We were in town to close on our new home and wanted something that sounded similar to what we had in Henderson, NV. This restaurant delivered. Great biscuits and gravy. Our server was beyond helpful, polite and actually carried on a conversation without rushing away. She was curious as to why we were in town and gave suggestions for shopping. We will go back. I went for the first time yesterday for breakfast with my mom. I was impressed by their website and array of vegetarian items. There was a good crowd there around 9:30a or so. I ordered a traditional american breakfast of two eggs over medium, english muffin, and hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I wolfed them down in a minute or so. My mom also ordered over medium eggs but specified that she did not like her egg whites runny. Her eggs came out more like over-hard and she was a little disappointed. My hash browns tasted like they just came out of a bag. They were slightly soggy and nothing special about them. I would go back here because I like the atmosphere, service was decent, and food was good enough to come back. I also want to try their black bean burger for lunch. However, I will say, that the prices are very expensive. We're talking, almost $4 for about a 12oz glass of orange juice. I can get a 60oz organic jug of florida orange juice for $5. Was their orange juice organic? I sincerely doubt it, else they would have stated that on the menu. My two eggs, muffin, and potatoes were almost 8 dollars. Kind of pricey. read more

Our waitress Ann S was very friendly, knowledgeable as to the various menu items, made adjustments to fit our needs, and made our visit a very pleasurable experience. Let me preface this review by saying my family is friends of the owner Susan. As a Sarasota local my first impulse is to compare Another Broken Egg Cafe with one of the Broken Egg restaurants around town, but that would be a mistake. Another Broken Egg Cafe is not simply another Broken Egg, brunch here is an exercise in the gourmet. Reading their menu, my eyes immediately jump to words like "ciabatta", "caramelized", "artisan"and other terms that evoke the trendy ingredients that have become hallmarks of modern vogue eateries. Walls are painted warm colors with rustic decorations metallic oversized utensils hanging about. After a warm greeting our meal began with a plate of beignets--piping hot biscuits tossed in powdered sugar with a marmalade to dip them in. For my meal I had the cafe burger that was stacked with caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes and feta. The burger was cooked just as I'd asked with a hint of pink. It came out a little behind the rest of our food, but was worth the wait. Was busy but had no wait time, food came out within 10 minutes after ordering and was perfect. Bathrooms were clean and so is the dining area. Another Broken Egg Cafe is not just another breakfast pop-in. These establishments are the bee knees when it comes to a hearty breakfast. First they are well-appointed in southwest motif and seem very clean. Bathroom (men's) was spotless at our location and that speaks highly of management. Their outdoor cafe areas are nice and provide shaded tables - very good. I enjoyed the standard breakfast that included 2 eggs scrambled (a little dry), bacon, grits instead of potatoes (creamy but stiff - nice), toast and coffee. The food was on the table in a real jiffy so I think the short order cook was flipping, frying, toasting and roasting at high speed. The food was hot, too. This is a regular stop of mine if I'm in the Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton East area near Concession Club golf course. I would recommend it to anyone. Joined the waitlist. When we arrived the host told us we had one table of 2 in front of us. They held open tables outside until they got several together. Manager came and got large party of 10 that was behind us on the Yelp waiting list. When I confronted him, he lied straight to my face and said they were before me. When I told him I took a screenshot and it showed the large party listed after us and the host had even confirmed on check in that there was only a party of 2 before us, he said "do you want to stay on list or leave". No matter how good your food is, customers will not return to be so disrespected!!!! read more

Service was terrible, I requested a turkey wrap (no pesto) add lettuce and tomato. The first time it came with pesto, the second a warm soggy wrap came without lettuce or tomato and was told I could have it on the side. When I spoke with the mgr she said all she could do was hear both sides. Really, there are no sides... just wanted a basic lunch. We never received a check so I approached the mgr she said she took care of my co-workers lunch. It was a nice gesture, wish we did not sit for 20 minutes waiting for the check. We visited yesterday morning for a spot of breakfast before shopping. The choice of omelettes is extensive and there are a handful of other options such as pancakes or french toast. As everything is made fresh to order it's easy to customise your meal and make substitutions. The portions are large (compared to the UK) and the omelettes come with an English muffin and potatoes. Their coffee was also better than most breakfast places I've experienced in Florida. Although the prices are high for the area I think they are good value for money and the staff were all friendly so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend another broken egg. read more

We when there as a party of 7 at 7:00 am and the food looks awesome and tastes the same. A lot of the menu had a New Orleans flare to it which I love. I came here for brunch with my family! We were immediately seated and I had coffee on my table very quickly. Normally I would order one of the eggs benedict dishes but I couldn't resist the waffle sliders! I got them with egg whites and bacon, and fresh fruit instead of potatoes. It COULD NOT have been better. It might be one of the best breakfasts I've ever had and it tasted even better because the staff was so friendly and quick. That agave butter. Call 3 times with no answer and searched Yelp for wait times but was unavailable. I drove to the restaurant today which is about 20 minutes away and was told by a rude hostess that the restaurant is not on Yelp and that the restaurant doesn't answer the phone on weekends. We ate at Another Broken Egg for my birthday and it was wonderful. I had the Blueberry Quinoa Power Bowl with fruit and granola, it was fresh and delicious. My husband had an omelet with goat cheese and ham with some of their signature pepper sauce and loved it, he even bought two bottles of pepper sauce to take home. My son enjoyed the chocolate belgian waffle and the salted caramel coffee. They were very busy and we ate at the bar, our server was very engaging and friendly.
