Have no idea what's wrong today. My utensils were sent dirty. It took me 8 minutes to wait for my server and finally I had to stand up to get her attention. There few shrimp shells in my omelette, and the server didn't ask if I needed any sauce. (Also my fault because I got so hungry and didn't ask.) 8 minutes after getting my utensils, the server asked if I needed a box. Well, I hoped she asked if I needed more coffee instead. Finally i requested more coffee when she brought me my check, but no creamer... I usually came here for a perfect start of the day, but not today. read more

This is another example of an overpriced place with poor to no management. Waited 35 minutes on a chicken salad sandwich. When it arrived, it looked as if someone stuck two fingers in some runny chicken salad and smeared it on some toast. To add insult to injury, the cook or whoever placed the stem end of a tomato on it. I unfortunately had to use the restroom only to discover no toilet paper. Then I went to wash my hands---no paper towels. Is this the same restroom the employees use as well??? How nasty can an eating establishment get??? I am happy for the owners that they have a customer base that has succumbed to mediocrity and enjoy paying exorbitantly for it. As for me, I will not return. To end on a positive note, however, what little I tasted had a good flavor, but it wasn't worth the wait nor the price nor the nastiness. read more

The restaurant opens at 7am. I arrived at 7:10 and immediately put in my order with the waitress at the bar - eggs, bacon, toast, that's it. 30 min later I'm still waiting on my food, and I know if I don't leave very soon, I'll be late for work. At 7:50 they brought out my food. I literally had to gulp it down before dashing out the door to work. $21 for eggs, toast and bacon that I didn't even get to enjoy because I had to eat it so fast. There is nothing wrong with the food here, I've always liked the food. But the management of this location is terrible. If a restaurant opens at 7, they should be ready to cook at 7 - instead, when you go in here, you see a lot of milling around, and workers straggling in late. And if you sit at the bar, you hear a lot of confusion and shouting going on in the kitchen - and it certainly doesn't sound professional, or like people are working. It sounds more like a lot of people goofing off. This restaurant might open at 7, but they aren't ready to actually cook and serve food until almost 8. Now, that's just the result of a poorly run and poorly managed location. read more

One word: AMAZING. We had never heard of this place before coming to Shreveport, but apparently there are quite a few locations. None of the casino's really have great breakfast options, so I found this cafe through Yelp. It was the top option with the highest star rating & I'm not surprised at all. This was by far the cutest little breakfast cafe I have ever been in. They have collectible coffee cups which I loved. I loved the ambiance before we ever even got our food. Our waitress was Taylor. She's so awesome y'all. Very friendly, patient & accommodating without being overwhelming. She asked if it was our first visit & since it was, we got a half order of their biscuit beignets. It's been quite a while since I visited Cafe Du Monde in NOLA, but I saw another Yelper share that he far preferred ABEC's beignets over those of the famous cafe in NOLA & I have to say I wholeheartedly agree. If you visit this place and don't try them, you've seriously missed out. We never wanted to leave! We ordered three drinks, I had the spiked cold brew & a regular mimosa, while my fiancée had the lemon blueberry mimosa. I loved both my drinks & he liked his also. He ordered the omelette that has shrimp & crawfish, which he loved while I had a Belgian Waffle with potatoes. The potatoes were SO GOOD. There really wasn't anything about this place I didn't love. What can I say started out with eggs over easy and a plate of bacon. Eggs were solid and very real tasting Bacon was out of this world. Not too thick nor too thin. Moved onto Bananas Foster. My God it was the best thing going. Pancakes done firmly fresh bananas and that syrup mixed in with whip cream, I ate it all. Now I have seen these all over the city of Houston and I finally get a chance to check it out in Shreveport, LA! The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were remarkably larger than I expected. The location was very busy, to be expected since it was a Sunday. The staff worked remarkably well and they quickly accommodated a party of thirteen. The atmosphere was very laid back and great for a families. Regular customers answered any questions people in our party asked about there food. We were in the patio area and they allowed us to have Riley, my friends dog in the area. They were even nice enough to provide a cup of water for her. I received a second drink when our waitress accidentally dropped the small butter container in my drink as she removed dishes from our table. Nope the drink wasn't full, but i had maybe a fourth of it left. I didn't say a word she simply apologized and said she would take care of it. Gotta love that Southern hospitality and this restaurant in this great state displayed nothing different. I will be visiting a location here in Houston soon. Wow. Wow. Wow. That's all I can say. This is one of the best meals I've had since moving to Shreveport. Fantastic breakfast/brunch restaurant. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially for us first timers. There was enough patio seating. We probably had the maximum for patio seating, which was for a party of 6. If you're looking to try something different for breakfast/brunch, this is your spot! I've never had an omelette, let alone a seafood omelette, in my life. I'm glad this was the place to take that chance. The Mardi Gras was out of sight!! And the potatoes...OMG, heaven. Even the English muffin was hitting. 10 out of 10. I had the crab cake benedict it was not great at all. The flavor was just not there the egg was way bigger that the crab cake itself. The crab cake had shell in it. The poached egg was undercooked the potatoes did not have any seasoning. Maybe it was just a bad day for them or something but the food was not worth the money spent and the cook should be better. So this is the second time we have eaten here in a short period of time. The first time was maybe a month ago and our food came out cold. Ok, maybe an anomaly, which is how we viewed it. Then today, same thing! The food came to the table less than even luke warm. We didn't ask for a remake, both times we just asked for a warm up in the microwave. So, we are not being difficult customers, we are actually very chill and understanding about things happening, but this seems to be a pattern at this specific location. I am not sure if the other location has this problem. When we were walking out there were at least 5 employees, including the possible manager (orange shirt) , in the foyer hanging out chitty chatting: instead of running around taking care of customers with hot coffee, clearing plates, etc. Obviously, we won't be back, but I wanted to let others know, check your food before digging in so you won't get a mouth full of cold food! Oh and we had to ask for hot coffee and in the end, I just drank cold coffee. Very frustrating for the price that we paid for everything!!! read more

Food is good, but with only a couple of really good breakfast spots in the area, the wait can be long on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

First and Last time. Waited 35 minutes for a table, no problem. Waitress was nice, but then the 48 minute wait for food. A 14$ tiny little mimosa...no re-fill on coffee? My Lady ordered an egg-white omelette, which she said was good. I ordered the only menu item that fit into my Vegan lifestyle, which was a salad. The salad was to come with just a few ingredients..... when it showed up, it was covered with shredded chicken, and had the wrong dressing. I was very nice about it, and pretty soon I got a "new" salad, but I noticed it was missing the black beans and the onion and wouldn't ya know, i ran into some bits of Chicken. I was done complaining and just really wanted to get outta there. 50$ plus a 12$ tip, and that'll be the last time I set foot in there. Their business is gang-busters though, so they won't miss me. read more

My family and I eat at Another Broken egg often! My go to meals are bananas fosters waffles or Shrimp and city grits!!! Yum!!! My Daughter and I decided to eat here on Saturday around 12:15 this is generally when the place slows down from the morning rush!! When we arrived we were immediately seated. The restaurant wasn't busy, however we waited a hour for our food. I was disappointed that the portions have tremendously decreased. The waiter's service was OK. I placed reservations for six, two hours in advance. Once we arrived at the restaurant, they didn't have my party on the waiting list and couldn't find it anywhere. I used the reservation button on the Yelp App, but I will never trust it again. We had to sit on the curb for 1.5 hours before the Manager had to go into the system and manually input our group into the waiting list. Once our group was called, we were promptly seated and waters arrived. The waiter took our orders and when someone ordered something he thought wasn't that good, he spoke up and explained that it is something that he wouldn't order. I really appreciate him doing that and I took his word on it. We ordered a large order of Beignets that never came. We had to have them take off of the bill. The ladies at the front door were very understanding and did everything that they could to help. The manager stepped in and made the correction and the waiter was intelligent and confident in the menu. I will now make the reservations and then call to confirm them with the front desk. read more

All I can say we were very disappointed today again! We went back to try again after spending almost $50.00. I got the skinny omelette with gluten free pancakes, grits. Husband got spinach omelette with grits. The food was Luke warm and and use to get maple syrup not it's sugar free that is nasty. I use to love this place but not worth the money. Sorry to even write this review. That's why we stay home and eat cheaper and it's hot. The waitress was great very attentive and nice! I give her 5 stars!!!!! To top it off 4 very loud customers were so obnoxious we couldn't enjoy our breakfast. I don't ever write bad reviews but after today and spending almost 5o dollars not worth it! Went to Bossier Citi for a girls trip. On the way back home we stopped by Another Broken Egg Cafe after reading Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The menu is great, the coffee mugs are super cute and the service was great. The menu has a lot of fun seafood options for breakfast/brunch. The "city grits" are an absolute must. They have bacon and Gouda cheese!!! How can that be wrong??? They were fantastic. I had the Crab Cake Benedict with potatoes and city grits. The other girls had a pumpkin waffle, Smoked Salmon Benedict and an omelet. All of our food was GREAT!!! The coffee mugs were so cute. They had flavored creamer for the coffee (this is not as common and it was pre-COVID) They mugs had their logo on them and were a very cute shape. Meant to snap and pic and to tilt forgot. I was more interested in the Amazon's food we were experiencing. I highly recommend Another Broken Egg. I would definitely go back and may just go to Shreveport again to get something different on the menu. read more

Hmm this location was okay. I got the waffle and the potatoes with cheese and onions on it. When I arrived here I thought it would be really good as it was super packed, but ehhh. My waffle was extra extra soft and the potatoes were reallllllly salty. The potatoes also had another seasoning on it as well. They would've been really good if they weren't so salt. One thing I definitely liked about this restaurant is the ease of ordering over the phone. The customer service was really great and they were very accommodating. For that alone, I'm willing to try this restaurant again. read more
