I had purchased some gorgeous bedding 6 months ago. But when it came, the king size quilt wasn't big enough to cover the sides of the mattress. When I tried to return it online it wouldn't let me. I emailed several times describing my situation but kept getting told to return it online. And from previous experience I knew the local store wasn't accepting in-store returns of bedding. Finally I got up the courage to try again in-person to see if I could fix it, and the kindest, most helpful, patient salesperson helped me. She even did a ton of troubleshooting to get the return processed. Her name was Faith. Before coming in I had deleted the Anthropologie app and vowed to never shop there again because of the awful email exchange. But Faith renewed my faith in Anthropologie. Everything in here is so cute, charming, and feminine. I love window shopping in here and checking out their sale section once in awhile. I love this Anthropologie. It's located right next to the Nordstrom, so easy for parking and accessibility. I don't do much shopping at Anthro because, quite frankly, it's pricey... but I do love it for gifts. Buying luxurious candles and home goods always feels like a bit of an indulgence, but I appreciate that Anthropologie has a wide selection of brands (Voluspa, Royal Apothecary, just to name a couple) and slightly different price points. It's hard to run in and out, though, because everything's laid out very much in an organic way (as opposed to all the candles in one place), but if you have a few moments, it's very enjoyable. TIP: They have great gift packaging as well, so don't forget to ask for it if you need it. read more

Great store and lovely items, but what REALLY impressed me was the customer service. They want you to leave happy. They worked super hard to find me a bedding item I had been looking for (Marled Jersey quilt + shams), and when it wasn't what I was expecting, they went above and beyond to get my what I did want (ended up ordering the Georgina set in dark grey) and had ordered all the items I was looking for over the phone and waived delivery. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. My item arrived in the mail practically the next day (AWESOME), and the texture wasn't as soft as I was hoping (a bit on the rough side actually), but I am in LOVE with the look. Husband's only requirement for fancy linens is a soft cozy texture. Desperate to have this set work out for my husband and I, I emailed the returns rep, asking if I could wash the item to see if the stiffness would improve and they promptly got back to me, stating that I was free to try and if there were no improvements they would take the item back as their products are fully guaranteed. The price you pay is for excellent service and honest policies. read more

I honestly wish I could give more stars, but my most recent experience at Anthropologie Irvine Spectrum was so poor it made me download Yelp just to get my point across. First, I tried calling customer service about an issue with returning an online order at Fashion Island. I get their return policy changed but customer service ended up giving me attitude. I then tried calling Irvine Anthro to see if they could make an exception or help me in any way as I was lost. I spoke to a very nice staff member on the phone and she told me to bring the item into the store and they would make an exception as the situation was confusing. When I got into the store, the first thing I saw when I walked in was a girl standing behind the counter staring right through me. Not greeted once, but whatever. I walked up to her and told her I called and spoke with someone on the phone and she cut me off and told me to get in line. I was taken aback by the abruptness and then looked and saw there was no line. I went to where she pointed and was then asked to come up by a different girl at the counter. She was not who I spoke to and was confused by the situation so she asked the woman who I first spoke to to help (apparently she is the manager). The girl walked away to help a customer and I was left with the manager. She denied my return request even after I said I spoke with someone in the phone who told me differently. Her tone was hostile and she offered no way for me to get help, basically making me feel hopeless on the corporate and store level. I got frustrated as I have never been treated this was inside an Anthropologie store and asked if there was anyone else above I could speak to and she said she was the highest level in the store and that her say was final. She gave me one final "sorry" and then walked away. I started to get my things and then asked another staff member what her name was. Her name is Michelle, and I am not one for calling people out but I spend good money at anthro and I feel like the least she could have done was sympathize with me and make me feel important. Maybe she was having a bad day but her bad day made me not want to come back to Irvine. read more

Absolutely my favorite store in the whole world for the past 5 years! I probably only buy something from this store twice a year, but boy is it a special occasion. The quality and uniqueness of their items (especially the dresses) is remarkable. I bought my prom, high school grad, and college graduation dress from here. They are all age appropriate AND would still be considered fashionable by today's standards.. if I could just fit into them again. I'm graduating with my master's at the end of the year, and one of the things that keeps me motivated is knowing I get to pick a pretty lil' dress out from anthropologie for the occasion :o) read more

Ok so this was my favorite store. WORST RETURN POLICY EVER!!!! I got a present for Christmas and it didn't work out. I drove down to return it with the original receipt that I retrieved from my mom whom is disabled. I asked that they refund her debit card. NOPE!!!! I needed to get a merchandise credit. I have the original receipt. There was nothing I liked DON'T try and force me to use my mom's money at your store. I WON'T BE COMING BACK FOR THE SIMPLE PRINCIPLE of you trying to mandate that the money be spent at your store!! I will make another trip with my mom's debit card just to ensure this money is not spent here!!! read more

I've been here numerous times with my fiancé but this marked my first visit here alone. I was shopping for an anniversary gift and I was hoping to just walk in, see something perfect and buy it. However, that's not what happened. I found myself wandering from section to section. There was just so much to choose from that I was getting a bit flustered. One of the girls working asked if she could help me find something and after talking a bit she showed me a few things she thought would work. I ended up buying a really beautiful scarf that I'm confident my fiancé will love. The last two times I shopped here, the salesperson left the security tag on my clothing. The worst is going to your closet to get out your new skirt and seeing a security tag on it. This is not a convenient location you can "pop in" to. Parking is a hassle and then you have to walk thru a mall to get to the store. Even worse is when you ask the manager for a discount and he snottily replies, "I'm not even supposed to take this tag off for you without a receipt". Hmmm. Pretty insulting as now you sound like you are accusing me of stealing and it was your mistake that inconvenienced me! read more

I generally don't like posting negative reviews, however, after my first (and likely only) time at this store, I am leaving very frustrated. I arrived with a friend trying to return a sweater. The first thing the cashier told us was 'line is over there'. Not a hello was mentioned. The cashiers are extremely slow. After looking around and finding a shirt we liked we went got back in line. Although there were a few people working only one person was at the cash register. After 10 minutes or so the line started getting very long. It took and additional 5 minutes before another employee finally came to the register. When someone finally did come to help us, she was very rude and passed us along to the first cashier. I'm not one to complain, but it was a bad experience over all. I will not be shopping there again. read more

why is this store so dirty? it's always dirty when i come in. there are mounds of dust bunnies that collect on the floors and on shelves. and oh my god... their shelves, you can tell they've been painting over some of them white, but the ones they haven't got to yet have these rings of yellow/brown and spots of mold. DISGUSTING! i can't help, but to look for these flaws whenever i walk in... it totally distracts me from shopping. one time i was over by the front looking at some dresses and dropped one on the brick floor and when i picked it up... i swear, it grew fur. this $200+ dress was then covered in dust that didn't look like it was on the floor because the brick hid it so well, but the entire floor was carpeted with it! AGAIN, DISGUSTING! and where have all the sales people gone? i feel like i see less people working on the floor nowadays, maybe they're short staffed. (that would explain the filthy store) there's been a decrease in greetings and help... and people at the register. i feel like i've stood in line alone... in an empty store... with no one in sight to help me with my transaction one too many times. there was this one woman, didn't catch her name... she was short, light eyes, long, curled, dirty blonde hair (that probably description probably didn't help, but that's all i have). anyway, i thought she was a customer and then i saw her moving merchandise around. she clearly saw me standing there needing help, but kept on with her task to organize and ignore me. i can see her staring at me as she played with the clothes, but she did nothing. thanks... you troll. why am i willing to pay so much money in a store whose employees don't care about their job? there's an obvious reflection which makes me uncomfortable and irritated every time i think of this store. not that they'd notice, but anthropologie irvine has lost a customer. yelpers, i promise, i've given this store so many tries... i just can't anymore. read more

This place is so girlie I adore it. Their inventory is always changing with the seasons, and the sale merch is always well stocked. While the clothing styles are pretty and feminine, I don't find myself purchasing any. However, I'll splurge on a scented candle or home knick knack on occasion. This is where I first discovered Cucina hand lotion. Still the only brand I use in our kitchen prep area. read more

I've said it before and I'll say it again: champagne taste on a beer budget. This dilemma is perhaps best exemplified by love of Anthro while I'm struggling to get by on grad school loans. For obvious reasons, Anthropologie does not make up the bulk of my wardrobe, but I have a number of dresses, tops, jeans and even a purse from here and I adore them all. I know that whenever I'm wearing something from Antropologie I will get a compliment. Too bad I can't afford more of it at the moment! Came in to shop for a last minute gift. I work through the weekend so today was the only day I could really do it. I ran over to this store and immediately the employee at the front said just so you know we close in 10-15 minutes. She was nice about it and I didn't want to keep them late so I knew I had to hustle. I walked to another section of the store and another employee now said we close our registers in 5 minutes because everyone has to be out of the store by the time we close. And again, I know it was late, totally my fault but I'm trying to hurry. I get to another section of the store and AGAIN another employee says not sure if you know that we close in 5 minutes. At this point I'm stressed, it's the end of a long work week, I'm trying to grab a last minute gift so I say yes, I know. And she responds thank you for your patience haha! I understand the acknowledgment at the door, I did not need to be reminded two more times and would have greatly appreciated a 10 minute grace period which almost all stores with great customer service happily accommodate. read more

The sale section is great but everything in this store just suits me and my style. The cutest sweaters, pajamas and bedding. I came here last night to make a couple overdue returns from Christmas and the manager Tara was so genuine, sweet, and helpful. One of the items I was returning did not have a tag or item number or anything but she looked up the skew number and retail number online and returned it without any questions. I felt like I was at Nordstrom with their amazing return policy. She was so sweet and pleasant to be around. It's rare these days to have a pleasant experience at a retail store. Their entire 'interior design" section is basically the reason I live. I love that portion of the store so much I don't even bother looking at the overpriced clothing. Their candles smell so good and their bedroom sets are always super cute. I wish everything was more affordable but that's my only complaint. I LOVE this store! So many cute clothes and home goods! Everytime I go in I see something that I just have to have! The people working there are very nice and the dressing rooms are pretty large with lots of hangers to put your stuff on. The store is also very well kept up and tidy. The only negative is that their items are not inexpensive. Tops start usually at about $40 and then seem to just keep climbing in price after that :( Wish they had more sales and a better in store rewards program. There is a sale section for home goods and clothes, but for the clothes its very tough to find your size. Either its too big or too small. read more

I particularly love this location due to its easy in and easy outability. so when i grow up (not that i'm not already grown), but i mean grow up grow up....my place is going to be adorned with anthro furniture/decor. i am so in love with anthropologie i don't know what to do. this one does tend to get a bit busy near the holidays and such, but hey...it's anthropologie. what do you expect? the staff here are very friendly. i've never had a problem with purchases/returns/exchanges. it's not one of their bigger stores, but it's close and comfy. i must say that even though this is an expensive shop, it's worth it. i've purchased quite a few dresses/tops/sweaters/pants from here and i ALWAYS get compliments. no one has ever said anything bad/mean/rude about a piece of clothing/jewelry that i've purchased here. it's also a great spot to get gifts. so make sure to stop by when you're in the area. read more

The store at the Spectrum has awful customer service. I was at the store ready to make purchase. There was no one at the counter. I was told that cashier was helping another customer, which was fine. I stood in line. The cashier then helped someone else who came after me. I placed the merchandise on counter and walked out of the store. This is the 2nd time they I've experienced this level of customer service, which is really pathetic. So to Nordstrom I went to spend a lot of money. read more
