Biscuit & Gravy Barista House Blend Coffee

I had been craving biscuits and gravy for weeks so I stopped by to check them out! I ordered coffee w some hazelnut syrup and Jaqueline hooked me up with some cold foam on top which normally I'm not a fan off needless to say it was a great call on her part and I really enjoyed it! Everyone on staff was attentive kind and helpful. The place was clean and organized. They helped me checkout w Apple Pay and thankfully I got my biscuit fix which was great!

I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. Somehow they managed to make it taste creamy. The crab Benedict needed some salt and they could have used about half the green onions. It was good overall though.

At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. But we gotta keep feeding the Yelp gods to maintain that Allstar status. ;)

I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good.The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service.

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. The menu was vast and lots of specialty drinks were offered too. Overall I will probably be back when in the area but not on the weekend. Outside seating and a bar service available too.

Came here with a large group for breakfast. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table but the staff was super friendly and got us seated and drink orders taken quickly. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Other people at our table also had some dishes that didn't quite hit the mark but the service was great and they have a lovely outside seating area with a beautiful fountain so I'd be willing to visit and try more of the menu based on our experience.

Came for brunch to catch up with a friend! Service - fast and pretty quick. They were quite busy that day but were still able to help us efficiently. Food was pretty good. First time here. Got to restaurant around 1120 and it was busy for a Saturday. But it only took 5 minutes to sit us down. Sami G was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the biscuits and gravy. 2 stack of pancakes came with it. One thing I like I received military discount and to me it means a lot for my 24 yrs of service to this country. I will be back next time I am up in the area of Conroe/Woodlands area

Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. The whole time, it felt like we were being rushed out the door, when our whole visit was 32 minutes which included the time it took for a busy restaurant to get our food out.

There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with.

It had been awhile since I've been to Another Broken Egg but I must say the food did not disappoint me. I ordered the lemon French toast with strawberry and blackberries it was amazing so light not overly citrus just the right amount of lemon. The bacon is always a good choice as well as the grits and eggs. The service was A1 she was very helpful with answering questions that we had about the menu. Ambiance was another broken egg very casual atmosphere I will try to do better and not take to long to return.

I was passing through to Dallas wanting to get there before traffic begins. I was told it would be 20 minutes but it was more like a 33 min wait for one dish. And I paid about $12 for the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler for this in the picture. This didn't have enough spinach for it to be called a spinach scrambler and got to me cold. The only positive was the to go specialist. She was sweet. I wish I could reply to the owner's response cause I sincerely don't care about the half apology I was given lol. I have worked in the food service industry for 5+ years in numerous positions, so things should be handled differently. read more

Best service I can remember. The food at this location is consistent with other ABEC locations, but the server we had here was absolutely next level. He is the reason I am giving this review. The most attentive, polite, and positive server I can remember. I mean great. The people sitting next to us looked at our table and said, "Wow, this is the best server I've ever had". Our waitress was the bomb! Very friendly. We visited Spring Tx on a business trip from Dallas and decided to stop here on our way back home we have a few locations in Dallas but never visited. This is my first time visiting this location but I've visited the Pensacola, FL location in the past. The wait was only 5-10mins to be seated. The food came out in like 5-10 mins max. Quick service variety of items. If you just want eggs,bacon,grits, muffin and coffee it will set you back $14 plus tip. Better to go to Dennys for the basics but I was in a hurry and this was convenient. Great for groups, breakfast meetings, senior groups. All of the above were present at 11am They serve honey if you ask. Half and half as well as French vanilla is served chilled in single use plastic containers. Copper topped tables, bench and padded wood chair seating. The center tables in the open have small tops and it's not fun to sit with everyone glancing at your food. HVAC feels good and they have an outside courtyard to wait if it's busy. Bar seating means no waiting for your buzzer. The pan dishes are very popular. read more

I went with a group. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. I was disappointed that the chicken was chicken tenders. That is not Chicken & Waffles. I expected real chicken with bones. Update: We'll now they have decided to start charging extra for tomatoes after two years of not!!! We will not be coming back. The Toasted Yolk is much closer and I like their ham better anyway. Our absolute favorite breakfast spot!!! Delicious food and great service!! Also great for a Whole Food or Keto diet! No hassles over substitutions Look at all that avocado!!! read more

Best shrimp & grits I've ever had!!! My son had the lobster omelette and said it was amazing as well. We did have a 25 minute wait when we arrived at 10:00 am but it was well worth it! This place is quite amazing. The food is fresh, cooked just right, and served hot! Plus the menu is imaginative and inviting. Not to mention the place has a full bar. Yes, a full bar. For breakfast! Take a look at their Bloody Mary. The spiked Nutella coffee comes loaded with a beignet and bacon. Sound crazy? Try DELICIOUS! And of course, it's all served with a friendly smile. Just try not to love the cinnamon roll french toast. This sweet treat beings new meaning to breakfast. Bonus: the icing saves any need for syrup. The only downside is that I've had bits of egg shells in my eggs and, once, my companion had crab bits of crab shell in her crab. Each time the waitstaff were very apologetic and made it right. But... I recommend to chew carefully. Still, I'll be back. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe is the best breakfast restaurant in the Houston Area. I've visited the restaurant twice a few months apart and both times Kassy was the best at taking my order. She took care to pack up the to go order well, and I can tell you that the Belgian Waffle and the Eggs Benedict are excellent. I would have posted photos of the food, but pictures would be better taken for dine-in plates rather than to-go containers. The photos from other reviewers here who chose to dine inside show great presentation of their really good food. As I waited for my order, every plate servers brought out of the kitchen for customers looked too good to pass up. I look forward to returning sooner than before and eating in their restaurant rather than getting a to-go order. Really good food and priced quite reasonably. Be prepared for a wait when you arrive because this place is very popular. The wait times weren't terribly long either. Our waitress Katie was extremely sweet and gave some excellent recommendations on what to try. The food was very flavorful and the portions were good sized. If you're looking for a late-brunch date, Another Broken Egg Cafe is the spot to be! * * * First of all, let's talk about the atmosphere. It's such a cute place, especially for pictures. I enjoy their intentional use of warm shades to make the cafe homey and bright, simultaneously. Secondly, the waiters and waitresses are all so welcoming and quick to their feet. They are determined to make you feel at home and comfortable, bringing homemade & utterly-delicious food to your table in a timely fashion. Now, for the most interesting and important part of this review is the food. Let's talk about the food. WOW. INCREDIBLE. Their traditional menu looks just as spectacular as their seasonal menu tasted, although we were craving for the fall season so we did not get to try their traditional plates. There's always next time, though! My daughter got the dipped Banana Bread French toast with cinnamon-baked apples, walnuts, and raisins. That just blew our taste buds off our tongue! Then, I ordered their pumpkin waffle and it completely satisfied the Autumn desire I was having. Each plate came with two egg and a choice of meat (bacon or sausage), which was great. We stayed full and happy until dinner time around 8p! The bacon was mouth-watering and cooked at its crispiest degree. The chicken sausage was surprisingly delicious, especially for me because I am not one to typically like breakfast sausage. The house-brewed coffee was roasted to perfection. We wanted to try their seasonal coffee; however, they ran out whenever we came (~1:45p). If you want to try their special coffee, you gotta get there slightly earlier before their closing time around 2p. One thing I found interesting was that each month they trade seasonal coffees, normally pairing it with a specific country. Like last season, it was coffee from Equador. What was a disappointment: - total of 1 lifeguard for the entire pool area, which included three pools and a lazy river with a wave area. There is "swim at your own risk" signage, but that is NOT a family friendly environment. - there is a 1x/ day arts and crafts that you have to pay extra to do. - the other staff-led activities were bingo, movie by the pool, and karaoke. The staff was not energetic, smiling, or enthusiastic with the exception of the activities manager who led the water melon eating contest. - it rained for one of the afternoons so we all went into the conference center for games. Wow was that disappointing. The staff was sitting around at a table, no music, no explanation of the table games, not interacting with the guests. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. Of course the manager said that is absolutely not true. - the staff didn't know how to work the projector for karaoke so the kids just used a laptop that the staff member had sitting on her lap. Minimal interaction etc. The events team staff (minus the supervisor) was really subpar. Easily made for a 2 rating for sure. This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

My daughter (who's in culinary at school) had actually made pupusas in her kitchen lab that same day, so she convinced me we had to try them -- and she was right. They were absolutely delicious and the perfect appetizer to share. For our entrées, she ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and said they were really good. I had the garden green salad topped with grilled shrimp and grilled chicken -- so flavorful! The sauce on the salad was amazing, and I also ordered chimichurri on the side, which made it even better. The service truly stood out. Our waiter was welcoming and attentive, and we even had two managers stop by to check on us, which made us feel valued. In summary, I was not really impressed with my meal, but this is a super casual place and the prices are right. I started off with their house small frozen margarita. If you just need a basic one, this will do. It's nothing fancy. For comparison, their fresh margaritas start at $12 currently. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

I was eager to try out a new breakfast spot, and upon arrival, I was promptly seated by a very attentive and kind waitress. Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. However, I'll be steering clear of the same dish next time around. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table. The portions are quite large and reasonably priced. Our first time here. We arrived at 11:30 and was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and paid special attention to ensuring my children were enjoying themselves. The potatoes and waffles here are amazing! Our family did have the beignets, they were ok, but only because I've had high expectations of beignets since visiting cafe du monde in New Orleans. all of the employees were very at-tentative to everything we needed and made sure we always had full drinks. our party was 6 and our table was full and 2 people showed up unexpectedly and they made plenty of room and adapted to our needs. the food came out very fast and tasted amazing. their menu provides variety and it was hard to pick because everything tasted so good and the price was extremely affordable! We love the food; the atmosphere, and the coffee cups. My one disappointment in the past is that many times the patio is closed.
