Their waffles and pancakes aren't just good, they're consistent with texture and flavor! I've had pancakes that get doughy randomly at other places, and it's always a sour note, but that's never happened at Another Broken Egg. I love the Madison location. It has a bar area AND a great outdoor patio area that doesn't blast you with the sun all day. I don't love the crowd. This location is phenomenal! The hostess was super sweet. I asked if I could sit outside even though it was a pretty windy day and she told me that was fine and she would happily move me back inside if the wind got to be too much. My waiter was timely and personable. In fact, the whole staff was! I had a waiter and waitress that weren't even waiting on me come by my table and chat and it was so nice! Last Sunday my family of 8 went to eat brunch at this location. First, our wait time was messed up and when we went to leave the manager Richard asked us to give him a min and he would see what he could do.... he found us a table outside. He apologized for the long wait. When my son sat down he was stung by a bee. There was a pot of flowers near the table that had attracted the bees. My children were terrified, Richard once again went above and beyond to accommodate us, he found us another table inside. During our meal, he checked on us throughout our visit. Richard is a great example of what a manager and staff member should be, I hope his boss sees this post and let's him know that his hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Food could be great, but after joining the wait list online at 10:28 and we then waited for 1 hr and 24mins during which time we were told repeatedly there was no estimated time for our wait. We were told repeatedly we were "2nd in line" while we watched party after party being seated. Joining the online waitlist will do you no good, just FYI. Btw, we were dealing with a 3 yr old this whole time, so that really made this process even more fun. FYI Manager finally came over at 1hr 10 and said they were cleaning our table to come back 10-15 later to say the people hadn't got up yet but they were trying to get them to leave??!! This place is wonderful on Saturday when they first open. The hostess are usually nice greet you with a smile and the waitress just as nice. I value consistency when I visit a restaurant and you will find it here on Saturday mornings. Sunday mornings are a different story because it's when everyone is there like the wait time sometimes it's an hour and then some. The times I have visited on Sunday like clock work I food usually arrives cold. Other than that that's the only downside of visiting on Sunday. The food is really good and the service is great which is why I come back. The negative is the ridiculous wait. To combat that I check in online and get a wait time. A great example of a typical experience is this morning where the online wait was 2 - 12 minutes (great) but actual wait was 25 minutes. If you know going in that the wait is 20-30 minutes then great but when you blow expectations that badly so that you can have a que of customers then I'm pissed by the time I sit down. Doing some exploring and college hunting for the kid and we decided to drop in at one of their locations. First off the Grits. In my quest for the perfect bowl of grits I had to order them. I got the plain ole bowl not the 'city grits' as they call it. I knew in my home state they'd be pretty good and they were. Needed a pinch of salt but otherwise . I had the Mardi Gras omelet and it was amazing. Wife had one of the benedicts and she loved it too. The coffee was money as well. The decor was pretty awesome. It was my first time coming here the other week. I called ahead and put myself on the wait list and I was still waiting for another 40 minutes with being on the wait list, so I ask to be put outside. Our waiter didn't come out until we ask the server from other table to take our order. Then it took about 30-40 minutes before we even got our food. I order the thick slice Hawaiian French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon with some biscuits and gravy and a Baquezo (I think that's how it's spelled) and my husband had a King Edward. The to go order was an Oscar Benedict. The French toast and the side order was really good. Then it just turn horrible when I took a bite of the biscuit and gravy.. It was so salty I had to make the waiter take back the plate. That literally send a shock wave to my brain because of the saltiness of it. The Baquezo was okay.. it wasn't what I had thought it to be. My husband said he would come back for the King Edward. Another Broken Egg Cafe is my favorite restaurant for breakfast, brunch, and Lunch. The atmosphere is amazing and Bright and makes me feel like I'm in New Orleans. Their food is delicious and what a great selection. The service has always been top notch. I know it takes a team to make all this work but there is one person that always makes this my first choice if I'm entertaining clients or just take my parents out for a great breakfast. Richard the bartender/server/ manager is a real assets to his craft. He always remembers my name and knows the three different items I want and has a great smile. Shaquan and Stephanie are always Great. The new Host, I think her name is Laura is super pretty. Props to the chef and cooks in the back because the food is always spectacular. The food is great! The staff has some growing issues to overcome. After a 45 minute wait we were seated next to 3 empty tables. We were told that they were waiting for other people they text to let them know their tables were ready. And then told us they will seat people if the others don't arrive in about 15 minutes. The bus staff moves almost lethargic in clearing and cleaning tables. Most of the wait staff is on game. They are friendly and fast. Went here for breakfast with my wife this morning and everything was fine untill I took my second bite of my pancakes and found either a piece of plastic or rubber glove cooked into the pancake. It was gross! I let our waitress know and she let the mangaer know and she apoligized and said the cook also apoligized and said the bill was taken care of but I think I'll stick with IHOP from now on! The cook should have been fired if it was up to me there is no excuse on how a big old hunk of plastic or rubber glove gets into a pancake. read more

OMG. My had the Stans Mardi Gras and I had the Barquezo...absolutely magnificent..the Beignets were also great ..a little different from the ones in New Orleans but still good. The staff was friendly.Restaurant was also clean and a nice setting..We will definitely return. read more

The peach cobbler pancakes are amazing and do not need syrup. My favorite omelette is the madi gras omelette. Definitely my number one breakfast spot. read more

Went there yesterday for lunch for the first time, the wait didn't bother me, I've seen the line, so I expected it. The wait was right in line with how long they said it would be. I wasn't too thrilled with the table, but since it was very busy, I understand putting a party of two at a small table. I was very disappointed in the waiter. It took him a long time to come get our drink order, then when he did, it took him a long time to bring them. I had to ask twice for a glass of water. When the meal came, the food was very good, but it was only lukewarm. Obviously it had been sitting for some time before being brought to the table. Once he brought the food, he never came back to check on us. We had to finally flag him down (which wasn't easy!) to get more coffee. I understand a place being busy, but customers all around us seemed like they were getting better service. Evidently they offer free Beignets to a first time customer, they place a glass on the table to let the server know. We had to ask twice for them. Overall, the food was good, but between it being only lukewarm and the lackluster service from the waiter, it kind of ruined the experience. I will probably try it one more time to see if it was just a one off thing though.
