I was excited to try this restaurant, another broken egg Café, because the menu looked quite interesting and I'm always up for a new breakfast place. I ordered a bacon burger and had a side of home fries and my wild child had a chicken biscuit with an over easy egg on top with grits. The burger was quite good and I appreciated the brioche bun and the fresh crisp topping ingredients. The potatoes - home fries - were undercooked and I could not eat them. The biscuit was quite good. The fried chicken was mediocre. The over easy egg was quite overcooked, and the grits had absolutely no flavor. You can add butter, salt, and pepper, and I did appreciate that they had a peppercorn and sea salt grinder on the table. The coffee was superb, however, I was unable to easily get a refill, I finally asked for one despite the fact that I put the empty cup at the corner of my table as a clue. The service was underwhelming. It did take quite some time for our food to come out and then after that, crickets. Because it is new, my review should not serve as a condemnation. they try to mask it, but this is a basic chain breakfast restaurant. on the same level as iHop. Got the lobster omelette and it was disgusting. I could smell the fishiness from around the corner walking back from the restroom- I knew our food must have gotten to the table because of the cheap lobster smell. Husband got some cinnamon French toast thing and it was SO sweet but not in a good way. Sub par cinnamon buns coated in caramel sauce. Their beignet-biscuits are literally biscuit dough deep fried with orange marmalade. Disappointed but feel like we should have known. Just got excited to try a new restaurant in one of our most frequented locations. *I will say that their brunch blueberry margarita was great, but a good cocktail is not enough for us to return. This was our 3rd visit and unfortunately our experiences keep going downhill. First visit was fabulous, second visit was meh, this visit was supremely disappointing. I have heard good things about the restaurant through word-of-mouth. My son and I hit up the restaurant on a Saturday morning around seven so they were not busy. I could see them being jampacked later in the morning. The inside is modern and spacious. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was awesome. I signed up for their emails so I received a coupon for a free order of their biscuit beignets. They are tasty but messy. I tried one of their seasonal coffees and sandwiches. The biscuit sandwich had fried chicken, pimento cheese and bacon jam. It was very tasty. For my side I had the breakfast potatoes, which were pretty good. I had their cinnamon roll cold brew, which was also delicious. It had a great creamy cinnamon flavor. My son enjoyed the kids chocolate chip pancakes with ham. The portions are generous so we had to take some things home. Overall, this is one of my favorite new breakfast spots and plan to eat here again. read more

Went Mother's Day weekend and put us on the list 1.5 hours in advanced, got there and waited maybe 20-30mins for a table. The food took a little bit to come out. It seemed like most tables around us weren't eating when we got seated, so that made me think the kitchen might be a bit slow. It was also pretty loud or echoing inside The food was a good portion size. I got the cinnamon roll French toast - it was a bit sweeter than I would've preferred but it was a lot of food. When I heard that they were bringing this to Winston Salem I knew I had to check it out for myself. On first impressions it immediately sets itself out as one of the new exciting brunch spots. I would recommend the "Crab Cakes Benedict" and the "Sunrise Spinach Scrambler". Both provided eggs that were perfectly cooked and a nice balance of flavor. As for drinks the "Golden Thyme" is one of their favorite mocktails and the "Vanilla Cold Brew" is a great selection for coffee lovers that want something sweet and bitter. Consider up-charging the grits and potatoes for "City Grits" and "Country Potatoes" for something that packs more flavor. Definitely worth checking out and will definitely be back again! read more

I wanted to send it back but I was too hungry to chance waiting another 45+ mins. And the whole time I was waiting for my food and the whole time I was eating my n it so great food my ears were being assaulted by how incredibly loud it was it the dining room. Such a great location in a beautifully renovated space. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. The food however left much lacking. The menu is all over the place. The food took quite long to come out. Once it did everything tasted dry and like it had been sitting even though we were in around opening time. The service was excellent. I had a cold brew and the Hey Lucy! Omelette. The coffee was ok, not strong enough, for me, and had that bottled coffee taste. The best one is in Raleigh, NC. The Cary, NC one was a bad experience as far as taste went, today we tried Winston-Salem. This chain has a great menu and NO TALENT TO EXECUTE THE DISHES. Today's bartender from up north just was coughing all in your face, over your drinks, in her hands, never washing them and then fixing drinks, touching every bit of speared fruit garnishes and coughing all the more. As more patrons set at the bar, she got a tad of consciousness and twice coughed into her elbow. She was eager to flim flam you on a few things. Not good at all, nor were the drinks. read more

We were welcomed warmly when we walked in the door. We got there about 8:45 and had no wait. We were seated right away and Jerimia greeted us with a smile. He was super helpful when we asked about the menu. We started off with the biscuit beignets. Those were such soft buttery biscuits doused in powdered sugar and so delicious. Then we split the strawberry pound cake French toast and OMG. That was probably the best French toast I've ever had. Then I had the Lucy omelet with chorizo and green chile. After waiting an hour & 20 minutes for a table it took another 30-35 minutes to get our food which was all breakfast fare. Pancakes and eggs were cold. Acoustics not great. Very loud atmosphere. What l order the eggs was cold, the biscuits was hard and wet, and the cheesy gifts had an ounce of cheese on it every thing was awful.
