It's been a long time since I've come here. The Bremerton ferries are running pretty rarely these days. If you missed your boat and don't feel like driving around, there are a few things you can do while you wait. This place is one of them. Before you go, just expect that the meat and fish will be over cooked. I.e. the fish will be super dry. That said, otherwise, it's actually pretty good! I suggest choosing something served with a salsa or a sauce that interests you, and use it liberally. The restaurant has a decent view and the decor is very marine themed and color schemed with fish prints but it didn't bother me. It's a beautiful restaurant, overlooking the water, and the ambience was terrific. Our waiter, forgot his name, but he was really really good. My husband and I both did the three 433 deal and I had petite steak with potatoes and broccoli, Caesar salad and crème brûlée for dessert and mine was really good. My husband had the, what they called prawns, but we're very small shrimp with rice, pilaf, and broccoli And clam chowder and also crème brûlée. As with all Anthony's they have good local seafood. The menu also varies with location. My nearest restaurant is in essentially a senior community and is limited, the Tacoma, Bremerton, Olympia, and Des Moines have larger menus. The food is always good, the service is good and they usually have a nice maritime view. I don't think you could go wrong at any location. read more

We had been wanting to try Anthony's at Sinclair Inlet, and met some family for a Holiday lunch here. What you will love: The View, The Setting, The Ambiance. You can see the ferry coming and going from your table, and the waterfront view is gorgeous! What you will hate: The 20 minute wait standing by the door trying to catch someone's eye to be seated (it was not busy...), the lunch menu selection (very limited), the price (very pricey for the quality and portion size). We were a group of four adults, and one child. We all tried the clam chowder ($9)-very tasty, but the "bowl" was smaller than the size of a ramekin- everyone was scraping the bottom to get our money's worth! The guys had the Shrimp BLT's ($18) and Shrimp taco (One Taco and Chowder $17), which came with fries. They both said they were really good. I had the Northwest Salad ($12) to go with my chowder. As you can see from the picture its mostly greens thrown on a plate with some pomegranate seeds, nothing else. Our child's meal was the grilled salmon-looked very fresh, and a huge portion for a child. Probably the best thing to try! Was it worth it? Yes-for the experience and treat for the holidays. Was completely disappointed....mainly with food portions, quality, and value. Hostess and server were nice enough, but acted generally uninterested and inconvenienced. My $36 halibut and chips was served with 2 tiny pieces of fish...probably only 2 oz each. The "award winning tempura batter" was soft and rubbery. I couldn't even eat the slaw due to overwhelming ginger and sesame flavor. (asian slaw with fish & chips?!) So, I essentially paid quite a bit for mediocre french fries. My husband ordered a burger, which he was only able to eat with a fork and knife due to the bottom bun literally falling apart and disintegrating into a soggy mess as soon as he picked it up. Chowder wasn't anything spectacular, either. Ceasar salad and kid's burger were fine...the calamari was outstanding. I wish the experience was better, as this is a great location in my hometown, but I surely won't return. Furthermore, after looking through recent reviews, I'm disappointed to see that the restaurant owner appears to only respond to generally positive reviews, not the ones where patrons have been unsatisfied. Went to Anthony's on a Friday afternoon,. Our experience started off on the wrong foot as about half the tables by the window were taken yet we had to wait to have one cleaned before being seated. The hostess was friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and our waitress was efficient and attentive. The reviews here seemed to be mostly positive for a special occasion restaurant so we made a reservation. This is NOT the place to come for fabulous food. We had the salmon and shrimp with rice and veggies - 1/10, barely edible. The corn tasted like it was from a can and the green beans were hard to chew. The salmon looked like it had sat under a warmer for 45 min, the color was an awful orange and it had no flavor at all. Do they prepare these dishes ahead of time and wait for someone to order it?? The salmon I buy at Costco is far superior to what I got at Anthony's. Maybe they should buy their fresh fish there! Our other dishes were a little better, a Caesar salad - 6/10, clam chowder 6/10, fish and chips - 7/10, the fish and fries were great but the slaw was an inedible pile of soggy, smelly cabbage. Dessert was the burnt cream - 5/10, heavy on the cold sugar topping. Would it be too much to ask for a restaurant to torch to sugar topping just prior to serving? For a $100+ meal I was expecting so much more. Really disappointing! The beautiful water views are not enough to draw me back here. Won't be dining at this Anthony's restaurant again. read more

Anthony's bills itself as fine dining. Regrettably, the service and the food resemble casual dining. Last night was my wifes birthday, and she specifically requested Anthony's. Off to a poor start, the hostesses greeted us like we were at Dennys. "Hi, so, how can I help you." (Uh, we're here to dine... how about asking if we want a table for 2, or if we have a reservation.) At least they acknowledged the birthday from the note in the reservation. But, alas, they were the only ones to do so all night. Our server acted more like he was a (bad) comic on the stand-up stage than a server. "I don't even know why we're offering this deal, it's so low priced. Stupid of us, but there you are." My wife and I took advantage of that surf-turf special anyway. Mine med-rare with scampi, hers med-well with crab and bearnase. Problem: The kitchen sent the med-rare steak Oscar style and the med-well alongside the scampi. We had to fix it ourselves. And neither of us wanted the toppings the other had. Yuck. The server saw us trading steaks and inquired, but offered no remedy (and barely an apology). Dessert was fine (Anthony's burnt creme), but again, delivered with an inappropriate warning: "This was freshly bruleed, so if you want it to have a crunchy top, let it sit here for a few minutes to harden." Seriously? No... if it's not ready to be served, then don't serve it. I don't want to sit there wondering if my food is ready to eat yet. Rest the thing in the kitchen, then send it on time. Again, if this were Dennys, IHOP, Shari's... and paying $25/person... I'd have not given this treatment a second thought. But Anthony's, at $50/person, is a whole other story. Try harder, do better, or lower your prices, and then maybe we'll lower our expectations, folks. read more

Value of Meal: 3 star - Ordered cup of clam chowder with one Mahi Mahi taco with tortilla chips and salsa - $ 23 and Shrimp Fettuccine- $24, it was ample serving and favorable. Their cup of chowder a la carte is $9, basically you are paying $14 for the piece of fish which was about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch think and a tortilla. Ambiance: 5 star- Nicely decorated and warm atmosphere. Great water view from all tables Service: 1 star - Lore Dana was our server , she was friendly and welcoming at first, which is a positive start. She brought our food and we asked for parmesan cheese for the fettuccine, she remarks "there is parmesan in the fettuccine" we asked for some more to sprinkle on top. She brought a cup full and sets down "There it is" her tone when responding to our request for extra parmesan cheese came across as dismissive Halfway through our meal she approached our table and asked if we wanted bread and butter, we declined since we were almost finished with our meal. It was frustrating that bread and butter were offered to other tables promptly but not to us until later, inconsistency in service. As we were finishing lunch, I was observing her interacting with another table and she offered them ground pepper and crackers for their clam chowder. When she brought us the bill, I asked why I did not get crackers, she responds "you had tortilla chips, this meal does not come with crackers", I politely responded with "ok" then she proceeds to tell me "You should have asked" Her comment could have been phrased more tactfully and not condescending. read more

Longtime patron of various Anthony's locations. So we thought it would be a treat to try the restaurant at Sinclair Inlet in Bremerton. Made reservations for my wife, daughter, and myself for dinner on Mother's Day. What a terrible decision! Here's what happened... () No notice that the Mother's Day menu was missing over half of the usual items and what was left was significantly more expensive than usual. () My daughter ordered a child's portion of fish and chips. I assumed it was cod. I ordered the halibut fish and chips and my wife ordered the only salad that seemed to qualify as an entree. () Service was rather slow but I put it down to it being a busy holiday (though in fact there were a number of empty tables) . Eventually my daughter's and my fish and chip orders were delivered. No salad for my wife and no explanation. After 10 minutes or so our waiter came to the table and said that the salad my wife ordered had been "thrown out" because it was so old. Another salad would be coming soon. () Meanwhile my daughter and I decided to start to eat our fish and chips. My daughter's fish was completely tasteless, no better than a fish stick from a grocery. My halibut was just as lacking in taste and to add insult to injury the fries that came with the fish was cold. Not room temperature. COLD. () After another 15-20 minutes my wife's salad arrived. If the original salad was deemed "too old" to serve I cannot imagine how the ingredients must have looked. The lettuce and other greens in the salad she received looked as if they have been sitting on a shelf for days. She managed to eat about half of it before giving up. In this instance, we had been out in the sun at Bremerton Raceway all morning and were looking forward to a late lunch and a cold brew with a view - one of our party wanted to head to Anthony's (my choice would have been The Boat Shed) and so we did. First, he checked their website to see if there was any issues...none reported. We got there and the door was locked and the light's were out (1:30pm on Saturday). The sign on the door said they were open and another sign explained their COVID 19 policies - but the door was locked and the lights were off and no sign of life inside. We came to the restaurant to meet our daughter and son-in-law for dinner. From the time we got off the elevator, the General Manager Joey greeted is with a big smile, had great conversation and took us to our table. Our kids showed a little later and we ordered. Our server, who unfortunately I didn't get her name, was amazing and took our order and the food came out hot and delicious. Key store by our table a couple of times during the meal to see how we were enjoying the food. At the end of the meal there was a small mishap with some food that spilled and the Team quickly cleaned it up. Joey had heard what happened, came and apologized and brought us a dessert. We (my wife, two adult children, and I) went after work on a Friday for our anniversary. We went early to try the Sunset Menu. All four preferred the sunset menu, plus a shrimp and artichoke dip to start. The fresh sourdough bread and the shrimp and artichoke dip were a great way to start. Then the Caesar salads and clam chowder helped get us ready. The entrees with the sunset menu were all appreciated. I liked the rock prawns, my son enjoyed the London broil, and my wife and daughter both liked the sockeye salmon. The rice pilaf and roasted Brussels sprouts were tasted. They got all you can eat prawns ($29) going on right now! I don't know how long this is going on for. They're prawns are a good size, hot and semi crispy! I'd say its very good! The AYCE prawns also comes with fries and salad which are also good. You can ask for all three or just prawns, every order of prawns comes with six pieces. It does take a couple minutes for it to come since they cook it as you order. You can definitely taste the freshness. I'd say it's worth it if you plan to eat a lot like me, are at least 36 of them haha. Customer service was on point, if the restaurant is not too busy, you can request to sit by the window to get a nice view. ALSO they devein the prawns, huge plus!! I was conveniently staying within walking distance of Anthony's the last part of 2018, and I ended up here at least 1-2 times a week during my stay. When I travel for work, I usually dine solo, so it's just easier to sit at the bar, which is pretty much where I was... I have to say the service I experienced at the bar was top notch! I had the pleasure of meeting Erykah, Suzanne, and a few of the other ladies during my 5 week work stint. And these ladies work hard! I felt like I had a fleet of sisters watching over me every time I was there, making sure I was ok and not getting bothered, bombarded, or harassed by some of the random patrons there. They have a full bar, but I usually ordered wine (maybe some whiskey, depending on the day I was having). As for the food, everything I've had there was fantastic! Honestly, just have the ladies at the bar take the lead on recommending dishes. I was there one week when they offered Sturgeon, and it was the highlight of all the meals I've had, and it wouldn't have been on my radar if it wasn't for their suggestion. We visited Anthony's on the recommendation of a police officer at the doc. It did not disappoint. I must eat the crab when I visit the coast and Anthony's helped me get there. My daughter got the whole dungeoness crab and I got the crab alfredo and we split it half and half. She had never cracked and eaten a crab like that and it was fun to watch. The alfredo was very tasty and I think I may have forgotten to breath. Excellent, tasty sea spider. Husband enjoyed the surf and turf and thought the steak was excellent. It was a bit on the high end and we may have gotten some looks in our bike gear with helmets in tow. Might want to put on something nice. : ) read more

Arriving in Bremerton, again, I knew that evening we would be eating at Anthony's again. I love this Anthony's. I love the location and I love the food. Anthony's has always been on my bucket list every time we're close. The weather was gorgeous and we weren't sure whether the best seating would be the outside patio which overlooks the marina or inside. Once we walked in the door, that decision was made for us. It was freezing inside!!! Dylan was our server. We were amazed at all the attention he was giving to the tables all around us. He knew his menu, he knew how to sell and how to appease the patrons. However, we felt we were the ugly duckling in the pond. We didn't get the same explanation on what we could have ordered. Matter of fact, we didn't get info. We had to ask for silverware, we had to ask for our check after waiting for a while. And, to top it off, he never asked how our meal was. Normally, we might not have thought a thing but were so impressed with the other tables service, that we did. Oh ... the meal. It was good. It's always good. Our waiter had only a few tables but I had to flag him down 10 minutes after my wife received her drink to ask if mine was ever going to show up. He never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Wouldn't make eye contact unless you called him when he was walking nearby. Just a really bad experience. With their prime location and high pricing I expected so much more. Do yourself a favor and go to their competitor just accross the bridge. There's only 1 bridge right there. We went there the next day, fantastic food, great clam chowder, beautiful views and excellent service. By far the better choice. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this place. I'm convinced these are paid reviews on every site. Location 3/5; Service 3/5; Food quality/price 1/5 Where to start.. I should preface this with saying we are fairly new to this area and still trying to find a decent place to eat on this side of the water after about 9 months. We have my parents in town visiting and wanted to pick a nice place. Found Anthony's, and reviews seemed promising... But I don't know how. Maybe it was an off night, maybe it's our expectations. But for spending $500+ for 6 people (4 adults, 2 children), I can say that there's no reason that left me wanting to come back. There's bad experiences that you shrug off and then there's bad experiences that you can't go without saying something. This is one of the latter. The food: My wife and my father both ordered the Dungeness crab. It was served with green beans which appeared to be water logged and all the excess water was in their bowl, giving them a way messier than normal experience, a little crab flavored water with some green beans was the result. The crab looked like it had been cooking in a pot so long the water boiled off. The legs would shatter into dozens of tiny pieces and the crab meat was dry. Dry... I feel like you really have to try to overcook crab legs. My mother got the crab cakes which she said were good so I'll leave it at that (Edit: ok my mom told me they were absolutely horrible but didn't want to be rude, so there's that). I got the Dungeness crab and sirloin steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. The crab was so over cooked that the crab shells were breaking into tons of tiny pieces and I literally had to take a drink of water after every bite, with the ends of the crab meat singed brown where it had shown signs of being over cooked, almost like the pot was running very low on water and not tended to. My green beans were the opposite of my wife and fathers. Mine appeared to have barely been cooked at all. The icing on this all was the mashed potatoes, or should I say potato brick. I literally stuck a fork in this square shape of mashed potatoes with a fork and held it up in the air to show my parents, I couldn't eat it. The only saving grace was the steak. Even though I asked for medium and it was barely medium well, it wasn't too over cooked and was actually really good. We were given nutcrackers for our crab legs and not crab crackers. While functionally most would assume they are the same, any place I have ever been has given you proper crab crackers and not those nut crackers you see with any walnut bowl. My kids: one got the cod fish and chips, and neither of us could stomach eating one. They were so insanely dry on the inside, it was near impossible to eat without drinking water between each bite. My other child got the crab fettuccine. She said it was good but barely touched it so I can't speak much more to it. They are both teenagers and generally not real picky I wanted to treat my parents to a nice place while they were here and unfortunately we kind of fell flat here. We had zero issues with the service but a lot of issues with the food. Right around $500 for this and normally I wouldn't bat an eye but when it's not decent quality, it's an issue. The irony in what I'm about to say isn't lost on me: You quite literally get a better quality meal in every way by just going to Red Lobster Looks like the search is still on for a good regular spot for us to go on this side of the water. read more
