I've got to try the ragu and gnocchi!

The food, the service and the quality here is top tier so I'm here to break them down for you. THE FOOD I love knowing we support a local family owned business and also the local farms they buy from. For the quality and care put into the menu, the prices are absolutely more than reasonable. The menu also changes so there are always new things to try including yummy desserts! We've had quite a lot on the menu and a few of our favorites include: the brisket smash burger, the build your own chicken/burger, the Tuscan piggy pasta, onion bahji, the steak bruschetta flatbread, the caprese, chicken and waffles, the third best breakfast sandwich (yes that's the name), the sweet crepes, the Argentinian reds and probably more I can't think of right now. THE SERVICE Everyone here is amazing. I think everyone has waited on us at least once and we always have a wonderful experience. We typically are waited on by Mandi - shout out to her for always being so lovely and accommodating! One time for my graduation, they allowed my fiancé to come in the day prior to set up balloons as a surprise for our table when I walked in. They are always going above and beyond. I often brings out of town friends and family here and they are always impressed. I can't have dairy and will sometimes forget to remove cheese, but they never forget even when I do. They are friendly, attentive and overall amazing. THE ENVIRONMENT You choose a table that is comfortable for where and what you want rather than being seated. It's a casual and comfortable environment, no judgement zone. I've come in wearing a dress and heels after my graduation to celebrate with family, dressed up for New Year's Even dinner and I've also come in wearing sweatpants and t-shirt or workout attire. That's what makes this place great, you can be yourself and enjoy delicious farm to table food. It's always clean and they play great music. You will catch me jamming out while eating my chicken sandwich with the mouth watering aioli on top. CONS Sometimes I crave them on Mondays are they're closed!! :(

We arrived just before noon and were able to grab a table inside, though the patio looked like a fun option as well. I went with the brisket bánh mì, the Mrs. had the papa rellena, and our son chose the traditional eggs and bacon. Each meal was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and portioned just right. This is definitely a stop we'll add to the list the next time we're passing through.

There are both bar and table options depending on your needs. We sat at the bar and Michael was our server and also part owner. We didn't notice the huge sign on the wall telling you how to place your drink order. We weren't very hungry but if you are, they have a fairly large menu with literally something for everyone. We tried the garlic cheesy bread. If you don't love fresh garlic, don't order this as it's got a heavy dose of garlic on crunchy, delicious bread. We really enjoyed it. Very good selection of beers as well as higher end wines than a lot of breweries offer. We liked the place so much, I bought a cute woman's t-shirt to remember our fun time here. My husband and I have not been to downtown Sanford but recently did come for a friend's birthday. She wanted to hop around different drink spots and have dinner. Since we carpooled, parking was better. We were able to find street parking. There is no designated parking for this spot. We got there very early and decided to stop here. We ended up coming back later with everyone but we enjoyed it. This is a small bar with standing room only at the bar but then they have a huge back area with lots of bench style tables and seating. Their drink menu is also very large with tons of beer options to choose from. They offered a wide range of beers, craft beer, stouts, ciders and more. I am not a huge craft beer fan so I struggled. I ended up telling the bartender what I like and he had a couple of suggestions. He also let me sample one of the ciders, which I ended up getting. I choose the Cider Boys Strawberry Cider. Really great, not overly sweet just very tasty. My husband loves craft beer and will always look for one with a high ABV. He went with the Voodoo Where our Secrets go Stout Imperial from Pennsylvania. It had a high ABV and was a dark beer, he really enjoyed it. Both times we sat outside. The second time we came over, was later in the evening and more full than the first time. They also had a musician singing, which made it extremely loud and very hard for our group to chat. Overall this is a great spot. If we lived closer I could see us coming here more frequently. We do not find ourselves visiting Sanford a lot but if we are in the area, we would for swing by again. If you live closer, I would highly recommend coming here for the vibes, the ambiance and the beers. You can also bring your dogs which is a nice touch. My only negative is there is not food to order. I would love some bar snacks or pub style food. You can bring your own food in but it would make this an A Plus if you they served food.
