She didn't greet me, had a scowl on her face the entire time, and was totally impatient as I asked her any question about a couple of the items. Sheesh! Find another job. BE VERY CAREFUL - - - NOTHING LIKE GETTING READY TO GO OUT, PUTTING ON THE NEW BEAUTIFUL DRESS AND THE THEFT TAG IS STILL ON. So back to the store - another 30 minute drive, by now the dres is a mess and it cost me $24 to have it pressed professionally. In addition, the quality is not consistent - check hems and seams carefully before buying. I found dresses with hems partially open and sewed that way for a four inch stretch of a normal hem. Ditto princess seaming on some dresses, there are gaps in the seaming. Great styles - just buy carefully!!!!! read more

Although we don't get very cold here in Orange County, I love Anthropologie's beautiful sweaters and coats during the winter months. I love the clothes so much that I'll actually go somewhere cold just to wear them! I really do love almost everything I find at Anthropologie, but I found this location to have a much more limited selection than the other (Newport Beach) store I usually go to. They did have some beautiful candles and other items for the home, they just didn't have the clothing that I'm used to seeing at the other locations. I'm really hoping I came here on an off day. I wandered around the store for a half and hour without hearing a single "hello". They were a bit busy, but this store did seem a bit understaffed. I still love you, Anthropologie, but I think I will still go to my other location for sales, service, and the cutest clothes ever!!! read more

I was in on Nov. 25th in the chaos left over from Black Friday. The store was quite busy and yet Katie, a tall brunette at cash made the time for me to do two phone orders and tracked down a pair of pants for me. I really appreciated her willingness to help me in the process of having a long line at cash and a loud environment. Anthro has made me a guest for years and they just keep continuing to do so with their guest experience. Thank you Katie. Dear Anthropolgie, next to diamonds, you are a girl's BFF! Anthro has me enticed with its alluring power for three reasons: 1) I'm captivated by their display items in the window and the beautifully decorated artwork--genius marketing! Their decorating artists must have the most fun job ever! 2) The store just smells delicious--they even had candles lit in the fitting room! 3) Last, but not least, the SALE room, of course! It's a gold mine and I've found some nice treasures in there! The store has beautiful trendy clothing and home decor. I've purchased some of the cutest and unique dresses and skirts from here. But I have to confess....I'm a total Anthroholic for the sale room in the back of the store. I usually just walk straight there because quite frankly, I feel that everything else is over-priced. The con: the staff isn't very friendly at this location and I wasn't greeted by anyone. There was no one in the fitting room area either to help. I came here to check out a dress I saw online, but to my disappointment, it looks more like $30.00, than $140.00 I know it's the type of style, but just not my type. Anyways, just to get it clear, I hardly give 1 stars, so when a star is given, this mean the place really pissed me off. When I walked in the store today, i asked one of the lady "I'm looking for a dress that's call a Mocha dress online." She then replied, "I don't know the name of the dress, you'll have to tell me how it looks like." So, I said "the dress is brown with a bow in the middle." She then replied, "Unless you're talking about sale rack, we have nothing like that." I then I told her that I called to make sure they have the dress before coming in, so the lady got agitated and told me again "we don't have the dress, you must have called the wrong store." Excuse me? Are you serious? So, then she decided to go ask the front ladies. Well, guess what? The front ladies told her that they have a dress which is a sleep wear style or something. She then apologized and said "I didn't think that was a dress, so she didn't know that was what I was looking for." HOW RUDE! Seriously, she basically insulted my style, and refused to service me before anything. I was looking for another top, but just decided to leave. I will never come back here again. You know what BITCH, I can just go to club monaco and jcrew where they are nice to me regardless of what I want to wear as a dress. I am jcrew's platinum customer and club mocaco's royal customer AND I never wait to buy anything I want on sale, so screw your service. Ok, this is my faaaaavorite place to go. I love Anthro! It's freakin' right next to Nordstrom. Good, at least it's not next to Forever 21. Phew! So I can drop a couple hundred bucks easily. But on a good day, I can get a beautiful silk skirt for 30 bucks and tax. That's what I'm talkin' about. Love love love their sale section. You gotta be patient though. And you can catch me in that mood almost every time I shop Anthro. (Oh and best time to go is on the weekdays...You get the store all to yourself. It's wonderful!) I love Anthropologie. I won't lie...about 65% of my clothing come from this store slash Anthro's website. Must be aware, though, of the quality of some of the clothing. They carry different brands and some are just more well-made than others. I suggest reading the consumer reviews on Anthro's website. The sales people at this store are usually very friendly. Depending on availability, there may be someone walking around asking if they could start a dressing room for you. This is especially great when your arm is cramping under the weight of the clothes you want to try on. This store has a large area for clothes which is the part i love the most. I always find great accessories here, and if you're looking for something for your pad, you'll find something cute to add. They have a large selection of knobs for your dresser, cabinet, whatever you can put a knob on! It'll definitely spruce it up! The store always has an overwhelming smell from the candles that are lit, but they do sell some of the chicest candles on the market! I love Anthropologie because of two things: dresses with pockets, and knobs!!! All the dresses here have the cutest pockets, some hidden, some shown. The dresses are super adorable, making you feel like somewhere between a fairae and a hippie. The drawer knobs here are sooooo cute. I wish they were not so expensive, but when I get my permanent set of furniture, all the knobs will be replaced by Anthropologie knobs! They are all funky, and some are a little gawdy, but that's why they are soo charming. I am imagining my Parisian room with it already! I come here a lot with my wife as she loves the clothing styles they sell. However, they often don't carry things in her size much to her dismay. A little variety on sizes would be appreciated. Another issue are the prices. They're hugely inflated. She basically only browses the sales section as that's the best place to find things that are reasonably priced. Beyond that, this store is always very well kept. There is plenty of room to roam around and see all the inventory without bumping into other customers. Employees are also very friendly and ready to help you with any questions you might have and they do it with a smile. read more

Although the selection isn't the greatest at this store, the girls working here are the nicest and most helpful of any that I've encountered. The lines are short, and they will do their best to honour a sale price if you already paid your purchase at full price. Exchanges are made easy. No wonder I love Anthropologie so much--in the US, at least. Their sale room is cramped, and I never seem to find what I like here, even if I purchased the exact same thing elsewhere. I'd have to say that Chicago has the best stores yet with NY following closely behind, (only due to the longer lines there) in my experiences. Still, for convenience and price when in the OC, it's a great shop at Spectrum. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll find a store that does. If they would change their layout of the sale area it would def. be a five star, in spite of the size. *Note*. As soon as I completed this review, the first catalogue I'd received from them in 6 months appeared at my door. It was like they knew that I was praising them. I was in this store today. I had ONE small item to purchase and I went to the left side of the register area and waited for the cashier-who saw me and said she would be right with me as she finished with a customer. I did not realize or see the place to stand in line on the right side of the registers. I even said out loud, I'm not sure where to form a line. Another customer went to that side and as the cashier finished up, an employee (manager??) waltzed by oblivious to how long I had been standing there and rudely informed me the line was on the other side and to go there. I know I was there first and had been waiting for a few minutes before the other customer even got there. The POLITE thing would have been to ask who was next and let me proceed with my purchase instead of being pointed to the end of the line in such a rude way. I love Anthropologie. I live by the Anthropologie style code. Whimsical, creative and fun comfy clothes is key in my life. I love Anthro's stylish clothes and whimsical, European home decor. It's eclectic and fun. I love everything about Anthro, except for the overpriced prices. Damn, prices will leave me in the poor house. But if I could throw caution to the wind, I'd shop for Anthro duds and home decor all the time. Since I can't, I end up using my sewing machine and crafty self to replicate the Anthro looks... Forever 21, Tar-get and thrift stores also help. It's the way it goes for now... There are so many delicious garments this winter that I must curse you, Anthro, if only for a second...and really it isn't you I should be projecting my discontent on, because of course I love you, sweet Anthropologie... but this weather is counter to what you and I need to accomplish together!! I mean - JEEZ, it's 102 degrees outside right now! Seriously, though - this is a great Anthro, just like at Fashion Island. The staff are all SUPER friendly and the sales "nook" in the back is ripe with scores. Some as low as $20! I just bought a super cute Splendid top and adorably delicate Deletta top (NOT $20) and am in love with this one pair of shorts that will look fabulous with tights and boots....(please go on sale, now, please please....ha) and there are a few other winter sweaters I'm loving right now....so knock it off, weather system! Beautiful store, they always have unusual clothes and decor. The clothes are expensive but appear well made and of quality fabrics. I like the lotions, perfumes and housewares. The scents are more natural and don't smell cheap, they smell like fresh flowers. And I'm a sucker for colorful plates, bowls and unique glassware. They change their interior decorations often and I'm truly impressed with their creativity. Fun store for all sorts of things. read more

I got my boyfriend's mom these porcelain push pins where each one was a different animal. I'd give it a higher rating but everything is really overpriced. I love looking in Anthropologie, but their clothes and accessories are just so dang expensive! They do have sales once in a while, so sometimes you can find a good deal. Otherwise, I mostly just browse for style ideas. The kitchen and gift sections are much more reasonable. My friend got me a really pretty bath mat here for Christmas, and a candle and scented body oil for my birthday, all for reasonable prices. So it's a good place to look for gifts. read more

My favorite Anthro to go to hands down. I always find something in this particular location and I am always greeted by a sales associate. The store itself is very well put together, it is clean and most importantly has amazing product. I find this location to be much better than the newport store at fashion island, although I do shop at that location as well. Anthropologie is a huge HUGE weakness of mine and I probably go into either of these locations at least once a week. My closet is stuffed with anthro goodies and my apartment is sparkling with several little jewels I have found throughout the years. The sale selection is good especially for housing in comparison to the Newport store. If you want a good clothing sale however I would probably go to the Newport store first. read more

Anthropologie has diminished my shopping horizons. I barely shop anywhere else. Everything here is cute, pretty, or trendy. Whenever I go in, I want to buy the entire store. Even the random letters made of metal or fabric. What are those for, anyway? Lots of things seem overpriced, but Anthro has fantastic sales. There are some items that fit so well and are so cute and can't be found anywhere else, that it's worth it to pay the full price. Also, Anthro monopolizes my gift-shopping time. Today they evem had an extra 30% off of their sale items, so that was great! My time at the register today went very quickly. Some of their stuff is pretty cute and classy but a lot of it looks like a grandma designed it (and put overly expensive price tags on the clothes that aren't made with the best quality). Mostly points docked off for poor customer service, the 3 women that "helped" me today were pretty sub par. The most annoying one was when I asked for a few wipes for their makeup testing section (in which they had the remover liquid but no wipes???) and she only came back with 1 tissue before dawdling behind the desk again, even when I was in line. Okay??? Thanks??? On the flipside, their makeup collection is actually very good, only ever had 1 faulty tube - but I do love their lipsticks. First of all, I'm an anthro nut so I like their clothes. It's definitely my style. I also like the home items. There's something I like about this location more than the Fashion Island location, but it is pretty much a tie. I recently visited the new location in Crystal Court and didn't like it at all. The service at this location is okay. If you want a lot of assistance, this one isn't the best. Although the Fashion Island location has more items on sale, this one seems to have better items on sale. I have no idea why. I'd rather find a 1-2 tops I really like on sale then a bunch that are okay, especially given the prices. Always be sure to check out the items on the tables that are folded. They are easy to miss because there's so much other stuff. I've found some of my favorite casual tops this way. I've never had much luck with pants here because I'm really thin and petite. But I love the shirts, sweaters and dresses. read more

She gets some great tops in this place, and every once in a while we will find one of the knick knacks for our home... (is that even how you spell knick knacks?) Since I really cannot comment much on the fashion stylings here, I can say this, GUYS.... don't wait outside on this one, the next time your woman wants to browse. They have killer comfy puffy sofas in there. There's never any guys in there, so it's all yours. This store makes me feel like a selfish little girl, and a selfish little girl I am! At any given time, I am quietly biding my time for two or three tantalizing treasures to go on sale. I come here sometimes just to remind myself that the world is still indeed a beautiful place. You know what, one of these days, I'm just gonna bring a book here and I don't know, make myself comfortable, and then pretend to be waiting for a friend. The saddest thing is, I used to scoff at this store. Really. My friend was really into it, and I was like "Hah! What is this! A store for grandmothers and blind people?" and then I would gasp and cry a little bit inside as I spotted something truly delicate and lovely and acted like I didn't care, that it wasn't breaking my heart or anything. My only complaint and docked star was when they forgot to remove a sensor from a tote I bought a couple months ago. I was so excited to use it that I intentionally made myself wait until Christmas (which strangely, came in late November) but then discovered that they'd never removed the sensor. So I had to wait until my next Irvine Spectrum run. Oh well. They were nice about it and removed it even though I didn't have my receipt and they apologized for the inconvenience. I had purchased some gorgeous bedding 6 months ago. But when it came, the king size quilt wasn't big enough to cover the sides of the mattress. When I tried to return it online it wouldn't let me. I emailed several times describing my situation but kept getting told to return it online. And from previous experience I knew the local store wasn't accepting in-store returns of bedding. Finally I got up the courage to try again in-person to see if I could fix it, and the kindest, most helpful, patient salesperson helped me. She even did a ton of troubleshooting to get the return processed. Her name was Faith. Before coming in I had deleted the Anthropologie app and vowed to never shop there again because of the awful email exchange. But Faith renewed my faith in Anthropologie.
