Biscuit & Gravy Barista House Blend Coffee

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good.The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

Came for brunch to catch up with a friend! Service - fast and pretty quick. They were quite busy that day but were still able to help us efficiently. Food was pretty good. I ordered the southwest scramble with a side of grits and and the buttermilk pancakes. Another quick little brunch spot for a quick bite.

First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. 2 stack of pancakes came with it. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

It had been awhile since I've been to Another Broken Egg but I must say the food did not disappoint me. I ordered the lemon French toast with strawberry and blackberries it was amazing so light not overly citrus just the right amount of lemon. The bacon is always a good choice as well as the grits and eggs. The service was A1 she was very helpful with answering questions that we had about the menu. Ambiance was another broken egg very casual atmosphere I will try to do better and not take to long to return.

This little breakfast and brunch gem came highly recommended by friends who recently bought a house in that general area. I've always loved visiting The Woodlands, and even got to live there for a year. So when I got word of a new brunch place up there, I was excited to try it. Instantly it reminded me of Snooze. Breakfast and Brunch only, and a long wait on my first visit. It was just before 11am and the wait was over 45 minutes. No matter, if it's worth it. There is free, self-serve coffee right behind the Hostess Counter, so help yourself! If you're like me, mornings = need coffee! Since other Yelpers highly recommended it, I ordered the Hot Chocolate. I wasn't planning on drinking anything alcoholic today. Don't worry, I was fine :) My friend argued she could make the same thing at home and it wasn't special. So could you make that same hot chocolate at home? Yes. Was it good? Also yes. I ordered the Blackstone Benedict with a side of City Grits. Were they good? Yes. Was it the best I've ever had? No. I think in part, my friends set my expectations really high, so I was expecting something I never experienced before. Instead I got a good meal, but the Benedict wasn't the best I've ever had. The very next weekend we all came back. A little earlier with a shorter wait (20 minutes or so). This time I checked out the back patio. Since the weather was overcast and a little cold the patio wasn't being served either time. It is a nice New Orleans style patio with a fountain and plenty of space. I look forward to coming on a warmer, sunny day and experiencing it! Like Snooze you can order a pancake flight. Unlike Snooze you can't mix and match pancakes with French Toast on the flight. Bummer, I wanted to try everything! Instead I got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Instead of bread, it is a slice from a cinnamon roll, topped with syrup and berries. Nothing else needs to be added. Very delicious! Also I'll add that I got Coffee with Baileys this second visit and it was good. One of my friends loves the Spiked Nutella Iced Latte and highly recommends it. I was planning on giving it 3.5-3.75 stars after visit one, but since visit two yielded tastier food I have to give it a Solid 4. The place is growing on me. It is worth noting that both times came with excellent service. I look forward to going back and trying more drinks and different menu items. Sitting on the back patio in the spring, is definitely on my list as well. read more

This breakfast place has delicious food! We shared a flight of pancakes because I had to try the blueberry lemon goat cheese pancake (delicious!!!) and the bananas fosters (over the top, a bit too sweet for me) and a good ole chocolate chip (classic.). And we also shared a chicken m waffles which was eggcelent. (Couldn't resist.). My hubby loved that the chicken was not battered, so it's healthier! And just as delicious. We got the spicy maple sauce on the side. We ordered way too much food, but everything was good. The service was solicitous too. read more

I've passed by this place a couple times a day and finally decided to stop by. I sat at the bar next to some lovely strangers. I got the crab Benedict with a side of fried green tomatoes with 2 blackberry Mamosa. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. Arrived around 8:30am, the place was packed however there were a couple of tables available. By 8:45, there was a line waiting to get in. I was very impressed with the menu options. It was our first time, so the waitress brought us a free biscuit beignets. They were quite delicious served with honey marmalade. I had the Mardi Gras Omelette with City Grits. The flavors were fantastic. My other half had the Bourbon Street Pancakes and they were absolutely delightful. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and helpful in making our breakfast choices. We intend on visiting again, in our area. read more

We enjoy dining here...when we are able to get a seat. The place is SO GOOD that it is BAD. Whatever happened to the days where you could walk in and pick a seat wherever you liked? Weekends are the only time when we as a family can venture out to the Portofino location. When we drive by and see swarms of people hanging out in the front (I know there is a pleasant waiting area in the back also), its going to be a long wait. Consider yourself lucky if your wait time is 30 minutes or less. We have not been so lucky and wait times have been 45-60 minutes. It would be so AWESOME if there was another location "inside the Woodlands bubble." The biscuit beignets are a MUST HAVE! The ingredients they use for their omelets are fresh and well worth the price. Not sure if they now offer reservations or call-ahead seating...but that would be a nice feature. read more

Kind of actually very surprised at the price. I'd been craving a waffle and my first choice was closed so I figured hey might as well try getting a waffle from here. The waffles are, I think 5$ stand alone, and they were not worth that much. The omelette was really heavy handed on the goat cheese which is assertive to begin with. The sausage was really overpowering with some herb or spice. I'm guessing sage? I'm not sure but it was definitely there. I'm not sure if they mix their own sausage patties or if they're premade but it was really egregious. Side potatoes were bleh. Tastes like a frozen bag, nothing special. Biscuits and gravy were also just okay. Shout out to whoever cooked my eggs. Never, not once, have I EVER ordered eggs scrambled hard, and had someone actually cook them scrambled hard. Whoever you are just know you brought a hard cooked tear to my eye. For 2 people, with tip it was I think close to $40 which kind of sucks to spend that much on eggs and a waffle. read more

Stoped here first time while shopping. The shrimp and grits were good. I had not tried the "city grits" however our server, Sara, brought a sample and sold me on them. Go for it. Tried the seasonal eggnog. Very tasty and not heavy. Wife is on a restricted diet so she could only try gluten free toast and avacoldo. She enjoyed the toast but if you can't have butter ask them to toast it opposed to grilling the bread. Our server was amazing. read more

Very busy chain restaurant focused on breakfast /brunch. I'm going to call it the Chili's of breakfast. Don't get me wrong! It's serviceable. The coffee is Denny's level of SHRUG. The gluten free options are few. Vegetarian options are better. The people that come here like mass produced, unimaginative fare that lies in your stomach like a bloating balloon. If you are gluten-free, there aren't a lot of breakfast choices here. This place would be awesome for a family breakfast, if it's early. Your grandmother can certainly live with it. I want to reiterate that it's not a bad place. It's just not great food, and if I'm going out, I want great food. read more

How have I just now discovered this!?! Amazing specialty coffee drinks. I had two Cafe St. Charles (baileys, Kahlua, Godiva, coffee). Bananas foster waffle was so good, foster sauce was on point! Country potatoes were amazing. Bacon was perfect. And the half order of the biscuit beignets reminded me of my Louisiana home. Will most definitely be back. read more

I have experienced prompt and friendly service every visit. There is always coffee and water set up for guest while waiting for a table (there has ALWAYS been a 20 - 40 minute wait time). My most recent visit I tried the Eggs Blackstone under their signature Benedicts (grilled tomatoes, two poached eggs, hollandaise, chopped baked bacon and green onions) Absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the regular hollandaise sauce much more than the chipotle version on their black bean, and replacing the bean patties with chopped bacon fixed the issue from pervious times: the black bean benedict was really dry both times I have ordered it. ps, The Hey Lucy omelet is still awesome and the biscuits and gravy is the bomb. read more

Nice concept but I feel the menu choices and prices are too high for anything more than an occasional indulgence such as entertaining guests. I had the Chez B's which was very good but the tiny English muffin could have been improved at this price point with one from Wolferman's. I ordered the Mediterranean potatoes which were first brought out as regular home fries. I was disappointed with the original request. Roasted potatoes with bitter charred black onions and a bit of Feta. Quickly caramelized onions with a few tomatoes would have more palatable. I could only wish I hadn't ordered them. read more

Waited 45 minutes but I would say it is worth the wait. First Tip: Grab a to-go coffee from the outside patio while you wait then you can fill it again before you seat. FOR FREE! We started with the Biscuit Beignets. My boyfriend really enjoyed them, too sweet for my liking. If you like beignets you will for sure be a fan. My boyfriend got the Waffle Sliders (on the lunch menu) and he wouldn't get them again. He said the eggs were overdone and rubbery. He enjoyed the waffle and bacon that came on it. He ended up separating each ingredient and going from there. He also got the Mediterranean Potatoes with them..which he said tasted like pure onions. He was disappointed with his overall. ME ON THE OTHER HAND, Loved my meal!!!! I got the Supreme Omelet - sautéed onions, double sausage, mushrooms & cheese. With a side of house potatoes. All dipped in that yummy table sauce they have. Another Broken Egg is a hidden gem in The Woodlands area. This spacious restaurant offers a great menu selection for breakfast/brunch, has great coffee, a lovely outdoor patio and huge TVs for watching sports. Sadly, being that it is located just east of 45 it is overlooked by so many patrons. There are quite a few popular breakfast spots in The Woodlands and because of their location they enjoy a great many more visitors than they deserve. I haven't seen Another Broken Egg packed to the seams yet and that is everyones loss. Their food is much better than that of other places I have brunched in The Woodlands and the environment is much less high-strung. Its easy to relax, talk with family and friends here and I have never had to battle for a table. This is quickly becoming my go-to for brunch when I'm in town. My came out cold so I sent half of it back, the pancakes and potatoes and grits were not even warm. So when it came back out the eggs were cold. Wasn't the servers fault and I'm pretty sure food would've been good but not that morning. The manager Eddie took care or me so I will try again. I was Thankful that the manager was cool. read more

No salt on the tables. Overall, the experience and the food were marginal and borderline acceptable, but definitely unremarkable. Service is another story however. She was nice, just not very good at her craft.

We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

If you just need a basic one, this will do. It's nothing fancy. For comparison, their fresh margaritas start at $12 currently. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table. The portions are quite large and reasonably priced. Our first time here. We arrived at 11:30 and was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and paid special attention to ensuring my children were enjoying themselves. The potatoes and waffles here are amazing! Our family did have the beignets, they were ok, but only because I've had high expectations of beignets since visiting cafe du monde in New Orleans.
