Our Date Night Ruined and here's why : We walked in excited to try this place, minus the negative reviews I always like to try it myself. Atmosphere was clean, not too many people there at 7:30. We stood at the hostess desk for a while.. we saw the kind hostess walk back with a couple and never return. So we waited. Finally a server saw us just standing there and was about to greet us when the hostess ran out from the back. We were happily greeted she was very lovely and we were sat. She actually read the open table special note which I was impressed! Our baby is due soon and we just wanted a special date night kid free and by the window or outside. We were sat in a booth in the bar area . We were greeted by our server who promptly brought water, bread and got our appetizers which we ordered two. The Ahi "Nachos" four little chips definitely wish there was a little more , and Calamari which was quite yummy! We then placed our dinner orders which came promptly two female servers dropped the food and then our server came over and asked if we needed anything, we said "more water and more bread please" since we just had one refill of water so far... I had the pan seared oysters but they seemed gummy maybe the breading was off they weren't crisp all the way through. I enjoyed the veggies though ! My husband had the sockeye salmon which he stated was good and had no issues. So we sat there for about 15-20 minutes waiting for our server. No water ever came, so my husband finished his meal and I was just kind of done with mine since I didn't like the strong fishy taste or the breading. We heard a raspy voiced server yell across the bar to a couple that was standing waiting for food at the bar, the gentleman had his baby and was waiting next to his wife. She couldn't walk up to them and say something quietly ? She said "By law you need to walk down two steps no minors in the bar area" they had been standing there for 15 minutes waiting and the bartender had greeted them and didn't say a word to them... Then the bartender said to a manager possibly, "I have been here since 10:30 and I'm done " it was dead silent since no one was in the bar area with us as we sat like sitting ducks watching these awkward interactions and we definitely weren't trying to hear any of this either it was just that quiet.... So we are still sitting here by the time I have my card in my hand and ready to leave. A server from outside came in to ring some thing in on the POS station and saw that we were upset and came to our table. His name was Tim and he was phenomenal. (Bartender Tim I get it he didn't want to be there and was exhausted we have all been there. I've done food and bev for 15 years and that's why I left I get it) So Tim the server got us all checked out. Asked if we had any concerns about the service which we said we did because our server just left and we had no idea where he went and he never returned. We have been sitting there waiting for just waters since I'm 25 weeks pregnant and need water! One glass isn't enough. Since we ordered so much food as well. He said he was sorry about the situation and we were on our way. Out of the whole dinner he was the most kind person we had encountered the entire visit. We are walking to our car and guess who we see. We see our server walking down the street with a pool stick in his hand in normal clothes so obviously he left had to go to a pool game and couldn't check in with us that he was leaving ,couldn't touch base with us that he was turning the service over to the bartender nothing. Especially when the bartender was very busy since he already had four drinks to make and had to take care us and one other couple since the entire bar area was empty . I know my husband is trying to make the best of it just saying forget it but this is like our date night and it didn't go well at all. The food was good I just wasn't a big fan of mine but the appetizers were done well. But over service was a mess . read more

This place has so much potential but speaking from experience, it was less than sub-par. Between the outdated decor and overall inconsistencies across the board, I'm glad to say our dinner was covered by a gift card - I would not spend a penny of mine here happily. The menu online does not reflect what they have to offer in the restaurant. Upon arriving, the host was absent and needed to be summoned by other staff. The place was less than 25% at capacity, so there was no reason both hostesses should have abandoned their post. It took two hostess staff to seat us, and it appeared they had difficulty in finding us an open table for two in the nearly empty restaurant. The waiter we had was highly disappointing as they lacked any sort of organization and knowledge of the menu. We ordered an appetizer that failed to arrive - this was the most disappointing aspect given the fact this was the only item on the menu that seemed appetizing. My spouse ordered the steak and was unhappy. It was the smallest portion of steak I have ever seen. He left hungry. I ordered a fish that was under the favorites portion of the menu - this did not give me high hopes for the rest of the menu since the combination of sour cream, dill, red onion and white wine was definitely 'different.' The rice pilaf would have been better if it wasn't overloaded with almonds - it was too much. Our waiter felt it was necessary to provide us with a free dessert since we never received our appetizer. It was a cake like brownie with a hard chocolate shell and strawberry sauce. It was decent. Overall we would rate our dinner experience at a 4/10. read more

The best part of my meal was the warm sourdough bread and the wait staff. I ordered the cod special and the sauce was tasteless and the fish just didn't seem that fresh. The rice pilaf was a flavorless and textureless pile, and the green beans were meh. Wait staff was courteous and offered to replace it. I went with a safer spinach salad. The fresh peach was delightful but the blue cheese made for an odd pairing. It was a gorgeous night overlooking the marina. There was loud music playing from a boat and I think Anthony's could have stopped their music just to not compete. Lastly wait staff took my entree off so I feel somewhat conflicted in my review. I was looking for a place to host a team building event for a youth hockey team in Bremerton area. When I tried to call restaurants in Bremerton, most restaurants just hung up when they heard that I was looking to book for 30 people. One other restaurant was able to accommodate, but it was unable to do the time we wanted. Only Anthony's at Sinclair Inlet was able to accommodate us! We showed up there 10 minutes before our reserved time, and they were pretty much ready for us. They also offered us a free appetizer on each table. They also allowed us to do separate checks. (Many restaurants refuse to do so for a big group.) The only thing that disappointed me is that we couldn't order from Happy Hour menu as only sitting in the bar area can get Happy Hour Menu. However, there were many things to choose from their menu. They also had kids menu. The dishes were delicious, and the restaurant has a wonderful view to see the harbor. It was very convenient for us to hang out in the restaurant until we had to get on our ferry back to Seattle. Their customer service was excellent. With a big group of sports parents and kids, I know it's challenging for most restaurants. But they always showed their patience with us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to host a big event. read more

A wonderful ending to a long 10 hr day. I requested a specific table. The Hostess and Manager went out of their way to be accommodating to my appreciation. My colleagues and I dined on a four course meal: Fresh Oregon Bay Shrimp Cocktail, Anthonys Award - winning Clam Chowder, Lobster Fettuccine, and Salted Caramel Cheesecake. I can see why the chowder deserved all the accolades because it was amazing! Rich is taste and texture. It was no Campbell's soup but made with fresh ingredients. In addition, you can tell the lobster was roasted within its shell prior to being plated over the fettuccine. The ambience was soothing, with a great view of pier. Our good friends and previous neighbors recommended this particular Anthony's restaurant in Bremerton, WA. We're so pleased that we came here for or yummy dinner with a beautiful view of the bay. It requires a ferryboat ride there from downtown Seattle. Well worth it and very relaxing and scenic. The ferry fee was inexpensive for a round trip boat ride. The food here was delicious, plentiful and great service too!!! Before and after our dinner, we strolled around town before heading back to Seattle. Wow! If I had one word to describe Anthony's it simply would be 'WOW!' This fantastic find was behind my hotel in Bremerton. The happy hour (three-course $25) was an amazing deal, so good we came back two more times. You get a starter, featured dish and dessert. The clam chowder had large chunks of clams. I also tried the Hawaiian ahi tuna. The homemade taro chips added a nutty flavor to the tuna. It was hard to pick which one of these two were my favorite. The alder planked salmon and shrimp (Northwest duet) satisfied by seafood craving. The salmon took on a slightly sweet and smoky flavor fo the alder wood. The shrimp was good, but tiny. The server was top notch. We had an amazing waitress who remembered us, every down to our drinks. read more

We love taking the ferry from Seattle to Bremerton to catch happy hour at Anthony's. This past Labor Day we visited to check out the sunset dinner special: 4 courses for about $30. I ordered the ahi nachos, salad, steak and sundae. Everything was delicious and it was well worth the $30! My partner ordered the salmon crocatini as a starter and it was great--large chunk of salmon atop mashed potatoes and a cracker. What stood out most about this past visit though was our server, Dylan. The patio was packed, but Dylan did an excellent job attending to each table. He was upbeat, friendly and efficient. Just a quick review. Was staying at the Hampton Inn and got To Go a few nights while visiting. The food was great. There may have been some inconsistency in the size of my salad between the three meals I had and had to ask to heat my Creme Brulee after the first night it was not heated at all, I would have liked it a little warmer. I did joke with the staff about owing me a meal because they had waaay to many spaces reserved in the parking garage at the Hampton Inn. While the view is beautiful, and appetizers delicious. The main course I really wanted more flavor. I ordered the Mahi mahi from the special sheet, my husband got the halibut. My sister ordered the seafood fettuccine and needed to ask for more sauce. My mahi mahi cam with diced mahi and 2 pineapple triangles, it wasn't what I would call salsa, and wished the fish had more seasoning. We loved the Baja shrimp with tortilla chips, sort of like a shrimp cocktail mix. For the price we prefer another restaurant for a great dinner. Happy hour is good! read more

Overall I love the place but now they don't serve the one dish I used to get which is the crab linguine. It's amazing and they gave you MASSIVE chunks and it was amazing .... Now it's poof gone with no explanation and I have nothing to eat there now. I'm sad. I love their Cesar salad... seems to be a trend of mine, and last time we went we did try the fried green beans and those were awesome. Sooo idk. I wish the crab were there and I won't go back until it is cause for the money I don't love anything else. Hopefully it will be back soon! Low stars are for the service: it's incredibly slow. My parents stopped coming here about two years ago because of consistent slow service and again for the money... you shouldn't be waiting 30 mins to get a check ... Crab comes back and service kicks it up this will bump to a 5 ! I wanna give a 5! I ordered a Caesar salad and special which consisted of Salmon, string beans and rice pilaf. I wasn't a fan of the salmon (it wasn't seasoned) so I followed up and ordered the fried oysters which were horrible. They were very mushy and watery. The breading or oysters weren't seasoned. I couldn't tolerate them. I told the waiter I didn't like the oysters and he happily took my plate and offered dessert. I was curious to see if he would address that didn't eat either main dish but did not. Positive: salad, bread, rice pilaf and green beans weee okay. This was our second time at Anthony's. This time we were invited back by the general manager John. We sat in the bar. Dierra was the server/bartender. Chef Paul hooked us up with huge oysters, shelled Dungeness crab and we had other dishes too. The only disappointment was that we were cut off from the bar because they have a 3 double rule at the bar. We were there from 11 am to 3 pm but the drinks were not monitored by the normal 2 drinks or so per hour. We were OK to drink more legally I am in a wheelchair so I was taking the ferry to port orchard. We were gonna have wine with dinner but we couldn't. It would've been nice out they told us they had a house rule when it came to alcohol consumption before we started drinking. Look back for Kris B and Charlene B reviews. How in the hell is Meagan a bar tender and also a trainer that is too willing to mock those coming in with how they want to order lunch is one that is beyond me the entire meal unless she is only looking for tips as a way to show actual respect to her guests that even bringing up the issues to the meal did not have her respect of showing gratitude to the customer but then again when your trainee is not doing any work completely and there is no other customer inside I would be an entire fucking asshole to the customers too from the entire staff. What was once a pretty decent restaurant still charges you like it's something special ($100+ for two people with no alcohol), but it is now on par with Dennys or Sharis. The service, both seating and serving, slow. The food, blah, and most certainly not worth what they charge you. The GF had fish and chips. Fish was just average, the 'Coleslaw' was not coleslaw, it was basically Chinese cabbage with a little dressing sprinkled on it. I had Weathervane scallops, bad. I was a bit disappointed in both the food and the service. I had a bitter bee to drink and it was okay. We ordered surf and turf wagyu and crab. I would be hard pressed to believe such a tough piece of meat was wagyu. They gave me a medium and my sister the rare. Even though as they served it we reminded them who ordered what. The steak was dry and a little difficult to swallow. I used more salt and pepper than I would have liked to. The manager visited the table, and that is always a classic touch, but our waitress decided pretty early not to pay us any attention. The child's drink was served with a broken lid, almost an entire meal later we got another one after asking again. Waited for water refills, and never got the bread we asked for. We got the burnt cream, it was charred. I am still picking charcoal out of my molars. The steak was lacking basic seasonings as well as there being little to no béarnaise sauce. The highlight of the meal was the fried calamari. We also wanted to try the ahi nachos but they were unfortunately out. We made a reservation for 7 and after a few moments we were seated promptly. Out on a sunset ride when we decided to stop off and have an easy dinner and drinks. We shared a four piece cod and chips and an order of Manila clams. Clams where tasty and so was the bread they served with it. The fish and chips tasted of good quality and the slaw complemented it nicely! We were seated at a table at 7 pm on weekday and waited 20 minutes while our waitress ignore us after promising to bring water. We didnt want water, we wanted to order. Yes, our waitress was busy, but the restaurant was not. She should have asked for help from the many staff that were not busy. We had a large group on the patio this afternoon and I was so pleased with our experience. Dylan was our server and his professionalism was outstanding. He was fully attentive to our group as well as the other tables he was helping! The food was really, really good, and Dylan's great service enhanced our experience. I haven't been a huge fan of Anthony's in the past but after today I can't wait to go back! I should add that I had the crab cakes, which are all crab-no fillers- and delicious! The rice pilaf was amazing too. I'd go back just for the pilaf! Their new changes to the menu are not that great. I went for Mother's Day and the waitress forgot silverware, water, he forgot the drinks we ordered and originally gave our food to a different table and then took the food off the table and gave it to us. Then he proceeded to say oh sorry let me get the manager and my husband and I asked him not to and just to please get our check and he refused to listen to us and ran off looking for his manager. We got so embarrassed that we went to the front of the restaurant and asked them to please get our check. Paid and left. Only a limited review as we had drinks and light snacks here. It was late and the reception we attended only light appetizers and we were still hungry. This is a lovely Anthony's, nicer in design than others I've been in (Bellingham, Tacoma, Olympia, Tri-Cities). The view of Bremerton bay and the ferry terminal is super! Even though it was a bit after 9, we were able to get a bowl of chowdah and some wine. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful. (I note that as it was near closing time when they should be winding down). A full meal the next time I'm up there could be in my plans! read more

The family and I came to this location in Bremerton. My sister said it would be a good choice, while we waited to catch the ferry to Seattle, since most of us enjoy seafood as well as a place that served a variety of different dishes. Here's the dishes and items we ordered as read right off the menu: Anthony's Clam Chowder $4.50/$5.95 My take: the chunky soup was filled with celery and red potatoes the way I like it. But that's just it, it didn't take a whole lot different from a can of Chunky Soup or Progresso. I enjoyed the chowder very much but hardly distinguishable in taste to this chowder novice to the stuff you can get in a can. Dungeness Crab Salad with Chowder $14.95 - Dungeness crab, avocado, grapefruit, romaine and market greens with basil vinaigrette and Louie. Served with Anthony's clam chowder. My take: this probably their best bet or my suggested dish combo! The crab salad was fresh! The crab had good flavor and was given in good portions. The greens were crisp and colorful. The citrus tanginess of the grapefruit adds a good balance to the greens and vinaigrette dressing. Anthony's Baker's Bowl & Caesar Salad $10.95 - Our toasted sourdough local filled with our award-winning homemade clam chowder. Served with a Caesar salad. My take: what's better than chowder in a bread bowl? Their Caesar Salad is good but certainly nothing special. Fish Taco & Clam Chowder $9.95 - Your choice of one blackened rockfish or one mahi mahi taco with a cup of our award-winning homemade clam chowder. My take: this is the dish I ordered. The rockfish was firm and fresh but lacks flavor. The seasoning, the lime I squeezed on it nor the salsa fresca did much to enhance its taste. I was not too impressed. Mahi Mahi Tacos $11.95 - Chargrilled mahi mahi wrapped in warm Santa Fe tortilla Tortillas with tomato and salsa mayo. My take: I liked this more than the rockfish tacos. The mahi mahi has more flavor and I liked the salsa mayo dressing. This is a better bet if you're craving fish tacos in my opinion. Anthony's Peach Lemonade $3.95 - Our signature lemonade flavored with fresh local peaches. My take: their lemonade is homemade and can be a bit too sour and needs to be sweetened a tad bit, so the sweet taste and fibered texture of the peach nectar was a terrific balance to this drink. But I only took a sip because it's essentially a "chick drink". Ha-ha! Okay, don't hate please! This location is on Sinclair Inlet, in the new Harborside Development, adjacent to the Kitsap Conference Center where it overlooks the Bremerton Marina. When the weather is good, as it was this particular day, I strongly suggest you eat outside to enjoy the great view of the Sinclair Inlet while watching the Bremerton ferry and numerous Naval ships come and go. There's nothing like dining outdoors by the water while enjoying some pretty good and reasonably priced seafood! Even if you choose to stay indoors, as we did, there are windows everywhere so you will still enjoy an amazing scenery of the harbor, boats, neighboring mountains and villages - one of the great perks of being in the Pacific Northwest! Good deal. Came here on a weeknight and got the Sunset Dinner menu before 6pm. 4 courses for a little under $30 including tip! Walking distance from both the Hampton and Fairfield nearby, so don't have to look for parking if you're staying at either. Servers and hostesses are friendly. Service is a little slow--it might be a bit understaffed. But atmosphere is nice, and food was good for what it cost. Salmon croccatini: good, crispy Clam chowder: a little on the salty side Northwest duet: pretty good. Looks small at first but definitely filling and tasty Chocolate mousse: it was alright. Dessert is not their strong point. I would come here again on that deal, I was stuffed silly. But if you're looking for quality, it's not the top of the totem pole. read more
