Smoked Salmon Benedict-No bread, eggs scrambled

10/10 everytime I eat here... Stopped by during lunch with some workers. The restaurant was busy however the wait to be seated was not long. Service was speedy and everyone was pleased with their options. I ordered the Salmon Benedict with no bread and eggs scrambled. The fresh salmon with the tangy capers is a perfect combination! Overall great!

I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

Stopped by Another Broken Egg for a solo brunch date and honestly... this place understood the assignment. From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." Service was friendly and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate when I'm dining solo. I had everything I needed, when I needed it, and never felt forgotten. All in all, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. Great food, good drinks, chill atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back--solo or with company. Sometimes you just need a good plate, a good drink, and your own peace, and Another Broken Egg delivered all three.

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good.The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

So delicious & I can see why there is such a long wait for a table on the weekends. It is a NOLA inspired brunch. We had the beignets to start. They were so warm and sweet. The marmalade sauce was a great touch for a tangy flavor. I ordered the crab cakes & fried green tomatoes. It was so good. It is a light meal but it was delicious. I had never had fried green tomatoes before and I was so impressed with my plate. Wasn't soggy at all. The crab cakes were great as well. They weren't salty. I had a great experience here. I was passing through to Dallas wanting to get there before traffic begins. I was told it would be 20 minutes but it was more like a 33 min wait for one dish. And I paid about $12 for the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler for this in the picture. This didn't have enough spinach for it to be called a spinach scrambler and got to me cold. The only positive was the to go specialist. She was sweet. I wish I could reply to the owner's response cause I sincerely don't care about the half apology I was given lol. I have worked in the food service industry for 5+ years in numerous positions, so things should be handled differently. read more

Best service I can remember. The food at this location is consistent with other ABEC locations, but the server we had here was absolutely next level. He is the reason I am giving this review. The most attentive, polite, and positive server I can remember. I mean great. The people sitting next to us looked at our table and said, "Wow, this is the best server I've ever had". Our waitress was the bomb! Very friendly. We visited Spring Tx on a business trip from Dallas and decided to stop here on our way back home we have a few locations in Dallas but never visited. This is my first time visiting this location but I've visited the Pensacola, FL location in the past. The wait was only 5-10mins to be seated. The food came out in like 5-10 mins max. I sat down and had no idea what to get. Kassy who took my order got me Beignets on the house. I have to say this is the best and happiest brunch place I've ever been too. Everyone is smiling and the food is delicious. The Beignets where the best I ever had. Have you ever had eggs Benedict with hashbrowns instead of an English muffin. OMG THIS IS SO AMAZING. Quick service variety of items. If you just want eggs,bacon,grits, muffin and coffee it will set you back $14 plus tip. Better to go to Dennys for the basics but I was in a hurry and this was convenient. Great for groups, breakfast meetings, senior groups. All of the above were present at 11am They serve honey if you ask. Half and half as well as French vanilla is served chilled in single use plastic containers. Copper topped tables, bench and padded wood chair seating. The center tables in the open have small tops and it's not fun to sit with everyone glancing at your food. HVAC feels good and they have an outside courtyard to wait if it's busy. Bar seating means no waiting for your buzzer. The pan dishes are very popular. read more

Another broken egg has the BEST gluten free pancakes that I have ever had. They had plain gluten free pancakes on the menu but my server let me include anything I wanted on top. I'm not sure if the food is celiac safe, but it is definitely gluten friendly and delicious :) read more

Update: We'll now they have decided to start charging extra for tomatoes after two years of not!!! We will not be coming back. The Toasted Yolk is much closer and I like their ham better anyway. Our absolute favorite breakfast spot!!! Delicious food and great service!! Also great for a Whole Food or Keto diet! No hassles over substitutions Look at all that avocado!!! read more

Best shrimp & grits I've ever had!!! My son had the lobster omelette and said it was amazing as well. We did have a 25 minute wait when we arrived at 10:00 am but it was well worth it! Wish I could remember my servers name because she was awesome. 5 star service for sure. We will definitely be back! read more

I went with a group. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. I was disappointed that the chicken was chicken tenders. That is not Chicken & Waffles. I expected real chicken with bones. This place is quite amazing. The food is fresh, cooked just right, and served hot! Plus the menu is imaginative and inviting. Not to mention the place has a full bar. Yes, a full bar. For breakfast! Take a look at their Bloody Mary. The spiked Nutella coffee comes loaded with a beignet and bacon. Sound crazy? Try DELICIOUS! And of course, it's all served with a friendly smile. Just try not to love the cinnamon roll french toast. This sweet treat beings new meaning to breakfast. Bonus: the icing saves any need for syrup. The only downside is that I've had bits of egg shells in my eggs and, once, my companion had crab bits of crab shell in her crab. Each time the waitstaff were very apologetic and made it right. Another Broken Egg Cafe is the best breakfast restaurant in the Houston Area. I've visited the restaurant twice a few months apart and both times Kassy was the best at taking my order. She took care to pack up the to go order well, and I can tell you that the Belgian Waffle and the Eggs Benedict are excellent. I would have posted photos of the food, but pictures would be better taken for dine-in plates rather than to-go containers. The photos from other reviewers here who chose to dine inside show great presentation of their really good food. As I waited for my order, every plate servers brought out of the kitchen for customers looked too good to pass up. I look forward to returning sooner than before and eating in their restaurant rather than getting a to-go order. If you're looking for a late-brunch date, Another Broken Egg Cafe is the spot to be! * * * First of all, let's talk about the atmosphere. It's such a cute place, especially for pictures. I enjoy their intentional use of warm shades to make the cafe homey and bright, simultaneously. Secondly, the waiters and waitresses are all so welcoming and quick to their feet. They are determined to make you feel at home and comfortable, bringing homemade & utterly-delicious food to your table in a timely fashion. Now, for the most interesting and important part of this review is the food. Let's talk about the food. WOW. INCREDIBLE. Their traditional menu looks just as spectacular as their seasonal menu tasted, although we were craving for the fall season so we did not get to try their traditional plates. There's always next time, though! My daughter got the dipped Banana Bread French toast with cinnamon-baked apples, walnuts, and raisins. That just blew our taste buds off our tongue! Then, I ordered their pumpkin waffle and it completely satisfied the Autumn desire I was having. Each plate came with two egg and a choice of meat (bacon or sausage), which was great. We stayed full and happy until dinner time around 8p! The bacon was mouth-watering and cooked at its crispiest degree. The chicken sausage was surprisingly delicious, especially for me because I am not one to typically like breakfast sausage. The house-brewed coffee was roasted to perfection. We wanted to try their seasonal coffee; however, they ran out whenever we came (~1:45p). If you want to try their special coffee, you gotta get there slightly earlier before their closing time around 2p. One thing I found interesting was that each month they trade seasonal coffees, normally pairing it with a specific country. Like last season, it was coffee from Equador. Really good food and priced quite reasonably. Be prepared for a wait when you arrive because this place is very popular. The wait times weren't terribly long either. Our waitress Katie was extremely sweet and gave some excellent recommendations on what to try. The food was very flavorful and the portions were good sized. I highly recommend the banana bread French toast. The Brie on it really compliments it. All of it was wonderful read more

This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.

My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table. The portions are quite large and reasonably priced.
