Starting with the good - food was delicious, the staff were nice and tried to accommodate us. The bad- waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes to sit, the waiter took half our order and forgot the rest.The hostess had to go find him. The manager got the food out quickly after but needless to say from the moment we were placed on the waiting list to the time we received all the food was 2 hours and a half later. The coffee didn't taste good either. Suggestions would be not to come with a large group or on the weekend. read more

The food here is always amazing. I typically get the crab cake Benedict. The potatoes that come with it are always fresh and crispy. I love the beignets, they come with this orange marmalade like sauce which is delicious. The only downfall is the wait can be pretty long. Before I write my review, I would like to say i've been here many times at the suggestion of others prior to Covid-19. I have ordered many menu items and have experienced the quality of their overall service experience on multiple occasions. This review is also written during Covid, when I picked up my order to go- instead of choosing to sit in a closely-packed restaurant when the Covid numbers are skyrocketing in Florida. Covid Safety: Given the very real threat of Covid to public health on a world-wide scale, some restaurants have decided to open at half- capacity or have spaced out their tables to try and be within 6 feet apart. The Covid-positive numbers are now higher than they were when restaurants and public places closed around March/ April. However, this is not the case at Another Broken Egg. When I went to pick up my order on the go, several people were waiting outside in close proximity, and the restaurant inside has tables very close together filled to capacity to gain maximum profit from maximum in-restaurant customer attendance. Given that Covid is an air-borne spread illness- simply wiping down and disinfecting the tables is not enough of a safety measure. I feel bad for the waiters and waitresses who have no choice but to oblige in order to keep their job. However, if you're a Trump supporter then this section doesn't matter to you; because for you Covid is a hoax even though the entire world is affected, and you erroneously believe the flu is more harmful. However, if you're someone who uses common sense, doesn't watch propaganda, and believes in science - then dining in makes about as much sense as a cloud raining orange kool-aid. Admittance Wait Time: This is this place's second most significant drawback. If you're planning on going without prior reservations, you can expect a 2+ hour wait time. Simply put there isn't enough space to accommodate walk-ins in a timely manner. But placing a reservation is simple enough- just download the Yelp app and put yourself in-line by inputting some personal information. Service: Service seems to be an area comparable to other restaurants. I have never had any rude or significantly negative experiences with any of the waitresses. In general, they promptly come to take your order and like any other restaurant you have to wait 15-20 minutes for your order- depending of course on the volume of customers already there and orders placed beforehand. Food Quality: This is the #1 most significant drawback of Another Broken Egg cafe. But let me clear- the food is not bad or terrible, but it also does not stand out in any particular way. The pancakes I ordered looked and tasted like what I can make at home from an Aunt Jemima pancake mix box. I ordered the peach cobbler pancake combo which comes with eggs in a style of your choice and a sausage of your choice. I ordered scrambled eggs which are equivalent to scrambled eggs found in a school cafeteria- dry, bland, not much texture, special flavoring or anything. They also did not top the peach cobbler pancakes with whipped cream, which was in the description and put very few peaches on top . I've ordered the Floridian Omelette which was my least favorite menu item. When it came the omelette bowl was very watery on bottom - and the omelette was kind of tough in texture which tells me that the omelette was not freshly cooked. I've also ordered the Stuffed Belgian Waffle which i'm not sure is on the menu anymore- but it was a belgian waffle that is supposed to be stuffed with chocolate and some strawberries on top and whipped cream. They skimped on the chocolate stuffing where they only put a meager bit of melted chocolate in the center. Honestly, I have no idea why people pack this place when you can make better food on your own, with more flavor in 15 minutes. Do yourselves a favor and go to First Watch who have amazing giant slightly crispy on the outside pancakes, avocado toast- and generally have a higher quality and tasty menu. read more

First time eating at ABE. Eat out almost daily so I know what makes a good restaurant experience and the Pembroke Pines ABE is the best! Great menu with interesting choices, great hot coffee, and outstanding service. I asked to customize my order and they did without hesitation. The coffee was bold and hot! This could have VERY nearly been a BAD review HOWEVER Great service saves the day every time Treating myself to a birthday breakfast I yelped healthy options and this came up among many. I scrolled but came back because the name was interesting and I saw the Lobster Omelette and that I had to try. My excitement died however after walking in to seeing people who I'd seen walk in a GOOD 5 minutes before me had yet to be seated in an empty restaurant that had been open well over an hr AND people were still setting. BUT that may just be me being over observant. There was no hostess so I waited and a few minutes went by and she sat the family in front of me then finally got to me by which time I was somewhat ready to go but I really wanted that omelette! After being seated I sat for ANOTHR 5/6 minutes not being greeted/ acknowledged while I saw servers walking around even standing at the hostess stand watching me . As I'm about to get up and leave enters Shawn... and I do hope I'm spelling her name right. Cool calm and collected took my order. Recommended a different cheese when I said I didn't like Brie and the pepper jack went perfect. She up sold a pancake and made sure my coffee cup remained full. My food cane out great the Lobster Omelette was to die for but my potatoes were too salty that was a shame as I love potatoes but all in all I had a great meal. It would just be a shame to see such an amazing gem not get the credit it deserves. This was so close to being a 2 star rating but Thanks to Ms Shawn it was closer to a 5. The first time I went, the really nice lady that was working the bar area offered me a free half order of the beignets and when I went back last week, I definitely ordered it. Sooo good!! I've also had the Floridian omelette and the shrimp and Grits. Neither disappointed. My boyfriend had the lobster and Brie omelette and that was to die for as well. For food I would give this restaurant 5 stars, but service, specifically hostesses, I would definitely rate them at 1-2 stars. Hosts have NO IDEA how to adequately situate patrons. Yes, the space is very small, but it seems like teenagers or inexperienced people are deciding where people sit and wait times are atrocious! They have an online "wait-list" which serves absolutely no purpose, wait goes from walk-ins at 9am to 2.5 hours at 10am. It's nuts and they NEED a larger space with more competent front house staff. Managers and servers are great though, but it has to start being easier to get a table here.... Usually we just go to the Metro Diner down Pines Blvd. It is lightening fast and delicious, but Another Broken Egg is special, pull it together! read more

I ordered the nellies chicken sandwich to go and I received a whole other sandwich. Not only does the nellies not come with cheese, but it comes with avocado and onions. The sandwich I received came with cheese (which I'm lactose) and did not come with avocado or onions. Also, the bread was not the same as the nellies. I've passed by this location many times and it was always busy and now I see why! Delicious! I had no idea that it was a Louisiana style restaurant! Yummy beignets (they are tiny but delish) and great breakfast specials. They also have many brunch cocktails including mimosas and bloody Mary's. I had the hey Lucy omelet which was filled with cheese and chorizo and came with salsa and sour cream. It was a little bit overcooked but had a great flavor. The breakfasts come with potatoes or grits and English muffin. You also could sub for fruit for extra. Our server took awhile to get to our table but once their she was quick to refill coffee and water and was very helpful and friendly. There are not a lot of tables in here so I can see how it gets busy. We came on a Tuesday morning and by the time we left at 10 am there was a wait for tables! I had heard such great things about this place, so much so that we came up from Homestead to eat here. I was so disappointed with the food. I don't know if they were overwhelmed or what but everything was horrible. I ordered the Bananas foster sweet temptations breakfast. They brought me french toast instead of pancakes, My scrambled eggs were so overcooked they were dry and they tasted artificial almost chemical like. My daughters bacon was burnt to the point they were black. My friend ordered the kahlua coffee and it was just a cup of Kahlua on the side, nothing like it was pictured on the menu. The beignets were fried till they were hard and dark brown. I brought my mom here for her birthday and if I'm being honest, the food was not the best. I had the eggs Benedict and had everyone at the table try it as well and we all thought it was awful. I've had it before elsewhere and thought it was amazing.... so idk what happened here. My sisters boyfriend ordered an omelette with crab meat and so did my mom and they enjoyed their meals (thankfully) and my sister ordered a burger but said it tasted pretty plain. So food wise, it wasn't the best. But the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the staff was amazing and very attentive to us which I really appreciated. Briana was our waitress and I was very happy with her service. She noticed I was not enjoying my meal and offered to swap it for something else which not a lot of places do. We got in line via the "No Wait" app and we didn't get seated until almost an hour after arriving at the suggested time. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. My boyfriend ordered an omelet with no mushrooms, yet it was brought out with mushrooms and had to be remade. By the time it was served, he no longer wanted to eat it. Worth every star!! My review is a little late as I actually ate here a little while back but they deserve to get these 5 stars. I actually had a few issues while I was here and they STILL get 5 stars lol. First, there was quite a long wait but the staff goes out of their way to make that a little easier by offering your free coffee and these AMAZING gourmet muffins while you wait. Second, the whole restaurant has this open bright homey feeling. Reminded me of my mom's house :D When we order our food I wanted to try one of their bloody marys and when I chose the tomatillo one, she advised I try some of the mixer first before committing in case I didn't like it (I didn't so, thanks!) but the bloody mary I did end up ordering WAS THE BEST. They spiced the vodka with peppers and it's their own homemade bloody mary mix. Literally, the best one I've ever had. Then we ordered our food. My boyfriend has dietary restrictions and the waitress took extra care sure she understood and got everything (didn't even seem the slightest bit annoyed which anyone with a food allergy can attest how rare that is). The kitchen manager personally brought the food out and assured us it was cooked safely but then we realized they had forgotten one of our orders entirely (it wasn't even rang up) and apologized profusely. We're not really the kind of people to just get super pissy so it was unnecessary but appreciated. Not like it mattered because I kid you not they had that food out so fast I figured they must have summoned it through a magic breakfast portal! I haven't even mentioned how perfectly cooked everything was! The rest of the meal was filled with "omg taste this" and "mmmm this is so good" and "I'm getting that next time". TBH I have been putting off this place because I heard some not so great things about the Destin location but, man, I was not disappointed! I will for sure be coming back!! read more
